I know that a lot of people are either saying that they are hoping that the children or any other character makes a return but I just can't get the idea of them returning out of my head, which is most likely because I loved their development (Mostly) and how truly awesome they are. You see, I can't get all these ideas of how they return out of my head, so I decided to just ask if they are plausible and to actually stop myself from continuing to fixate on the ideas. The first thought I had was that they return as reincarnations, and I know that Rhajat, Asugi and Caelodori were rather cringe-worthy but hear me out, as this idea would allow them to return without story inconvenience as it could easily keep to a vague fates story choice as it could e that as hey are returning home they are ambushed and killed by assassins, and when the odin reincarnation supports with selena's it can go that he keeps having nightmares of being ambushed by scary men and he remembers a red haired girl with him and her getting shot by an arrow and feeling despair and then it goes black. Then I realised that may not be very realistic as in Birthright Laslow dies so it could never be that he was with them. So if they did do a support similar to that it could never be with the laslow reincarnation, unless only it their deaths were from odins view, which in that case if laslow dies after odin it would mean he did not see his death, or of course odin reincarnination in the support says he remembers seeing an arrow going towards someone and jumping in their way. I also like his idea for the reason that they could make a shy laslow who was not told to flirt to get rid of his shyness plus who doesn't want more manhandling moments. Another thought I had was that after they were returning to ylisse, another being transported the three of them to a another new place, but the person says that it was a mistake that the trio was brought here it was supposed to be the children (Purposely Vague) and they being their noble selves take the childrens place thus entering in their 4th war. Also could you tell me if it is plausible or just a horrible idea and you don't want to see any more characters returning and I am being stupid

I'm planning another Conquest playthrough and I wanted to get all of the children, which is why I wanted to marry my Male Corrin to either Ophelia or Velouria, since I think it is generally agreed that Velouria and Ophelia are the best children for physical and magical combat respectively. Who do you think is better suited to be Kana's mother? I will select Asset and Flaw for Corrin depending on your answers! Thanks for your help!

As I'm sure most fans of Awakening know, the children's birthdays are set on dates of the Japanese release dates of older Fire Emblem games. Lucina's covers both the original Dark Dragon and the Sword of Light & Path of Radiance, due to them being released on the same day. But what if one of those games were released sooner or later than their current date? Would there have been another child here in Awakening? No doubt Lucina would keep DDatSoL's release, but who would've had PoR's? Would Flavia have given birth to a warrior child (and actually have an S rank with Basilio)? Would Say'ri have an heir to the Chon'sin throne? Would Anna have begotten another Anna? (I personally would like to see this one) Would Tiki have named her kid after Marth or Bantu? Or perhaps Emmeryn would have a child, since she's the only one in her family without a child other than Morgan? Maybe another male character would have a set child, like Frederick or Vaike? ...Or Henry or Walhart? Or perhaps they could've just given it to Morgan, who's birthday isn't based on a game release, but a Japanese holiday? Discus your headcanons!

Ok so I just beat Fire Emblem Fates Revelvations and was going to work on maxing out all my child units stats,I looked up online what each stat should look like maxed out and when I compared the stats from online to my game it doesn't seem to match up.For example,my Rhajat is lvl 27 and is a sorcerer with Hayato and Nyx as parents and her max magic is 42(her magic stat is green),but online it says her max magic is 60.I would really appreciate any help understanding what went wrong/what i need to do to get it to get max stats for my child chacters cause I searched around google for awhile and I am not finding the answers.(I found a guide on youtube about maxing the stats out for children units by class and parents and i tried that but still no luck) Also first post so sorry if I didnt word something right.

