  1. With the compatability of Amiibo confirmed for Fire Emblem If and its surge in popularity as a series its got me wondering if we will see a seperate Fire Emblem line of Amiibo perhaps even starting with If. I don't think its a suprise that the Super Mario series got its own line because its viability to sell and while alot of people out there might contend that Fire Emblem might simply not get one because its not as popular consider that Amiibos across the board have been selling like hotcakes regardless of series/franchise. Additionally, its a venture that Nintendo has been highly profitable in and given the slow sales of the Wii U it is most welcome to them indeed. What are your thoughts on the idea of a Fire Emblem line of Amiibo? Do you even think there will be one in the first place? I know there are other threads (below) that talk about the Amiibo craze but I felt like the topic of a potentially seperate fire emblem line warranted a new disscussion geared towards that but if this is treading into already treaded terriotory go ahead and lock this thread please. 2. Ok, so I was listening to the album Vocalofantasy, and I thought as I looked at the cover, "I could see these guys in FE." http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/vocaloid/images/0/03/Vocalofantasy.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20141231215519<-- cover And then I thought making a Rom hack would be really cool. Unfortunately I don't have the time (or skills) to do it, but here's my ideas for you guys to use. Please tell me if you want to make this into a game! *A bit of previous vocaloid knowledge needed. Or just Google.* Cast Hatsune Miku, class: Falcoknight Megurine Luka, class: Dancer Kagamine Len, class: Wyvern Knight Kagamine Rin, class: Peg Kn. Kaito, class: Cavalier IA, class: Cleric/Troubadour Mayu, class: Dark Mage Gumi Megpoid, class: Archer Kamui Gakupo, class: Myrmidon Yuma, class: Myrmidon Mizki, class: Swordmaster Meiko, class: Mercenary My idea for the game itself Prolog So IA is Rin's maidservant, Rin being a lord kind of character. As IA is going to Rin's house, she feels something bad will happen. What could it be?! No one else has noticed. She asks her friend Mayu but Mayu just says, "What?" and goes away. Chpt 1 Gakupo is training with his friend Yuma, for their next exam at the School of Myrmidon...ry. They have a friendly rival convo, and then start fighting (training fighting.) As they're training, without their teacher Mizki, some brigands attack the School. As it's early morning, no one but them is awake yet, and so they take it on themselves to fight. Unfortunately, even though they fought hard, Yuma dies, and his last words are, "Gakupo, please run away... save yourself. Bad... omen..." Gakupo runs away rather reluctantly. Chpt 2 Gumi and Rin are patrolling Miku's castle, when they spot Gakupo fainted in the field. They go down and save him. Then, they find out about the attack on the School, and they are confused. How'd the bandits get in anyway? At this point, the bandits have made it and now want Gakpo's blood, so they continue trying to kill him. Miku, Rin (Jeigan archetype, woo!) and Gumi defeat them. These are the only chapters I've actually thought out. Does anyone have ideas on where it should go next?

