Does Alear Have a Dragon Form?
vanguard333 posted a topic in Fire Emblem: EngageI have yet to play Engage, and I probably won't be playing it for some time due to various reasons (university, monster hunter rise, etc.). When Engage was announced and it was made clear that the protagonist, Alear, is a divine dragon, my one hope was that this game would better utilize the protagonist being a dragon than Fates did with Corrin, where Corrin being a dragon was relevant for all of one story chapter and the dragon transformation was fairly barebones in terms of gameplay. Without any spoilers other than the answer to the question, I simply ask: does Alear have a dragon form in Engage? If so, is it part of the gameplay?
How powerful is Alear, story-wise?

Manakete Original Character!Since some people enjoyed my last little post I made I figured I'd post some more stuff I have :)! I'm not exactly sure if sharing strictly original character content here is allowed (and if it isn't I'll delete the thread) but I wanted to share my little lass Iko just for fun! If this does nicely I may post more things relating to my original FE story, I'd also love feedback and ideas! Her story takes place during the events of Binding Blade Iko is a young half-manakete who fled the Nabata Desert in fear of the increasing threats from Bern. She escapes to different country where my story takes place but its still in progress so I don't have much story aside from that. Now time for her design origins and powers! Even though these kind of dragons don't exist in canon I thought it'd be interesting for her to be powered by the moon or have some sort of affiliation with it, it also explains why she has a similar appearance to a bat. Shes half-manakete so she ages normally (shes probably around 14-15) Here are some of my favorite drawings I've done of her (Yes that is my icon on the right :)!) I honestly just really wanted to share her because she is one of my favorite characters I own and I hope you all enjoy ^^
awakening dragon "links" in Three Houses
Emblemier Ben posted a topic in Fire Emblem: Three HousesThese are notes I have made that might link this game to Evil dragon. Spoilers for Awakening and Echoes Endgame. This is what I gathered so far. (not too much) Evil man with white hair (magic one) might be Forneus maybe. Or better yet, Byleth with that "hidden power?" Here is something interesting I noticed: The symbol looks "somewhat" similar but what strikes me is that the evil man symbol has 6 lines around a center point like the Grimleal symbol possibly hinting that this is grima with his eyes closed (to show he is not born). Maybe this "religion" are working for old man/Byleth to begin the creation of Grima maybe to gather dragon blood. (this is not explained) I had a horrible idea that probably won't happen but what if Sothis is killed for dragon blood? Really this is just me coming up with a theory for this symbol that we know nothing about. Also the Valentian Endgame wasn't long ago so maybe they planned to have this connected? P.S. Probably just a coincidence but just wanted to point out some "links" . Had some other points but felt like they weren't worth talking about. Just something while I desperately wait for release.

With a weapon refinement, she gains the ability to target the weaker defense stat of 2-range enemies, an absolute score given her low Atk stat. As a blue breath user, Corrin finds herself at the mercy of Julia and Deirdre's dragon-effective Naga. Additionally, her low Res makes it difficult for her to duel magical units in general. She takes effective damage from Falchion, but this is less of an issue due to Corrin's triangle advantage and high Def. She also has a very low Atk stat (the second lowest of the breath users, at the time of writing), though breath upgrades mitigate this somewhat. Kurthnaga Character Analysis
Icelerate posted a topic in Fire Emblem: Radiant DawnWelcome to my third character analysis! I've already done a Tauroneo and Micaiah character analysis and this time we'll be taking a look at Kurthnaga, who is easily my favourite dragon in the series, bar none and my third favourite character in all of Fire Emblem! Path of Radiance When Ike's ship crashes to the Goldoan shore, he gets out and angers a bunch of dragons. The dragons are about to kill him but fortunately, Kurthnaga, prince of the dragon tribes, stops them and promises to help move the ship. This shows Kurthnaga's empathetic nature. Also, Ike talked to Kurthnaga as if he were a simple commoner which shocked him but due to his humbleness it was of no problem to him. Also, we see that Kurthnaga is very