  1. How can I completely skip the overworld scenes for all chapters? If I try to use the "without world map" thing at the end of chapter 2 chapter 3 won't load I'll just get a black screen. And when I try to delete the world map events it gets me stuck in an infinite loop of either dialogue or going back to the prologue PLEASE HELP!

  3. Ok, for those who have more experience in Ranked Runs than me I offer you this ... problem. I kinda wanted to do another run through Blazing Sword after ~3 years from my last run. In my hubris I decided to do S-Rank HHM + LHM while recruiting every single character. This resulted into the mess, I'm in right now. I didn't use a single booster or promotion item yet. However if you look at my current rankings. Tactics **** (234/328 Turns) Survival***** (0 deaths) Funds **** EXP ***** Combat ***** I visited Linus' and Kenneth's map. With the exception of 19xx every Gaiden chapter was visited and the Silver card was stolen. As you can see I'm probably a bit hard pressed for Tactics. I know that you can cheese the later maps with Warp but the bigger problem are funds and EXP. Since I intended to do full recruitment I had to sell some stuff (mostly Blue and Red Gems) to scratch myself the Gold for Farina but that also left me with a scarce inventory. I forgot to buy extra weapons in Linus chapter and my barracks are kinda full due to conserving the money items. Also I have little experience with rankings in general. I don't know if I did well with sharing my EXP among all the units. I had to leave out Dorcas because most of the spare EXP went into Bartre and Will was simply unsalvageable (somehow got a Lvl. during his return). I didn't use Canas at all because his weapons are kinda expensive. Rath was used in his re-recruitment chapter but unfortunately I didn't had any opportunity to use him more. This is probably the part where FE7 starts to take itself a bit more seriously, so I don't think I should try to train that underleveled units anymore. In fact I should probably think about a more permanent line-up. Since this game has good pre-promotes Marcus, Hawkeye, Geitz, Pent, Harken and Vaida seem like no-brainer to me. The problem is the rest. I think promoting Kent with a Knight Crest is better than using Isadora with a Robe since he has higher stats and better growths. The same goes for Heath who has absurdly good stats for some reason. That should be enough for promotions, right? I don't think I can further strain my Funds rank. So ... how do you think, I'm doing? Is it still doable to S-Rank this run or should I just drop it? I think I can save my Tactics rank if I skip 32x but everything else seems pretty bleak. It doesn't help that I forgot to re-stock my weapons during Linus' chapter so I'm kinda lacking in Javelins and Hand Axes (which in turn could ruin my Combat rank, aaaaaaa).

Hey guys, I don't usually like to make requests and things like this, but does anyone have a European/Australian/PAL Special Edition Fire Emblem Fates Poster (the one with the map of Nohr and Hoshido) that they would be willing to send/sell to me? I've gone through a really messy and long break up lately and my partner refuses to give back my personal items, including the poster he was going to make a frame for. He is angry so now he will probably throw it out or destroy it. The poster is the only item I can replace from the break up and I still would like one to keep my limited edition whole. I can buy the poster from you and pay for postage as well if that helps. Any other advice for sourcing this poster would be helpful, thank you.

  7. Recently, I've noticed that I can't access the Character Editor from Nightmare. Any ideas why? I've already tried to re-download the module and Nightmare, but the same error screen keeps popping...
  8. The problem I'm having with this map is approaching. I tried to get Nuibaba to cast herself down to 1 HP with her Medusa spell, but ran into difficulties with a Bow Knight who could kill whoever took Medusa, and the fact that the Arcanists that surround her can heal. I've tried circling around the mansion to enter from the back, but I don't have an effective way to deal with the Arcanists as no one can tank Mire nor Death that well, even with the Hexlock shield. Also hurting this is that Nuibaba also covers that entrance with her insane 1-7 range. How should I go about this map?
  9. So I've read a million outdated tutorials on this, Nintenlord and Markyjoe taught me how to make and insert the changes with EA, but nobody but arch has any info on coding it. I have my changes stored at an offset, but I just need someone to tell me how to code it. That complex mappy code that looks like this: #define TileMap(TCN,X1,X2,L1,L2,TilePointer) "BYTE TCN X1 X2 L1 L2 0 0 0; POIN TilePointer" #define TileMapEnd "WORD 0xFF 0 0" cant possibly be the way... but if it is, someone please to god teach me what each piece of it means with tiled. And tell me if I need a tile reference table like the one Arch has in his tutorial. its a broken link though. Memes aside, any help on this would save my Chapter from doom and I thank you in advance for the trouble.
  10. So um, I was trying to patch a Thracia ROM earlier, and I had tested it beforehand to make sure it played fine and didn't have any problems. After I had done that, I applied the patch (It was the NP patch on an NP ROM) after the opening story scroll ends I just get a black screen and the title doesn't load. Does anyone know why this is occuring?
  11. Hiya, new to FE Hacking here and some things wrong with my game. Everything was fine but I changed a couple of things and now... this has happened. If I go and attack an enemy the tiles get screwed up and turn Rainbow coloured. If I step on any of the other blue tiles outside my normal range, the game crashes After the second turn when reinforcements arrive, the game also crashes.**** It also seems to have changed one of my text conversations for some reason to this: "[MoveFarFarLeft][.][0xB8][OpenFarFarLeft][0xBC][OpenFarFarLeft]<[OpenMidRight][0xA4][X]" This is the code for the game, the only thing I changed was the ending event which used to be: "Ending_event: End_Game ENUN ENDA" **** After I changed this the game stopped crashing at those points but I can still move around the map in the same way for some reason, it just wont crash.   12. Okay so I’m writing a fanfic on the future kids and their life in the future and how they ended up traveling through time. I’m having trouble coming up with pairings for this fic. I mean I’m already using ChromxSumia because canon but I cannot decide on who I want male robin to be with. For obvious reasons whoever ends up being robin’s kid and Morgan’s sibling is very important to this story. Like I can’t decide between RobinxCordelia, RobinxLissa, or RobinxOlivia. I’m probably thinking too much in to this cause it’s just a fanfic but eh. Like I love all those pairings but I can only use one. As for other pairings feel free to make any suggestions you wish.