  4. Hello, everybody! My name is SilverHairedFreak25, but you can call me Mathew, Silver, or SHF25 for short. I've been working on this hack for a couple months now, but it's still in the planning stages. This will be a hack of Rekka no Ken (or Blazing Sword if you prefer... ya frickin' wierdo) Here's just a few of the things I have planned for this hack. Features overview: -New story with new characters, as well as a few previously unplayable characters from FE7, such as Fargus, Jan and Bramimond. -New maps and music will be available. -New Unit type: Grey. These act like Berserked units and will attack indiscriminately, whether the victim be blue, green, or even red. These units tend to be stronger than average NPC units due to the fact that they can be attacked by anyone, and will be few in numbers. -Magic Seal will be playable.-Can equip swords -Toggleable seal -Seal reduced to 5 tiles as opposed to 10 -New/Improved weapons:-Kunai (1-2 range sword akin to the Javelin or the Hand Axe) -Buffed (and obtainable) poison weapons -Light magic tomes will be reduced in weight by 50%, and Anima magic will have 75% of its original weight. Amina spells will also have increased crit rate. Dark Magic will not have a weight buff due to their special effects but will have their might slightly increased. -New Classes (Playable): -Ninja-More offensive version of thief that cannot steal but retains “thief vision” -Can walk on wall tiles in the same way Brigands can walk on mountain tiles -Equips Swords & Bows -Shinobi-Promotion for Ninja via Scroll of Honor (Replaces Fell Contract and Thief now uses Ocean Seal to promote) -+2 mobility on wall tiles -+15 Critical rate Plot preview: It has been a year since the defeat of the villainous Nergal. Whatever small dregs of the mercenary group Black Fang that remained scrambled in an attempt to either redeem themselves or to restore their once great organization. One group led by the last remaining Dark Arts user has been somewhat successful at the latter, even if his slowly growing group is less than unconventional. This… is not his story. This is the story of a young man named Inigo, his childhood friend Serenity, and their mysterious new companion Conroy. The story will take place in two parts, like Lyn’s story and Eliwood/Hector’s story. The first story, AKA the first 10 chapters, will take place in Inigo’s home: the island country of Sanshiro. It all starts with Inigo hunting in the woods for his little sister, who he has sole custody of. He is then attacked by thugs, and also… something else entirely. It has the appearance of a skeletal knight, with metal bones, black blood, and a single red glowing eye. After he and Serenity killed it, they started to feel uneasy. What was this thing? Where did it come from? Questions filled their heads as they headed back to their hometown, where there was a bit of a scuffle going on. A mysterious traveler had arrived, but the local priest started shouting “MONSTER! MONSTER!!” after laying eyes on him. After a bit of a scuffle in the town, the priest backed down, retracting his earlier statement. The traveller had with him an odd scroll, which was the reason he sought out this town in the first place. The scroll spoke of an untold chapter in the history of the world, The Scriptures of the Iron Demon. It spoke of a time when Dragon and man fought against a common threat: a powerful demon whose prime objective was to kill all dragons, destroy magic, and any humans involved with it, which was quite a considerable amount at the time. It spoke of how the creature was so powerful that it could not be killed. Instead, the inhabitants of the primitive earth had no choice but to seal it in an underground tomb. It also spoke of a prophecy involving the Pikeman, the Dead Man, the Huntress, the Three-Eyed Monk, and the Iron Demon’s resurrection. The nameless traveler, who was given the name “Conroy” by Serenity, realized he was one of the three heroes in the prophecy. Inigo and Serenity decided to tag along, becoming the other two heroes the scroll described. They then set off to seek out the three-eyed monk and kill him before he can free the Iron Demon from his earthen prison. Character Concept Art: (Will have better pictures soon) [spoiler=Inigo: The Pikeman] [spoiler=Serenity: The Huntress] [spoiler=Conroy: The Dead Man] [spoiler=Astaroth: The Three-Eyed Monk] Allright, I just have one thing to ask of you. I want to know if anyone would be willing to make portraits and custom battle sprites for this game. I can send you my sketches as reference, and I will take care of the scripting and writing.

