  1. Since there are three Fire Emblem games got remakes that are Shadow Dragon, New Mystery of the Emblem, and the upcoming Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. I think the next one that we might get a remake next is Genealogy of the Holy War and the next one after Genealogy of the Holy will be Thracia 776 since it's a mid equal to Genealogy of the Holy War, but since there is going to be a new upcoming Switch title that is going to be brand new story, do you guys think that Intelligence System will might make a Genealogy of the Holy War remake sometime after the upcoming Fire Emblem Switch title that gets released in 2018 or do you guys think it will might going to be later than that?
  2. What changes do you want to see in the remake of Gaiden, the second Fire Emblem game made, aside from balanced classes and what we already seen in the trailer? Personally, I want to see the Weapon Triangle, fixed maps (I never played it myself, but those that have complain about about how bad some of them were), casual mode (I'm a casual noob, I'll admit), support system like the GBA games to help the characters develop and expand more than in the original, and better growths.
  3. Alright, so the game's been out for about a week, now. How far have you all gotten? What are your thoughts on it? Personally, I like it, for the most part. Everything's been rather pleasant, and the visuals are very nice to look at. I haven't bought any weapons or armor, yet. I've ran through the game with only what I've found and I've just finished up Greenthumb Gardens which I am very depressed about. I knew entirely what was going to happen, so it wasn't exactly fun to relive that. Only downside is, I can't recall for the life of me how to do the Monster Park. I've sent monsters there, but haven't seen them.
  4. Hello! I, like many others, have found that owning a physical copy of Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance has become impossible without first shelling out hundreds of dollars. Plus, who has time to plugin their Gamecube, sit down, and play a game anymore? Therefore, as my skills in Fire Emblem hacking are few, I am proposing a group project to remake PoR in a pixelated, more portable format. This game will be called Fire Emblem: Portable Radiance (or Path of Radiance, we can vote on this later) It will be based off of the FE7 Rom and will be as close to the original as humanly possible. Some features will have to be cut because either they are bad gameplay elements or they are not possible on the Gameboy Advanced hardware. These will include: Biorhythms Laguz Gauges (will be replaced by claws, beak, etc. that function like infinite dragonstones, but with certain drawbacks) Skills (unless someone can implement class-specific skills like Sol, Aether, Impale, etc.) Bonus Exp. (unless someone can implement it easily) Trial Maps (DLC???? ) Support Bonuses Automatic Class-Ups (unless able to be implemented, each character could come with a class-up item that only worked at level 20) In-battle Recruitment (as far as I know this is not possible, except for villages) The Ranger class (seriously, Intelligent Systems?) This list is not final. Many things will be added to or removed from the list during development. Now onto the positive stuff. The development team!! YAYYYYY!!! I will act as the group/project manager and will be in charge of organization, updates and what the project should be like. Here is the list of open positions that need to be filled and their requirements: Assistant Manager - Aids manager and handles problems with staff, file management, etc. Must be readily available to answer questions from staff. Sprites:Pixel Artist - Chief of Sprite staff. Someone who has past experience in FE pixel art creation. Must be able to adapt portraits, overworld sprites, in-battle sprites, and item icons from source material into the project. Battle Animator - Similar to pixel artist, but for the characters' movements in battle. If able, can be combined with pixel artist. Background and Tile Set Editor - Must be able to edit backgrounds and tile sets (terrain) to resemble source material. Coding: (must be able to use Nightmare and other coding programs)Chief Coder - Codes main game play elements, such as text and events, directly from the source material. Also manages other coders. Must have experience hacking GBA Fire Emblem titles Character Coder - Codes all of the character info, stats, classes, etc. from source material. Map Editor - Edits in-game levels to match the source material. Also edits movement costs. Tutorial Get-ridder - Gets rid of the tutorial. Weapon Coder - Edits weapons to match source material. Menu Editor - Edits menus and such to match source material Miscellaneous:Compiler - Hardest job. Must compile all the data to make one coherent game. Must produce a demo with one level and all features and then produce the full game. Bug Tester - Make sure all features work as they are supposed to. Beta Tester - Much like the bug tester, makes sure every version of the patch is fully playable before release. Many of these jobs can be take by one person if they have the necessary skill sets, so don't me scared off by the big staff. All members who work on or contribute to the remake project will have the name they prefer in the game's credits. Alright! I f you have any questions about the projects, jobs, or want to sign up for a position, email me at gr8andepic1@gmail.com (don't spam me; It's a waste of time.) Let's make this remake a reality!
