  1. Hey-oh everyone, this is Blue Sun on the air with you all. This next story series is something I’ve been working on for the past few months, and I’m proud to say that I’m finally ready to publish it. Bear in mind that with all adaptations that I make there will be some changes here and there to not make the story feel like a strict novelization, but I will not make the adaptation extremely unrecognizable from the source material. I have a major shout-out to all the people I've talked with here (especially Taka-kun and Luankachu) and my good friend Hank, all of whom provided welcomed feedback and walked with me get it to where it is now. The new discussion thread for this story is over here:http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=57554. Other than that, thank you everybody who's supported me so much, and without further ado here’s the disclaimer for this story. The following is nonprofit fan-based fiction. Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light through Fire Emblem Fates are all owned by Nintendo Co., Ltd. Please support the official releases. WARNING: this fiction in its entirety contains material that is not suitable for work. If you are under the legal age of adulthood or if your location forbids the viewing of explicit media, then this is the part where you should be leaving. If none of that applies to you and you are all set to read, then I hope you enjoy this. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 0: When White and Dark Clash Part 1 An unconscious figure was completely surrounded by pure darkness. Where were they? Maybe they were outside; where they laid felt soft and solid like earth, and blades of grass tickled their soles. Were they dead? It didn’t seem so; they felt winded but they didn’t feel out of the ordinary. “Hey…wake up…” a nearby voice said. It was soothing yet urgent, and it was very familiar. “Please, wake up…we need you out here…” What was happening? Whatever it was it sounded important judging the tone of the speaker’s voice. The figure’s eyes slowly opened and the first thing they saw was a worried young woman with bright hair staring down at them. Beside her was a teenaged boy and a very young girl who shared the woman’s expression. The figure’s memory was foggy but it all started to come back to them. Hoshido Side Theme – Map E2R “H-Hinoka?” the awakened figure spoke. “Are you okay Kamui?” the woman asked as she ran a hand through the figure’s head looking for anything abnormal. After several seconds passed she sighed in relief and managed to smile. “Thank the Divine Dragon above that you’re fine.” “This is Kamui we’re talking about sis,” the teenage boy said. “Nothing gets him down for long.” “I know that Takumi but I still can’t help fretting over him when he’s hurt.” “Afraid that you’ll lose him like our parents and our other sister? Like I’ve said he’s tough to take out. And besides, if he was ever in serious trouble I’d be dead before that happened. Look who’s still here.” “Um, Hinoka, Takumi?” the young girl spoke. “Shouldn’t we…” “Oh, of course Sakura,” Hinoka said getting back on track. “Now Kamui, this is probably going to scare you but we’re right out in the fields battling the Nohrian army.” “The Nohrian army?” Kamui asked. “Wait, you don’t mean that—” “Yes: we’re at war with our western neighbor, the Kingdom of Nohr. Prince Xander is leading the army and invading our home ,and we need you in good condition to help us drive them back. This will be your first…no, this will be your second real fight, and just like with the Faceless I have to ask you to not hold back against our enemies.” “I…Does that mean I have to—” “Yes,” Takumi said. “You’re going to have to kill some people here. It’s not going to be like how you’ve killed Faceless or how you went full-on oni on the Nohrians as a dragon before. You’re going to be killing living people.” “Oh, okay…I never thought we’d end up fighting a war so soon. I—wait a minute, where’s Suzukaze and Felicia?” “They’re recovering back home. They have orders to come straight here once they recover enough to fight.” “That’s good. We’ll need all the help we can get. By the way Hinoka, how does everything looking so far?” “We have the advantage in that this is our territory, and we’re all very familiar with it aside of yourself.” Hinoka answered. “On the other hand we’re not truly prepared for invasions; we’re a defense force trained to defend our kingdom from brigands within it. If left unchecked Nohr’s army will trample over us in every sense of the word.” “My Wind God Yumi can pick off some troops from a distance,” Takumi said, “but if they start getting up close and personal them I’m very much screwed.” “And Sakura is not ready for combat just yet.” Sakura didn’t like being reminded of that fact but she only gave a meek nod in response. “We’re not doing so well are we?” Kamui asked. “I’m not really sure myself. With all of that being said here’s a silver katana, a short sword, a flying dagger, and a mist-blade for you to use. Aqua gave us this ‘dragonstone’ for you before she left, but I’m not sure if you should be using it so soon.” “Hold on a second, if Prince Xander is here, then wouldn’t that also mean that…” Kamui trailed off, turning blue in the face after a scary thought came to him. “…Hinoka? On a scale of one to ten, how ready are we to take on revenant knights and dark knights?” “Together or separate—” “And a Nohrian princess who can transform into a dragon?” “……Together or separately?” “Together.” “……Two out of ten.” “Yikes. Well thanks for the heads up; now we know who to avoid out here.” “I’d say we have a fifty-fifty chance against them,” Takumi said. “Sure, they may be more