  6. If you think about it, how it's gonna be the plot?, The only clue we have is that is in "modern" times by game devolopers in an interview, so, in the case i can imagine, is more probably that this game revolves in the SMT world, because every FE were been devoloped to focus on medieval times. So the possibility of this is high, that, or a new complete world never seen before to match the game's plot, but i don't know, another thing that cross my mind are the characters, how can you relate every single FE character (If we suppose that the game will have other FE characters beside those who've appeared in the trailer), into his own world, let alone every single SMT character (Again, besides the characters shown in the trailer), I mean, to mix all of this into a single world seems rather problematic, at least in plot wise. And what about the enemies?, who'll have the balls to challenge SMT and FE characters together, because if you take note in the games, Ike and Robin are devastating in FE, let alone the SMT who have Demifiend and Aleph, the most devastating characters in videogames ever (One defeated YHVH, and the other depending on choices, but to put it simple, he rules both the Heavens and Hell, and he killed God, Lucifer, Metatron, etc.) I can't imagine who will be the final boss of this game, it should be someone really, really, reaaaaaallyyyyy, badass and awesome to attempt defeating those characters, together. And i didn't mention the rest of the cast, while the human side in Fire Emblem is not Deity powerful, they can manage to fight well, especially with sacred weapons, the SMT side is OP, in plot wise and stat wise, not everyone in SMT is incredibly powerful, the main series are quite indeed, the spin-off series may have problems, but if they could manage to beat powerful demons, they can aswell fight in a good level. I think that the plot would be something like this: In a distant world, when Lucina was using the dimension method to travel to the past, she fucked up this time by using the dimension portal, and somehow, she have mixed every timeline of her world, and leading all the people there into a new, never seen world. Meanwhile, the Demifiend was crushing enemies in the Amala Network that he crossed a weird portal dimension, he though that it could be interesting pass it, so he passed but as Lucina, he fucked up too and he brought with him all the characters of his timeline, then, he wakes and discover the faces of Flynn, Aleph and Futsuo (KK Complete Works name) together, if that wasn't weird enough, he discover aswell people who faces couldn't recognize, they were FE characters that were brought by the Dimension Portal, they read a letter send by an Unknown character that says: "You are in my power, now that you're all here, I'll lend you a splendid welcome with some of my strongest demon armies, I hope that you can suceed in your mission, if you live, muahahahaha", so everyone creates a group to make real one thing, defeating the unknown person who is trying to attack us, in their journey, they come across with many different characters of both SMT and FE, they will laugh, cry, rage, share, but they only try to escape of this world, and their only spot is by defeating this unknown, when they reach the castle of the "unknown", and defeat every single enemy before the main hall, when they enter, they were surprised, so surprised that someone faints by seeing that face, and the identity of that dreaded who was... Well, my imagination is quite big, I would like to see at least one of the points that i created with this story, sounds like an Amateur Uncompleted Mini Fanfiction, but since the game will be something like that, but much bigger, or something different with some settings, I cannot wait how everything resolves.
  7. I want to get a new 3ds to replace my current 3ds but if theres going to be a bundle with the new fire emblem coming out this year I'd rather just wait. What does everyone think the chances of a bundle like that coming out are

  13. Hey guys! As many of you know, a very important mechanic in FE5 and FE3 Book 2 is the ability to actively influence the growth rates of units by having them carry crusader scrolls (or star shards in FE3's case). If exploited, this mechanic can turn units with moderate or even bad growth rates to actually useful units. However, whenever I find myself playing either FE5 or FE3, I tend to forget the exact base growths of most of my units and/or the exact bonuses granted by items (especially some that influence multiple stat growths), therefore having to look them up. This is more evident in FE5's case where the inventory has 7 available slots, therefore allowing for more complex combinations of scrolls. Furthermore, the way that crusader scrolls function may not be immediately obvious to those new to the game. So this gave me the idea of building a tool that would automate these computations and would also allow any user to keep track of these computations easily, without having to lookup or even remember anything. It's nothing too fancy really, just some html, css and a bit of javascript coding that gets the job done. Please allow me to demonstrate. Let's pick Marty (the man whom Dagda loved) as our test subject: Upon selection, the calculator displays an output that consists of three parts: the character's modified growths, the character's chances to cap each stat and his average stats (many thanks to Sara. for suggesting this addition). Modified