  1. As you might have seen from recent posts on the old 55 turn playthrough thread, I'm thinking of starting this up again, aiming for a 51 or 52 turn clear of Shadow Dragon on H5! This playthrough will involve significantly more RNG abuse than the previous one, and will perhaps be slightly less interesting to watch (besides Jagen during the early game, pretty much only Marth and Caeda are ever going to do any useful combat). On one hand, this makes guessing the correct answers to the topic poll questions a little bit more interesting, but it does have the potential to make the playthrough become even more bland than it already is, since there won't be any interesting Jake or Hardin shenanigans to watch. Anyway, tentative turn counts for the 51 turn playthrough are posted below: [spoiler=Expected Turn Counts]Chapter 1 (5 turns) Chapter 2 (4 turns) Chapter 3 (5 turns) Chapter 4 (2 turns) Chapter 5 (4 turns) Chapter 6 (2 turns) Chapter 7 (2 turns) Chapter 8 (2 turns) Chapter 9 (1 turn) Chapter 10 (2 turns) Chapter 11 (1 turn) Chapter 12 (2 turns) Chapter 13 (2 turns) Chapter 14 (2 turns) Chapter 15 (2 turns) Chapter 16 (1 turn) Chapter 17 (1 turn) Chapter 18 (1 turn) Chapter 19 (1 turn) Chapter 20 (3 turns) Chapter 21 (1 turn) Chapter 22 (1 turn) Chapter 23 (1 turn) Chapter 24 (1 turn) Chapter 24x (1 turn) Endgame (1 turn) I'm probably not going to actually start work on this for some time, but feel free to post comments, questions, advice, or anything you think I might find useful during the planning stages of this run. I have some tentative strategies for most of the chapters at this point in time, so if you want to ask about forges, character recruitment, or general strategy, I can probably answer most questions that you may have. Hope you guys will enjoy!

