  3. So, I have a question. If i buy DLC for one game, will it automatically go to the other? Does it have to be the physical copy, or just digital? Or can it be both? So many questions! I need answers!
  4. Hey Guys, so here's my question: In Fire Emblem: Awakening one of my favorite things to do was create new avatars, send them over to my file, train them, and then use them in my main party. However in Awakening all avatars had access to all classes. In Fates that is not the case. So basically what I'm asking is if there is any way to unlock classes for an avatar I brought over from another one of my files? If not are there other ways to unlock classes other than supports? Also, if neither of those are possible what do you guys suggest I do to unlock the classes I want them to have without getting them to high level to not get the skills, but still do it quick enough that I can play them on my main playthrough? Thanks in advance guys.

  6. Hi everyone! You can call me Isa! I'm kinda new to Fire Emblem; I bought Awakening during summer 2015 to get a little used to the gameplay for Fates coming up (and I have also enjoyed it so far). I wasn't very interested in FE until I watched the first Japanese trailer for Fates around May last year! Seeing Aqua/Azura as a singing and fighting character really hooked me! As for favorite characters/ships, I don't usually have favorites, but in Awakening I really like Kellam (I married him!), Miriel, Severa, Gerome, and Brady. My ships for Awakening are NoireSev, CynthGerm, Nah x Morgan(M), Noire x Brady, Noire x Owain (I have a lot of Noire ships whoops). I also enjoyed Lissa and Gaius, Miriel and Gregor, and Cordelia and Stahl's support convos! I don't really have any ships or "fave" characters for Fates yet since I haven't played the game or seen any support convos, but I think we can all agree that f!Kamui is HOT c; (aka I love myself lol) EDIT: I lied, I can't believe I forgot about my hubby Cyrus/Silas and my wonderful children, Sophie and Kanna (I like to think there's twin Kanna's...wish that was an option!) Besides Fire Emblem, I also enjoy music/singing (hence why I like Aqua so much), drawing, other video games like Pokemon and Kingdom Hearts, and learning languages! (I plan on covering if~hitori omou/Lost in Thoughts All Alone as well!) I don't have much else to say...hope we can get along! c:
  7. first off big big thanks to luyairis and kyokko for helping some of us who don't live in japan obtain the merch that was available at events like cipher sai, we really appreciate all that they have done after inviting two of my friends to try them, I decided to do a semi unboxing and review of the crackers from cipher sai, with a few pictures to help show them off a bit, first I'll list some of the features they have and then try my best to describe the taste, I'm no gourmet chef but I'll try my best lol -after removing the outer box, the crackers each came in small plastic packages that had a framed motif to show each character -it also had one of those do not eat packets written in english and japanese, similar to the ones you find in shoe boxes, the packet also said do not make wet -very surprisingly lol the crackers were much bigger than expected, I thought they would be similar to the size of a quarter but they were around the size of the palm of my hand, think around 10-20 percent bigger than the can badges -some had air pockets and bumpy textures, likely because of the baking process -the character printing on each one comes off quickly, my hand didn't have any sweat or grease on it when I tried one but the character portraits smudge fairly easily, I think they're made of soy sauce or something similar -the crackers are hard, they took some force to break and bite into but weren't too much -they didn't have much of a smell to them now the taste -I'll just say it now, they were neither bad nor good lol I wouldn't mind eating more but I'm not exactly going to be craving them soon -they have a very soy-like, tofu taste, not really weird considering japanese food, they also slightly reminded me of rice cakes but with a more soy taste to them with a bit of crunch -I was a bit surprised at their taste since I thought they would be similar to saltine crackers or potato chips -me and my friends only ate two of them, the elfie and kellam ones, I didn't feel like opening up and eating all of them so I saved the others for now lol if anybody has any questions, ask me and I'll do my best to answer them, Thank you for reading and hope you enjoyed it!
