  1. Haven't summoned for June yet, but I figured I'll get this out of the way now. With eight L/M heroes this month, the predictions are getting much easier to make. LEGENDARIES/MYTHICS: The following are confirmed based on the notifications: Legendary Marth Fjorm Legendary Azura Legendary Hector Legendary Lyn Eir Legendary Alm New Mythic Hero (unknown color and type) SEASONALS: The Hot Springs heroes should be wrapping up, as we move into the Greil's Devoted Valentine heroes. This should be rather easy to predict, barring the toss up between Greil and Mist. HS Elise - Extremely high odds, rounding out the HS banner HS Ryoma - Extremely high odds, rounding out the HS banner Valentine Ike - Extremely low odds, Elise should be appearing first for red. Valentine Mist - Very good odds, it's between her and her dad for the green slot. I say she has better odds than Greil since Legendary Hector will appear this month, and Gunnthra the following. Putting Mist with Hector and Greil with Gunnthra diversifies the green pool's units. Valentine Greil - Decent odds, see Mist Valentine Soren - Extremely low odds, Ryoma should be appearing first for blue. REGULAR 5★ HEROES: As the pool of L/M heroes increases to a whopping 8 and the seasonals don't decrease, there's barely any room for other heroes. Judging by some of the recent banners having many newer units, I think that they're slowly phasing out the idea of putting most new units in L/M banners. To make up for this, it seems that they have or will appear on other banners, which is (usually) technically better if you want to pull for them specifically anyway. As such, from here on, unless there's a major change to the banners, this section will be much smaller since there's less to expect. Reds - No room for anybody. Greens - No room for anybody. Blues - No room for anybody. Caineghis - Very good odds, as I really don't expect any other group to have space, and he's next in line. Colorless Rerun - Low odds, Caineghis is lined up pretty well. I could see some late Book II era colorless units like Mikoto appearing again if they wanted to pad it out, but with Tiki and Corrin as extra options down the road, I don't think it would be necessary. MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above. Legendary Marth HS Elise New Mythic Hero - Lyon/Fomortiis (Armor Beast, Dark/Def) Legendary Hector Legendary Lyn Valentine Mist Fjorm Legendary Azura HS Ryoma Eir Legendary Alm Caineghis WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? Can be any color and element, though there's a very strong chance it's red given that we only have one red legendary returning. Given how red is associated with dark tomes and breaths, I am expecting a red dragon or tome user, probably Dark type cuz why not. Medeus: At the moment, this seems like the most likely, even though I listed Lyon above for funsies. Red dragon, probably armored. Julius (Loptous): I dunno if this is even on their radar, but I like the idea of a super version of Julius that is even more dangerous than his normal version. I mean, if Berkut can get a powered up alt, maybe Julius can too. Who knows. Lyon (Fomortiis): Perhaps the only Mythic that would make sense as a beast unit, Lyon transforming into the Demon King would be an interesting choice. I put it into my prediction just because I felt like he would be more interesting than Medeus. Anankos: Unlike Medeus, I could see him being a different color, so perhaps they won't Others: Beats me. I dunno if characters like Athos, Nergal, Ashnard (juiced up), or Deghinsea would qualify as Mythics, even though I would definitely expect them as red units. FUTURE ANALYSIS: August: Ike, Roy, Gunnthra, Naga, Tiki, Duma, Robin, New Legendary (unknown color but probably green - my money's on Corrin as a green dragon) September: Eliwood, Eirika, Hrid, Ephraim, Yune, New Mythic (unknown color) October: Ryoma, Lucina, New Legendary (unknown color) As stated above, I think normal 5★ units are slowly being phased out of these banners for the most part, and instead will more likely appear in regular banners for things like VG, Tempest, skill banners, etc. Eight L/M heroes seems like it might be the limit for now, but I am more than willing to consider they might shake up the way they do these banners. 2. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- May was a crap banner for me, so moving on! LEGENDARIES/MYTHICS: The following are confirmed based on the notifications: Legendary Ryoma Legendary Ephraim Legendary Lucina Gunnthra Yune Legendary Robin New Legendary Hero (unknown color and type) SEASONALS: We're still a bit backed up with reds, but we should be moving into the Hot Springs heroes. NY Hrid - Extremely high odds, last unit from the NY banner. HS Elise - Extremely low odds, preceded by Hrid. HS Ryoma - Good odds, next blue in line. It's basically between him and Hinoka for the 3rd seasonal slot. HS Hinoka - Fairly good odds, next green in line. It's basically between her and Ryoma for the 3rd seasonal slot. I might say she has a slightly better chance since there are two greens coming in from the Valentine's banner. HS Sakura - Very good odds, next colorless in line, and colorless has few possibilities from the regular pool. REGULAR 5★ HEROES: Sticking to the assumption that it's staying 12 for at least May, red is backed up pretty bad. Adrift Camilla - Very low odds, rounding out the Adrift banner, but there probably won't be room. Unless they bump up the number of units on the banner overall, not much room to get to her in. Owain - Very low odds., see Camilla. If there's any room, I think it'd between him and Camilla. Tibarn - Extremely low odds, Camilla and Owain should be appearing before him. He might take a while to show. Other Reds down the road - Keaton, Idunn, Lethe, etc will probably be a long time coming unless they start skipping people or altering the way they do these banners. Brave Roy - Extremely low odds. No room, and they don't seem to want to put him in these banners. Brave Celica - Extremely low odds. No room, and my impression is that they're going to give her the Roy treatment and never run her again. Kaden - Low odds. Next green in line. Very curious that he was skipped over for both Sue and Lugh though. Ranulf - Low odds, but possible if they're straight up skipping Kaden again. Not a lot of room in green though since we have Gunnthra and Yune already appearing. Brave Ike - Decent odds, assuming they really intend to keep bringing back CYL1 units. Note that him and Brave Ephraim are the only possible axe users for a while, meaning they may have a chance to get some weapon diversity. Brave Ephraim - Decent odds. No other possible green armors lined up until Greil, which might be worth noting if you consider movement type diversity to be something they factor when making these banners. Ylgr - Good odds, the sole remaining Book II hero. Yet, her being skipped in May is odd since she didn't have a banner appearance as a conflict. edit: Given her current appearance on the TT banner, I don't think she'll appear. Some speculate that this suggests she'll be skipped over entirely from these banners, barring a random placement down the road, which might be the case. Selkie - Good odds, she's the next blue in line. We actually don't have any other non-seasonal blues waiting to debut until Berkut. Brave Lucina - Low odds, I'd expect Selkie first, unless they intend to save her to extend the shallow blue pool. Brave Veronica - Good odds, there's a limited amount of colorless to pick from. Caineghis - Low odds, if only because it might be too soon. It's basically between him and Veronica since there aren't any colorless until we get to the recent Corrin and Tiki. MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above. Legendary Ryoma NY Hrid New Legendary Hero - Seliph (sword infantry, Wind/Pair Up) Gunnthra Yune HS Hinoka Legendary Ephraim Legendary Lucina Selkie Legendary Robin HS Sakura Brave Veronica WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? Can be any color and element, though there's a very strong chance it's red given that we only have one red legendary returning. As per usual when it's red, there are countless possibilities. Based on the pattern of seasons, I suspect that it'll be a Wind hero. Seliph: Genealogy/Thracia have had no representation thus far, so it seems to me that we're overdue for someone. I'm not sure there's any particular element associated with Seliph beyond Light, but that hardly matters. I might just be expecting him at this point simply because @Othin threw the idea out there. Leif: Similar to Seliph, but seems lower profile than him. To be fair, though, I haven't played Thracia and I know little about Leif. Sigurd: A lot of the same logic for Seliph applies to Sigurd, though if it's Wind, I don't think he'd be it, since we already have a Wind sword cavalry. Assuming Eliwood would be Fire sword cav, I guess Sigurd would be round out that move/weapon type for Earth (which we just got). Of course, there's no rule that says we can't get multiple heroes of the same element, weapon, and movement type (see Roy and Marth), but I think it's something they'll generally avoid doing when possible. Celica: Since Alm is in, Celica will inevitably show up as well. I do anticipate that they would make her Earth and red so she'd pair well with Alm, and I wouldn't rule out giving her the missing Earth/Res. So, it's possible, but seems unlikely to me for this month since we just got Alm/Earth. Eliwood: Rounding out the trio, but who knows when. Surely he'll be a Fire hero, so it's possible we'll see him this soon. XANDER: Seems inevitable that he'll show up someday, but I could see him being an axe user, which we have few of among Legendaries, so probably not this time. Chrom: If it's red + Wind, Chrom could have synergy on a team with Lucina, though again there's part of me that suspects they might have alternate weapon ideas for Chrom Others: While characters like Lilina and Elincia are possible red units, I'd suspect that they would have them using alternate weapons to keep from there being too many reds. Those two are also possible healers, though, and colorless is the next most likely color after red. FUTURE ANALYSIS: July: Marth, Fjorm, Azura, Hector, Lyn, Eir, Alm, New Mythic (unknown color but probably red) August: Ike, Roy, Naga, Tiki, Duma, New Legendary (unknown color but probably green) September: Eirika, Hrid, New Mythic (unknown color) Again, special thanks to @Othin for helping contribute. I was especially busy this past week and her input saved me a lot of time, while also providing some interesting predictions of her own. June brings us to 7 L/Ms, and July to 8. While I did anticipate the idea of them increasing the total number of heroes in April, I suspect that it could potentially happen this summer. This is the 13th thread I've done on these banners, we've got over a year's worth of threads going. Neat! Previous threads:
