I dont know if this happens to others (it probably does), but whenever i play online, regardless of the type, with or without friends, i always experience like a full second of input lag (to clarify; its when i press a button, and its effect happens a while after pressed). This happens all the time, and is seriously annoying and putting me off playing multi altogether on Smash. Does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? Would appreciate it lots...

How do I calculate which enemy I'll be fighting? I heard "Gambled gold minus 40 times (level minus 1) - Enemy Class (Enemy Weapon)," but I'm lost as to what that means.

I'm new to the Fire Emblem series. Awakening is the very first game that I have played and it has become my favorite game that I have played on any system. I have been struggling very much lately with my Lunatic mode save file. I have tried looking online for guides for optimal parent pairings for the top children. I have not had much luck in finding anything to help me out. I am trying to find Chrom a wife since the next chapter is the chapter where he is married automatically afterwards. I was thinking Sumia because she really just seems like a power house. I'm not sure though if that is wasting Chrom's fantastic skills or not. I've also seen a lot of places that Olivia is a great choice, but for a defensive Lucina. There is just so much information that I am overwhelmed and undecided on any pairings. I'd really appreciate help on this and some guidance for optimal pairings.

I just got my MaMu to level 20 Grandmaster Str 24 Mag 27 Skl 25 Spd 26 Lck 28 Def 25 Res 17 (Hang on before you criticize the stats xD still new) Im aiming for dreadfighter as his last class, and considered getting Armsthrift on him(and maybe sol) from reclassing to Merc.....then got scared when Merc drops and locks my Mag down to a 21. My question is, will I be able to boost this back up,after picking up armsthrift, and jump back to GM ? Or did I just confuse and wreck the hell out of myself xD Is it even worth it to have the armsthrift on him?(I apologize if this was a stupid question xD) Ignis, Aggresor, Sol, Lifetaker and Armsthrift was what I was aiming for Any suggestions xD will do xD I am ready to answer for my sins @,@

Ive been going back and forth for this one: but can anyone suggest which father, from the two, would be the best choice for Gerome? Sorry Im new on FE a bit and my pairings so far are ChromxOlivia LibraxLissa (should I do a Ricken ?) I cant do anything for the ones who are married now xD but please give me some extra insight. I just want to understand and also find a final decision rather than charging into my doom xD

So here I am, pretty clueless about how to abuse fixed mode. I want to make a themed run using all of Greil Mercenaries. Yes, including Mist. I started to plan stat maximization and have already planned Ike and Mist, but I think I'm not doing it right. For Ike, I had planned to give him a Seraph Robe to increase his HP average from 51.5 to 58.5, and two Talismans to increase his Resistance average from 17.2 to 21.2. Additionally, I would give Ike two levels of BExp with 2 exp increments. That way, he would get +2 HP, +1 Defence and +1 Resistance in these levels. I thought that, maybe, that way his average stats would increase and match his caps, since I would have forced Ike to increase one more point on these stats than he would normally increase over the course of two level ups. But I don't think is that simple. What about in-battle effects? I hadn't decided which bands and weapons to equip to Ike yet. And it seems to me that taking care of defeating only the type of enemy that doesn't slow down the desired growths must be almost impossible, or a huge pain. I also don't want to be calculating every damn time a battle occurs :/ For Mist, I had planned to give her the three Secret Books available to increase her terrible Skill average from 14 to 24. And level up her 10 times using BExp with 2 exp increments. In the course of these level ups, she would get a +5 in Strength, Skill, Speed and Resistance, theoretically incresing her averages to caps. And well, that's all. Of course I'm wrong, right? :/ By the way, I plan to play in HM. I want to enjoy playing, too, and HM is already easy. Do you think it's possible to take all of Greil Mercenaries to 20/20 level? I would boss abuse if necessary, of course. But not with Bertram, since I want that nice Runesword for Mist. Any help is welcome. Thanks in advance.