  8. In your opinion, which Hard Mode was the biggest kick in the balls? The thing about FE is that everyone has a different experience playing it, so by all means, there has to be some level of excessive bullcrap any game in the series gave you. Right now, I'm playing FE6 HM. Crying tears of anguish so far.

  11. I haven't seen any randomizers that change level design and events, so... how's about I drop this little buddy here, stir up some interest, and hopefully get help and support on it, eh? What the hell is this and what does it do? It's an FE7 Chapter randomizer. It generates custom maps and events, inserts them into your FE7 rom, and then you can play the maps. The randomizer currently goes all the way up to the end of Lyn mode. Eliwood and Hector mode are completely unchanged. All chapters are beatable. What are the features? Well, while it doesn't generate map files, it DOES generate all of the event data it uses in the game, which you can modify to your hearts content and re-insert into the game. It also allows you to designate a randomizer seed, which it then saves into a TXT file so you can send it to your friends, or write up your own list of seeds that you like. Right now, the chapters are extremely simple and lame. They're all seize missions, you're Lyn, and the one enemy you fight is Batta, who sits on every throne. I want to change this in the future. What stuff do you want to implement? - Properly functioning everything, including usage of more tilesets, difficulty scaling, balancing, mission objectives, units, etc. - I want the player to have a custom lord whose class they determine. - I want to make the game start in Hector Hard Mode, so that I can use HHM bonus levels to properly scale enemy difficulty. - I need to find a way to randomly generate a square reserved for "player units", then form a randomly generated path from there to the throne, which I'll use to tell the program "NEVER place non-traversable tiles here" so maps are always beatable. However, if you've pre-ordered online, you're safe so don't worry! Only those who pre-ordered in-store are affected. Fortunately for me, I pre-ordered this on the 16th, so I'm good.   13. Hello people, So... the English FE Fates comes out in about a month already. I thought I'd support what the translation team has been through in the making of the whole project, because we both know that people around here have been between a rock and a hard place- the release of Fates in Japan, while not receiving a release date confirmation in the US ourselves until October and that it has caused... impatience, alongside other feelings. But straight to the point- if that's something that's bound to interest you as well as others, I'm covering FE Fates right now WITH the translation patch installed on my YouTube channel, since I got everything to work on my newly-purchased capture card 3DS. I was able to run the Invisible Kingdom and DLC as well- in fact, I'm highly considering to cover the third path (despite it being in something of a revision state) because it's my favorite of the three, as well as to get some early coverage of it with my own combination of quality, gameplay and commentary. I've taken a peek at other playthroughs of that path, and I felt something was lacking one way or the other. Not saying I'm gonna sound any better to you, stressful as it is already to record a game like this IMO, but heck if I won't try to entertain some die-hard fans while having fun myself, doing something I thought I would never have pulled off. And even when the game releases in English, I'll probably just continue playing the patch (not that I'll have much of a choice when I'll be farther in the game, lol). Also censorship. That's a thing too. Anyway, regardless of the path(s) covered, I'm gonna be playing on Lunatic/Classic without grinding. Subject to change depending on my situation (IRL or not), but that's the plan I'm willing to stick with.   14. Well, it seems that every hacker has to start somewhere, so for my first released hack I'm giving you Fire Emblem Binding Blade+. Incase it wasn't obvious, this an enhancement(sorta) of Binding Blade. Present changes include but are not limited to, are: Lyn replaces Lance as a character and Merlinius' role in the plot.   17. Hi, I´m new to Serenesforest. Last months I´ve been playing a little bit with Awakening and Fates´s story. If your are interested, post your ideas. This post contains Big Spoilers for Awakening and some Mild Spoilers for Fates The first thing I want to share is Chrom´s dad, I made a base design for it and I think it is pretty cool. One thing I noticed is that I´m not that great at drawing armor, so if you´d like to help me with that I would really appreaciate it. Once I get Fates next month and clear the story modes, I´ll update on the story itself, so you´ll have to wait a little bit until the main story. For some time it will be some designs I make or some mini stories that will shape the main story. Well, here comes Chrom´s Dad I am not that great with names, but my idea for his name is Rodrik. He is an only child. In this story, he is the first blue haired descendant that wasn´t born with his brand. For that reason, he isn´t able to wield Falchion. His base class is an Axe Lord, but his class is War Lord, they can use Axes and Swords. I don´t know what his Personal Skill would be. Since his parents loved him very much, they forged a special axe made of extremely rare silver that uses the Argent Gem´s Power. He still goes into a rampage and tries to anihilate the Grimleals. I´ll attach the photos in the next few days since I´m having Internet trouble right now. Update #1 Now, I´ll talk a bit about the main thing of this mashup. Since I haven´t played Fates, but I know a bit of the story, this may change in the future. The idea is that after the end of Fire Emblem Fates, the Invisible Path, Kamui, Aqua, and Lilith go through a portal and got to Chrom´s world. They get separated in the way, and Kamui appears near the time and place where Chrom finds Robin, but he can´t remember well what happened to him. I´ll update after the game comes out, to avoid people getting mad with me.