experienced than us, but if we use our heads and put them together we might pull through. I have a strategy that might work: I’ll take on Princess Camilla since I have the perfect anti-flier weapon despite my disadvantages against her. Hinoka, you engage Prince Leo; you’re good at handling magical fighters like him and you always has a weapon triangle advantage regardless of what he chooses. Sounds good so far?” “Sounds reasonable enough,” Sakura said. “Sounds good to me,” Kamui said in agreement. “Sounds suicidal Takumi,” Hinoka retorted. “They’re said to be the elites of Nohr’s army second only to Prince Xander and King Garon themselves. And you still didn’t give us a guideline on how to deal with…Corrin…” “I was working on that,” Takumi said ignoring Hinoka’s tense tone. “She can turn into a dragon just like Kamui said, but we have no anti-dragon weapons aside of a Dragon God – Fifth Earthly Branch spell, and we don’t have any yin-yang masters who can wield one if we had one anyways. So my suggested course of action is to pelt her with our long-ranged units while she’s occupied with our close-ranged units. If she’s anything like Kamui she likely doesn’t have good control over her dragon form either.” Kamui shot Takumi an offended glare that was ignored as the Hoshidan archer pondered more possibilities. “If she decides not to transform then she can be easily dealt with by reverse clubs, shuriken, reverse yumi, and any naginata aside of reversed ones. She’s just as skilled as the other Nohrian royals and just as powerful when she’s not transformed, so we should either pair up good offense units with defensive or speedy support units, or we should have some very balanced units pair up and deal with her.” “…Wait Takumi, I think I have an idea,” Kamui said. “Why not have me go and deal with her? I’m worried about how the rest of the army would handle a dragon, let alone her. With me using my own dragonstone I can fight fire with fire.” Takumi looked at him as if he had said a dumb joke before he broke out laughing; after that he faced his elder brother with a deadpan stare. “That’s stupid Kamui. Don’t be stupid.” “I’m serious. If Corrin is going to turn into a dragon then why not match her strength for strength?” “Because I know that that’s a bad idea. You never fight fire with fire because that only creates more fire to deal with and a stagnation scenario where neither side is winning; we need to crush them, not make things even between us. And whoever invented that ‘fight fire with fire’ mentality should be shot, preferably with something on fire for irony.” “Come now Takumi, Kamui does have a point,” Hinoka said. “Dragons are far superior to us humans even if some members of our kind possess dragon blood in their veins. We can still overwhelm Corrin through strength of numbers like you suggested, but I’d rather have Kamui be the one to take her on rather than our other troops; he’s fought her before and other troops may attempt to kill her.” Takumi didn’t respond with an answer, opting to mumble to himself in annoyance. “Um, not to interrupt, but isn’t there someone else that we’re forgetting about?” Sakura suddenly asked. “I’ve heard that the royal family of Nohr has a fifth member.” “You mean Princess Elise?” Takumi answered. “I wouldn’t worry so much about her compared to her other siblings seeing how she’s the baby of the bunch like you, but she shouldn’t be overlooked. Elise’ll be able to reach Nohr’s wounded in ‘what am I even looking at’ speeds and her magic rivals Orochi’s, the best spellcaster we have. Even so, try not to attack her until the others are down or at least capture her to kill the Nohrian army’s morale, otherwise we’re likely to make it out disfigured and in pieces or get killed.” “We’re taking someone hostage? But, isn’t that dishonorable brother?” “All’s fair in love and war Sakura, even kidnapping and murder; well maybe not when it comes to love but you get the idea. It’s best that you learn this now rather than later or never; same thing goes for you Kamui.” Kamui gave a slow nod, not liking the fact that he may have to take another’s life. “Then it’s settled,” Hinoka said. “When we take on the royal family we know what to do. Oh, and…Takumi?” “Yes Hinoka?” “Try your absolute best to not kill Corrin. I understand that she’s spent quite some time in Nohr and that she’s our enemy right now, but—” “Spare me the lecture sis. I get the ‘she’s still family’ spiel and all that other jazz about trying to find her for so many years—plus Ryouma’s going to tan my hide raw if I do—but please, please do not tell me to take it easy on her, otherwise that’s really crossing a line given her actions as of late.” “Very well then, so long as you remember what I told you. But we’ve talked long enough; on to victory for Hoshido!” Hinoka and Takumi held their weapons skyward while Kamui and Sakura gave short nods. The sibling quartet marched off to catch up to Ryouma and help him drive the Nohrians out of their home. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Nohr Side “Had a nice nap sleeping beauty?” a sarcastic voice came. “I told you that pushing yourself with your dragonstone is killer sis.” “Save the sass for later Leo and just help me up,” a feminine figure spoke. “Are you alright my dear Corrin?” an older female’s voice asked as she and Leo pulled their sister to her feet. “You were out for quite some time.” “Oh of course Camilla, I’m very much fine; nothing like waking up in the middle of nowhere which is working wonders for my psyche.” “I apologize for the inconvenience, but it is urgent that you attend this battle with us; this day is the day that new history between the kingdoms of Nohr and Hoshido shall be written.” “And it’s going to be written in blood, either our enemies’ or our own based on what we do here,” Leo added. “And I’d like to keep my own blood strictly inside of me thank you very much,” the youngest sister of the family said, “not that I really want anyone’s blood to be spilled to begin with but, ah, it can’t be helped by this point.” “Oh, hello there Elise, I didn’t see you th—” It was then that Corrin noticed something seemed off; she looked around for any sign of fighting and found that they all were quite removed from the battlefield. “Wait just a minute; didn’t you all just say that we’re fighting the Kingdom of Hoshido?” “We are,” Leo answered, “but Xander ordered us to hang back from the fighting until you were finished up with your trip to dreamland.” “So that means that Xander is already up ahead,” Corrin said ignoring Leo’s jest. “Yup!” Elise confirmed. “He said that he didn’t want you using your dragonstone again so soon but Leo convinced him that you’ll need it for the battle.” “It’s a good thing that we’ve been studying the Hoshidan army in preparation for this,” Leo said with a confident grin. “Prince Ryouma’s come to challenge Xander as expected, and it’s not just him either; Princess Hinoka, Prince Takumi, Princess Sakura, and even…Kamui…are all accounted for.” “Kamui?” Corrin asked gaining a hostile edge to her voice. “You mean that he’s here? Now?” “Yes, and I know that you’re still upset over what happened between you two but let’s try to keep a cool head here sis; cooler heads don’t make mistakes that they’ll immediately regret at the very least.” “…True…still, when I do see him again I will let him have it.” “Try not to kill him, alright?” “I am not promising anything but I will make an effort to try to restrain myself by however much is necessary. Anyways, what of the other royal siblings? How do we deal with them?” “I’m glad that you asked. First off, we’re not going up against Ryouma, period; if you wanted suicide you’re better off doing it yourself. Next there’s Princess Hinoka; she’s a pegasus warrior but we have little bow wielders in our army. She can handle magic fairly well, but pegasus warriors are physically frail, so Camilla will handle her being the strongest of us. A few well-placed swings from a physical axe will bring Hinoka to her knees. Then there’s Prince Takumi; the guy’s a huge threat against a lot of our troops and especially against—but needless to say—our flying units. The only thing that’s stopping him from cutting through our forces like a hot knife on butter is the same glaring weakness that all bow-wielders possess: they’re total pushovers up close, and he’s particularly terrible at handling magic attacks. That’s where I come in, using one of my magic swords or Brynhildr to shred him like the paper tiger he is. If he has a reverse yumi though, I’m very much screwed, so I’ll keep an eye out for that. After him is Princess Sakura; she’s the priestess of the group and thus should be of a higher priority than her older siblings because of her ability wield many different types of batons. Capture her to lower the Hoshidans’ morale but don’t harm her under any circumstances if you want to make it out of this battle in one piece. And of course, there’s Prince Kamui; he’s a katana wielder similar to you and can transform into a dragon, which is unsurprising since he’s your twin.” “Something I wish I had remembered,” Corrin said with a sour face. “But at least we know for sure by now.” “And knowing is half the battle. By the way, I managed to snag this for you to use against him.” Leo handed Corrin a large and jagged sword, causing her eyes to widen. “This is—” “A wyrmslayer. It’s very effective against dragon units and almost any experienced sword-wielder can use it, but it’s not so great when used against anything else. And I got you your dragonstone+, a brave sword, a levin sword, and Ragnarök for use against anything that isn’t Kamui.” “‘Anything that is not Kamui’ implies that they have no dragons in Hoshido aside of him.” “Correct.” “Well, at least we are off on the right foot. And…what about Hoshido’s hallowed treasures?” “All of them are accounted for, even the Holy Night Blade from the spies’ reports.” “…We are really getting off on the right foot today. All five hallowed treasures in one place…I can hardly contain my excitement.” “They say that whosoever gathers all five of them shall be nigh-unstoppable,” Camilla said. “Xander’s Siegfried and Leo’s Brynhildr are two of the five treasures.” “And I know for a fact that Ryouma wields the Thunder God Katana while Takumi wields the Wind God Yumi. I don’t know who would have the Holy Night Blade though.” “Ryouma currently has it but he’s not actually wielding it in battle.” Leo said. “I believe that he may be plotting to use it for something later or maybe it’s just for show.” “Whatever the case is, the Holy Night Blade will be ours to command,” Corrin added grinning confidently, “and the conquest of Hoshido will be child’s play once we finally have it in our grasp.” “I can’t help but agree with that one Corrin, and just wait when we unlock its true power.” “Well then, if the game is to procure these hallowed treasures…” Camilla said. “Then let’s play!” Elise finished. “On to victory for Nohr!” With their plan set the Nohrian quartet made their way toward the battlefield where their eldest brother waited for their return. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Theme – Crisis E1 Ryouma clutched the Thunder God Katana in his hand so tight that one would have thought he saw it as a part of his own body. He took a small group of samurai, lancers, and pegasus warriors with him as he sprinted to where the Nohrian invaders were. Once he and his troops crossed a bridge across the river, they were all met with the sight of soldiers in formation as they awaited their orders. “Nothing like a good ol’-fashioned home invasion taken to its logical extreme,” Ryouma said in annoyance. “Well, brothers and sisters in-arms, the only way past is to cut through these soldiers. Any objections?” The only sound heard was a few murmurs from the soldiers across from them and the obligatory cricket chirping nearby. “My thoughts exactly.” “Lord Ryouma, look atop that hill!” one of his troops announced. “Is that mounted man in black armor the Kingdom of Nohr’s first prince, ‘Xander’?” “Where‽” His eyes were led by a samurai’s finger to a lone, conspicuous hill, and on that hill stood the very object of his ire: Xander. “Yeah, that has to be him; no one would ever make themselves that noticeable unless they wanted to be seen, and Xander must want me to see him.” Xander himself had already spotted the Hoshido prince before he made it across the bridge, regarding him with a calm and calculated gaze. “So this is the crown prince of Hoshido,” he said to himself. “He resembles his father so strongly and he even wields the Thunder God Katana just like him. No matter though; his heritage to the former king will not pull him through this battle.” A distant sound caught his ears and he turned to spot the source; it was his siblings all on their way to the site of war, with none looking worse for wear. He would’ve smiled at the sight had the atmosphere not been as tense as his father was during his off days. With everyone in the Nohrian army present he gave the signal for the soldiers to advance and attack; Ryouma saw this and with a mighty shout he charged forward, leading his entourage into the fray. Ryouma cut down the first soldier he came into contact with, sending a powerful shock through their body that left them a convulsing, sizzling heap. To avoid getting hit he quickly leapt into the air and footstool jumped off of a dozen of his enemies, distracting them while his troops rushed through them. Once he was touching down on ground once more he was greeted by several soldiers surrounding him; they didn’t last very long against him as he took them all out with a small number of wide-horizontal slashes, sending electricity everywhere he swung. Behind him were his troops who caught up with him, passing him by as they advanced ahead to engage the enemy; he stood to his feet and directed a fierce glare to the Nohrian army before him. “Behold, Nohrian troops,” Ryouma announced, “for I am the Kingdom of Hoshido’s first prince: Yamato Ryouma!” The Hoshido prince then directed his finger toward his Nohrian nemesis. “I challenge your commander to a one-on-one duel to end this bloody conflict between us once and for all!” “…Behold, Hoshido troops,” Xander spoke, “for I am the first and crown prince of the Kingdom of Nohr: Xander Plantagenet. If it is a duel you seek from me then it is a duel you shall receive, but I shall warn you; this hallowed sword of Nohr shall be the last thing you’ll ever lay eyes upon!” Emphasizing his point, Xander drew forth his weapon – Siegfried – and a dark miasma erupted around the blade, shrouding it in thick darkness. With a war cry of his own he and his horse leapt down from the hill and landed perfectly in attack mode, slicing through several Hoshido samurai in his path without skipping a beat. Seeing the sight of his enemy barreling toward him made the Hoshido prince sprint at full speed to meet his galloping opponent; both men lunged straight at each other with their weapons aimed at their nemesis, and when the weapons clashed with each other in a display of bright sparks, the war had truly begun.
  2. Here is my short acapella cover of the Birthright version of Lost in Thoughts All Alone: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1BeKTcDWqJy Apologies for the mic quality. I recorded it at work with my IPod.
  3. I looked around and didnt find any question like this, but if it has been asked and i just missed it, feel free to link me to the thread or just ignore this (ill find it eventually.) Anyway, I was wondering if getting units from another route (I have birthright, so I mean getting Einherjars of Conquest-exclusives from another castle/logbook and then using FEFTwiddler to uncheck the Einherjar and Recruited boxes, making them a legit, supportable unit) will shadowban you if you go online with them/update your castle with them? If so, is it a permanent shadowban or just until you delete the unit from your game? Again, sorry if this is stupid or has already been asked before. Thank you!
  4. Fire Emblem Fates took many risks the series never took before. From the Avatar being the main character, to the 3-way story telling, only very few of these risks had any good impacts with the fanbase. My question is, how do we make Fates even worse from a gameplay/story perspective. We already have stuff like dumb plot deaths, bland characters, and unbalanced mechanics, but how can we make it even worse?
  5. This is a Revelation run. Here are the maleficent rules: 1.) Thou shall choose one character from Fire Emblem Fates. There will be 4 female characters and 3 male characters, along with 8 child characters w/ their alternate parent. 2.) Thou shall choose my Male Avatar's name, boon, bane, and talent. 3.) I can only use those 15 characters and my avatar. 4.) I have yet to aquire the funds for the DLC map that allows me to recruit the Anna unit, but I have aquired the Lucina amiibo, so that is a choice. 5.) I shall lose if all my units die in battle. If the avatar dies, I shall just not move him in battle.