So I have a +magic -strength Male Avatar... I don't really know what to do with him. At first I chose this setup to get a shadowgift morgan from aversa but I heard people say this is by far not the best option. I was thinking of pairing Avatar with either Sumia or Cynthia, sumia preferable because then I can pair up Cynthia with another unit which also has access to galeforce. but I do like the thought of a nosferatu morgan which can sweep through rogues and redeemers 3 like it was her friggin' birthright. I also heard nosferatanking is the fastest way to clear maps, even though Celica's gale is the best tome in the game. What do you think? Do you have any suggestions that aren't part of the ones I listed above? Thanks in advance! _{ô.ô}/

Hi, During my play-through, I always have the combat animations turned OFF for all characters, and whenever I fight a boss, the dialogue just appears on the grid screen next to the sprites (forgive me, I'm new! I don't know the correct terminology) But recently, (from chapter 18 onwards with Yen'fay) when I fight a boss, the game switches to the in-battle animation. I thought it was odd, since this has never happened before? And I wasn't using a character that had extra dialogue with the boss. Other than this, I'm really enjoying my first play-through! Thanks, if someone can provide answers :)

Sigh yes yes I know this is like the 100th time I am back here again asking for help. But There is a small problem going on well it is big if I can`t find a way to fix it. Here I am testing everything out once more and just when everything looked in place another problem strikes sigh why me? I feel like kicking FE4 then throwing it out of a window Lol this must be the most hardest tricky FE ever to hack. Anyway the little problem that popped up is 3 children units Sety,Faval and Corple are missing!! and instead their sub char are there..Well I would not say missing the 3 originals are there? sorta but only in cut scenes on the map and in battle they are the sub units a clear example is faval gone and Asaello is here! is this a common problem in hacking FE4? I have a feeling it might be so how do you fix it? I tried myself already and nothing... I wonder if the portrait editor has something to do with this? no couldn`t be as I did not touch anything in there so something else maybe? anyway here it is Asaello is not supposed to be there! it is so weird Patty is there but no Faval. Also there is an enemy Tinny in the castle but I already know what that is I think heh it is just a common glitch in FE4 where if you don`t recruit a unit you at times see them as an enemy in there. But Asaello and the others is another story.

Hello everyone it has been very long. Anyway After hmm lets see about 2 years since I last tried and failed I am once again trying to use nightmare to hack FE4! but I find myself again stuck on the same thing as the first time that drove me to quit. How in the world do you use it at all? I have it but it make me doubt the thing even does anything other than just to stare at it. Maybe I am for one missing pieces to it and that is why it may need other programs to use it. I have one thing atleast and that is the emulator and game of course. And Lunar IPS to but that may be an optional piece and may not be needed I just have it for patching already made hacks made by others to play them. And yes i have searched the web for tutorials for beginners such as myself but only to not find anything remotely helpful and most guides are aimed at FE6,FE7 and FE8 while great guides yes they don`t help as I am not doing GBA FE. I`ve tried youtube for some visual guides but shockingly there is next to no vids displaying nightmare in action. So the only way really is to seek out someone who has been there and done it already and has hacked an FE game already. I have taken a photo of where I am stuck at I have looked through every file in that folder but they seem to be just text documents and the NMM things just plain won`t open so something is missing that I did not pick up maybe. Anyway thanks in advance I can`t wait to begin using it as I heard it is quite fun using nightmare to mess around with FE!

For my playthrough I'm dubbing "Challenge", and will be recording (if I can ever get a capture board). The challenge is I won't pair for optimization, I'll pair for what I like, plot wise. Everyone must also end in original classes, barring those who don't promote (Olivia, Donnel, Yarne, Panne, Tiki, Nah and Nowi). I'll either do Maribelle or Sumia - my two OTPs for Chrom. I like Maribelle with Chrom a little bit more - "protect your sister" is better than "eat my pies". However, I do enjoy the MU x Maribelle ship, and Brady x Lucina. I have skillsets for every child that could come of these pairs - they are in the italics below. However, I want some assistance determining which ship to do. If Chrom x Maribelle, I'll do FeMU with Libra because my waifu is taken and Sumia x Henry If Chrom x Sumia, I'll do MaMU with Maribelle. Any help would be lovely. Hello everyone! I'm in dire need of some help with this game and I hope any of you could please aid me in my plea. So far I am in Chapter 3 of the game, so please, do not post spoiling content regarding anything I do not ask, thank you Right now I am at the Fire Temple and need to defeat the boss that is clouding the crystal, Chaugmar. So far I have been unsuccessful in defeating the blasted demon and have no idea whatsoever what to do. The only information I have gathered online is that his weakness is lightning and that every certain amount of turns, he does this party destroying explosion and returns to his primary state, like in the beginning of the battle.. then all over again. I have been having problems building a tactic to time his explosion perfectly and default, to save myself from it. I'm uncertain of how many times I should Brave while he has his purple sphere/guard down and when to time the explosion perfectly. Not only that, I don't know what kind of jobs would be ideal for my characters. I read that Edea should be a Valkyrie or White Mage, Ringabel a Spell Fencer or Black Mage, Tiz a Monk and I'm not so sure about Agnés. To wrap this all up, I have committed the grave error of putting my whole team with the Thief job throughout the story, as I loved the outfits (superficial, hah) and the far range weapons. My character's levels are: - Edea 45 with lvl 11 Thief, lvl 3 Knight, lvl 6 Freelancer - Tiz 45 with lvl 11 Thief, lvl 2 Knight, lvl 2 Black Mage, lvl 6 Monk, lvl 6 Freelancer - Agnés 45 with lvl 11 Thief, lvl 9 White Mage, lvl 7 Freelancer - Ringabel 45 with lvl 9 Thief, lvl 6 Spell Fencer, lvl 7 Freelancer Other than the boss Chaugmar problem, I would also like some help as to where to find Potion X, a really good place for grinding levels (only places obviously accessible up until Chapter 3), how to open the blue chests and where to find/purchase the highest weapons and who to equip them with. Anyone who can help me with this will have my infinite gratitude, for what it's worth If this thread was made in the incorrect section, please move it, thank you!