  18. What I mean in the title is that what would you change if you had full control over the FE games, remakes, story, gameplay, marketing, character and level design, art style, setting etc?
  19. Hey, I figured I'd try something different and do a let's play. Sadly I lack the gear currently to screenshot or record 3DS games, so this will have to be all text. But I'm a fairly good writer, so I'm hoping this'll be worthwhile to read anyway. Figured out how to do screenshots. I'm going to be doing what I call Fire Emblem STEAM. I'm going to play through the story mode of Intelligent Systems' latest game (for the west anyway), Code Name: S.T.E.A.M., and I'm going to do it entirely with the fire emblem characters whenever possible. Now, since I hate most of the color changes characters take on (and all of the amiibo ones) when you retry a mission, I'm going to be going through each of these missions on a fresh file, first run, so there will be mandatory party members I'll have to let tag along for certain missions and drop one of my amiibos for (*cough* Ike *cough*), and missions 1-1, 1-2 and 1-3 will be done without amiibos since they're not available at that point. Scratch that, turns out those color changes are only for challenge modes, which I won't be doing. I'll be playing through every level of the game using just those four units. I'll be honest, while I vow to stick with this as long as I can, I don't know if I'll be able to see this through to the end, or if it's even possible. Being locked to a specific party that lacks access to three crucial gameplay elements (a halfway decent overwatch attack, a healing weapon, and a weapon capable of hitting weakpoints on big enemies) just seems incredibly limiting. What's more, the amiibo units... vary... drastically... in terms of quality, and even the best ones don't last long against the final boss due to a special strategy involving tanks and healing seeming to be pretty much required from my limited experience fighting it. If anybody has any advice for me I'd appreciate it. Also, while I may go back on this later, for now I plan to try and do this without using save points, and refusing to reset until I get a game over. I had a tendency to play through the game on fire emblem instinct, resetting the moment somebody was defeated, and I think it would be fun to exploit the fact that this is the one strategy game where you can play as fire emblem characters that don't suffer from permadeath, and see what kind of exciting down-to-the-wire struggles I can find myself in. I'm not going for score, I'm aiming for just winning. I'll skip gears unless they're basically free to grab, and I won't care about medals unless I later decide to use save points. I'm going to skip talking about the first set of missions since that's going to be standard fare, nothing unique or interesting there. So the first entry you'll see of this will be mission 2. Again, change of plans, I'll be starting on chapter 1.
  20. Do you do anything weird when playing FE, do you have a dumb headcanon you know is wrong but believe it anyway, or a controversial opinion about the series. Well, confess them here and be proud of it. I'll start I like to call mages benders, since they remind me of benders from Avatar The Last Airbender I consider Archenea/Ylisse to be the future form of the continent in ATLA I crackship GangrelxEmmeryn, hard I like Awakening's story For reasons even I don't understand, Wrys from FE1 is my 4th favorite FE character.
