  1. Note: There are plenty of games I haven't played. Feel free to add your takes on those. This post will cover Blazing Blade, Awakening and Fates. And borders don't apply the same way they do in the real world. For instance, An Indian based nation could border a French based nation. Blazing Blade Sacae-Mongolia. The clothing style and nomad lifestyle that the Sacaen's use is reminiscent of old Mongolia. Bern- Russia. Bern is a war torn kingdom on the eastern skirts of Elibe. With it's cold temperatures to the north and the look of Bern characters, Russia is my pick. Pherae - Spain. Not super confident about this one but going loosely based on the general European atmosphere, climate and character names Spain is my choice. Ostia- France. Same reasoning as Pherae. Nabata - Holy land in a desert? Imma say Israel Awakening Halidom of Ylisse- Roman Empire. Ylisse seems to take some design from Latin based culture. Simple enough. Regna Ferox - Ancient Greece. While Khan is certainly a Mongolian term, the way Regna Ferox is split, the way it's set up led me to think that it's probably more like Sparta. Valmese Empire - This ones a mess. Chon'sin is clearly based off of Japan. Virion speaks with a Frence accent, and Cherche and Cervantes are French names. It's like a split between the French area and Japan. Plegia - Ancient Egypt. The Plegian architecture, clothes and landscape have strong ties to Ancient Egypt. The markings and sorcerer outfits especially. Fates Hoshido- Feudal Japan. Nohr - Germany with splashes of the UK and Scandinavia. While it also takes some pretty heavy Norse influences (Mijolnir, BiFrost, Bolverk, Brynhildr) I choose Germany as the ultimate winner partially due to Askr's existence. Askr is just a pile of Norwegian overload. While there can certainly be two nations based on the same country, Nohr has so much European influence that Germany ultimately stands out. The architecture is far closer to Germany than Norway. Castle Krakenburg and the village areas all could pass for Germany easily. Krakenburg is a German style name, though it is made up. Elise is named after the German song "Fur Elise," and Xander's sword "Siegfried," is named after a prince from a German myth. The Nohrian music doesn't sound German. The music seems more based on the UK. Dusk Falls practically shout UK and Dark Wastes has some solid hints of it. Crykensia- Turkey. The small city between Nohr and Hoshido is home to many dancers and a lively culture. We barely see Crykensia but its theme, architecture and notable features as a nation resmble Turkey. Valla- Sumerian Empire. Sumeria was an Ancient Empire based in Modern day Iraq. They were a highly advanced civilization that fell in around 1700 B.C. . Castle Gyges looks like the Ziggurats made by the Sumerians. The interior isn't as clear a comparison but it fits. Seems like a good fit. Hopefully this was laid out well enough and was an interesting read. I've always enjoyed looking at cultures in fiction and hope that others find this intriguing as well.
  2. What is the most efficient way to complete the support log in fe7? I’m just talking the set of 3 chapters that allows for the easiest support grinding, even if you can’t get every support then (For example, I know I’m gonna have to replay the final three chapters specifically a million times for Renault and Karla’s supports). Or other than that, those of you who have completed the support log, how did you do it? Thanks in advance!
  3. Greetings! My name is SavageJester and I have decided that I wanted to make a rom hack. I do have experience with FEBuilder but I would still call myself a fledgling hacker (A turn off for a lot of experienced hackers, I know). The rom hack necessarily won’t be a new game but rather an edit and adding new things to FE7; an expansion if you will. I also would like others to help give me a hand in the process too. This is also my first time doing a collab as well. I also posted this on FE Universe a s well. In this project, I plan on adding and changing new things such as balancing (Marcus and Karla for example) and editing units, fixing typos and bugs, and changing certain scenarios in the game. A major addition in this project will be a playable Mark (another turn off for a lot of people) with their own unique class. They would not have the game revolve around them but rather have a supporting role similar to a deuteragonist (akin to Kris and Robin). The character’s role and backstory as well as the other things mentioned before in the previous paragraph will be determined by the people in the collab. It will be something that everyone would agree and vote on. Every change and addition will be decided by the group and not by one person myself included. Those who are interested can fill out the form and will be assigned to different roles in the project such as script editing, map design, sprite animations, art, etc. They will then receive a discord invite via PM to a server dedicated to the collab. The invite will be determined by first come first serve and the role’s quota. Requirements would include having a basic understanding of rom hacking but not having to be an expert, experience with Sappy, Usenti, etc., being able to communicate, time aside to participate, and have played FE7 and beaten all routes (will make it easier to work with people who have experience with the game). Now I notice some people have other obligations such as jobs and school, so when the collab is in its initial phase, we will discuss schedules and deadlines that can work with everyone. For people who are wondering how this collab will work, we will discuss that in the discord as well. As I said before, this is my first time doing something like this. The deadline to apply is 1/22 and the project will begin on 1/23. Thank you for reading and I hope this project will come to fruition! I am eager to work with you all! P.S. I posted this under questions because I was not able to post this directly under Fan Projects
  4. Huge Priscilla fan here, and I was wondering a few things 1: I heard she was top tier in FE7, is this the case, and if so why? Did I get the wrong information about Priscilla, is she as bad as her heroes counterpart? 2: What do you think of Priscilla? Is she a favorite of yours? Do you hate her? Are you indifferent?
  5. So I just wanted to see everyone’s opinion, I’ve been playing through blazing blade and I was wondering if Lyn was really relevant besides her tutorial chapters? It's a shame if that is the case because I absolutely adore Lyndis as a character and wished she had been more important in the long run.
  6. To anyone who hasn't heard Lyn's new voice in the mobile game, it got leaked and I have a video of it. G