  3. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is going to be a big banner for a lot of people, since it'll be the first chance to get an Astra hero. I myself will have saved up like 900 orbs or so, having largely passed on other banners since the February cavalry Roy banner. LEGENDARIES/MYTHICS: The following are confirmed based on the notifications: Legendary Eirika Hrid Legendary Tiki Legendary Lyn Duma New Mythic Hero (Unknown color, Astra type) Since this month should be 6 heroes and they didn't increase it for April, I suspect we'll see 12 heroes total again. SEASONALS: Moving on to the NY heroes, we're a bit backed up with reds. There's been very little room thanks to Roy's repeat appearance in April, and with there being both Hrid and Gunnthra as sword users, I think they're going to be making room for reds for a while. NY Gunnthra - Good odds, between him and NY Hrid for the red slot. With both to get through, one of them is sure to appear. NY Hrid - Good odds, shared with Gunnthra, though I feel like they won't put him on the same banner as his normal self though. NY Fjorm - Very good odds, next green in line. NY Laevatein - Very good odds, next colorless in line. HS Elise - Extremely low odds, they've gotta get through Hrid and Gunnthra first. HS Ryoma - Low odds, he's the next blue seasonal in line. I think there's not going to be enough space though and they want to save him for his diversity. HS Hinoka - Very low odds, preceded by Fjorm. The only thing I could see shaking that up is if they decided that they didn't want two green archers on the banner. HS Sakura - Very low odds, preceded by Laevatein. REGULAR 5★ HEROES: Sticking to the assumption that it's staying 12 for at least May, red is backed up pretty bad. Adrift Camilla - Very low odds, rounding out the Adrift banner, but there probably won't be room. Lots of red seasonals to get through and unless they bump up the number of units on the banner overall, not really much room to get to her. Owain - Very low odds., see Camilla. If there's any room, I think it'd between him and Camilla. Tibarn - Extremely low odds, Camilla and Owain should be appearing before him. He might take a while to show. Brave Roy - Extremely low odds. No room, and they don't seem to want to put him in these banners. Brave Celica - Extremely low odds. No room, and my impression is that they're going to give her the Roy treatment and never run her again. Kaden - Good odds. Next green in line. Curious that he was skipped over for Sue though. Lugh - Low odds, I think the thing with Sue was a unique occurrence and not a sign that Kaden is being skipped. Brave Ike - Decent odds, I figure they would have run him in April were it not for the Golden Week Hero Fests. Ylgr - Very good odds, the sole remaining Book II hero. She was very likely skipped in April due to her VG appearance. Selkie - Good odds, she's the next blue in line. We actually don't have any other non-seasonal blues waiting to debut after her since Thea and Mordecai both demoted. Brave Lucina - Low odds, unless there's no blue mythic I'd expect Selkie first, unless they intend to save her to extend the shallow blue pool. Brave Hector - Low odds, see Lucina. Brave Veronica - Decent odds, there's a limited amount of colorless to pick from. I'm also inclined to think we won't see another colorless Mythic since that'd be 3 out of the 4. She's the same unit type as MY Laevatein though, which I think might hurt her chances. Velouria - Good odds Next colorless in line, and the only colorless after her is Caineghis, which is likely far too soon (but then there are no hard rules). MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above. Legendary Eirika Legendary Hrid NY Gunnthra Legendary Lyn NY Fjorm Brave Ike Legendary Tiki Ylgr New Mythic Hero - Ashera (blue tome) Duma NY Laevatein Velouria WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? First Astra Mythic hero, no known color, though I suspect it won't be red or colorless since red is packed and colorless has been done to death for Mythics. Blue may be a strong contender since green has many more units to get through. Anyway, their stat boost is almost certainly going to be +Def. Mila: Appearing as a counter to Duma, this would make sense, as it would mean they are in direct conflict regularly. I dunno if they wanna add yet another Echoes character so soon though, but of course there's nothing saying they won't. Flexible color since she's a dragon. Ashera: A potential blue (Light) tome user, the Heaven affinity is analogous to Astra, so that much adds up. However, if she does appear as Astra, it wouldn't contrast Yune's Dark type, which I suspect they intend to do thematically. Naga: I'd sooner suspect they'll save her for Light, but Astra would work too, cuz there are no hard rules. Lewyn (Forseti): The more I think about it, this is one I really hope they do at some point. Green tome user, and could pass as Astra. I think they'd add someone who's more openly a god first though, so maybe not now. FUTURE ANALYSIS: June: Ryoma, Gunnthrá, Yune, Ephraim, Lucina, Robin, New Legendary (unknown color) July: Ike, Marth, Fjorm, Azura, Hector, Eir, Alm, New Mythic (unknown color) June brings us to 7 L/Ms, and July to 8. While I did anticipate a bit too soon the idea of them increasing the total number of heroes in April, I suspect that it may happen this summer. With CYLs 1&2 making a special return for Golden Week, it's no surprise that we didn't have any CYL heroes at all for April. I do suspect they'll return again in May and beyond, though the reduced number of available slots will complicate things. @Othin speculates June's hero will be red (due to there being only one now) and July's being green (due to being fewer than all other colors). I agree with this prediction and it will affect my thinking for those months. Special thanks to @TheTuckingFypo and @Othin for collecting some of the info for me and providing some good insight for this month's thread Previous threads:
  4. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Haven't even summoned on the March banner yet, but I'm not gonna drop a lot of orbs myself. Instead, I'm much more interested in what will probably be a major change to these banners going forward. I've included a poll this time to address the elephant in the room about the possible number of units appearing on future banners. LEGENDARIES/MYTHICS: The following are confirmed based on the notifications: Legendary Ike Legendary Marth Legendary Roy Fjorm Legendary Hector New Legendary Hero 6 Legendaries total! Getting 5 only a few months ago was a nice surprise, but increasing to 6 has some implications, primarily if the number of total heroes will increase from 12 to 16 to accommodate this. Furthermore, June has 6 returning L/M heroes, suggesting we'll see 7 total, furthering the possibility that the pool will be further increased. If not, then it certainly bodes well for people who want to pull Legendaries and Mythics exclusively. SEASONALS: Halloween seasonals are wrapped up, moving on to the Winter and NY heroes, though it might be as simple as putting the three from Winter in there. Note that while I do suspect an increase from 12 to 16 total heroes on the banner is very possible, I would be surprised if they increased the number of seasonals from 3 to 4. Winter Fae - Decent odds. However, being a Vengeful Fighter green armor on the same banner as Legendary Hector suggests to me that they might hold off on her til the following month. Winter Ephraim - Extremely good odds, next blue seasonal Winter Eirika - Extremely good odds, next colorless seasonal NY Gunnthra - Extremely low odds, while her and Hrid are the only reds in line til the Hot Springs banner, there might not even be a slot for non-Legendaries this month. It also seems to me that such a slot would be taken by Owain or Camilla, to round out their banners. NY Hrid - Extremely low odds, see Gunnthra NY Fjorm - Decent odds, preceded by Fae, but without the conflict of being too similar to Legendary Hector. Of all the NY heroes, she has the best shot. NY Laevatein - Extremely low odds, preceded by Eirika REGULAR 5★ HEROES: Here's where the 12 to 16 possibility gets crazy, especially in regard to red heroes. If there's no increase, red will have no heroes that aren't Legendary Smash boys. Adrift Camilla - Decent odds, rounding out the Adrift banner, but dependent on whether or not there's room for more reds. If there are 16 heroes, she'll probably get that 4th red spot. Owain - Very low odds. He'd probably be skipped for Camilla since recent Hero Fest characters appeared after Adrift heroes, and putting 4 sword infantry heroes in the same color for these banners is silly. Tibarn - Extremely low odds, Camilla and Owain should be appearing before him. He might take a while to show due to there being the 3 red Legendaries, and have the NY heroes to get through as well. Brave Roy - Zero chance, there's no room and they didn't seem to want to rerun him in the past either. Olwen (green tome) - Very low odds, she's been skipped so many times that it doesn't look good for her. However, she's one of few greens available unless they skip to Kaden or bring someone back. I will probably stop including her on this list after this month. Kaden - Low odds. Next green in line, but seems rather recent. I should go through the banner dates sometime to see what the shortest time between debut and Legendary banner has been. Brave Ike - Very good odds. Brave Lyn's return shows they're not afraid to bring back CYL1 units, and Ike is a perennial favorite. Green is also very low on possible heroes, which helps his chances above Lucina or Roy. Brave Ephraim - Very low odds, putting him the same banner as Legendary Hector is something I can't see them ever doing. Other Green repeats - Off the top of my head, not sure who they'd use other than Kana, Helbindi, or Nino, both being a bit... early? I dunno, but I wouldn't be totally surprised to see a hero from a previous Legendary banner pop up to buy time for Kaden. Ylgr - Extremely good odds, the sole remaining Book II hero. Until March, they had been releasing one a month, so one could argue she's overdue. Quan - Very low odds, he's been skipped so many times already. Same deal as Olwen, I'll probably stop bringing him up after this month. Nailah - Decent odds given the other possibilities and limited spaces for blues, but really only makes sense if they have a 16 person banner. Brave Lucina - Low odds, I think they'll only bring back one CYL1 hero at a time and things look better for Ike this month due to the lack of greens. Brave Hector - Very low odds, Winter Ephraim is practically a lock and they're extremely similar in role. Note that May's banner will have Tiki, another Bold Fighter blue armor, so I think he'd appear after that. Brave Veronica - Very good odds, the other CYL2 units have conflicts (Hector and Ephraim) or are too soon (Celica). Leanne - Decent odds, unless they wanna rerun older units, but I kinda think they'd only do that when they run out of 5*s to pick from. I think Veronica will take priority, but I'd say on a 16 person banner, she's in. MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above. Note that I've listed 16 heroes, 4 of which are not bolded but are in brackets-- these are heroes I suspect would appear if the banner increases to 16 units. Otherwise, just the standard bolded heroes. Legendary Ike Legendary Marth Legendary Roy [Adrift Camilla] Legendary Hector NY Fjorm Brave Ike [Uh... Kana?] Fjorm Winter Ephraim Ylgr [Nailah] New Legendary Hero (Micaiah with a staff, Earth/lightningboltboostthing) Winter Eirika Brave Veronica [Leanne] WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? This hero will be our 16th Legendary, rounding out the 4th wave of Legendaries by element, with only Earth remaining. Barring a repeat on older stat boosts, this only leaves Res and the new lightning bolt thing that Roy has, but given that they pointed out that this effect will have a new feature in April, it stands to reason that this hero will likely