  6. I'm playing FE Fates on lunatic casual Revelation, and I want to know what classes I should make the children characters, since I challenged myself to finish the game using only them. I'll list the information below. Forest: Azura/Leo, Astra and Voice of Peace as inherited skills, no A+ support. Rhajat: Hayato/Nyx, Luna and Renewal, no A+. Nina: Niles/Beruka, Axebreaker and Shurikenbreaker, no A+. Selkie: Kaden/Hinoka, Astra and Renewal, no A+. Kiragi: Takumi/Orochi, Bowbreaker, Astra, no A+. Siegbert: Xander/Sakura, Swordbreaker and Renewal, no A+. Shigure: Azura/Leo, Renewal and Inspiration, A+ with Hisame. Kana: Male Corrin (oni savage)/Flora, Counter and Lifetaker, no A+. Soleil: Laslow/Felicia, Bowbreaker and Astra, no A+. Caeldori: Subaki/Selena, Swordbreaker and Renewal, no A+. Dwyer: Jakob/Oboro, Lancebreaker and Amaterasu, no A+. Percy: Arthur/Setsuna, Axebreaker and Renewal, no A+. Mitama: Azama/Effie, Axebreaker and Tomebreaker, no A+. Asugi: Saizo/Hana, Luna and Axebreaker, no A+. Ophelia: Odin/Kagero, Tomefaire and Shurikenbreaker, no A+. Ignatius: Benny/Rinkah, Lancebreaker andAxebreaker, no A+. Shiro: Ryoma/Camilla, Bowbreaker and Luna, no A+. Midori: Kaze/Charlotte, Astra and Swordbreaker, no A+. Velouria: Keaton/Mozu, Axebreaker and Lifetaker, no A+. Sophie: Silas/Elise, Astra and Renewal, no A+. Hisame: Hinata/Peri, Lethality and Lifetaker, no A+. Will take suggestions for which ones to go endgame with.
  7. So I was trying to randomise my game and when it says pick your path or whatever do I pick revelations for special edition to randomise all 3 or birthright or revelation (both which I want to randomise not sure which yet though). Can someone help?
  8. What I'm trying to ask is: Do people prefer My Castles that are more oriented for battles, or castles that are more appealing, visually and localation wise? Or even just castles that let you easily buy skills.
  9. I received Birthright and Conquest as separate games/cartridges for my birthday a little while ago and I've beaten Birthright and Conquest. I recently purchased Revelations through my Birthright cartridge and it really annoys me that when I check the records hall it shows my Revelation and Birthright cutscenes, but not the Conquest ones. Is there any way to somehow save my file or the cutscenes themselves from Conquest to my DS so that I can watch all three sets of cutscenes on the one cartridge?
  10. So, I recently got into a discussion with someone about Fates: Conquest, and they made the claim that the only ones who could technically be held accountable for Nohr's atrocities in that game are Garon, Hans, and Iago. They claimed that since they rule through fear and have an "infinite army of Faceless," that the heroes, and the entire Nohrian army, can't really be held accountable for only acting when they did. Now, as someone who's forgiving of a lot of the more recent games' shortcomings, I still can't really buy into this conceit, so I want to know, is there a way for Xander, Corrin and company to stage a military coup against Garon, Hans, Iago, and the Faceless while keeping civilian casualties to a minimum?
  11. Uh... Hello everyone. I'm not sure what to type here. XD One thing you must know about me is that I'm a vore lover. Not quite a vorephile, no no no, don't get me wrong there. I just find it fun to roleplay. Make fun aof me and harrass me for it all you want, but I'm sadly used to it. People have gone so far as to tell me to kill myself for liking it, even. Why am I not on Eka's Portal, a forum made for vore RPs? Because everyone there likes it as a sex thing. I just RP it for fun. I just find it interesting. But enough about that, I am a huge fan of Fire Emblem: Fates. I enjoy roleplaying, as mentioned earlier. Even though I am a girl, I enjoy playing as Laslow, Niles, and Saizo the most, though I am practicing Charlotte a bit. I am willing to take a crack at playing anyone, though. I love to do RPs over PM or email! PM me if you're interested in an RP, I love all sorts of roleplays. I can also give my email over PM as well. I am also a shameless shipper. XD I am even willing to RP with boy/boy and girl/girl pairings. Other fandoms I am in are Pokemon, Hetalia, and Danganronpa. Nice to meet you guys, and I hope to see you guys in my PM box for roleplays! EDIT: Also, where do you go to request RPs, anyway? Is there a place for that here?
  12. Hi all, I switched to a New 3DS with a 64GB microsd. All my licenses transferred over but my game data did not. I have the digital base of Fire Emblem Fates Birthright and I purchased all the DLC. I have the contents of my old microSD backed up on my PC as I transferred while the original New 3DS was working well. I re-downloaded the game and DLC, did a lot of searching and they said game data was stored in the "extradata" folder. I connected to the computer and copied the extra data folder over to the New 3DS. I was able to get my Nohr saves but not my original Hoshido ones. I tried to search for where the digital version stores the base game saves and decided it might be in the "dbs" folder. Unfortunately that just made all the saves disappear and as of yet I can't re-download my dlc. I'm not attempting to copy over everything on to the New 3DS microSD. I imagine this is risky but I've already messed it up so I might have to reformat and try again anyway. Regardless, please share any tips for what folders to copy over to get saved data for games and share any ideas on the level of ignorance transferring all the data from the source system might reflect. Any help is much appreciated. I prefer everything digital but that's not without its own host of problems.
