Hi, I was wondering, since I've been told that Beastbane doubles the weapon might on beasts and horses, is that true or is it classic 3x damage? It would be a huge gap between 12 and 18, 18 and 27 and whatever Mt beaststone+ may have. If it's only 2x like in FE6 then it's quite mediocre (no more than a silver weapon for base beaststone) but if it's 3x then it's insanely good (forged +3 silver then). At the end of the day, it's still unpenalized silver Mt, but stones/runes can't be forged sadly (after all you can buy them, why wouldn't they be forgeable/boostable one way or another?) so you can't get to insane damage if it's only double damage. At least beastrune is better than guard naginata and nohrian blade because it has 9 Mt and can deal effective damage to some of the most annoying ennemy types.

Well, the wait is almost over. It's almost 10 years but Star Fox will finally be back at the end of this very week. I know the title is quite controversial but is anyone else as hyped towards the game as I am? I'm sure my enjoyment of the game will heavily depend on nostalgia but nevertheless I am really looking forward to the Arwing's ability to transform, how you will be able to quickly change your style on the fly to suit the situation, as well as being able to infiltrate ships and bases. I loved that stuff in Star Fox 2 so I am confident that it will feel that much better in this game. It really looks like the game is basically going to be everything that I could want from a Star Fox game. The only thing that dims my excitement a little is that the game has content that is locked behind a paywall. It's cool stuff but definitely not worth the 15 bucks that an Amiibo would cost. But what else is new? These days, it's not a Nintendo game without that kind of stuff. Star Fox Guard also looks very interesting. I hope it doesn't get unnecessary crap because of Slippy's infamy... or the infamy of a certain horror game franchise, as the case may be. But I am a little worried about it since I was never any good at Tower Defense games.

So, last night, I went to go see the new Fantastic Four movie with my uncle. It was sort of impromptu, he just offered to see a movie and I picked Fantastic Four because my uncle is a good guy to have a critical discussion with. See, I'd intended to see it with my father instead, so opening week I checked the reviews and found it averaged roughly six out of ten or so. Skip forward a bit, my uncle asks what movie I want to see, and when I answered Fantastic Four, he checked the reviews to find...8% on rotten tomatoes, and 2.7 on...metacritic I want to say. Because bad movies are always fun to talk about, we went anyway, and found that, counting us, there were maybe 15 people in the theater. So, we sat down to watch the movie...and it was actually pretty good. We walked out feeling pretty satisfied, really, but looking up the movie a second time found that it had dropped almost 80% after opening weekend. I mean, don't get me wrong, it has it's problems. It's not a perfect movie, I wouldn't even go so far as to call it a great movie, but a bad movie? A terrible movie? A less than one out of ten movie? Not in the slightest. And my uncle agreed, he doesn't get why people think this movie is so bad either. And it can't be just because of Michael Basketball Jordan, there's no way simply changing a character's race could generate as much universal hate as this movie has been getting. So, world, tell me, what do you think of this movie? And why do people think it's that bad?

If anyone wants to start a franchise discussion feel free to. I just thought I'd start up the FE one, because this site obviously needs it, and then my most wanted newcomer hails from none other than Star Fox. Who's returning: Fox, Falco, Wolf (probably) I don't doubt for a second Fox and Falco will return. I'm hoping they'll be further differentiated. Wolf is a different story, however. I don't think it's likely that he will be cut, but it's possible. If he makes it back, I think he too will both be further differentiated from Fox. Who's making it in? Krystal (possibly) As much as I want her, it's really 50/50. She's got the credentials. She's popular, she's got moveset potential, and that's all a character really needs for candidacy. It's just weather or not Sakurai picks her, and I'm hoping he does. The only other legitimate choice I see besides Krystal would be Slippy. Feel free to discuss any Characters from Star Fox here.