much into diplomacy as he promises to convince his father to reprimand Kilvas. Kurthnaga also provided Ike with supplies on top of freeing his ship which shows his generosity. Furthermore, Kurthnaga would like to offer a whole feast but he can't because his father prefers isolation. This shows us that Kurthnaga's character conflict is respecting his father's decree VS his own generous nature. Basically he has to strike a balance which he does in this scene. Kurthnaga's complaints were brought forward by his father in the Laguz Royals meeting which shows just how much clout Kurthnaga has as this is a very important meeting and influences the geopolitics of Tellius. Also, Kurthnaga had a profound impact on Ike's character development in Path of Radiance as seeing his courtesy convinced Ike that the Goldoan Dragons are honorable but was conflicted how both dragons and the bird tribes be both laguz because before meeting these two tribes, Ike had only known the Gallian beast tribes so he naively assumed all Laguz are good. Basically Ike's perspective on good vs evil evolves after his meeting with Kurthnaga and realizes he can't equate the actions of a few with an entire species. Radiant Dawn Part 1 Kurthnaga comes to Daein to meet up with Almedha, his long lost sister but ends up getting captured by the Begnion occupation forces. While in prison, he once again shows us his empathetic nature by giving olvi grass to stop Micaiah's bleeding. So basically in his first appearance in both games, he has the honour of helping out the protagonist when they are in a bind. Also Aimee points out that Kurthnaga is a quiet person which confirms he's very introverted, much like Micaiah. It's no question why I like both these characters when they share many similarities. The game basically hammers the similarities between them even further in a base conversation. Kurthnaga has secrets, desires privacy, is kind/gentle and loves to feel the wind. Hmm I wonder who else is like that. Anyway this base conversation reveals to us that Kurthnaga loves nature and is very inquisitive when it comes to making observations. He'd make a great explorer or even a scientist. Finally we see that Kurthaga wanted to communicate with Almedha hence he gives her a sending stone. After seeing so many similarities between Kurthnaga and Micaiah, we finally see that the two have differing worldviews. Kurthnaga uses quotation marks to describe the liberation army which goes to show he does not believe in the use of force as a valid means of liberating a country. From this conversation it is quite clear that Kurthnaga is a pacifist and influenced by the teachings of Deghinsea. While similar in temperament, it makes sense why their political views are so different, Micaiah is raised up in a militaristic country so despite her gentle nature, it makes sense that she's no pacifist. Also, this base conversation showcases his intelligent and shrewd mind. He managed to predict what Micaiah was about to say before she even said it and read her feelings like a book. Kurthnaga may not have the mind reading abilities that Micaiah has but his sharpness allows him to do just that. Despite not approving of Micaiah's actions, he gives her the renewal scroll showing us how compassionate he is. Once again we see Kurthnaga balancing his pacifist mindset with his empathetic mindset. Also this base conversation is proof that Micaiah is not a Mary Sue, not even in part one. Mary Sues make other characters act out of character just to make the Mary Sue look good. If Micaiah were a true Mary Sue, Kurthnaga would have changed his beliefs on the spot and supported Micaiah with zero hesitation which wouldn't have been difficult to write considering how similar the two are and the fact Kurthnaga sees Begnion's oppression first hand. Finally, we see that Kurthnaga's character flaw is that he gets scared near a battlefield. I can relate to that as someone who is living in a land without war and can get frightened if I'm too close to fireworks, let alone an explosion. Part 3 Almedha messages Kurthnaga and asks him to save his son. Kurthnaga now has to make a difficult choice much like Rajaion did long ago. He shows that he can be very deceptive considering his explanation for being out late in the night makes sense given that he loves to look at nature and he didn't lie either because he was also doing that in the cutscene. When the Daein army has pretty much collapsed, Kurthnaga shows up in the moment of truth and makes a pretty badass entrance showing us the power of the Goldoan dragons and why their power is feared. His power was so immense that the entire