  13. I made a magic Corrin and I want to have a good magic base kids, so I was wondering who is the better person to marry: Odin, Hayato, or Leo? Like who has higher magic based?
  14. Heh. Trolling aside... The polls for FE Heroes got me thinking about Camilla and Tharja and all the hate directed at them for being sexy characters who got highly voted. And even though Tharja gets a lot of hate, I feel like she's overall a better character and is easier to justify calling 'well-written'. Camilla, though... she's harder to defend. So I guess I like a challenge lol, because that's what I attempted to do. Even though she's kind of a bad character, there's still some stuff of interest to her character (if you're weird like me and like dark/mentally ill characters), and I don't think it NEEDS to be a bad thing that she's sexualized to a degree (though obviously Fates goes overboard with it). So... uhh, yeah... If anyone's interested, there's my thoughts on the matter ^ I welcome discussion in the thread so long as people can be RATIONAL and RESPECTFUL about it.
  15. After like 7 Lunatic+Hard Playthroughs of Conquest I've decided to make a Tier List for it. I'm looking to make it as accurate as possible. Being an efficient unit (high move, shelter, ability to kill at 1-2 range or bosskill, etc) makes the unit go up, not having these qualities or having them but needing more effort makes them go lower. Here we go: Rules: -Conquest Lunatic Classic Mode -Full recruitment, No Deaths. -No DLC or Bonus items. -No outside my castle visiting feature. -No cooking or capturing. -No invasion battles. -Efficiency (slower than LTC but not slow enough to where we can just casually take 10 turns in a map to grind someone up. Think of it like if chapter 12 takes 2 turns in a LTC run by bumrushing ryoma, efficiency takes a bit longer to ensure that it is reliable to do so. So like 6-7 turns. How many more Turns efficiency takes varies from map to map, but basically whatever seems reliable and fast) Axe Wyvern Waifu Tier Camilla Top Tier Corrin Azura Xander Jakob (Ch2) Leo High Tier Beruka Silas Niles Felicia (Ch2) Mid Tier Effie Kaze Elise Selena Shura Arthur Peri Gunter Low Tier Nyx Keaton Charlotte Laslow Flora Felicia (Ch16) Izana Bottom Tier Jakob (Ch16) Benny Mozu Odin [spoiler=List in Picture form] Axe Wyvern Waifu Tier Top Tier High Tier Mid Tier Low Tier Bottom Tier [spoiler=Important Commentary on v1.0 Unit Placements] First Tier belongs solely to Camilla, for obvious reasons. She joins as early as Chapter 10, with ridiculous bases in every stat with amazing growths that ensure she stays obscenely good throughout the game. She flies, has good weapon ranks, good classes and a decent personal skill. She's extremely dominant and doesn't need resources to perform at her best. Second Tier kicks off with Azura, her dancing is invaluable throughout the game and it becomes kinda broken with Shelter units around. Corrin is an amazing, reliable and versatile combat unit for the entire game. She can pull off a myriad of classes too well, with cavalier or wyvern being her best options. Xander joins kinda late and wants your Speedwing. Those are his only flaws. Godlike 1-2 range and durability make him too useful in most of the lategame maps. Also has Shelter if you weren't already satisfied with him. Jakob is an amazing unit that joins you early and can go Paladin with a Heart Seal. While this does mean he starts E rank weapons, it offers too many benefits for that measly cost. It means you get an 8 mov unit early on. It means Jakob gets elbow room with just 1 level. With another level you get another Shelter unit. He even gets Defender early to skyrocket his already good combat. He just keeps getting better and better with little cost. Silas joins early with nice bases and growths, has a really good and abusable personal skill in a high move class. High Tier kicks off with Niles, who is a really good unit that joins you early and has a ton of unique uses. He gives movement on pairup, gets mov+1 himself, has the ability to lockpick, has no trouble doubling, etc. He can even go bowknight later on and have like 10 mov. That's kind of amazing. His growths in areas other than spd means he can and often will fall off later on when enemy stats make the jump though. Then there's Effie, with her high str and good personal skill giving her clutch offense early on. She can go Great Knight and keep killing and tanking things. Kaze joins later than in Birthright but is still pretty darn amazing. He has amazing spd that lets him double basically forever and has good 1-2 range offense thanks to shurikens. Very useful unit but too frail to be exposed to too much combat. Leo, much like Xander, joins late and wants your Speedwing, but has really good bases and a tome that makes him a 1-2 range nuke. He has good bulk on both sides and is just really solid at combat. Felicia (Ch2), while inferior to Jakob in every way possible, does have the ability to go Strategist and have good offense (but terrible defense) early on. She's like a better Elise without Dragon Veins to me since she can do combat to get more exp than elise and get going faster. If she doesn't go strategist she's still a nice support unit that can eventually be a flame shuriken nuke. Upper Mid Tier has Elise at the top. While Elise is really solid, I feel she's not a High Tier unit. That would mean she's just one or 2 spots below Leo and there's a very clear difference between them in performance. Elise comes early with a pony and is good at her healing job. Eventually she can be a playerphase nuke too with her amazing mag and spd growths. She can never really do EP combat thanks