Every time i try to patch a working Japanese FE4 ROM it seems like it works, but when i try to load the patched file it no longer works. any advice would be helpful, thanks.. (or just link me a recently patched ROM that would be cool too)

So, I'm new to the site... not at all new to the games. I've been playing since I was born. I started with 7 and have now made my way through the entire series except for Thracia 776 (for the love of God please link me a working patch). Okay, introductory note aside, I've been doing some thinking. Recently I was listening to Echoes's amazing soundtrack. When I reached the song 'Prince of Darkness', something hit me... So, we know that Fire Emblems 1/11, 2/Echoes, 3/12, 4, 5, and 13 are all part of the Archanea Timeline. So, certain demons and monsters such as both Loptyr and Duma exist in the same world. Julius was always referred to as the Dark Prince, while Berkut was referred to (through the soundtrack) as the Prince of Darkness. Let's also not forget that when Julius was killed in Genealogy, he morphed into a dragon before he finally bit the dust. So, and I mean to say this is just a thought, is it possible that Duma (having taken the form of a dragon before) is the same Loptyr that Jugdral came to fear? They even both utilize similar fighters on the final levels in their respective games: the Deadlords and the Duma Faithful. Along with that, we learn in Genealogy that Loptyr once ruled some sort of Dark Empire, sounding extremely similar to the land Duma was ruled with an iron fist. I'm not saying this has to be the truth, but please use your complete knowledge of the series and really get some good insight into the evidence that supports this. If anybody has some other evidence supporting it or something to put it down, please make a post. Seeya fellahs! -
So, that's it. The other day I was asking help to start FE4( I finished, and loved it) and now I want it for FE5. First of all, what's the best translation for FE5? And where can I get it? I am asking this because I played FE4 and it wasn't project Naga...ended up with a untranslated ending and bad translated weapon names. Any tips for someone who just beat Geneology of the Holy war to get into this game? I have read a lot about it already, the inifinite range staffs are scaring me... Anyway, I have already beaten Radiant Dawn, wich is probably the most complex game of the series( and probably the second hardest, Thracia 776 considered the first one), so I am not too scared. Any tips to get into, what should I do, when should I save, what I should NEVER do, would be apreciated.

I've been interested in FE4 for a long time. I've always wanted to do a LP on it, but with the mechanics introduced into the game, I feel I would need some guidance. Due to this, I feel I would play FE4, but with the new ROM Hack version of it and bring a Co-Commentator on for the journey. To be a Co-Commentator for this LP though, I need someone who has a decent understanding of the story, gameplay mechanics, and the characters as well. Once I've found a Co-Commentator for this, I'll begin the LP of it. I'll be waiting!

Well, I'm going to catch some hate for this, but I find Geneology of the Holy War highly overrated. The majority of your units in the first gen(I quit at chapter 7 due to boredom) suck. Lex and Arden are both downright useless. The battle saves are easily abused. Arvis kills Sigurd for literally no reason other than to gloat. The chapters take WAY too freaking long. There is NO WAY to restart a chapter if you need too, if you battle saved over your save file. Something the game does not warn you about. There is way too much incest in this highly overrated game. And its plot is just as far fatched as Awakenings. That last bit will bring on the majority of the hate, but its the truth. Explain to me why, Quan, Ethlyn, and Finn stay in Silesse with Sigurd for a whole year before going to get reinforments, why Arvis wasn't hidden away like Deirdre, any many other small things.