Laguz Alliance is forced to fall back. There are plenty of powerful dragons in the series but other than Deghinsea and the dragon gods, Kurthnaga might be the most powerful because while armies lead by various lords like Marth and Roy have fought plenty of dragons, none of their armies were forced to fall back at the sight of just one dragon and I reckon Ike's army is a lot stronger. Just look at Tibarn, an extremely brave and powerful guy who went toe to toe with Zelgius, yet even he started freaking out at the sight of Kurthnaga and we all know how powerful Zelgius is. Being able to casually destroy a massive fortress is no small feat because defensive buildings take a lot of time to construct and are very valuable for defensive warfare and a pain to lay siege to but if you have Kurthnaga on your side, he can just casually wipe out a fortress that was able to fit 10000 soldiers. That's totally broken. Seriously, who needs a lot of military equipment, strategies/tactics, charisma, dedication and time when you can just wipe out armies and their infrastructure with ease? Also, Kurthnaga's entrance hypes up Deghinsea because unlike his son, Deghinsea is a lot older, bigger and has actual combat experience so when you confront him in the endgame, the player can feel the dread of having to fight none other than the legendary King of Dragons. Kurthnaga's initial intentions with the use of force was to stop the fighting so that the two sides can have a ceasefire followed by peace talks. So we see that Kurthnaga is sticking to Deghinsea's pacifist ideals but unlike his father, Kurthnaga is now starting to embrace the use of force for the greater good. Basically we see Kurthnaga's beliefs evolve from someone who didn't believe in the use of force at all to someone who believes it can be justified when it can stop additional bloodshed. When Micaiah spills the beans to Kurthnaga, she requests Almedha to give more information on the blood pact but if Pelleas dies Almedha refuses to do so as she's depressed. Kurthnaga shows us his charisma by convincing the sullen and stubborn Almedha to stop keeping secrets and to calm down. Once again Kurthnaga shows us his intelligence when he figures out that Pelleas doesn't have to die to break the blood pact and instead they can track down the Senator instead because it takes two people to make a contract. Anyhow from this point on, Kurthnaga is no longer the peaceful arbitrator we once knew him as. He has decided to fight on Daein's side for the sake of his sister and nephew. His meeting with Almedha ended up developing both their characters because Kurthnaga is no longer the pacifist that we once knew and Almedha has become an apologetic individual even though before she was quite proud and arrogant. The Daein army no longer has the defensive positions of castle Nox and even with those, they were hopelessly outmatched but with Kurtnaga and Nailah supporting the Daein army, the Daein army can still fight on even when Micaiah leaves the battlefield which goes to show just how powerful Kurthnaga is which is further compounded by the fact that Nailah, the other powerhouse keeping Daein afloat, hypes him up without bringing up her own power level. Nailah, like Tibarn, is pretty cocky, so it goes to show that Kurthnaga was more essential to the Daein Army's survival than Nailah herself. Despite Kurthnaga's resolve, his nonviolent nature still shows on the battlefield where he shows a lot of hesitation and is clearly an emotional train-wreck but despite that, his power keeps the Daein Army from collapsing. Part 4 Despite not having any experience with how armies function, Kurthnaga was thoughtful enough to suggest giving the sending stones to the herons so that all three armies can communicate. After going through the ordeal of fighting a battle, Kurthnaga is traumatized and unable to participate in the next two battles. As a matter of fact, he's so scared of blood that he can't talk to Ike until he puts down his bloodied sword. So while Kurthnaga makes an effort to become braver in part three, it resulted in him becoming even more frightened. In Kurthnaga's conversation with Ike, we learn that he's interested in reading books which makes sense because he's very intelligent and a deep thinker. Finally, we see some more development from Kurthnaga when he feels better after the conversation with Ike. Kurthnaga is quite the secretive introvert but he finally realizes that talking to people about his own problems is better than leaving them concealed. Endgame Kurthnaga has to come to terms with the fact he'll be fighting his own father and the rest of his tribe