Heya, my good people of the Forest! You're probably tired of topics like this by now, but I have to butt in with another one. I'm currently playing Revelations for the second time (first time was for the story) and I'd like to make a save file dedicated to optimized (as much as possible) skills and pairings, so here's the question: Who should go with whom? I have a few ideas in mind, but if you could help me, it would be very much appreciated. Here we go! First things first, here's my Avatar: Male Corrin, +Skl, -HP, Talent: Spear Fighter (mainly for Rend Heaven, Quixotic or the two debuffs are also possible in the Final Build, which I haven't decided on yet) Pairings I have thought about: M!Corrin/Hana => I admit that this is mostly personal bias, since Hana is my favourite Fates character but it also has three gameplay reasons: 1) Rend Heaven on Hana. 2) Fast and skillful Kana with a solid mod spread. 3) Swordmaster access for Corrin. Selena/Hinata => fast and tanky Hisame with Sol and/or Shurikenbreaker. Subaki/Oboro => Great Lord Caeldori that looks like Lucina... because style, I guess. Alternatively Lancefaire on Falcon Knight Caeldori or Subaki/Nyx => strongest magical Caeldori, will most likely become a Dark Flier/Dark Falcon. Kaze/Kagero => Dread Fighter Midori with the highest possible strength and minimal stat penalties (only -1 in Luck and Defence, I think) and the ability to get Rend Heaven or Kaze/Mozu => The infamous Luck-Midori. Saizo/Beruka => semi-tanky Asugi with ridiculous skill mod and access to both Poison Strike and Savage Blow, same for Saizo or Saizo/Sakura => magically focused Asugi who will be the best user of the Fire Shuriken and/or Felicia's Plate outside of Felicia or a magically focused Dwyer. Hayato/Nyx => Rhajat with access to Vengeance/Bowbreaker/Malefic Aura (I think that's the name), alternatively Tomefaire on Nyx. or Hayato/Sakura => Rhajat with both Countermagic AND Counter. Xander/Effie => for extremely tanky Siegbert and Wary Fighter on Xander, because his speed tends to be shaky. or Xander/Charlotte => Sol access for Xander/Siegbert and good pair up mods from Berserker!Charlotte Silas/Hinoka => Sophie with no negative stat mods and access to Kinshi-Knight without Caeldori A+ Kaden/Mozu => salvaging Selkie's abysmal skill mod and access to Aptitude to cap stats faster. or Kaden/Setsuna => ridiculously fast Selkie, who will then be married to Hisame for access to Flowing Strike (I don't know the English name for this skill). Keaton/Rinkah => tanky Velouria with Counter and Death Blow, alternatively the same thing on Keaton. Rinkah with access to Sol without Charlotte A+ or Keaton/Azura => like Kaze/Mozu, the point is to bring Velourias crippling negative skill mods into a manageable level, same for Shigure's defence Odin/Elise => Dark mage acces for Elise. Highest possible magic (tied with Odin/Orochi and Odin/Nyx) for Ophelia Also pretty much the only S-support for Elise I can tolerate. or Odin/Felicia => no -2 defence mod and slightly better skill on Ophelia than Odin/Elise. or Odin/Orochi => Ophelia gets her highest skill mod from this pairing and it gives her access to Tomefaire without having to A+ Rhajat. Leo/Sakura => Tomefaire on Leo, Lifetaker/Vengeance on Sakura. or Leo/Beruka => Trample on Leo, tanky (?) Forrest. I haven't given the other ones much thought yet, or rather, I don't know what to do with them. The children that have priority to be "optimized" are the ones resulting from the above mentioned pairings. The pairings listed for Leo are more for Leo's benefit than Forrest's, to be honest. That would leave: Shiro Kiragi (he's one of three candidates I wouldn't mind missing out on, since you have Takumi, Setsuna and Mozu as solid options for Snipers.) Nina Soleil (the second of three candidates, since Selena is already a good enough mercenary) Dwyer Percy (the last of three candidates, since you have Beruka and Camilla as Wyvern Lords/Malig Knights.) Ignatius (I thought to make him as tanky as possible, maybe through Beruka or Camilla, but I'm not sure) I think I forgot someone, but I'm not too sure who... Another thing I wanted to say: A few weeks back, my posts on this forum have been very negative in nature, unfairly so in most cases. I wanted to sincerely apologize for that. I joined so that I could enjoy my favourite game franchise with you all and share my own and your enjoyment, not to be a negative prick and shooting down anyone's opinion and/or favourite Fates character as I did with most of the Royals. So I've read a lot of people saying that the 2nd generation could have been better implemented into the story by not not making them children, but independent characters. I wanted to start this thread to share ideas/headcanons for how they could have fit into the story. Percy and Midori could still be the offspring of Arthur and Kaze, as the age difference between them and their parents seems large enough to make this possible. I also think that Selkie could still be Kaden's daughter, because he could possibly be far older than he seems, as he is a mystical being. My headcanon for Caeldori is that she is Kumagera's daughter (or another high-ranking Hoshidan general). I got this idea because she admires her father in her support with the Avatar, and Kumagera is a pretty badass (in my opnion), so this would make sense. She than joins the army because she wants to help her country and her father in the war.