Growths: The first part details the unit's modified growth rates under the specified set of crusader scrolls. Of course, if you select no scrolls, what you'll see is simply the unit's base growths. Regarding the displayed data, the unit's starting class is also shown along with his growth rates, in case someone wants to compare between units of the same class. Now, as it becomes instantly obvious, his Str, Skl and Spd are downright horrible and should be tampered if we want him to have a fighting chance. Let's load his inventory with a bunch of scrolls: Whenever a new scroll is added or removed, the output table changes appropriately to reflect his current growth rates. In order to be able to instantly tell which growths have been modified and in what way, growth rates that have been increased are colored green, while growth rates that have been decreased are colored red. Additionally, you are able to view the bonus modifiers granted by each individual scroll by simply having your mouse cursor hover above it. That way, there's no need to remember the exact bonuses granted by each scroll when planning your strategy. If the user wishes to view a summary of the exact bonuses on any particular stat, he can again hover his mouse over the corresponding cell of the output table. Finally, if a growth rate becomes negative due to the effect of crusader scrolls, the calculator treats it as zero (please see: http://old.serenesforest.net/general/growth.html for details). This is shown below for Marty's Mag when he's equipped with the Noba scroll. Chances to Cap: The second part of the output details the character's likelihood to cap each of his respective stats. This is similar to the "Chance to Cap" data listed in the Path of Radiance section of serenesforest (see: http://serenesforest.net/path-of-radiance/characters/chance-to-cap/). Furthermore, as far as I'm aware, no such data are currently listed for Thracia 776, so this calculator might as well provide you with a fast way for computing those. What's more, these chances will automatically change as you change the equipped scrolls. Notice that since we're capable of instantly tracking how the "chances to cap" change for each stat, it is somewhat easier to determine which combination will benefit your units most (based on what scrolls you possess and what you aim to do). Average stats: The last part of the output consists of a series of tables containing estimates for the character's average stats, for a specified set of crusader scrolls. Of course, the very first row contains the selected character's base stats. Stats that have reached their respective caps, will be distinguished by flashing like this: Similarly to the previous tables, the average stats tables are also updated everytime you either select a different character or change scrolls in the inventory. For a different set of scrolls, Marty's predicted average stats become: Promotion gains can also be viewed instantly by hovering your mouse above a cell containing a stat name for each promotion (starting class is excluded). The next image shows this for Marty's Str when promoting to a Warrior. Of course, if the inventory doesn't contain any scrolls, the average stats displayed will be identical to the ones found here: http://serenesforest.net/thracia-776/characters/average-stats/ Here's an example of this using Evayle: What do you guys think? Would it be of any interest/use to the community? Any suggestions are welcome. The application can be downloaded from GitHub: https://github.com/Sharpshooter23/FE5-Growth-Rate-Calculator Feel free to play around with it or to read through its source code.

  17. Hey all, So... I like thinking about the mechanics and classes of Fire Emblem and whatnot. I love when people come up with ideas for new classes or new magic users especially. One thing I have been thinking about recently is how... Incomplete the magic of anima, and just magic in general seems in some Fire Emblem games. Obviously Fire Emblem is not an RPG like Final Fantasy or something, but it still strikes me as odd that we have an elemental magic class in Anima that only uses basically 3 elements, whereas the Affinities have at least 2 more, if not 3 depending on the game aside from Light and Dark... So I am wondering do you think the other elements could be used/useful in Fire Emblem? FEif appears to have someone casting ice... But how would you like to see it? My personal idea comes from the 8 elements seen in Path of Radiance... Light/Dark/Anima could still make the greater magic triangle, but then Anima could still have a triangle within itself... Perhaps Light and Dark could be developed into that as well... But anyways, I can see the Anima or Elemental magic as being either two separate but interactive/overlapping magic types... Or if the Anima triangle had separate ranks for each of the three types... Perhaps the one other element could pair with it? But anyways, here is the basic idea. -another form of magic triangle? Wind > Thunder > Fire > Wind... Water > Ice > Earth > Water Earth grounds Thunder, Water puts out Fire, Ice blocks Wind Thunder electrifies Water, Fire melts Ice, Wind stirs up Earth Thunder and Ice are neutral... Fire and Earth are neutral... Wind and Water are neutral as well... ...this idea could do with some tweaking, maybe a visual aid to demonstrate/make it clearer... But what do you guys think? Or are there any ideas for Magic in Fire Emblem you yourselves would like to see?