have it as well. Micaiah: With Yune as her own Dark hero, Micaiah's chances of appearing as a standard Legendary improves. While her own affinity in RD is Dark, there's nothing stopping them from arbitrarily assigning her Earth like with Grima (take your pick of explanations for this). As a fun bonus, Ike and Micaiah could work well together on an Earth based team, which is neat. More importantly, however, Micaiah does have access to staves, making a powerful healing skill like Ashera Staff a possibility. I should also remind everyone that we have seen back-to-back heroes from the same game before (Marth & TIki). Celica: Another potential staff user. Aligning her with Earth makes sense given that Mila is associated with Earth (in the agricultural sense, unlike angry Earth Dragons like Medeus). However, it's also possible they could be saving her for Fire and/or a red tome, due to her Ragnarok spell. Julia: I'm not sure if Genelogy would get representation from anyone who isn't Sigurd or Seliph, but Julia's certainly a contender. If you consider that the number of potential female Legendaries might be running a bit low owing to how many main characters are male, I would say she actually stands a chance as a staff user. The Earth part is arbitrary, of course, and also assumes they never do something like possessed-by-Naga Julia as a Mythic hero. Who knows. Sephiran: Not sure I'd expect any non-OC Legendaries to debut as such, but I guess it's a possibility. Seems to me that Micaiah covers his criteria though, and it'd be shocking for him to get such a position over a main character. Alm with a Bow (but it's not red) - yeah whatever FUTURE ANALYSIS: April: Ike, Marth, Roy, Hector, Fjorm, New Colorless Legendary (Earth) May: Hríd, Eirika, Tiki, Lyn, Duma, New Mythic (unknown color, Astra) June: Ryoma, Gunnthrá, Yune, Ephraim, Lucina, Robin, New Legendary (unknown color) July: Azura, Eir, New Mythic (unknown color) June potentially having a whopping 7 L/M heroes is the biggest sign that things might be changing with these banners, and predictions may become much harder, such as when we can't determine a new hero's color-- guaranteeing slots being filled helps us predict the rest of the heroes, after all. Maybe there'll be some datamined stuff, but I'd also expect that we may even get a Feh Channel in the near future, especially since this banner should be launching during Golden Week. With all CYL2 heroes having appeared, we're at the point where they will start repeating them. Brave Lyn's appearance also suggests more CYL1 stuff, which is nice if you're a fan of those units (and statistically, you are!) 5. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Went through about 650 orbs on the February banner and I think I'm at a good stopping point, but I need to write this up in case I get tempted to keep pulling. LEGENDARIES/MYTHICS: The following are confirmed based on the notifications: Legendary Ryoma Legendary Lucina Legendary Azura Eir New Mythic Hero SEASONALS: Two dancers in January, will we see that again in February? We will see at least one, for sure. Halloween Kagero - Extremely good odds, rounding out the Halloween banner Halloween Myrrh - Extremely good odds, rounding out the Halloween banner Halloween Mia - Extremely good odds, rounding out the Halloween banner Winter Heroes (Fae, Ephraim, Eirika) - Very unlikely given that the Halloween units should be wrapping up this month. They could throw us a curveball, but I wouldn't count on it. REGULAR 5★ HEROES: Not a lot of heroes to pick from this month, it's mostly down to a few stand-outs Brave Celica - Decent odds, being the last CYL2 unit to appear. Yet, considering how Roy only appeared once last year, I am beginning to suspect that they don't like fielding Galeforce users when they can avoid it. Owain - Decent odds, there was Hero Fest but he's also the next in line among regular reds. I feel like it's a toss-up between him and Camilla, with his Hero Fest appearance hurting his chances. Adrift Camilla - Good odds, rounding out the Adrift banner. Tibarn - Extremely low odds, Camilla should be appearing before him. He might take a while to show since we're looking at 3 red Legendaries in April, and have the NY heroes to get through as well. Olwen (green tome) - Decent odds, as she's been skipping repeatedly. However, compared to the alternatives who are far more desirable, I wouldn't rule her out to be the "dud" of an already stacked color Lewyn - Decent odds, but his Hero Fest appearance might hurt his chances. He's also got a much better selection of skills compared to Olwen Brave Ephraim - Low odds, putting him the same banner as Halloween Kagero seems pretty unlikely given what powerful armor skills they both bring. Still, Ylgr - Very high odds, following Surtr as the sole remaining Book II hero. That trend alone really helps her chances. Quan - Very low odds, he's been skipped before and I doubt that's going to change anytime soon. Ophelia - Low odds, if you consider that the recent Hero Fest characters have been largely skipped. Maybe in the future though. Nailah - Extremely low odds given the other possibilities and limited spaces for blues, but she should be showing up down the road. Brave Veronica - Decent odds, there's really no possibilities beyond rerunning older units or putting Leanne in now. Given how frequently colorless units were repeated last year, I think we'll see her again quite soon. Leanne - Decent odds, unless they wanna rerun older units, but I kinda think they'd only do that when they run out of 5*s to pick from MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above and a few glasses of wine. There are a lot of units in here that I'm not super confident about, owing to the new hero being potentially any color, so I'd recommend reading everything above if you're trying to make an informed decision about saving orbs. Legendary Ryoma Halloween Myrrh Adrift Camilla New Mythic Hero - uh, I dunno, Mila Halloween Kagero Olwen (green tome) Legendary Lucina Legendary Azura Ylgr Eir Halloween Mia Brave Veronica WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? We won't know the hero's blessing, but it's really between Astra and Dark types. Make of that what you will. The green color suggests to me a Divine Dragon (going, perhaps arbitrarily, from Fae and the Naga tome being green), though I suppose a green mage could suffice as well. Can't think of any godly axe users other than Haar. Side note, I'm beginning to suspect that Dark/Anima heroes will more frequently be villain characters (aside from the obvious "dark is evil" thing) due to being the AR Defense units, meaning there's a gameplay incentive to thematically build your awful AR team with major villains. Mila: As Duma's counterpart, Mila could appear as an Astra hero, ensuring that many players would see them clash in game. Neat! Idunn: Among possible Dark heroes, she's a contender if you accept her Divine Dragon origin as a green thing. There's a case for her to be red or colorless instead, though. Naga: Of all the Divine Dragons, she's the Diviniest, but I can't see her being anything other than Light, so I don't think this is her time Ashera: Potentially an Astra hero, as Astra is effectively the Heaven affinity, though I'm inclined to think she'd be a blue tome or staff user, so maybe not this time Lewyn: Possessed by Forseti, the older version of Lewyn would be pretty neat and probably the only Mythic green tome unless they did possessed Julia or something. Arguable that he should be a Wind Legendary, but then we only have so many "god-like" characters for Mythic status, so I could give him a pass for Astra. Other major villains: Certainly candidates for Dark, but green? Hard to say. With dragons (Medeus and Anankos in particular) there's always a possibility of course, since there's no hard rule as to why who is what color among dragons. FUTURE ANALYSIS: March: Ryoma, Lucina, Azura, Eir, New Green Mythic April: Ike, Marth, Roy, Hector, Fjorm, New Colorless Legendary May: Hríd, Eirika, Tiki, Lyn, Duma, New Mythic (unknown color) June: Gunnthrá, Ephraim, Robin, New Legendary (unknown color) April is sure to throw us for a loop. We'll have 6 Legendary heroes, 3 of which are red, as well as an expansion of what the lightning bolt blessing effect is supposed to do (perhaps related to a new game mode). I wouldn't rule out the possibility that we'll see the Legendary banners expand to 16 units, honestly. CYL2 units haven't made a full appearance and took February off. The banners of last year taught us that there's no hard rules with these units, just that they're likely to appear more regularly than others. I suspect we'll see them used as filler when the banners are short on normal 5*s Previous threads: June 2018 Banner Expectations July 2018 Banner Expectations August 2018 Banner Expectations September 2018 Banner Expectations October 2018 Banner Expectations November 2018 Banner Expectations December 2018 Banner Expectations January 2019 Banner Expectations February 2019 Banner Expectations
  6. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ugh I typed up a whole thing and it all got lost somehow when I hit undo at one point, so I might be a bit brief this post. LEGENDARIES/MYTHICS: The following are confirmed based on the notifications: Hrid Gunnthra Legendary Ephraim Legendary Robin New Legendary Hero (unknown color) The unknown color for this hero makes predictions extra difficult SEASONALS: Two dancers in January, will we see that again in February? We will see at least one, for sure. Dancing Micaiah - Very good odds, she's probably in unless we get a red Legendary. Dancing Xander - Extremely good odds, he has no competition for his color slot. Halloween Niles - Very good odds, next in line and I think they don't see much of a reason to put him on the same banner as Lucina since they share a weapon type. Halloween Kagero - Good odds, I suspect they'll save her for next month though Halloween Myrrh - Extremely poor odds, being behind Micaiah, and red has very little room this month. Halloween Mia - Extremely poor odds, being behind Xander, who is extremely likely. REGULAR 5★ HEROES: Things are getting a little easier to predict here, as we've seen some recent trends Brave Celica - Extremely high odds, being the last CYL2 unit to appear Owain - Decent odds, there was Hero Fest but he's also the next in line among regular reds. Probably no room for him though. Adrift Camilla - Low odds, Owain should be coming first unless they feel Hero Fest was too soon. Olwen (green tome) - Very low odds, as she's been skipping repeatedly. I also don't think they'd put her on a banner with Gunnthra Surtr - Good odds. Judging by how they skipped ahead to get the Muspell Generals out there, I suspect they might do the same with Surtr/Ylgr. This banner is also probably one of the last ones for a while to not feature a variety of powerful armor units, especially those with Fighter skills, so they might get him in right away. Lewyn - Good odds, moreso if Surtr is "too soon". Hero Fest hurts his chances though. Adrift Corrin F - Lowish odds, Lewyn or Surtr will probably come first unless their conflicts delay them. Quan - Very low odds, he's been skipped before and I don't think they'll put him on the same banner as Ephraim. Ophelia - Good odds, hurt by Quan preceding her and her recent Hero Fest appearance. Ylgr - Decent odds, for similar reasons as Surtr but without the baggage of being Surtr Adrift Corrin M - Low odds. Quite a few blues to get