Okay for a while now I have planned to get a Sylveon. But unfortunately I am one of those picky people that care about a Pokemon's gender, nature, etc. I've researched and most people say that "Calm" or "Modest" is the best nature for Sylveon. As for the gender, I really, really, wanted a female Eevee because Sylveon just appears as a female to me, imo. (Plus female Eevees are rare, so it'd be kinda cool to have one in battle) So basically I've been in this crazy Eevee-catching fiasco trying to catch a female Eevee with a good nature for Sylveon as well. I've caught 18 so far. All but two of them are male. I basically have caught Eevees with all types of natures, which stinks because I'm after specific ones. My first female Eevee had a "Lax" nature, which is really bad for Sylveon. So finally today I found a female Eevee, and it's nature is "Brave" with it's characteristic "Likes to fight." It didn't affect it's Defense, Special Attack, or Special Defense, so I thought it'd be good. Unfortunately that characteristic made me picky because it does nothing to increase those three stats. Also, before this, I did manage to get my hands on an Eevee with a "Calm" nature, but it's a Male. It's characteristic is "Likes to trash about" which is also unfortunate because it messes up it's attack decrease since it has a "Calm" nature. TL;DR: So basically I have to decide which to choose to evolve into Sylveon. Should I choose the female Eevee I've been craving with average stats, or should I choose the male Eevee with the "Calm" nature, but with a characteristic that contradicts it? Or should I just go back to catching Eevees until I find a better one? Also, I have quite a few different natures of Eevees (no "Modest" nature sadly) such as Serious, Bashful, etc. Another option would to just got with a neutral nature. Would that be worth it at all or should I just not worry about neutral natures? Sorry for writing so much but this has been bugging me for a long time...

I'm used to using coding on forums, and this is the third forum that I've come to that does roleplaying. The problem is for me to host a roleplay idea that I usually run, I need to be able to easily display several charts of information like stats, skills, etc. I've tried both [table border=1] and [TABLE=class: grid, width: 500], with neither of them working to create tables. Is there other forms of code I can use to make displays like the one included in this post?