to her hp and def though. Beruka's bases are really solid and she flies. Her biggest downside is her Spd base being super low and her growths being on the poor side. Still, she's a flying unit with good single strikes and that makes her useful enough. Selena, much like Beruka, joins with solid bases early on. She's in a much more inferior class than Beruka though. She can pull off Bow Knight and Pegasus Knight rather well. The latter making her a flying Rescue user. She will be useful, much like Beruka but she won't be winning any mvp awards either. Shura joins late and costs you a Boots if you recruit him, but he can be useful as a Bow Knight with 10 move and has nice bases. Arthur closes Upper Mid. Being an early joining unit with a good support class and the ability to be another Shelter unit if need be. Mid Tier. I felt like these guys needed the tier gap because there's no way they're on par with the upper mids. Peri kicks off the tier. She has average bases and growths in a good class and joins decently early on. She can use Shelter right away too. Gunter provides amazing pairup bonuses to Corrin, can use Shelter, can fly and he can grab quite a few support skills like Rallies really easily. Not an amazing combat unit, but a valuable support unit. Laslow joins along with Peri in C12 and has decent bases. His spd holds him back, but he's usable. He's mediocre, but usable. His rally is neat to have for free. A lot of people will give me heck for my Charlotte placement I bet, but she doesn't give move. Her str spd pairup bonus is amazing for sure, but needs more mov. And she's terrible at combat. Low Tier: Now we get to the losers. Nyx is awful. She could maybe be early-sealed to Dark Knight and be decent in like one map but that's about it. She really is hopeless as a combat unit. She can go Bowknight and be a 10 move support unit but there are better options for that and they can do combat too. Flora joins with a B rank in staves in C19 so she can use entrap. She has good skl and mag, making her pretty accurate with staves too. She has that niche going for her. Staff rank is hard to build. Felicia C16 joins late and is extremely bad, but she can heal kinda well and maybe do decent chip with Flame Shuriken here and there. Izana joins suuuper late, but he has 2 rallies and can use staves on things. Keaton, while he does have nice bases, he joins at a time when no one wants a 5 move unit with good 1 range combat. This holds him back sooo much. Bottom Tier: These are more losers than the losers. Jakob C16 can be another Shelter bot maybe and heal for less than C16 Felicia if he stays Butler. Benny can instaseal to GK and give move and str def on pairup but that's about it. Mozu can be a decent sniper if you want to go through the hell that is training her and spend an early Heart Seal on her for some reason. Odin is the worst character in the game from what i've played. His bases are laughably bad and his spd growth cripples him even more. He will always be mediocre at best even if you do train him. He can probably do better if sealed to samurai asap, but heart seals are heavily contested resources. [spoiler=Bonus, ranking the Nohrian kids] Top Tier High Tier Mid Tier Low Tier Bottom Tier Percy and Sophie in the top as they are likely to exist because their parents are great/good. Percy has a Wyvern, with good stats everywhere and a huge defense stat that makes him actually really handy to tank things. He can get Shelter from his dad and fly, which is really good. Sophie is a Cavalier, which means she gets Shelter right away, has a good dad and often will join with good bases. She usually does well no matter who is her mom. High Tier: Nina is likely to exist thanks to Niles being an amazing unit himself. She's on the very frail side but she has good offense and has the mov+1 skill to make her even better. Ophelia doesn't have a good dad, but wow her offense is really good and she can go Dark Knight. She's a nuke. Too bad about that dad of hers...Kana can inherit good stuff like Wyvern to help out. His/her stats are mediocre/average at best but he/she can be made into a useful unit more often than not. Dwyer is decent if Corrin married Jakob and inherits the good stuff, otherwise he's just a healer on a pony like Elise but worse. Mid Tier: Midori can go Mechanist, which is a good class for 1-2 range nuking things. She's decent at best though. Siegbert isnt likely to exist before the very late maps thanks to Xander's availability. He's really average I find and strictly inferior to Xander. Soleil is a late joining Laslow without his Rally but with the ability to potentially be made better through skill genetics...not very promising. Can probably go Bow Knight and do decently. Shigure...it's painful to pairup Azura in Drafts! omg she's the worst!!!!! Now that I got that out of my system, Shigure can become a Rally Speed bot later on which is probably handy if he does manage to exist. Low Tier: Forrest is a late joining healer thanks to Leo's late arrival. Velouria isn't likely to be in play and doesn't offer much. Bottom Tier: Ignatius. Yeah...his dad is bad, his paralogue I hear is impossible after a certain point (havent done it myself yet) and hes probably just a pairup bot GK like his dad. 16. Spoilers for Birthright below! My god this game is depressing! I just played through Birthright... And I don't know what to think. Main character (kept as default male) loses his mother whom he only started to know, two good friends (Kaze, didn't know you could save him at first, and Lilith), a younger sister, an older brother, and finally, his wife (married Azura), which makes him a widower at just the