Okay I know I did a stupid thing but I couldn't resist. I married Felicia but afterwards I realised there just aren't enough females for the rest of the males, so I can't get all the children. I'll make another save file so I can get them all. ): I'm really confused on the rest of the marriages though. What should I do? I decided to ditch Silas' kid because I don't care much about him anyways. I'm. just. so. freaking. confused. Here's what I'm thinking: Kaze/Sakura (already done) Takumi/Azura Saizo/Kagero Ryoma/Orochi Rinkah/Azama (cause I don't care about them) Hayato/Mozu Kaden/Hinoka Hinata/Oboro Subaki/Setsuna Jakob/ ??? what? there aren't enough??? Sigh. Next time I'll marry Caeldori cause she'll always be best girl.

Hey, everyone! DragonFlames here with another possibly stupid question! I just finished playing through Birthright and am now planning on doing a no-grind (no Boo Camp) Conquest run and I just wanted to know if the child characters on this route are worth gunning for or if I can make do with the units you get during the main game. I ask this because in my Birthright run, even with grinding, the only children I ever used were Selkie, Kana and sometimes Midori and/or Sophie. I did get everyone (except for Hayato's kid, because **** that little brat), but I didn't bother with them after promoting them once, because I found the characters I already had were better at that point. Another question, relating to this one is this: I heard quite a few times that Velouria is a god-like unit and also a child character. If I want to get her, who would you suggest to be her mother to ensure the best Velouria? Thanks in advance!

I'm not used to pairing up characters to have children, so I need some help. I want the children be at their full potential. I already pair my avatar with Scarlet and Kaze with Azura. Help?

sorry im relatively new to fire emblem, my first game was awakening. but my setsuna's only a level 12 archer right now and saizos only level 15 and still just a ninja. should i use a master seal on them both then marry them? or have one or both of them use a heart seal to get different skills to pass down?? also are there any skills i really should give to asugi? or maybe he should have a different mother?

Hey guys and gals! With the new Fire Emblem comes the new wave of pairing threads, so I guess I'm gonna contribute to that. I'm looking for some advice for my Conquest playthrough. I made my Female Avatar a +Mag -Lck. I'm leaning towards having her end up as a Sorcerer or Onmyoji (suggestions for that as well?) and I really don't know who to pair her with. I took Diviner as her second class because of the access to Mag+2/Future Sight for early game and for Tomefaire, and because Rend Heaven is just so fantastic to pass to everyone. I want to optimise this run but I'm not so comfortable with Nohr children yet, since this is my first playthrough with Nohr. I don't mind the pairing to not be the absolute best because I'm only on hard mode. I'm thinking of a few potential husbands and need help with choosing: Leo: I guess that would make two great children, but I really don't want to pair her up with her brother, even if not related by blood, just seems too weird to me... Alright enough sentimentality, I'll do it if I must, but it just doesn't feel right to me :P (remember Owain x Lucina?). Odin: God this guy is just so epic. Always been a fan of Owain. Anyway, I guess he could make a good father for a mixed Nohr Noble Kana and his good skill stat benefits having skills like Dragon Fang/Rend Heaven. Like Leo, not a lot of class diversity. Forrest: Kana would just be so damn great with Forrest as a father, but I don't really know if it's better to have two awesome children or one godlike unit. I'm really open to suggestions for other potential husbands, as well as for ending classes/skills for the children. Thanks for the help! TorterraX