even though before endgame he was too frightened to even be near a battle. He has once again gained the resolve he temporarily gained at the end of part three but this time it is permanent and far greater than before. Meanwhile, he also learns more about his father and ends up respecting him even more which makes it even more painful to confront his father but commits himself regardless. Also, unlike Sanaki, who wasn't able to accept that Sephiran was on Ashera's side until he revealed his plans, Kurthnaga doesn't try to make excuses about his father and interrogates Nasir about why his father has joined Ashera even before Nasir reveals to him the purpose of his visit. This goes to show he isn't naive and can see the unfortunate reality with clarity without emotions clouding his judgement. He can put the pieces together by himself without it having to be spelled out. Granted, Kurthnaga hoped that his father could be talked out of fighting on Ashera's side but his hope wasn't inherently wrong because after being defeated in the fight, Deghinsea ended up agreeing that Ashera must be stopped. Deghinsea was just being stubborn and his defeat humbled him enough to listen to reason. Kurthnaga is willing to accept punishment for his actions in part 3 which goes to show his selflessness as well as regret for breaking Goldoa's neutrality. Yet of course, he can't allow the innocent to get punished for the crimes of a few. After being made king of the dragon tribes and after a history lesson by Gareth and Nasir, Kurthnaga becomes firm in his convictions and has no regrets at this point. He has also increased in his respect for his father despite seeing the flaws in his father's line of thinking. Furthermore, this base conversation once again shows us that Kurthnaga is good at second guessing what someone will say before they even say it. This is intellectually very impressive considering how this is the first time he's listening to this history lesson and how convoluted and hard to accept this story is. To this day I have a hard time wrapping around my head at the lore this game throws at you let alone being able to make sudden deductions the first time reading the script. In a talk conversation between Kurthnaga and Lehran, we learn that Kurthnaga was always fond of him even as an infant. An interesting observation I was able to pick up was that Kurthnaga's political ideology is a mixture of Lehran and Deghinsea. Basically Lehran is an internationalist and Deghinsea is an isolationist. Kurthnaga's actions throughout PoR and RD put him somewhere in the middle which makes me think that Kurthnaga was also influenced by Lehran in his infancy. Lastly, note that Ashera hypes Kurthnaga for being the strongest non divine being alive. This means Kurthnaga is stronger than Ike. Take that Ike fans. Epilogue Being true to his character, his ending has him maintain peace and arbitrate conflict. Quite a fitting end which stays true to both his character while respecting his father's legacy.
[FE11] Way to Give Stat Bonuses to Weapons?
FionordeQuester posted a topic in QuestionsI'm using Nightmare to hack Shadow Dragon; but it doesn't seem as though there's an option to give stuff like the Falchion stat bonuses like what most other games do with their divine weapons. Does anyone know of a way to do this, or...is that feature just not in Shadow Dragon? Thanks for your time, and God bless you.
Greatest Dragon Emperor in FE
vanguard333 posted a topic in General Fire EmblemFire Emblem has had plenty of evil emperors across the entire series, and plenty of main villains that were dragons. But, there have only been two evil emperors that were dragons: Medeus, and Loptyr. Of these two, who would you say was the greater dragon emperor, and why? Who had the greater empire? Who was better at ruling said empire? etc.

Dragon Quest VIII 3DS
Konnor97 posted a topic in General GamingSo I didn't see any recent topics about this, so I figure this is as a good time as any for this. There's been a new trailer for this remake/port/whatever, and it finally confirms the release date: 1.20.2017. Now, I've never played the original, and only a little bit of the recent DQVII remake/port/whatever, but I've heard good things about this.
Who is your favorite playable dragon?
asdfasdfasdf posted a topic in General Fire EmblemWho is your favorite playable dragon? Personally my favorite playable dragon is Myrrh do to Sacred Stones being the very first Fire Emblem I played. Also I know Corrin is technically a dragon, but Corrin isn't a full-blooded dragon so I didn't include Corrin in the list.
Shining Force RoDD (GBA)- The First Draft!