  21. As the title says, I have only played Awakening, and would like to try on one of the other games. I could do what I did with Final fantasy, and play all from the bottom up, but I don't know if that would be too time consuming. So which ones do you guys recommend trying out?
  22. Undertale characters if they had fire emblem classes if this is in the wrong place please correct me. WARNING: This may possibly contain spoilers for the game Undertale. If, for any reason, you do not want to see spoilers for this game, please do not continue reading. Hey everyone, the next update for "Fire Emblem Fan Fighting Game" is taking awhile because of unity's physics engine but I wanted to stay active in the forums. So I was thinking that the system I had planned made it so easy to add characters that all I need to know is their class, stats, growth stats, a weapon to give them as their default and something to make them special, I was playing with the idea of including guest characters after I finish and I recently finished playing undertale. This got me thinking what fire emblem class would some of the undertale characters be. alright enough pointless chatter from me. here are my thought: Frisk/Chara - thief[Awakening](frisk=trickster/chara=assassin) So I don't see the main character as a thief or that they act like the thieves but Frisk/Chara are normally shown using a dagger like knife which feels similar to how the thief fights and you mainly focus on dodging and the thief does have a higher chance of dodging compared to most classes. The other things that I thought was really cool concept is that the assassin promotion for thief could greatly fit Chara and the trickster some what relates to Frisk. Toriel - Sage[All FE that have them with anima/tome and staff] I know this one sounds obvious because she mainly fights with fire magic. So, of course, she was gonna be a caster but There were a few things that helped me narrow down the choices. First. I felt she is a more powerful monster then she showed in her boss fight so I felt she should at least be a promoted class. Second, her main form of attacking is casting fire magic so I ignored light and dark magic caster though I feel the way she acts are more in line with light caster's behavior. Lastly, I felt she should be a class that uses a staff to reflect on how kind nature. This left me with sage and Valkyrie. Could have just as easily picked Valkyrie but I felt the sage was a closer fit. Not because the Valkyrie is on horseback but the sage's outfit looks more like her's. Papyrus - mercenary[almost every FE game] I thought he could use his bones as swords and, though he kinda has the magic thing where he makes you blue, I didn't feel like he would be a caster. Plus, most characters I remember from the FE games in the mercenary class are a little more outgoing and friendly to those they don't consider an enemy. Plus, he is still a guard in training so I thought he would have a lower class to show he still has room to grow. Undyne - Soldiers[path of radiance] (Undyne the undying=Halberdier) I knew I was going to make her a lance wielder with the possibility of sword. Most of the lance wielder's were on horse back or some other animal and I felt she wouldn't be the kind of person to ride something into battle. She didn't come off as someone that would be a lord and, in all honesty, the lord class and it's promotions is just sometimes the uber class because of reasons. I, also, wanted to include that she wears armor but she was too agile, for me, to be a knight or any other heavy armor class. I was going to make her Halberdier but I skipped that and made her a Soilder so her upgraded self could be that. Alphy - Archer[Most FE games] This was a hard one because I don't recall their being a scientist or scientist like class in the games. I, thought, maybe a caster but it didn't feel like good fit. I felt her cowardly, clumsy, and, occasionally, burdensome nature reminded me more of the archers. Granted many archers/snipers and very proud and respectable, a couple of FE games include less than confident archers. Mettaton - dancer[FE3-5/12-13](Mettaton NEO=dancer from all other FE games) I know I am kinda being lazy with this one but he is a performer. I, specifically, choose the dancer from FE3-5/12-13 because they get swords in those games. Though Mettaton does not get a sword, the attack he does with his legs kinda looks like they could be swords. I, also, add the joke of Mettaton NEO being the dancer class from the other games because they