  5. So I'm thinking that each specialized region must have its own variety of classes. Like spear fighters among Sacaean nomads and Axe wielder among Illian Mercenaries. More classes that describe their region. In addition, if branched promotion will be added, it will be the most logical classes to the game. Sacaean myrmidons may promote to Nomadic troopers. Etc. What do you think?
  6. I know the west wants to play Roy. But I think the prequel will get adapted first. Why? Children mechanic. Well, they might get adapted simultaneously but AT LEAST the prequel gets the physical copy. One of the improvements I think is gonna happen is fixing continuity errors. Sacae will have unique set of weapons from the rest of the Lycia. MORGAN will be the tactician and will be PLAYABLE IN BOTH GAMES. This might be the first time we see a grown up Morgan. What improvements you want to see in the hypothetical remake?
  7. I can't be assed to find the old one which is very possibly 3+ years old now. I once made a tier list of the Genealogy skills, and naturally, my list-making self has decided to remake it. It's a simple enough list, as skills are much easier to judge than units for numerous reasons. Personal experience definitely comes less into play here as well. The ranking criteria are as follows: -Availability: How available this skill is to your units. Obviously the more common the skill, the more useful. This does not include the auto-critical tacked onto 50+ kill weapons (because then Critical could theoretically be the top of everything by virtue of reinforcement farming). Class/weapon skills are included in this tally. Also, it is taken into account which units possess these skills. For example, Ayra possessing Nihil is absolutely useless because she will never, ever be critted; whereas Alec's possession of Nihil is a little more useful because he can avoid Horseslayer crits. Same with, say, Wrath: Tiltyu and Tinny possessing Wrath is useless because they are extremely frail for a majority of the game, whereas Arthur is amazing with Wrath, especially if he is Lex or Levin's son. -Effect in Battle: How this skill benefits (or poses a drawback) to your units in battle affects its placement. Does it make your units kill enemies faster? Make them die less? Allow them to progress further? -Activation: How often does this skill activate? The more it activates, the better, naturally. -Adaptability: How easy is it for this skill to go from one generation to the next? This also includes how it benefits or hinders children characters. -Contributions to Efficiency Plays: We're not looking at absolute LTC here, but we're not turtling either. How does the skill help your units achieve their goals easier? Rings are also included in a skill's overall ranking. This, of course, affects very few skills, but it does affect the availability of the Ring skills. Another minor consideration is how well the skill works with other skills on units. For example, the almighty Ambush/Wrath combo makes both skills more useful when stacked, but not necessarily on their own. This is mostly looked at with skills like Charge and Continue which can be very dangerous when combined together or with Pursuit. UPDATE: Due to requests the tier list has been switched to two separate lists by Generation. Those are below. This is the original, and general, tier list, and will remain up for debate and reference. Pursuit Tier Pursuit High Tier Dance Elite High Middle Tier Prayer Steal Charisma Middle Tier Critical Continue Astra Charge Bargain Return Wrath Low Middle Tier Ambush Luna Low Tier Sol Nihil Life Bottom Tier Great Shield [spoiler=First Generation]Pursuit Tier Pursuit High Tier Dance Elite Return High Middle Tier Prayer Steal Charisma Middle Tier Continue Critical Charge Astra Bargain Low Middle Tier Wrath Luna Ambush Low Tier Sol Nihil Bottom Tier Life Great Shield [spoiler=Second Generation] Pursuit Tier Pursuit High Tier Dance Elite Charisma High Middle Tier Continue Critical Charge Middle Tier Prayer Astra Charge Steal Bargain Low Middle Tier Wrath Ambush Return Luna Low Tier Sol Life Bottom Tier Nihil Great Shield [spoiler=The Almighty ChangeLog]3/8/2015: -Bargain dropped to Middle Tier, position still debateable -Critical dropped to Middle Tier, maintains same position

  9. I was thinking, since they remade the first and third Fire Emblems, why not remake another? While maybe not the next game they should work on, if they were to remake one of them in the future which one would you choose?