young age of 18-19 (just an estimation). This game is cruel! I don't remember the other Fire Emblem games killing off that many likable characters just like that! I've played 900 hours in Awakening as of now (purely through main story, I don't bother with that online crap), and I'm still wanting to play the game from time to time, but I can't seem to want to play this game and the other paths I recently bought anytime soon due to fear of seeing characters (especially Azura in that final cutscene, seriously gut wrenching!) die like that. From what I hear, Conquest is even more depressing... Obviously, some characters are going to die, it is a game about war after all... but some characters, especially Azura (and Lilith), should not have died for such bullshit reasons! In Awakening, Robin should have died (as it would make sense), but he didn't due to some power of friendship bullshit (of course I'm still glad he's alive), but in Fates Azura dies to bullshit reasons? There's the end to my short little rant. I still dearly love the series; I bought a new 3DS just so I could play this game (just like how I bought a 3DS 3 years ago only to play Fire Emblem Awakening). I just wanted to share my thoughts about the games mistake in killing a main character off like that at the end, or maybe I'm just a little bitch who can't take loss well. Anyone else have some thoughts about this? No spoilers for Conquest and Revelation please! Obviously I'm still going to play through those paths, just not anytime soon (I need to recover from that last Azura cutscene *cries*).
  17. I've looked through dozens of forum posts on several websites, but I can't find the sanswer to a specific question. I want to test some simple cheats in Fire Emblem Fates, nothing to extreme, just some simple convoy editing since grinding and forging weapons in the game is bullshit (Maybe also make some units into funny classes for a short bit). However, I got confused as I looked into the "Shadowban Checklist". If I, for example, had Forrest as a Witch or Subaki as a Wolfskin, would I get shadowbanned if they weren't in my street pass team? Does having them as those classes AT ALL get me shadowbanned?
  18. Hey guys, just wondered if you are interested in following my run in Conquest. The rules will be: - No death -> If a unit dies (side character or Avatar) the whole game will be reset. Green units and things I have no control over is of course not included here. - No royals -> I will not be using Xander, Elise, Camilia, Leo, (Azura will be used) the remaining royals will only be used as pair up bots for potential kids. - No grind / no dlc -> I am not gonna be using any form of grinding that can be abused (forexample spamming Azura dance to oblivion) and will not use any dlc to lvl up characters. Paralogues and the 2-3 invasions will be used as I count them as official maps in the game. As a ekstra note I will not be using the forge or anything that requires minerals or give small buffs in the keep. Only gonna use the Rod store and armory. Ekstra ekstra note lol -> Will not use capture units. Not because of difficulty, but because I have never used them in general lol. So far I have gotten to chapter 19 in my longest run with these rules. I will most likely not live through it all this time either but I thought it would be fun to show you my tactics and frustrations. Helpfull advice would always be appreciated. Now, my team comb during the game switches a bit since I honestly go mostly after who does not get RNG screwed. However, I will be using Arthur, Mozu and Felicia during my run. My Avatar will most likely have magic boon and speed bane.and will have monk as talent. Let me know if you guys are interested in seeing this. :D Note: The run will be in pictures and text since I don't have the gear to record Nintendo 3ds games. 1st run: Some of the imgur photos are not working. I have posted most of it in here. You will have to unfortuantly scroll down to the bottom... :/ https://miiverse.nintendo.net/users/Playsta/diary I added them to an album on imgur site. The first 5 chapters is here! http://imgur.com/gallery/6paQe
  19. Im trying to change everyone in Fates to start out as another class (In this specific case they are all gonna be in their default secondary class) Does anyone here know how to do this?
  20. HI, I'm new to the hacking scene and decided I want twin Kanas. Now, the problem is that I already recruited my single femKana. and so what I did to accomplish this was to just recruit a logbook Kana and just remove his recruited status and einherjar status using FEFTwiddler, but I would like to know if there is a better way of achieving this?
  21. So I know theres a hack to change hair colours, classes, items, etc. but is there a hack to change corrins face to any of the other ones mid game? I want to change my avatars face but I don't want to restart my save file.

  23. I made an attempt at a messy average stats thingy, it's more of a proof of concept than anything. Please let me know any way I could improve upon it. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1g3FAJ4EpaWN91L7N6YAdxkpaVVh81i7UDitM4XVfLmU

  25. I was curious if I could make an average stats page for Fates, I've been bored lately and making some charts and just feel like it'd be kinda neat and useful and rather than just keeping it away and for myself, I felt it might as well be listed somewhere, and I thought no better place than here! I was planning on making it in a similar format to other average stats pages on the site. I would be very thankful if you took this into consideration and perfectly understand if it cannot be done. Thank you for your time!