Okay, so I've been wanting to ask someone about the pairings I chose and how good they are (Both support/story/personality wise and optimization wise). I've played the game for a while now and wondered how good my pairings are. So I wanted to get a chance to ask other FE:A players about them. How good are my pairings good optimization wise and support wise? (I tried balancing them both out, not doing the worst optimization pairings or doing crack pairings) Alright so here are my pairings and the skills they passed down to their children: Chrom x Fem!MyUnit; This one just kind of...happened. At the end of Chapter 11, apparently my Avatar had the highest supports with Chrom, so they got married. I didn't reset it cause it's my first time playing, so now I want to say I don't regret it. Children: Lucina- Chrom passes down Aether and Fem!MyUnit passes down Ignis. Male!Morgan- Chrom passes down Rightful King and Fem!MyUnit passes down Galeforce Fredrick x Sumia; This one was sort of based on personal opinion. Since Fem!MyUnit was with Chrom, Sumia had a romantic option cut out, leaving Fredrick, Gaius, and Henry. For some reason I didn't like Gaius and Henry's hair colors on her so I went with Fredrick (And I had plans to pair Henry with someone else). Plus, imo, the supports were super adorable. Also, I couldn't find anyone better to pair Fredrick with at the time. I heard it's the worst pairing for Sumia stat wise; is that true? Children: Cynthia- Fredrick passed down Aegis and Sumia passed down Galeforce Virion x Sully; This one was truly based on my opinion. As soon as I saw them in Chapter 1 with their hilarious dialogue, I wanted to pair them up. I don't know if this is a good pairing or not stat wise for Kjelle. It's one of my favorite couples in Fire Emblem: Awakening, but is the optimization for Kjelle really bad? Children: Kjelle- Virion passed down Bowbreaker and Sully passed down Aegis Stahl x Cordelia; For some reason, when I saw the two together do so well in battle, I wanted to pair them up. That wasn't a bad choice; I later found out Stahl is one of Severa's best fathers. I might keep this pairing, unless you guys think there are better couples for Stahl and Coredlia respectively. Children: Severa- Stahl passed down Aegis and Cordelia passed down Galeforce Vaike x Lissa; I had a hard time with this one. I found it super hard to find a good husband for Lissa. Her options were limited at the time, so I did some research. I found out Vaike was a pretty solid father for Owain, so I went with it. The supports helped with my decision as well. Are there better husbands for Lissa though? Children: Owain- Vaike passed down Counter and Lissa passed down Galeforce Donnel x Nowi; Found out this was one of the best pairings for Nowi since Donnel passes down Aptitude to make a super strong Nah. Plus, the two look cute together, and I found Nah's hair to match her red cloak quite nicely. Children: Nah- Donnel passed down Aptitude and Nowi passed down Swordbreaker (Nah also learned Lancebreaker once I made her a Griffon Rider) Lon'qu x Olivia; ...I seriously had no purpose with optimization for this pairing. I went with it because I thought it was super adorable. Both are quiet and quite awkward around other people (women for Lon'qu), so I thought it'd be cute if they both got married. Plus Inigo looked good with Lon'qu's hair color, and the supports were pretty good. This pairing isn't bad stat wise, is it? Children: Inigo- Lon'qu passed down Vantage (because I did NOT want to go through the whole Myrimdon line) and Olivia passed down Galeforce Ricken x Miriel; One of my last pairings. Since both are magic users, I figured they would make Laurent an even powerful mage. The supports helped a bit too, although I did this one mainly because of the high magic stat. Children: Laurent- Ricken passed down Lifetaker and Miriel passed down Dual Support+ Gaius x Panne; ...This is seriously the last pairing I created. It was either Gaius or Kellam. I went with Gaius because I didn't want him to be forever alone'd he has good speed and skill stats, which Taguels excel in. Supports were freaking hilarious. Is Gaius better with someone else? I heard he's one of the best fathers. (Although I really don't care about the Galeforce thing with Gaius...as you can see, most of my characters already have Galeforce) Children: Yarne- Gaius passed down Astra and Panne passed down Lethality. Gregor x Cherche; This pairing I just went with the flow. Gregor's hair color looked good on Gerome, and both parents have really good stats. Plus I heard Gregor was a great father for Gerome, which was even a bigger reason why I went with it! Children: Gerome- Gregor passed down Armsthrift and Cherche passed down Deliverer (so I can avoid the whole Griffon Rider line) Libra x Maribelle; Both have high magic stats as well as being healers. That's why I ended up making Brady into a Sage. Supports also showed Maribelle's kind side that some people don't seem to notice. Children: Brady- Libra passed down Lifetaker and Maribelle passed down Galeforce Henry x Tharja; Both are magic users (although I found out later on that Noire is an archer). I found it kind of hilarious to pair both dark mages up; it makes sense to why Noire is bipolar. I felt like this pairing wasn't as good optimization wise as I thought, but it wasn't really bad. Children: Noire- Henry passed down Lifetaker and Tharja passed down Vengence. Kellam got forever alone'd cause I'm mean. /Brick'd Children pairings don't matter to me right now, I really want to focus on first gen pairings. If you comment, thanks for helping! I'm familiar with effort values, but exactly what are individual values and how do I calculate them?

Okay. So you know when you know someone, but you don't really know them THAT well and they kind of interest you, and you're intrigued by them, but it's not really an actual crush because you don't know the person that well and you want to GET to know them and it feels like a crush but you're still kind of wary so it's not ACTUALLY a crush but you're just kind of curious about them? And they kind of hit a button that triggers some serious emotional response out of you because someone - i.e. me - has a stupid hero complex and it's probably just a joke but honestly, said someone - i.e. me - takes things too seriously anyway? ... Yeah. I - I'm kind of experiencing this. And I want it to GO AWAY so badly. Seriously, what do I do? I'm kind of in mini-panic mode.