  18. Hi! I'm new to Serenes Forest, and this is My first thread (or whatever it's called) on a forum. So If I look like I don't know what I'm doing, chances are, I don't know what I'm doing. Oh, and here are some sprites I made. Feel free to leave your feedback. -Edit- I redid the return on the princess.

My apologies if this is still too wordy... we'll work on that. ;) EDIT: voting thread is up! Go vote!
  21. So I got this game for my birthday last year, Path of Radiance, and I just now got around to playing it. I've gotta say, compared to Awakening, the access to Convoy and Supports come fairly late in this game, I like the fact XP can be... Given at times and the game itself is really well made. The mechanics are fun, as well. Really interesting. (I can also see why there's so much shipping of Ike and Elincia) But, you know, I've been wondering. Are Marth and Roy in this game?
  22. Here's my custom sprites. I need your help , make your custom female mugs then post it here . ^-^ Thanks.
  23. Hi, everyone! This is a playthrough I thought up while suffering from insomnia last night. Basically, I am ONLY allowed to use SpotPass Bonus Box characters*. As some may know, these units CAN NOT support with any unit, but they are essentially Avatars in that they can reclass into any class not excluded by gender. If this sounds interesting to you, read on! If not, do as you will. I can't force you. Just please no hate comments or anything stupid. So, without further ado.... The Rules: 1) I may only use SpotPass bonus box characters. Those characters must be acquired according to the units I recruit. For example, when I acquire Virion, I must then get an Archer. If it is a Prepromote (Fredrick) I may recruit a unit that PROMOTES INTO that class (A Knight or Cavalier in Freddy's case.) *Exceptions: - I may use Chrom, Female MU (Janet, a play on my screen name, Joth) and their offspring (Morgan and Lucina) so that Janet has enough "invisible ties" to not die at the end and crush our hearts :,( - If the unit's class is either entirely unavailable to me (Like Tanguels) or not available for a long time (Manaketes) I may substitute that unit for a future non-SpotPass unit (Like Donnel) or another Spot Pass unit that I am in need of. 2) I may reclass the units as I see for for skills, BUT they must end the game as a promoted version of their base class. No exceptions. Yes, there are only two rules. I don't like rules. Goals for Normal Units: Chrom: Support/Offensive Great Lord -Aether -RK -DS+ -DG+ -Aegis Janet is going to be used more than Chrom most likely, so I made him mainly support. Janet (+Res -Str): Offensive Sorceress -Armsthrift -Hit+20 -Lifetaker -Tomebreaker -Galeforce Pretty self-explanitory. Hit+20 because hit for Dark Magic sucks. I'll be mainly using Forged Ruin, Mire, and to a lesser extent Nosferatu and Thoron. I need to hit hard, because Sorcerers aren't too fast. Morgan M: Defensive Sorcerer -Armsthrift -RK -Vantage -Pavise? -Aegis?/Galeforce A defensive Sorcerer doesn't care too much about Galeforce, but it's always nice to inherit just in case. Pretty standard, Nostank and Miresnipe all day. Lucy: Offensive GL -Aether -RK -Lifetaker -Tomebreaker/Ignis Ignis might be good since she will probably build up some good Mag as a Dark Knight and some as Grandmaster should she decide to grab it, Tomebreaker otherwise. Reader Involvement: If I need advice on any aspect of the game, or can't decide which SpotPass character to snag, I'll open it up to you and take any well thought-out contribution you make into consideration. I need you to keep this thread alive! That's all I'm gonna put in this post, because it's just far too long and I don't know how to do Spoilers. I'll update as soon as I get to where I can actually use Wireless, and slowly pick away at a few of the replacement characters (Fredstomping, ahoy!) Sorry again for the freaking WALL O' TEXT! ~Joth
  24. I'm thinking of having Donny equip Sol. (The Sword) With Armsthrift, I believe it's a rather good choice. Donny doesn't have THAT many useful skills, anyways? But, since I already have him equip Sol, The Skill, will the chance for the Skill to activate double?