  3. I probably got mine today. I was literally blessed by the Goddess herself. I was playing FE: Awakening and attempted chapter 10 on Lunatic+ [No DLC/Avatar Logbook] first time. The chapter was going smoothly until around turn 6 when I felt I need to retreat my units to the beginning. The 3 wyvern reinforcements coming from the fortresses got me off guard a little (especially the one closest to the starting area) and I was about to give up the hope. All of my units were in the reach of the enemy reinforcement units. They started to move and for some reason they all came for Sumia&Chrom pairing, one by one. The first wyvern that engaged battle had Luna+/Hawkeye combination (Of course –.–). Chrom dual guards the blow and helps Sumia defeat the foe. (Lucky!) Though It’s not helpful enough when There’s still two bloodthirsty bastards waiting for their turn to catch their pray. The next wyvern rider had Aegis+/counter and possibly something else as third skill (I never got the chance to know that ). Chrom dualguards again and my Sumia hits the wyrm two times with wind tome for total of 12 counter damage (She’s Dark Flier, btw.) Chrom then finishes of the Wyvern. (2/3 survived.) Then the last Enemy. It had 51 accuracy and could potentially oneshot my 20HP Sumia with a 25 damage blow. But then Chrom comes to dual guard his wife third time in a row O.o . Sumia then crits the wyrm and lets chrom do the finishing blow. Result: I survived the enemy assault and managed to complete the chapter because of that. Pick a god and pray: best L+ Strategy ever. So, what are your luckiest RNG string you remember pulling of in FE on Player/Enemy Phase when you most needed it?
  4. HELLO SERENES FOREST! TacticsEmblem here to give you guys an introduction to a project I have been working on all summer. Dungeons & Emblems is a multiplayer Fire Emblem I crafted in Excel and Google Sheets. It has been no easy task, but I finally wrote enough information to actually play the game! New features are often being added, so expect expansion packs. Here are some of the features in this game so far: 56 jobs, each with three ranks, distributed between 7 classes: Soldier, Mercenary, Occultist, Mystic, Outlaw, Performer, and Noble. 7 types of physical arms: Sword, Lance, Axe, Bow, Knife, and new Caestus and Staff (for healers to bonk their enemies with). 8 types of magic spells: Staff, Fire, Wind, Water, Thunder, Light, Darkness, and Geomancy. 2 types of performance: Song and Dance Many Heavy Armors, Light Armors, Shields, Boots, and Accessories 20 personality types, each offering a unique set of bonuses for support units 175 Skills 17 status ailments, more ways to inflict them, and RNG rolls to do so Neat experience table 50 levels of character growth Features coming soon (once I recover the info from my HDD): Monsters, some actually original, most borrowed from myth, legend, literature, and other games. An original world map Some mostly original characters 2 types of crafting, Alchemy and Enchantment 4 types of summon spells: Necromancy, Demonology, Hagiology, and Animation Changes and Omissions (based on features found in GBA and GC versions of Fire Emblem): No character constitution or weight, and therefore no rescuing or shoving No biorhythm No Laguz Magic stat renamed to Intelligence, Skill stat renamed to Dexterity, Resistance shortened to Resist Items like Vulnerary can be used on units, rather than used BY them (think Final Fantasy Tactics) Spell tomes don't degrade if they miss. Difference in experience award between mere survival/missing and avoiding, and between killing and one-hit killing Physical damage weapons with elemental attributes That's all I can think of right now. I'm interested in questions, comments, and concerns anyone might have about this project. I have been working pretty hard on it, and it's still being tested and developed, so any volunteers would be appreciated. I'll post some files later, maybe in an hour so hang tight.
  5. So one day I had a brilliant idea "Lets do a KOTOR Run where I RNG my Attributes and Skills and let everyone else vote on my feats" but I decided that since there ain't a whole lot of builds that are really sub-optimal in KOTOR that it wouldn't be torture enough. So I looked up on how to Screenshot DA:O and decided to go with that instead. So this basically this is as described above. I use a Random Number Generator for my stats and you all get to decide what combat skills I'm picking up. And as you can judge by the "masochism" tag I don't trust you all to not force me to switch between 4 sets of weapons all the time. So this is going to be fun. Before we can get to the meat though, we need to create our character We have a choice of Humans, Elves and Dwarves, as well as 6 backgrounds, Dwarves and Elves (unless it's Mage Elf) get 2 origins to choose from however both Mages and Humans have only 1 background. Also of note is that Dwarves can't be mages unfortunately. As for as I know there is no difference in stats for all the races. A quick summary of the Backgrounds: Human Noble: Only Human background. Your the Son/Daughter of the Cousland family and your brother along with your house's troops. After he leaves though, your attacked by another Noble Asshole Magi: All Mages are locked up in a big tower by the Chantry and Templars. After you pass a test to become a true Mage, one of your friends reveals he's dating a Chantry Priestess, which is forbidden, and you aid him in escaping Dalish Elf: Elves who don't like living with their oppresive human overlords so they live in the woods. One day you and a fellow tribesman discover a Demonic artifact in a cave. City Elf: Your about to be wedded to a lovely woman/man when all of a sudden a noble's son takes your bride/you to rape her/you at his party. Dwarven Noble: Your the favored son of the king and are about to lead an army I think? I don't know, I've never played this route. Dwarven Commoner: You are a casteless, Dwarves with out a special mark and are therefore are heavily discriminated against. As such you work for a local crime lord to get by. Anywho, the poll is there, get voting and tomorrow around 3-4 PM EST I'll update it with the Skills Poll, as well as showing you my Character and RNG'd stats after that. Eventually we'll also have to pick the specialization we get at Level 10. I feel like I'm forgetting something but I keep checking and I have everything so if I am please tell me. If you also want Info on how to make me suffer either check this wiki or ask me.
  6. ^Basically the topic; what are the craziest instances of the RNG screwing with you that you've seen? Lemee start things off: This is my first time playing FE6. Somehow, I don't think Lugh is supposed to have 11 defense at level 12 (see: 15% defense growth, 3 base defense). I'm sure I've had other equally ridiculous cases of weird RNG, but this one is super fresh on my mind because it's in progress. You guys got anything?
  7. I want to beat Lunatic+ with a +Skill -Def MU. The only way I can see this being possible is with really good level ups. Fortunately I have a digital copy of the game, so I can back up my saves. Does anyone know how to burn the set of RNs used for level ups?
  8. Have you ever gotten a unit that had their stats distributed really weird because of the RNG? I just started an Ike solo playthrough on Hard Mode in FE9, and by Lv. 10 Ranger he had 5 defense and 8 resistance. Yeah. No defense growths for 9 levels at a 40% percent chance each, and on the other hand he got 8 resistance growths at 40% each in 9 levels. As a Lv. 20 Ranger, he's sitting pretty with 11 defense and 15 resistance. The mages are just *Ting*ing off Ike right now.

    No RNG Hack?

I was looking here: https://sites.google.com/site/archsagex/hack-categories And I noticed there was a 'no RNG hack'. And, I, of course, in all my stupidity, cannot find it. Does anyone have the patch, and if so, could you link it to me?
  10. I`m still playing Gaiden but I`ve been having many problems with its RNG I mean its so ridiculous how many times I miss my hits compared to the enemy and my characters have quite high hit why so many misses? I`m stuck on Alm`s route now as the random paladin fights are costing me not even save states are helping :( almost everyone gets double attacked by the cavaliers and no one can do decent damage except Ruka but the layout of the map and the fact I`m ambushed does not help me to get any close to victory darn game if only if I would not miss so much hits. I`ll post a picture of the map I`m stuck on.
  11. In the next week, I plan on restarting my lunatic playthrough and replacing it with a new lunatic file. I just made it past the fort chapter, seventeen I believe. Any suggestions? Any special way of dealing with the +10 hit chance people? I could use some help.