Ok, I need help. I'm trying to go for the special ending that consists of But I can't seem to have Soren attack Pelleas (or vice versa) in the Part 3 Endgame. I have no long-ranged tomes, and I'm doing hard mode, so there are more enemies (meaning it's a lot easier to get the kill-count to get to 80). I've gotten really close before, and then Nailah killed Soren, and Pelleas attacked the wrong person. I've tried having Haar rescue Soren, and have him follow the Gallia path, but it didn't reduce the kill-count because Phoenicis will take the center path (the path that you're supposed to take). I've had Soren equip Pass, and have a few people (with a lot of defense or avoid) do a berserk strategy without trying to kill many people, but someone usually ends up dying (mainly Haar). If anyone can give me any tips, it would be most appreciated.

I'm having trouble on unlocking event 177. On the Serenes Forest guide ( http://serenesforest.net/fe11/recollection.html ), it says "Didn't go to Chapter 24x". But I've started the endgame (without going to 24x) about five times, and it still hasn't shown up. There's obviously another requirement to it. Please help!

After not playing this game for a couple years, a few of my friends and I agreed to restart this game and create teams to fight each other, given a month of playtime (enough for online shopping). Ever since February...or I guess it's been longer than that...I've noticed some changes in my younger sister. She went from this positve, excited 15-year-old girl to a cynical, quite morbied-minded person. I always thought it was because she's always around our older sister, who is pretty much the same way, or if it was just a phase. Well, she told me earlier this year about how she was depressed, no one at school liked her, her friends were always fake to her, and she just wanted to die. She's also self-harmed a couple times. We had a heart-to-heart conversation, and afterwards I thought she was fine now. Fast forward a few months later: she's always negative, complains that her life sucks, she hates everyone, etc. She also listens to these metal bands, which I don't think is much of a problem, but some of the lyrics are very dark and she feels like she can relate to it. I've questioned her about this, and she says that everything is fine and the depressed part of her life was over, but I know she isn't telling me everything. It seems I'm the only one who recognizes this because I went to our parents about it, but they say that she's always so energetic and doesn't seem depressed at all. It's making me mad that they're not worrying their asses off 24/7 like I am, and I'm also mad at my sister because she's been putting me through so much stress and she doesn't even know it. I've battled depression before and I know what it's like to be suicidal and not wanting everyone to worry about you, but when you see it happening to your little sister, it's just...a bunch of different emotions at once. My sister has muscular dystrophy and I've always done what I could to help and protect her, but I can't protect her from herself. My school is leaving for a retreat this afternoon, so I can't stay at home to be with her, but I'm definitely going to my parents about this before I leave. What I want to know is...have any of you ever went through this with your sibling? And did it ever get better? What would you do for them when they don't even want to open up to you? Nine hours ago, she posted on her tumblr that she wanted to kill herself, so I don't have much time left. I've kept my worries bottled up for so long, it's making me sick...I just don't want to lose my younger sister. She's pretty much the only friend I have. I'm sorry if this post really has no point to it, I just needed to vent and no one else will listen to me. Call me overprotective or an invader of privacy...but I just want to help my sister. I was going to marry Cordelia for two really good children, but I'm thinking about switching him out with Virion so I can marry someone else. Severa can get good enough skills with either, she'll just be a bit more defensive with Virion. Feel free to critique my other pairs, but I'm mainly worried about Cordelia. Vaike and Lissa are already married, so I can't change that. Thanks for the help.

So I paired Gregor/Cordelia, and I've reached a predicament when it comes to choosing skills: should Severa inherit Despoil or Axefaire from berserker!Gregor? She's definitely inheriting Galeforce from Cordelia, no doubt about that, but I don't know which she would prefer from Gregor. With Despoil, it's pretty much a built in Leif's Sword, and she'd spawn small bullions at random. She tends to have high LUCK, so it'd be nice to see her pick up bullions at random. But with Axefaire, she gains more STR using axes, which is pretty rad. I mean, axes are the strongest weapons in the game, and she can become a monster with them. Leaning more toward to this ATM, but Despoil itself sounds really good. Hmm...choices, choices.