through, but he doesn't have conflicts like the others. Mikoto - Very high odds, she's next in line among a very limited pool. Only thing in her way would be a colorless Legendary. Brave Veronica - Lowish odds, it might be too soon for a rerun of CYL2 units until after all 4 have appeared, but as the Brave Lyn of this batch, I'm sure she'll also be making more surprise reappearances throughout the year than any of the others. MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above and a few glasses of wine. There are a lot of units in here that I'm not super confident about, owing to the new hero being potentially any color, so I'd recommend reading everything above if you're trying to make an informed decision about saving orbs. Hrid Brave Celica Dancing Micaiah Gunnthra Surtr New Green Legendary - I dunno, axe cavalry Xander (fire) Legendary Ephraim Halloween Niles Ophelia Legendary Robin Dancing Xander Mikoto WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? This hero will be Legendary #15, and the 3rd of the third wave of Legendaries. They will be either Fire or Earth type, and I'm expecting Fire since January is almost certainly Earth season, while February will be Fire. Additionally, a Fire hero will be giving +Spd as their boost, so that may help narrow down the possibilities. The hardest part to predict is their color-- it could be any of the 4, leading to possibilities of unusual weapon choices. For what it's worth, we currently have 5 red, 5 blue, 3 green, and 3 colorless heroes. March and April are assured to have green and colorless as well. Roy: The popular pick. Fire and Spd certainly works for him, and Binding Blade has no representation on these banners. If he uses his sword, I expect him to be a different movement type than Infantry, to differentiate him from Marth. Eliwood: Will they round out the Blazing Blade trio? I doubt he would get such a coveted spot before Roy. Lilina: What could be our first red tome Legendary also seems unlikely before Roy. Celica: Earth or Fire both make sense, and she can be made to fit any color realistically, but will they release a SoV hero right after Duma? I suspect not, but then again we got Marth and Tiki back to back. Alm: Same as Celica Micaiah: I could see them adding her as an Earth hero, and Res certainly suits her. Many speculate she could be a Dark Mythic hero, but it's also possible that they have more than enough Dark characters to pick from. Note also that April's hero is a colorless Legendary, so if Feb is Fire, April could realistically be Earth Micaiah with a staff. Xander?!?: This is my "Alm with a red bow" pick. I do think sooner or later, he will show up and Earth or Fire suit him well enough. Camilla: kill me FUTURE ANALYSIS: March: Ryoma, Lucina, Azura, Eir, New Green Mythic April: Ike, Marth, Hector, Fjorm, New Colorless Legendary May: Eirika, Tiki, Lyn, Duma, New Mythic (unknown color) CYL2's cycle should, in theory, start over again in March. How that plays out remains to be seen, and it's certainly possible that they do what they did with CYL1 and not have any order to this-- recall that Brave Roy never returned to these banners. I anticipate Veronica returning rather regularly. 7. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alright, now that the holidays are over, I've got a moment to look at the next banner. Note that while technically it's going to be a Mythic Hero banner, for the sake of keeping this thread series recognizable, I'm keeping the name consistent. LEGENDARIES/MYTHICS: The following are confirmed based on the notifications: Legendary Ike Legendary Eirika Legendary Lyn Legendary Tiki New Colorless Mythic Hero Note that since Mythic seasons alternate in pairs every week, it's hard to anticipate what blessing they'd carry. For what it's worth, the season is likely to be Astra/Anima when this hero launches. I'll discuss which element I think it will be further below. SEASONALS: With the second year of summer heroes wrapping up, we should see at least one Hoshidan Summer hero. Recall that when the Performing Arts heroes returned, they were spread out across several banners. Will that happen again? Hard to say, but if we see a Halloween hero this month, then the answer is yes. At the end of this post is also an early prediction about seasonals in the future banners. Summer Linde - 100% happening unless they pull a Winter Lissa on us, she's the last summer hero to appear. Dancing Ryoma - Very good odds, next in line for blue seasonals. What helps his chances are that there are few blues lined up in the normal 5* pool, and that Micaiah and Xander are unlikely (see below). I'd give him higher odds, but if there's only one dancer, they may put Niles in sooner. Dancing Elincia - Very good odds. If there are two dancers on this banner, she'd probably appear before Micaiah or Xander. I suspect that even IS considers Legendary Lyn to be relatively lackluster, and Elincia would be their idea of incentivizing greens a bit more. Dancing Micaiah - Lowish odds, as we have 2 red Legendaries this month, and I strongly suspect that Laegjaen will appear to round out the Muspell generals. Dancing Xander - Extremely poor odds, given that Linde should be appearing. We almost certainly won't get two seasonals of the same color on one banner. Halloween Niles - Very low odds, mostly because I suspect Ryoma will show. However, he'd likely be the first Halloween hero to appear if they get an early start. Halloween Kagero - Extremely poor odds, not just because of Elincia, but also that Brave Ephraim will likely appear, and I doubt they'll put two amazing armored units/Fighter skills in the same slot. Halloween Myrrh - Extremely poor odds, being behind Micaiah, and red has very little room this month. Halloween Mia - 0% chance, being behind both Linde and Xander for colorless seasonals. REGULAR 5★ HEROES: Things are getting a little easier to predict here, as we've seen some recent trends Laegjarn - Very high odds. The last two banners have included Laevatein and Helbindi, so it's likely that she'll round out the Muspell generals. The only two units competing for this remaining red spot are Dancing Micaiah and Brave Celica. Brave Celica - Decent odds, though I suspect that we'll see Brave Ephraim appear this month as the CYL2 hero. I'm thinking Celica will be on February's banner instead. Owain - Lowish odds, he just appeared on a Hero Fest so I doubt it. Olwen (green tome) - Lowish odds, she's been skipped over for Nino and it's reasonable to assume (based on previous banners) that they're not coming back for her. Getting skipped is sort of a kiss of death for appearing on these banners. Brave Ephraim - Very high odds, as one of two remaining CYL2 heroes to make a debut on these banners. Also, since most other heroes in green slot are are ranged units, they probably see this as a good opportunity to put him in. Not to mention, I don't imagine they'd put him on the same banner as Hector, Kagero, or Surtr, all of whom are likely/confirmed to appear on banners for Lewyn - Low odds, but they do surprise us sometimes. He's a little lower on the list and green is looking stacked on ranged units. He also just appeared on Hero Fest, so they'll probably save him for another month. Surtr - Extremely low odds, since he's still relatively new, they'll probably give us Laegjarn and Brave Ephraim in his place. It's too early to see when he may appear, but I suspect it could be as soon as February. Quan - Good odds, he's the next blue in line. I wouldn't rule out Ophelia cutting him in line though. Probably the one unit in my predicted list that I have the least faith in appearing because they probably don't think he's flashy enough or something. Ophelia - Decent odds, hurt by Quan preceding her and her recent Hero Fest appearance. Kliff - Lowish odds, Ophelia should come first. Ylgr - Lowish odds, it'll only happen if they want her in to represent Book II heroes, but I suspect they'll save her for later. Plus, with Dancing Ryoma probably showing up, I'm hesitant to think we'd get both blue daggers. Loki - Very good odds. Next colorless in line, and the first representative from her banner. Mikoto - Low odds, Loki will probably come first. She's next in line after Loki though. MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above. Legendary Ike Legendary Eirika Laegjarn Legendary Lyn Dancing Elincia Brave Ephraim Legendary Tiki Dancing Ryoma Quan New Colorless Mythic (uh, I dunno, one of the major RD characters, endgame style) Summer Linde Loki WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? Knowing that this is a Mythic hero does help narrow down the candidates a bit, what's tricky is that we have no way of knowing which blessing type they represent. It's fair to assume that they won't be Light since they'd be extremely redundant with Eir around. I do think we'd get Dark or Anima first since that would let people use the Defensive support, and I'm inclined to say Anima since it wouldn't function the same time as Eir does-- they probably wanna spread those blessings out, or else there's less reason to pull for Anima later if you already have Light and Dark heroes. That aside, here are some random guesses/thoughts (please use spoiler tags when discussing other FE games and clearly mark them): Radiant Dawn Endgame Spoilers: Athos (Anima) - The most "mythic" Anima person I can think of, though he'd also work as a red tome user I dunno, you people figure it out. I don't know anything about Geneology, SS, or Archanea stuff Note that all of these are (probably) staff users, which is the one weapon type we don't have as a Legendary or Mythic... not counting beasts, of course. FUTURE ANALYSIS: February: Hrid, Ephraim, Gunnthra, Robin, New Legendary March: Ryoma, Lucina, Azura, Eir, New Green Mythic April: Marth, Hector, Fjorm, New Legendary Between Brave Celica and Ephraim, one should appear this month, the other will appear next month Regarding seasonals, here's my preliminary guesswork for when they'll appear down the road: Previous threads: June 2018 Banner Expectations July 2018 Banner Expectations August 2018 Banner Expectations September 2018 Banner Expectations October 2018 Banner Expectations November 2018 Banner Expectations December 2018 Banner Expectations