So, I once saw a thread in the awakening sections where people made child characters for the men, and I thought to myself "Hey, wouldn't that be interesting for the Females in Fates?" And so this thread came to be. If anyone has an idea for a child that a female unit might have, this would be the place to put your ideas down. It doesn't matter if you just have a name and a general rundown or an entire paralogue and supports mapped out, it's all good. Also doing child units for male Corrinsexuals would work, too. Anyway, this is my idea for Scarlet's child, sterling: [spoiler=Sterling]He's the son of Scarlet and a Wyvern rider with high magic (as if he's intended to be a Malig Knight). His appearance is like He has a tendency to hold grudges, but otherwise is friendly and willing to help anyone. Likes shiny things, but not as much as his mother. His paralogue would be about him going to avenge the assassination of his friend, and naturally Scarlet and Corrin go chasing after him. His supports would be with Scarlet, RyomaHis Father, Corrin, All the Second Gen Hoshido females (like every other character), Shiro and Dwyer, and for Revelation, Nina, Ophelia and Percy. His logbook entry would be like this: The son of Scarlet and an expert wyvern tamer. He cares about friends, but holds grudges very easily. he is not very fond of people being sneaky. Has the sturdiest bones in the army. Born on 7/19. I might put more stuff down if I ever think of it. Also, his name is like sterling silver, and silver is a color as well as a metal, and his mother's name is a color, so that's how I picked that. This is surprisingly fun!

...Let's just assume every topic here in the Fate's sub-forum has spoilers, huh? Anyway, children's paralogues are supposed to appear after two units reach a S-Rank support, right? Well, Kaze and Rinkah have been "S-Ranked" for a while now, but Midori's chapter is not showing up. Is it a story based event or did I miss something?

I have a brief question pertaining to Dragon Vein: So say, hypothetically, I pair Niles to Azura. This would yield me Nina and Shigure as children. Now, given that Azura, as a royal, can use Dragon Vein, it makes sense that Shigure, being her son regardless of parental choice, could as well. However, Nina's mother can be either royal or non-royal; yet, in this case, her mother is a royal, which would give Nina royal blood. In this hypothetical, could Nina also use Dragon Vein?

So I've unlocked most of the paralogues for the kids and I've got a couple questions 1. is it best to just do all the paralogues near the end of the game so that the child seal is more effective 2. are there any particularly hard or easy paralogues 3. is there a particular worth in doing certain paralogues first (i.e this kid will be gr8 no matter what or the loot on the map is useful) sorry if this is already a thread

Some of you may have played the game already and went into some paralogues. Based on your observation, which canon does each child comes from? Birthright; or Conquest? or maybe fit with any canon

Does anyone have any links to the child paralogues in Fates, I live in Europe and really want to see what some of the localisation is like in these chapters.

So I was thinking earlier, what if children were a feature in other Fire Emblem games and then Sacred Stones came to mind. So, this thread is what you guys think the kids of a certain pairing will be. You can list their personality, class and any other cool things about them.

How do I get Nina? Do I have to do something special? Do I have to fight her? I ask because the objective's meaning eludes me. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

I thought we could take a brake worrying and speculating about exactly how children will work and have a positive thread. I know we don't know a lot about units, but I'm sure many people here have thought "if marriage is in this game I'm definitely marrying my avatar to this character!" For me. of the revealed characters: Hoshido as a Male avatar: Kazahana. Been my favorite female unit since I first saw her and if by any chance personal skills can be passed down, hers is a good one Hoshido as female avatar: Silas. None of the revealed males appeal to me on this route, plus I like Silas design and hair color. Nohr as male avatar: Felicia. Even though I think I'll love Pieri, not sure I want to spread on her bi-polar genes. So give me the clumsy, battle ready, moe maid. Belka's also an option with her having a good personal skill. Nohr as female avatar: Odin. Owain's one of my favorite FE units ever so this was an easy decision....