Refa posted a topic in Other Game DraftsThe first Shining Force is one of my favorite games ever, so it's kind of a surprise that I didn't play this remake until very recently (like, a day or two ago). But it really did seem perfect for drafting, and I personally really want to do something like this myself, so...here you find me, making this draft. With some rules, no less! EDIT THE DIFFICULTY IS DEFAULT (NORMAL) AKA WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU START A NEW GAME ON A NEW CARTRIDGE (SO NO CHAPTER 1 BANNED MAWLOCK) 1. This draft is for 4 players, who will each draft 7 units in standard snake style format (no last round reverse going on here). 2. Since they can be undeployed immediately, unless there are any exceptions of units forced into a chapter (besides Max, Narsha, Zuika, and Mawlock), there is a 4 turn penalty for each undrafted unit who is deployed, per battle. 3. Max (main character), Lowe (healing chump), Hans (backup combat chump), & Narsha (to make her gaidens worth it for everyone, also requisite non chump/MC) are free. 4. Mawlock is banned, except for the epilogue chapters. Sorry, he's just too much of a game-changer, and I'd prefer not to have him for this draft. 4. You may use Egress to grind during battles, however turns taken in this period will still be added to your total turncount....So kind of a bit counterproductive. 5. On a similar note, if Max dies (and you opt not to reset), the turns will still be added...so yeah, save a lot? 6. However, you may Egress/retreat as long as no Attacks have been made for that battle (for either side) with no penalty...if you actually clear a map while doing this, 20 turn penalty, JERK! 7. The epilogue chapters will be free for up to 20 turns. 8. If there's anything about the rules that needs fixing, feel free to drop a comment on the thread, even if you're not in the draft. Teams 1. Refa- Luke, Zylo, Gong, Arthur, Pelle, Bleu, Jogurt 2. Ice Sage- Gort, Hanzou, Mae, Anri, Zuika, Alef, Lyle 3. BBM- Earnest, Domingo, Kokichi, Amon, Khris, Musashi, Adam 4. SRC- Tao, Balbaroy, Vankar, Ken, Diane, Guntz, Torasu Units List
Hold on, are wyverns actually dragons?
Captain Karnage posted a topic in General Fire EmblemHello every one, I'm getting confused in the lore of the series regarding wyverns. Now from my knowledge of the series aren't dragons trying to take over the world or are extinct in certain sagas. Then how can these wyverns exist, they have almost all of the qualities of dragons but still exist while their brethren are gone. Also are they related to the manakete and dragon laguz personally i believe all of the games take place on the same planet (which is probably my source of confusion) (btw I'm new to the forums so forgive any of my mistakes)
Fire Emblem: Mysterious Orb
SFtMK404suxs posted a topic in ConceptsGreetings my fellow brethrens, my name is Santouryu3. I’ll keep my sanity intact, and say Ko… Stupid dreaded blue screen of death! My computer crashed, and I’ve lost all the work when I was typing everything out discussing and explaining my brainstorming… It’s like someone’s preventing me from making this project a dream come true… So if you aren't aware of my skills, I don't have any hacking experience or have an artistic genes in me. I'm basically a creative writer with creative thoughts and ideas. I just give characters a punchline with something out witty to say just to read out some of the irony quotes based on my knowledge I already got on me. This is going to be like Blizzard Entertainment’s Starcraft 2 races being butchered and cut off into separate race expansions…, which by the way I hate them. So there’s going to be like three main characters with their own side story based on where they're going at. So any who, I had a dream where the entire Jugdral Continent was overrun by WALKERS I mean zombies. It’s bad enough that there’s a drought after the Holy War ended alongside Leaf finally liberated his homeland and unified. So what’s next? Exactly how all of this caused by? Plagued? Its obvious that rats were involved, and they were the cause by plague, so I assumed it was a biological weapon made by a mad scientist who had a leading command and probably had a chat with King Leaf about food shortage and the current drought going on for the past year. The reason is because someone knew the realistic sight of the population growth would be an issue in the future alongside with the drought being another cause to the entire continent to go through havoc anarchy of starvation. Luckily, the Grandmaster Warlock who has the ability to call down heavy rain allowing the crops to get the water they need in their roots. A rain maker giving the children a wet dream by running and screaming for rain to arrive. At this point on, I’m not going to spoil your crops and show how all of this began, but this is a good starting point on how everything went down