  8. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Holy smokes, there's so much on the horizon that it's hard to make any kind of concrete predictions. Let's look at what we can determine or wildly assume: LEGENDARIES/MYTHICS: The following are confirmed based on the notifications: Legendary Marth Legendary Hector Fjorm Eir With Hrid's banner being the first to feature 5 Legendary heroes, it is not impossible that we end up getting two new Legendary heroes. As absurd as this may sound, remember that early December will also launch Book III, and it's reasonable to think that we see at least one new OC Legendary upon its arrival (like with Fjorm). If this is the case, this hero would appear sooner than the actual banner. Perhaps we'd get a free version early and then they'd appear on the banner later in the month? As a crazy person, I speculate that this may be the case, with this hypothetical new hero appearing alongside an established mainline FE character who also gets a new Legendary version. Edit: Eir is confirmed (via notifications) to return for this banner SEASONALS: The 3 seasonal rule not only stays true, but seems to be reinforced by the notion of having 5 Legendaries, leaving the remaining 4 slots for other 5* heroes. Summer Takumi - I'm 100% certain that either he or Summer Linde will appear, but not both. Summer Linde - See above. Summer Tiki (Young) - Very good odds, next in line for red seasonals. Summer Camilla - Very good odds, next in line for blue seasonals. Hoshidan Summer Heroes - Likely still too soon. If one does make it in, it'd be Elincia, but I'd still doubt that would happen just yet. They also may do what they did with Performing Arts and spread them across multiple banners, in which case Elincia would likely appear first (next green in line) and Xander would be last (still gotta get through Takumi and Linde). REGULAR 5★ HEROES: With 5 Legendaries and 3 seasonals, we'd be getting 4 regulars. However, with CYL2 freshly added to these banners, it's probable that one of these 4 slots is assured to be a CYL2 hero for the next year. If true, this may help figure out who will appear in these slots. Also, in the latest banner, no regular heroes from previous Legendary banners appeared, suggesting that it'll be newer units from here on. Flora - High odds. Next red unit in line. Laegjarn - Decent odds. With Laevatain's jump to the front of the line, it's possible that another Muspell hero will make a similar jump. Yet, part of my thinking--too-hard-about-this brain suspects that it was a choice to give Hrid's release more characters from his source game (ridiculous theory alert). Brave Celica - Decent odds, though I suspect that if they stick to adding only one CYL2 per banner, then Veronica would likely take precedence due to the lack of colorless to use. Olwen (green tome) - Very good odds, being the next in line for greens. I also suspect that they would want to put her, a comparatively less popular unit, on a banner with Hector compared to the other possibilities. Flying Nino - Good odds, she might not have competition with Olwen this time unless there's a surprise green Legendary hero. Brave Ephraim - Very low odds, only because Olwen and Nino haven't appeared yet. Also seems really unlikely to me that they'd put him on the same banner as Legendary Hector Lewyn - Very low odds, but they do surprise us sometimes. He's pretty far down the list due to how many greens there are. Helbindi - Extremely low odds, since he's also really far down the list. It'd take a Muspell Miracle for him to make an appearance. Quan - High odds, he's the next blue in line. I figure it'd take a surprise extra blue Legendary for him to not show up, or Ophelia cutting ahead of him. Ophelia - Decent odds, hurt by Quan preceding her. Almost certainly only one spot for regular blues this season. Brave Veronica - Very good odds, as there are few colorless lined up barring seasonals. Her chances are boosted by the likelihood that older colorless won't be appearing, making her next in line. Loki - Low odds. If Veronica doesn't appear, it's likely Loki would in her place, being the next following her. Seems a little too soon though. MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above. Legendary Marth Summer Tiki Flora Legendary Hector Olwen (G) New Legendary Xander!?!? Fjorm Summer Camilla Quan Eir Brave Veronica Summer Linde WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? So many old rules and theories are out the window. What planet are we even on anymore? As I stated above, I am suspecting that we get a surprising 2 new Legendary heroes: An OC revealed at the launch of Book III, and a mainline FE character revealed for this banner as per usual. Let me throw out some absurd theories and you can all shake your head and say "what happened to you" New Colorless OC - To celebrate Book III, a la Fjorm, we get a freebie character. I suspect that this character will be a healer for the simple reason that newer players don't have many opportunities to get healers (Veronica being optional that many new players may overlook). That's really all I got, Book III could have who knows what in store. Eir, the new colorless Mythic hero, will appear on this banner. Xander - As an axe flier or cavalry, wielding Bolverk. My rationale here is based on a few things: 1) Fates is (by IS's standards) overdue for another Legendary, and it certainly won't be Camilla, Corrin, or Azura (if justice exists); 2) Green is the least populated color for Legendaries after colorless, so it seems a bit more likely, and I don't know who else would fit unless they add more wind tomes or green dragons; 3) The silly notion that they want to put new Legendaries on a banner alongside characters from the same game, as they did with Eirika and Hrid. That last point is more likely a coincidence, though they also had Legendaries to appear alongside-- if this is an actual thing, then it'd really make more sense for March when Ryoma returns, but I think IS was on too much of a Fates kick to not get him out there. Eliwood - As some kind of, I dunno, blue mage armor or something. Who knows. I'm not really putting a lot of thought into this, I just think that they might round out the Blazing Blade trio with a non-sword choice for Eliwood, and put him on the same banner as Hector (and Nino?) for funsies. Who the hell knows, make your own wacky guesses FUTURE ANALYSIS: We're in a weird spot since there's so many possibilities ahead, making it near impossible to predict what the plans are. December: Marth, Fjorm, Hector, Eir January: Ike, Eirika, Tiki, Lyn, New Mythic February: Hrid, Ephraim, Gunnthra, Robin, New Legendary March: Ryoma, Lucina, New Mythic Robin's reign of terror (or fun times, if you want her) has ended. With her not returning til February, it suggests that we may end up seeing not one, but two colorless heroes, one in December and one in January. Hrid's release is the first time we haven't had a hero match the current season, complicating predictions further (or it would be if characters' elements were something we could ascertain better). Someone @ me if there's datamining that shows a change in seasons, or further seasons revealed edit: Wind was the intended season and it's been changed accordingly Post Book III Launch Edit: Not only is Eir confirmed to return for December, but we will be getting a Mythic hero in January, Legendary in February, and alternating like that from there Previous threads: June 2018 Banner Expectations July 2018 Banner Expectations August 2018 Banner Expectations September 2018 Banner Expectations October 2018 Banner Expectations November 2018 Banner Expectations
  9. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Next month is the one year anniversary of Legendary Hero Banners, and very possible that we'll see version 3.0 debut, so there's a lot of possibilities here. Strangest of all, we're seeing (for the first time ever) 4 Legendary Heroes return, which suggests that either they're not adding a new hero, or that they're increasing the number of heroes to 5. CONFIRMABLE: The following Legendary heroes named are confirmed to return based on the notifications: Legendary Ryoma Gunnthra Legendary Lucina Legendary Robin (9 months in a row!) We aren't even sure if we're getting a new Legendary hero, let alone what color they would be. The next season will be Water, however, so if there is a new hero, they should be Water. SEASONALS: Again, we saw 3 seasonals in October, and I was surprised to see Tana over Noire, which gives us quite a few colorless to get through. Summer Noire - Extremely high odds, the first colorless seasonal in order. We have 3 colorless seasonals in waiting now, so it makes sense that they'd give us Noire since she debuted first. Summer Cordelia - High odds, first in line for blue seasonals. Summer Innes - High odds, first in line for green seasonals. Summer Takumi - Good odds. Colorless has been all over the place lately, and it wouldn't surprise me if they end up pushing him or Linde sooner to get through them a little quicker. Summer Linde - Same as Takumi. Summer Tiki (Young) - Lowish odds, first in line for red seasonals, but there are a lot of colorless units to get through, as well as Cordelia and Innes. Summer Camilla - Very Low odds, she appears after Cordelia in terms of debuts. Hoshidan Summer Heroes - Possibly too soon, hard to say. They have a lot of flexibility with them since they cover all 4 colors. The glut of colorless seasonals and lack of green/red suggests that we'd see Micaiah or Elincia first, and Xander last. REGULAR 5★ HEROES: Again, green and blue have plenty of heroes to pick from, while red and colorless are likely to end up with either repeats or CYL2 units, who are next in line. Brave Roy - Good odds. The only CYL1 hero not to make a reappearance on Legendary banners thus far (while the others have appeared 3 times each), which has been very surprising. Brave Celica - Decent odds, she's next in line after having finished the Ylisse banner. I don't think we'd get both her and Brave Roy though, due to their similar qualities and skills. Other Returning Reds - Ike (Young Mercenary), Celica (Caring Princess), Ryoma (Peerless Samurai), Seigbert, Sanaki, and Zelgius are prime examples of those who would be coming back after having appeared in the past. I'm having a hard time predicting who among these we'd get if they don't use a CYL or seasonal hero. Olwen (green tome) - Very good odds, being the next in line for greens. Only reason they wouldn't is because Gunnthra will also appear, and that would be two strong cavalry mages on green. Kana (F) - Lowish odds, being after Olwen, though has movement/weapon diversity from Gunnthra. Flying Nino - Very low odds, competing with either Olwen, Kana, or Summer Innes for a spot. Brave Ephraim - Very low odds, only because Olwen, Kana, and Nino haven't appeared yet. Lewyn - No chance, way too soon. Brave Hector - Good odds, same as Brave Celica (see above) but perhaps better since blue is a smaller pool to pick from. I'm not sure they'd put multiple CYL2 heroes on the banner though. Quan - Decent odds, he'd be after Hector, but Hector's status as CYL makes it possible that he'd get in and they save Hector for the following month. Ninian - Decent odds. Only blue from a Hero Fest banner who hasn't made an appearance, and no other dancers beyond the Hoshidan Summer heroes are lined up without repeats. Shiro - Very low odds. He was skipped over for Micaiah to make a reappearance this past month, suggesting that they don't intend to bring him back anytime soon. Hardin - Very low odds. Next after Micaiah for making reappearances if they continue on without going back for Shiro or Lute. Takumi - Good odds, he's the only colorless hero that hasn't reappeared. There are, however, quite a few colorless seasonals to get through, including his summer self. Brave Veronica - Low odds, like with Hector and Celica, but perhaps hurt by the amount of colorless seasonals and whether or not they want to bring back Takumi. I also suspect we wouldn't get too many CYL heroes as well, and Celica and Hector have better odds for sure. MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above. Legendary Ryoma Brave Roy Celica (tome) Gunnthra Kana (F) Summer Innes Legendary Lucina Summer Cordelia Brave Hector Legendary Robin Takumi Summer Noire WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? It's possible that we don't get a new hero, as we're seeing 4 returning heroes. If we do get one, we can't even predict what color they would be. Speculate away! FUTURE ANALYSIS: Based on the banner notes, we can tell what colors to expect. November: Ryoma, Lucina, Gunnthra, Robin December: Marth, Fjorm, Hector January: Ike, Eirika, Tiki, Lyn February: Ephraim Both Ike and Eirika appearing in January is a huge deal; we're getting two Legendaries of the same color on the same banner. This will make future predictions very challenging as we begin to wonder what this means for new heroes being added. We will, at least, not have to wait as long for any specific hero, which is great news. I suspect that by the time we reach the Hoshidan Summer heroes in the line-up, they will do what they did with the Performing Arts banner; add one at a time. I know we had both Inigo and Shigure, but I think that was a specific instance of them wanting to get through the greens faster. Version 3.0 may surprise us. Maybe we'll get a new OC hero who comes as a free 5* like Fjorm? Time will tell. 10. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Any luck with September's banner? I quit early myself, after deciding that future months would probably be better for me (until I change my mind randomly anyway). Let's take a look at what's coming: CONFIRMABLE: The following Legendary heroes named are confirmed to return based on the notifications: New Legendary Red Hero (Water) - See below for speculation and analysis on this hero. Legendary Lyn Legendary Ephraim Legendary Robin SEASONALS: 3 seasonal rule holds up yet again, seemingly here to stay. Spring heroes are done for now, as we move into the summer banners, which interestingly, had quite a few colorless heroes, suggesting that it's the new color we have too much of. Bridal Sanaki - Extremely high odds, rounding out the Bridal banner. Bridal Ninian - High odds, to also round out the Bridal banner, but they might surprise us given that they don't like to put multiple dancers on the banner. If that's the case and they give us Flying Olivia, we may see another Summer unit instead. Summer Noire - Very high odds, the first colorless seasonal in order. Linde and Takumi follow her on the next banner, so it makes sense that they'd want to get her out of the way. Summer Tana - Low odds, but she stands a better chance if they don't put Bridal Ninian on the banner. Summer Cordelia - Low odds, another possibility if Bridal Ninian doesn't appear. Summer Innes - Extremely low odds, they probably wouldn't put two green seasonals together and Sanaki is extremely likely. Sketchy Summer Heroes - Should start appearing on the following banner (November). Hoshidan Summer Heroes - Likely too soon, though I suspect they may begin adding one per banner after Bridal Ninian appears. REGULAR 5★ HEROES: This has been getting easier to predict, especially since they've been including a CYL1 hero, a dancer, and other new or repeat heroes. Yet, as certain colors begin to "dry up", if you will, it gets a little challenging to predict. In this case, red is October's wild card. Brave Roy - Extremely good odds. The only CYL1 hero not to make a reappearance on Legendary banners thus far (while the others have appeared 3 times each). I suspect they'd want to have him return before they start putting CYL2 heroes on the banners (which I'm not expecting til like November). Olivia (flying) - Lowish odds, if only because Bridal Ninian will likely and I think they're not going to put 2 dancers on the banner. She is the next 5★ exclusive red in line, however. Other Returning Reds - Ike (Young Mercenary), Celica (Caring Princess), Ryoma (Peerless Samurai), Seigbert, Sanaki, and Zelgius are prime examples of those who would be coming back after having appeared in the past. I'm having a hard time predicting who among these we'd get if they don't have someone else (like Olivia) in mind. Fallen Robin (M) - Very good odds. Long overdue. On top of this, with Legendary Lyn confirmed and Bridal Sanaki very likely, he'd be the only green armor, making there no issue with green being "too good" for armors and their skills Olwen (green tome) - Low odds, main competition being Fallen Robin appearing before her. Flying Nino - Very low odds, due to Grima and Olwen being first in line, and Bridal Sanaki having the same weapon/movement type. They have surprised us with units being out of order before, though. I'd still expect her a little further down the line. Sumia - Extremely good odds. She is the newest 5★ exclusive blue since Ishtar. Shiro - Very low odds. He was skipped over for Micaiah to make a reappearance this past month, suggesting that they don't intend to bring him back anytime soon. Hardin - Very low odds. Next after Micaiah for making reappearances if they continue on without going back for Shiro or Lute. Ninian - Very low odds. Only blue from a Hero Fest banner who hasn't made an appearance, but less likely given there's competition between her Bridal version and flying Olivia. Takumi - Extremely good odds, he's the last colorless to make a reappearance before starting that cycle over again. Brave Veronica - Low odds. She'd be next in line after Maribelle, but I think it's too soon for CYL2 to appear. MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above. New Legendary Hero (Water) - Hrid? Brave Roy Celica (tome) Legendary Lyn Fallen Robin (M) Bridal Sanaki Legendary Ephraim Bridal Ninian Sumia Legendary Robin Takumi Summer Noire WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? Red/Water. I hate guessing red since it seems like such a wide list of possibilities and you can never really guess what they'll pull out of their asses. I speculate that this hero will be male, since we've been going Female > Male > Female since the 3rd wave. Here's just a few possibilities: Corrin (male) - Equipped with a form of Yato, it's safe to assume that either Corrin will eventually appear in some variation, and almost certainly as a water hero. Probably the highest profile combo of Red + Water. Hrid - Another sword user. With Book II recently finished, it does make sense that they'd want to put Hrid in as a last hurrah. Yet, given the Muspell banner, it's certainly possible that he'll just appear on a regular ol' banner someday. Still, it'd be interesting if they made him have excellent synergy on a team with Fjorm. Alm with a Red Bow - Ok, fine, I'll humor you people. Sure, it's possible, especially after Lucina's appearance. I'm inclined to say that we'll likely see a non-sword user since we have 3 so far, and having 2 swords for Red/Water is a little excessive. That Alm, a main character from a game with no Legendary representation and who personally has no alt while Celica has two, will appear at some point only makes sense. Giving him an alternate weapon like with Lucina also adds up given that both are Falchion users and would probably need to differentiate themselves from Marth. No special connection to water as far as I know, but that hardly seems to matter half the time. Other Heroes - We have plenty of options for tome users and dragons, though mostly consisting of secondary characters and villains. I would have guessed Tiki before, but, well, ya know. FUTURE ANALYSIS: Based on the banner notes, we can tell what colors to expect. Previously, we had learned about the upcoming elements thanks to dataminers on Reddit, but with a recent update, we've seen the listing change. This complicates our predictions quite a bit, since we can't even be certain if those seasons will stay as they are. We will know for sure as we reach closer to December, though we can be more confident about October and November's seasons, since those didn't change. October: Ephraim, Lyn, Robin, New Red Hero (Water) November: Ryoma, Lucina, Gunnthra, New Colorless Hero (Water again) December: Marth, Fjorm, Hector, New Colorless Hero (Wind?) January: Ike, Tiki, either a green or colorless hero (Wind?) I suspect that by the time we reach the Hoshidan Summer heroes in the line-up, they will do what they did with the Performing Arts banner; add one at a time. I know we had both Inigo and Shigure, but I think that was a specific instance of them wanting to get through the greens faster. I don't expect to see CYL2 heroes on these banners until November, but that's just a wild guess based on it being an entire year after the first Legendary banner. Based on the above, I expect next month's colorless to include both Summer Takumi and Summer Linde, so they can save Veronica (the next colorless in line) for November, Again, this is just my own speculation with nothing concrete to back it up. 11. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Alright, I've blown through all my orbs after deciding that August's banner is the banner for me. Here's the forecast for September: CONFIRMABLE: The following heroes named are confirmed to return based on the notifications: Legendary Ike Legendary Hector Legendary Robin New Legendary Blue Hero (Earth) - See below for speculation and analysis on this hero. SEASONALS: Once again, August's banner had only 3 seasonals. This is the third time in a row it's happened, so it's fairly safe to assume that it's the new normal. We've also finally gotten through the backlog of green seasonals, and future seasonals banners are far more balanced, making the predictions here much simpler. Spring Sharena - Extremely high odds. Last of the green seasonals before there's some balance. Spring Catria - Extremely high odds, rounding out the Spring banner. Bridal Tharja - Very high odds. She's the only red seasonal available until summer. Bridal Sanaki - Very low odds, due to Sharena appearing before her. Bridal Ninian - Very low odds, due to Catria appearing before her. REGULAR 5★ HEROES: This has been getting easier to predict as well, especially since they've been including a CYL1 hero, a dancer, and other new or repeat heroes. Brave Roy - Good odds. Next in line after Sigurd for a reappearance from non-seasonals. Roy is also the only CYL1 hero not to make a reappearance on Legendary banners. I suspect they'd want to have him return before they start putting CYL2 heroes on the banners (which I'm not expecting til like November). Karla - Good odds, main competition being Brave Roy. Next in line for reds. Olivia (flying) - Very low odds, since Karla comes first. However, they've been including dancers on the banners lately so I wouln't rule out them putting her in ahead of time for that sake, though in that sense she's also competing for a slot with Ninian. Fallen Robin (M) - Good odds. Long overdue, owing to the glut of green seasonals to get through. However, I'm not sure if they'd put him on a banner with Legendary Hector due to both being powerful units with highly desirable skills. Olwen (green tome) - Low-ish odds, main competition being Fallen Robin appearing before her. Still a possibility if they decide they don't want two extremely desirable armors on the same pool. Ninian - Pretty good odds, given how she'd follow-up Azura and Nephenee as a Hero Fest character. On top of that, dancers have been making appearances quite a bit lately. She'd be a very natural fit. Sumia - Decent odds. She is the newest 5★ blue since Ishtar. If we get flying Olivia, I'm sure we'll get Sumia as well. Shiro - Very low odds, but possible, he'd be the first normal blue hero (excluding Brave Lucina) to make a reappearance on a Legendary banner. Takumi - Very good odds, he's next in line for a reappearance after Faye. Mirabelle - Good odds, she's the newest 5★ colorless since bow Hinoka. Jaffar - Low-ish odds, he's the next colorless unit in line after Takumi. He's also the last one before they started the cycle over again. It's basically him or Maribelle to round out the final slot. MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above. I'm really feeling this one. Legendary Ike Brave