can't use a sword in those games and Mettaton NEO doesn't do anything. Sans - myrmidon[All FE games this class makes an appearance](Genocide run Sans=swordmaster) This was a tough one because, unlike papyrus, sans has more of a caster vibe to him with his gaster blaster, his "shortcuts", completely and instantly changing the fight, and his greatly improved use of turning you blue. I could completely see him being a magic user, which is why I was thinking dark mage because he is a little mysterious. Then I got to thinking about him, his low stats, he mainly dodges, he dies with one good hit, and his way of attack multiple times. He fights more like a myrmidon or swordmaster and, if I can get away with the same thing as papyrus, his bone attacks could be viewed as swords. Assuming I am remembering this correctly, swordmasters are, occasionally, found with magic or ranged swords so he can still be a little bit of a caster. Asgore- Berserker[All FE games this class makes an appearance] He's big. He's bulky. The only thing that isn't right is that he uses trident instead of an axe but he does swing that thing around like it is one. Except when he destroys the mercy button. I will say for awhile I was thinking general but he didn't come off as heavily armored, just bulky. I was, also, thinking Great Lord as either Hector's version or maybe the awakening version. I did think about his magic use but I couldn't think of a bulky caster that uses a non magic weapon. EDIT: Asriel - pupil[FE8](Asriel pacifist run first form=Druid) Can't believe I forgot to include this guy. He is small weak but has a lot of potential considering his parent's. So the pupil just fit. I, also, specifically chose FE8 so his first form in the pacifist run boss fight would still fit because of the promotion. I'm not touching his other form or flowery because that would just be a one of the crazy end of game bosses in FE. Asgore - Baron[FE4/5] Thank you "Sane Young Dog Man" for reminding me that this class exists. Lance, can use fire magic, and has just the right amount of armor. The class does also get swords, axes bows, and all other magic except light and dark but this is an enemy only op class in FE 4&5. We can just pretend that, even though he could be using all these other things, he only has a lance and fire magic on hand.

  24. Anything special about the marker cards besides the fact that they have no text? Thinking of collecting them but they're kind of expensive. Are they holo?
  25. Now, I know that there are quite a bit of Fire Emblem reps already, but only one from what might be one of the most famous eras of Fire Emblem: the Gameboy Advance era. So, if we could have more representatives without taking up other spaces of potential fighters, who would you want? Keep in mind, I only said the Gameboy Advance thing because I'm biased towards it, so choose anyone, from the NES, SNES, GC/Wii, etc. Also, feel free to list your ideas on play-style or attacks. My personal choices: Hector and Lyn. Lyn would be an interesting weapon-user with emphasis on both spacing and getting up close, while Hector would be like Ganondorf with an axe, sort of. Lyn: (Note: always has sword in sheath until she attacks. I also have no clue of how her PM version plays) Jab: Basic slice to knock opponents away; F-Tilt: A leaning slice with little endlag to combo into another tilt. Has somewhat high startup; U-Tilt: Slices upwards in front of her, hitting twice, and allowing for aerial follow-ups; D-tilt: Shield poke, no clue, really; F-Smash: based on the Sol Katti attack animation where she flips and strikes downwards; N-Air: A kick with low power and low landlag, good for air-to-ground; F-Air: Foward slice; B-Air: Kicks backward, then slices; D-Air: Almost like Marth's D-Air, but sacrifices range for lower end and land lag; U-Air: Dunno; Special: Iron Bow: Tapping special will send out an arrow with low power, but high speed, holding special will do the "Critical" version, where it has a bit more power behind it; Side Special: Attack (Can't really think of a good name): Does her attack animation as a Lord, which has decent power, but can be used as a pressure tool, since it can jump back after attacking on the ground, or can be used as a recovery tool; Up Special: Third Jump?; Down Special: Critical Counter: Basically the All-or-Nothing counter with high attack power but little counter frames. Hector: (Note: HEAVY and surprisingly fast) Hadn't thought much about it, but Side Special as the Hand Axe and Up Special as Armads-Copter?