under. Rumors spread of the GM Warlock calling down heavy rain while crops get the nutrition they need from their soil. Hopefully this project won't soil down into my toilet, so I'll be more happily to spoil the story of this project by doing a writing later on today when I have time that is. I’m also going to use the characters from the game called Battle Realms because a couple of antagonist characters didn’t perish from the horde of hordelings alongside, I’m gonna add C.C. and the nun from Code Geass where they made a pact during the time when the antagonist/protagonist arrived and met them. The reason is because he’s going to obtain a Geass ability. Furthermore, the entire story will be made up by me, so all the characters will have their own personalities. Besides, I wanna make it as dark and evil as possible for the antagonist/protagonist. He’s going through tough changes and decisions based on his moral conscious or Yin or Yang. Did I mention that he’s an atheist? That blew me off right there. He'll have bad and sad endings based on his own selfish goals by either having a choice to do the right way or the wrong way by brutally murdering his so called friends because who wants to be an evil Sith Lord who has nothing to lose or to gain. The protagonists saw this coming by the way, so they knew they had this coming their way just like the Zerg/Serpent player who wants a dark ending. Also, did I fail to mention that Serpent Kenji is by far ten times worse than Shagaal. Just saying. Furthermore, there will be three main characters. Two of which are protagonists, and the other one is an antagonist/protagonist. The antagonist/protagonist’s side story is going to have firearms such as the BADASS blunderbuss along with flintlock pistol, musket rifles, cannoneers, and mortars. How will they stand against their foe’s advanced technology? Are they gonna use the forbidden tomes during the Holy War such as Meteor Tomes and etc? Either way, humanity will decide their fate. Also, this will be a fan fiction made by me, so you probably already knew that by now? HONOR & PRIDE, TRUTH & HIDDEN SECRETS, & lastly GUILT & ATONEMENT for the SINS. Title: Fire Emblem: Mysterious Orb Base: FE7 (If there’s a zombie mod) or FE8 Plot: Since this is going to be Raymond Soto’s side story aka MK404, I might as well make this project a Fire Emblem tradition of him. Kinda like Leon S Kennedy’s side story in Resident Evil 6… I hope Crapcom goes bankrupted... :\ He’s nothing more than an arrogant, prideful mediocre leader led by his mentor Captain Brenner. This seems weird that he named his group name Marimo Camo even though his sister wanted to name it Nuptup aka Vileplume from Projared Pokemon nickname. So basically, he’s a wannabe leader just idolizing his mentor by filling in his shoes once he mastered leadership. Geez, I idolize Lelouch because he’s hundred times better than Brenner. Despite, his sadistic taste for power, corruption, and ruining more lives under his oppression, I still love him as a saint. Moving on, his entire group was hired by Safy to find the Duchess of Tahra and rescue her from the renegade bandits. Ever since he first met Linoan back when the oppression was going on, he has the obsession to find his former friend named Viet and kill him for bringing forth brigands to pillage his homeland and hearing the echoing screams of innocents being slaughtered by a pack of hungry wolves. One of the bandits told him that his friend led them into a hen house full of goods to be hauled out. He vowed to seek vengeance on him and avenged his parents’, friends’, and innocents’ deaths by giving them justice for what they deserve. Raymond's theme music will be Hope Never Dies. Linoan's theme music, I guess I'll use Dragon/Wolf Clan's theme music. Lastly, Viet's theme music will be from Code Lyoko theme based on XANA William if fighting against him. Along with that train wreck, he'll be also having the Serpent and Brood War Zerg theme musics with Irony of Fate DC as the battle theme. Oh, Mobile Suit Gundam Blood of Zeon Gihren's Greed music as well. Tell me what you think? ^~^ P.S. I'm sad to say this, but I don't think this will ever truly come out TRUE just because MK404 blocked me to every source known to website, and he has no interest whatsoever in this project. Either he's selfish, egotistic, and arrogant, or he's a jerk just like Harry Joyner from iCarly where even snobs like to rub someone's face with his butt.
Dragon Ball Z Battle of Z!
Ice Sage posted a topic in General GamingSo the Demo of the new Dragon Ball Z game is out. has anybody else tried it out? what are your thoughts? I find the game really fun. My friend and I had a blast with the co-op story and 4 vs 4 Online battle mode. The only thing I didn't like was how fast you can get tired in this game and then you can't move for a good 10 seconds other then that everything else is pretty cool~