Roy Bridal Tharja Legendary Hector Fallen Robin (M) Spring Sharena New Legendary Hero (Earth) - Micaiah? Ninian Spring Catria Legendary Robin Takumi Maribelle WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? According to the Reddit dataminers, the next season will be Earth. Thus, we have a Blue Earth hero. Barring curveballs like Lucina, I think it's fairly easy to narrow down a list of potential characters. Some of this is stuff I can directly copy from July's banner, which is nice for me. I'm expecting a blue tome user since we only have one legendary tome user. Micaiah - Blue tome user. Some people have argued that her Dark affinity in RD makes her closer to Earth type since many of the dark-described dragons are Earth Dragons. That she's a main character who's popular is enough to convince me that she's the most likely candidate. Bruno - Another blue tome. One never knows, though I suspect they have story ideas for him before we can ever summon him (CYL aside). Corrin - Blue dragon. Since s/he is a water dragon, I'd sooner expect her/him to appear as a Water legendary, especially when they start having to do repeat color/elements. Ylgr - Her being a blue tome user is not out of the question, though I suppose it's a little more likely that she'd be a staff user. King Gustav - The only other OC we've heard of, so there's always a possibility that they could be introduced on a Legendary banner before a we are introduced to the character in story (like with Gunnthra). Seem a bit of a reach to me though. Robin - Blue tome male version, Grandmaster style. Seems highly unlikely to me that we'd get two Robins though. Some major villain character - Plenty of dragons to pick from for final bosses. A few standout antagonists like Reinhardt or Sephiran could possibly be blue tomes, as well. FUTURE ANALYSIS: Based on the banner notes, we can tell what colors to expect. Thanks to dataminers on Reddit, we know what element they will be as well: October: Ephraim, Lyn, Robin, New Red Hero (Water) November: Ryoma, Lucina, Gunnthra, New Colorless Hero (Water again) December: Marth, Fjorm, either a green or colorless hero (Fire) Seasonal banners from here on have been very balanced, suggesting that we won't have issues with greens like we did before. I suspect that by the time we reach the Hoshidan Summer heroes in the line-up, they will do what they did with the Performing Arts banner; add one at a time. I know we had both Inigo and Shigure, but I think they wanted to get through the greens faster. I don't expect to see CYL2 heroes on these banners until November, but that's just a wild guess based on when original CYL and Legendary banners occurred. 12. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Since we have a great number of tempting banners coming up, including the daily ones and potentially CYL2, I think I should get this thread underway as soon as I can. CONFIRMABLE: The following heroes named are confirmed to return based on the notifications, leaving the last open slot for a red hero, as neither Ike or Ryoma will return. Fjorm Gunnthra Legendary Robin New Red Legendary Hero - See below for speculation and analysis on this hero. SEASONALS: In the past, we'd get 4 seasonals, often 2 from varying banners, and never have we seen 2 of the same color from the same original banner (such as Spring Lucina + Spring Xander). However, the last two banners have given us only 3 seasonals. There could be a few reasons for this, such as getting in more regular banner heroes, slowing down the rate at which seasonals return, or even just the fact that the NY and Bridal banners only had 3 summonable heroes. Based on this, it's reasonable to assume that there may be just 3 seasonals in August as well. LA Hector - Extremely high odds due to being the remaining LA hero. Only thing that I would think they'd hold him off for is if they felt the need to put Grima (M) in the banner, due to both being armors with very valuable skills. We also still have quite a few green seasonals to get through before there's some balance. I highly doubt they'd put him off, especially since Legendary Hector will appear in September, and there's no freakin' way they'd put two Distant Counter fodder Hectors on the same banner. Spring Alfonse - Good odds, same as Sharena, especially considering they need to clear some of these green seasonals out. I'd expect one of them alongside Hector if they don't add in a normal pool green. Spring Sharena - Same as Alfonse. There is zero chance both her and Alfonse will be on the same banner though, so it's more like that there's very good odds of seeing one of them. Spring Catria - Very good odds, considering they seem to like putting in newer blues over older ones for some reason. Spring Kagero - Good odds, only colorless seasonal until summer returns. The lack of options on colorless kinda forces them to bring back old ones or throw in some seasonals. Bridal Tharja - Very low odds. Probably too early for the brides to appear, but she's the next seasonal red up, so if they surprise us with anybody, it'd be Tharja. Bridal Sanaki - Not gonna happen, due to the other seasonals waiting in the wings ahead of her. Bridal Ninian - Extremely low odds due to Catria and the greens needing to appear first. REGULAR 5★ HEROES: A tricky thing to predict, but in theory it should be 4 or 5 units, some of which are rather recent. Brave Roy - Very good odds. Next in line after Sigurd for a reappearance from non-seasonals. Roy is also the only CYL1 hero not to make a reappearance on Legendary banners. Reinhardt (sword) - Pretty low odds, main competition being Brave Roy. While he would be the next red hero by release, having two powerful sword cavalry on the same banner seems unlikely to me. Lene - Pretty good odds. She comes after Reinhardt chronologically, but Lief showed that they don't seem to mind that. Arguably, Azura's appearance in July suggests that 5★ dancers may get a little more attention too. Fallen Robin (M) - Decent odds. The only non-seasonal green I could envision getting on the banner, unless they skip him and go to Olwen. However, we still have some green seasonals to get through, and I'm not sure if they'd put him on a banner with Hector due to both being powerful units with highly desirable skills. Olwen (green tome) - Very low odds, if only because she's got competition from the seasonals, Robin, and the fact that with Gunnthra, we'd have two green cavalry mages on the same banner. They seem to like some diversity in weapon/movement types when possible. Brave Lucina - Good odds. Brave Lyn's 3rd appearance in July shows they're really ok with bringing CYL characters back again and again, and that they aren't on the same kind of rotation as other 5★ units. Ninian - Decent odds, given how she'd follow-up Azura as not only a dancer, but as a Hero Fest character as well. However, I'm not so sure they'd put both her and Lene on the same banner, and red seems a little more predictable this time around. Nephenee - Decent odds, another Hero Fest character, and while she got her Hero Fest appearance after Ninian, she's not a dancer. Sumia - Very low odds. She is the newest 5★ blue after Ishtar, but they've only just added her. It's also technically possible she'll be demoted, though that seems extremely unlikely. Shiro - Possible, he'd be the first normal blue hero (excluding Brave Lucina) to make a reappearance on a Legendary banner. Other blues - Hard to say at this point, only other significant blue I can think of beyond the ones I've listed that haven't appeared yet would be Hinoka. Takumi - Good odds, previous colorless have made reappearances, Takumi and Faye are next in line. While I think certain rare skills like Close Counter are taken into consideration when they make a banner, I don't think the other potential colorless heroes have anything that would make it "too good" of a pool. Faye - Same as Takumi. Mirabelle - Very low odds. Like Sumia, she seems too new, though she is the newest 5★ colorless since Hinoka, who just appeared. Jaffar - Zero chance, I just wanted to include him here as he's the next colorless unit in line after Takumi and Faye. He's also the last one before they started the cycle over again. MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above. New Red Legendary Hero (Red Tome?) Brave Roy Lene Gunnthra LA Hector Spring Sharena Fjorm Spring Catria Brave Lucina Legendary Robin Takumi Faye WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? Oh boy, red has got to be the hardest color to predict. There are countless sword heroes, darkness tomes, dragons, and even red bows are a possibility. Will the 2 girls > 2 guys trend continue? I'll let you guys go crazy predicting the character themselves, but here's what I think regarding unit types and elements: Element - While we know it won't be Wind, Earth and Water are a little less likely since we have heroes of those elements for red (though, as Lyn showed, this is not a hard rule). Going by the calendar, the week this character is released WILL be Fire season, regardless of whether the hero is Fire themselves. Swords - I would expect a sword user be Fire, since we already have Water and Earth sword users. This could potentially be someone like Roy, who is of course a very strong candidate due to his popularity, or perhaps Eirika, who could (in theory) work well with Ephraim. If we do get a sword user who is water or earth, I'd expect them to have a different movement type than Ike or Ryoma. The Muspell sisters and Hrid are also sword users, though Hrid would certainly not be Fire. Red Tomes - Dark tomes, fire tomes, there are a lot of possibilities here, and does help diversify the red legendaries a bit. With Lucina and Lyn, they've shown they're not afraid to branch out from a character's default weaponry, too, so while there are canonically a ton of sword users, they don't mind playing with the rules. I'm kind of expecting a red tome, especially if it's someone like Celica. Red Bows - I'm not sure we'd see a red bow hero just after getting a blue one. Color bows seem like a cop-out to me still. I wouldn't rule it out for October though. Red Dragons - Plenty of dragons to pick from for final bosses and other major characters. I don't expect a secondary character like, say, Kurthnaga though. FUTURE ANALYSIS: Unconfirmed but likely heroes will be italicized, based on the banner notes: September: Ike, Hector, Robin, New Blue Hero October: Ephraim, Lyn, Robin, New Red Hero November: Ryoma, Lucina, either a green or colorless hero We just might have 4 heroes of each color (except colorless) before Robin sits a banner out It will be curious to see if they return to having 4 seasonals on a banner again. This shift is changing the way we can predict these banners, and I'd almost think it's a long-term one if it happens a 3rd time in a row. Whenever CYL2 heroes come out, I wouldn't expect them on these banners until like November, but that's just a wild guess based on when original CYL and Legendary banners occurred. 13. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Once again, it's time to think about who will appear on the next Legendary banner, especially if you're tempted to use more orbs and weigh the current banner(s) against the next one. CONFIRMABLE: The following heroes named are confirmed to return based on the notifications, leaving the last open slot for a blue hero, as neither Fjorm or Ephraim will return. Legendary Ryoma Legendary Lyn Legendary Robin New Blue Legendary Hero - expected to be Earth type, going by the season trend. See below for speculation and analysis on this hero. SEASONALS: Normally, we get 4 seasonals, often 2 from varying banners, and never have we seen 2 of the same color from the same original banner (such as Spring Lucina + Spring Xander). Hector's banner only had 3 seasonals, so we know they're willing to break this trend, though that may have been due to the 3 heroes on the NY banner. We have a surplus of green seasonals, so I am expecting two green seasonals. Winter Lissa - I'm 100% certain she'll appear (I know I said this last month, but I mean, come on, how long can they put her off?) NY Camilla - Overdue from the NY banner. There are also no seasonal reds until we get into the Bridal Bloom banner (Tharja) LA Lilina - Seems very likely to me as they appear to prefer a bit of diversity with unit types of the same color. LA Hector - Seems highly unlikely as he shares a weapon and movement type with Lissa. They might consider Distant Counter and Bold Fighter too good to put in the same color. Spring Alfonse - Extremely unlikely given the glut of seasonal greens in waiting from older banners Spring Sharena - Same as Alfonse Spring Catria - Good odds, only blue seasonal til the brides Spring Kagero - Decent odds, only colorless seasonal until summer returns. However, there are two fliers already confirmed, and it's possible that they won't want a surplus of fliers on this banner. They seem to have no problem with bringing back old colorless heroes, as well. REGULAR 5★ HEROES: A tricky thing to predict, but in theory it should be 4 or 5 units, some of which are rather recent. Brave Roy - Very good odds. The last remaining Brave Hero to get a rerun on Legendary banners, and also is next in line after Sigurd for a reappearance from non-seasonals. Part of me suspects that they want to get all 4 Brave Heroes out of the way before the new CYL heroes appear. Chrom (cavalry) - Low odds, main competition being Brave Roy. Strange to me that he'd be passed over for Leif in the June banner, but that may have been due to the apparent balancing of movement types in that banner. Fallen Robin (M) - Very low odds. The only non-seasonal green I could envision getting on the banner since he'd follow Myrrh. However, we have a lot of green seasonals to get through, and putting him on the same banner as Winter Lissa means both Bold + Vengeful Fighter in the same color pool. I don't think they would do that. Ishtar - Good odds. Following Morgan (F), Ishtar would be next in line for newly released blues. Shiro - Possible, he'd be the first normal blue hero (excluding Brave Lucina) to make a reappearance on a Legendary banner. Other blues - Quite a few who would make a nice debut, including Hinoka, Nephenee, Ninian, and Azura Takumi - Good odds, previous colorless have made reappearances, Takumi and Faye are next in line. While I think certain rare skills like Close Counter are taken into consideration when they make a banner, I don't think the other potential colorless heroes have anything that would make it "too good" of a pool. As far as I can tell, these 3 colorless are equally likely. Faye - Same as Takumi. Hinoka (bow) - Good odds, the only recent colorless 5★ exclusive, it's inevitable that she'll make an appearance on one of the next few banners. I do think with two flying legendaries on the banner, they might not include her this time, yet I could also see them deciding to only have one repeat per color per banner, meaning she'd be in as long as Spring Kagero isn't. Jaffar - Zero chance, I just wanted to include him here as he's the next colorless unit in line after Takumi and Faye. He's also the last one before they started the cycle over again. MY PREDICTED LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above. I'm most confident about green and least confident about colorless. Legendary Ryoma NY Camilla Brave Roy Legendary Lyn Winter Lissa LA Lilina New Blue Legendary Hero (earth) Spring Catria Ishtar Legendary Robin Takumi Hinoka (bow) WHO'S THAT POKEMON NEW HERO? I didn't want to add this part in the discussion last time since I figure there are enough threads about it, but the discussion showed me that it's far too important a thing to not come up. I expect this hero to be Earth type, because every time a new Legendary launches, the seasons consist of that hero's element, and the following hero's (it's currently Fire + Earth at Hector's debut). I'm personally not going to entertain things like "Alm with a blue bow" cuz that's just silly to me. It may also be worth noting that so far, it's gone female > female > male > male > female female > male > male, which does suggest that a female hero is more likely. Micaiah - Blue tome user. Adding Hector showed us that they're not afraid to use heroes from the same game at this point. Some people have argued that her Dark affinity in RD makes her closer to Earth type since many of the dark-described dragons are Earth Dragons. I just figure she'll get a Legendary eventually since she's a main character who's popular and doesn't use a sword. I suspect she's the most likely. Bruno - Edited in because I forgot about him. One never knows, though I suspect they have story ideas for him before we can ever summon him (CYL aside). Ylgr - Her being a blue tome user is not out of the question, though I suppose it's a little more likely that she'd be a staff user. Other OCs - Hrid and King Gustav are the only ones we've heard of, so there's always a possibility that they could be introduced on a Legendary banner before a we are introduced to the character in story (like with Gunnthra) EDIT: Hrid's full art shows him with a sword, so he's out of the running this month. Corrin - Blue dragon. Since s/he is a water dragon, I'd sooner expect her/him to appear as a Water legendary. Robin - Blue tome male version, Grandmaster style. Seems highly unlikely to me that we'd get two Robins before anybody else from Awakening though. Some major villain character - Plenty of dragons to pick from for final bosses. A few standout antagonists like Reinhardt or Sephiran would possibly be blue tomes, as well. FUTURE ANALYSIS: August will contain Fjorm and Gunnthra, with no returning red announced. This strongly suggests that August's hero will be red, and Robin will return. September will contain Ike and Hector, and October will contain Ephraim. This suggests that September's hero will be blue again, though it's possible that we see July's new blue hero appear in September and we end up getting a new colorless. I suspect that August's banner will contain 4 seasonals (guessing Spring Sharena, LA Hector, and 2 other units between the brides and Spring Kagero). I suspect September's banner will have 3 seasonals (remaining Bride(s)/Kagero and starting into the summer banner). I would be utterly shocked if they put LA Hector on the same banner as Legendary Hector. If those above two points are accurate, then by October, seasonals would be back to a normal 4 per banner deal (depending on what we get in upcoming seasonal banners). What's notable is that the seasonal banners have been more balanced in terms of color, so by this point we should be done with the excessive greens. 14. NEXT MONTH'S THREAD: Please use the most recent thread if you intend to make posts about future banners. Feel free to use this thread for analysis of trends, etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I figure it's probably a decent idea to have a list of the most likely heroes to appear on next month's Legendary banner so people will have a better idea of what they want to do with their orbs until then. I'll probably keep doing this every month in a new thread. CONFIRMABLE: The following heroes named are confirmed to return based on the notifications, leaving the last open slot for a green hero, as neither Gunnthra nor Lyn will return. Legendary Ike Legendary Ephraim Legendary Robin New Green Legendary Hero - almost certainly Fire with +Res effect. Could be a lot of people, really, though I think it's most likely either an OC or someone from a game without Legendary representation thus far SEASONALS: Normally, we get 4 seasonals, often 2 from varying banners, and never have we seen 2 of the same color from the same banner. However, since the NY banner only had 3 heroes on it, there's a good chance we'll see a LA banner hero or two. Here are the most probable seasonals listed by likelihood: Winter Lissa - I'm 100% certain she'll appear Winter Tharja - extremely likely to round out the Winter banner, though it's possible NY Camilla - highly likely to round out the NY banner, though made slightly less likely by sharing the highly demanded red slot with Tharja. Getting 2 red seasonals is possible, but there are a lot of regular 5★ exclusive reds that they can put in as well. LA Roy - arguably most likely of the LA heroes to appear, as he's the only colorless unit until the Spring banner LA Lyn - slightly less likely than Roy, for similar reasons, though blue is better populated with regular 5★ exclusives new and old LA Lilina - least likely, shares this potential slot with Hector. More probable that the following banner (July) would have one of these two, along with either Alfonse or Sharena, and then the August banner would have the remaining two LA Hector - least likely, see Lilina REGULAR 5★ HEROES: A tricky thing to predict, but in theory it should be 4 units, some of which are rather recent. Chrom (cavalry) - good odds, a recent red Brave Roy - possible, Sigurd's return on the current banner suggests that they might be bringing back more reds from previous banners. Likewise, Brave Lucina and Lyn have appeared twice on these banners Myrrh - likely, a recent green who hasn't appeared on a Legendary banner due to the glut of green seasonals. This would also be Myrrh's first banner since her release Fallen Robin (M) - less likely, having been introduced more recently and having been on a banner since then Brave Ike - rather unlikely, despite having similar reasons as Brave Roy, but there's a glut of green seasonals which have more to go through, and have been keeping newer units from appearing Morgan (F) - lowish odds since she's on a current banner, but she'd be the only blue added since Ishtar Other blues - Excepting Ishtar, who is arguably too recent, there are quite a few units who would do well to appear, including Ninian, Nephenee, and Hinoka. Elise - decent odds, they've brought back the colorless heroes from previous Legendary banners twice, suggesting that they might keep with this trend, Elise being the next in line after Innes Hinoka (bow) - decent odds, the only recent colorless 5★ exclusive, it's inevitable that she'll make an appearance on one of the next few banners MY PREDICTED JUNE LIST: This is my own guess based on everything above, with only the Legendaries and Lissa being the ones I'm certain about: Legendary Ike Winter Tharja Chrom (cavalry) New Green Legendary Hero (fire) Winter Lissa Myrrh Legendary Ephraim LA Lyn Nephenee Legendary Robin LA Roy Elise FUTURE PREDICTIONS: July's hero is slated to be a blue hero, as Fjorm will not be returning until August. This would mean July will have Ryoma, Lyn, Robin, and this new blue hero. As of now, for seasonals, I'd expect to see LA Lilina + Spring Alfonse or LA Hector + Spring Sharena in July and whichever pair doesn't show will be in August For other seasonals, I expect NY Camilla with either Spring Kagero or Catria in July, and whichever Spring unit leftover appears with Bride Tharja in August