    Help Needed

    Calling all spriters & sound designers! There have recently been a chain of supposed leaks about the upcoming 16th Fire Emblem game (Found here: ) The legitimacy of these leaks are questionable at best, so I thought it could become a fangame, I however, am not particularly good at spriting, and I know nothing about sound design. So I require help in those departments. The game will be developed on FEXP.
  14. So say I took a song that existed already. Something from a Disney film perhaps. Then I re-wrote the lyrics to keep the flow as much as possible, but to be about a Fire Emblem game? Would it still go in the creative section even though the flow isn't my work? Or would I be better off posting it elsewhere? For future reference.
  15. Recently, I’ve been trying to get into FE Rom Hacking. So I looked up some tutorials, downloaded NUPS and Nightmare, and was ready to start messing around and learning the ropes, but after I added the No Tutorial Patch to my FE7 ROM, the game refused to run. So I thought, “Well, okay. That’s fine. Tutorial doesn’t matter anyway.” So, then I tried to begin messing around with Nightmare, but then once I tried to use the FE7 Character and Class editor, a message popped up saying that the “ROM is not compatible with the module”, or something along those lines. What am I doing wrong? Am I just being retarded? (By the way, I did delete the the ROM that had the No Tutorial patch, and got a fresh ROM for Nightmare).
  16. So I did everything I had to so I could get Tatiana and Zeke, but after i cleared Nuibaba's abode and recruited Tatiana, I went into Jerome's map and Zeke still fought me. As far as I know i did nothing wrong and I shouldn't have to kill him. How do I fix this?
  17. So I'm trying to get back into spriting and am therefore trying to get the hang of making portrait hackboxes. These are sprites I made today with their attempts at a hackboxes. EDIT: The Ike sprite does use a portrait made by NickT. I am under the impression that its free to use, but am adding this not here so people don't think I'm plagiarizing or something. These are sprites I made about a year ago, and would like to turn into hackboxes but haven't yet. Any advice is appreciated.

  19. 'Ello everyone! So, a while back I made a post explaining that I had beaten every single Fire Emblem except for Fire Emblem Thracia 776 by now. I've really wanted to play this game, but I haven't been able to properly get it working. Lemme explain... So I use the following: - SNES9x version 1.54. - This base-game ROM: (snip) - This menu patch: https://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?/topic/80126-fe5-unified-thracia-prototype-menu-and-script-translation-through-ch-3/ - Not relevant, but I will be using an online script from SF as well... Okay... so here's my issue. The ROM works fine, I can run it perfectly after downloading it. When I apply the patch, I am informed that it was successfully patched. Then I go to run the patched ROM on SNES9x and it simply does not open. It gives me the yellow error message... something along the lines of "bad_checksum." If anyone can please help me on this matter I would greatly appreciate it. Please just allow for another crazed Fire Emblem fan to finally beat the series... It's all I want.
  20. Right, so i just started Xenogears (surprised as to how smooth a ePSXe runs on my PC but it's not like Xenogears is that technically demanding) and....how do i play? Other than the fact that it's turn-based, i don't really understand this battle system. Any tips are helpful.
  21. Hello fellow FE mates! So, I just recently beat Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. Now the only remaining game in the series that I have yet to play is Thracia 776, but I am having some serious issues finding a working ROM for it. So far I've downloaded four ROMs and all of them have either only been one part of the game translated. All I want is to finally say I've beaten the whole series. Can anyone guide this poor boy to a translation that at least has translated story/dialogue, items, options/moves, and character names? Some translations even mess up on the intro. The very first screen of text introducing the game will have a sentence that starts with gibberish letters like "rn." Anyway, it'd be greatly appreciated. Seeyaround!

I keep running into snapshot errors around FE4 Chapter 7 on Snes9x and I was thinking it was possible So I can pick up from a specific part where I left off in FE4 on Higan emulator rather than deal with Snes9x's annoying snapshot error bug, does anyone know how to do that? It'd make my playthrough a lot more fun if i didnt have to replay huge chunks of gameplay even though i save state consistently.
  23. So I'm currently working on starting a FE inspired D&D campaign with some friends of mine. I plan on using Roll20 as its an online game, and that enables my players to use Avatars. I have been making them mugs based off Official art from the in game characters, but some of the tweaks required for each character are beyond my ability. So if anyone would be willing to help me out here I'll share my requests. If nobody is willing to work on this for free I'm willing to work out a price for these 2 edits. Thank you :)

I would Like to Preface that I'm hacking FE7 and that I have already repointed to Class table So, I've been having some trouble doing exactly what the title says, associating moving map sprites with a custom class, along with a couple of other problem related to custom classes, easily broken down, they are as follows: 1. In nightmare, when I try to add my custom class number to a class list(say, adding 0x65 to the Class List.txt) I find that it shows up in Class editor, and only Class editor, not even Character Editor, which is in the same folder. Am I doing something wrong? and how do I do it properly? 2. Using GBAGE, I have written over the Peer standing and moving animations with my own custom map and moving sprites. The moving sprite went fine, but I had to repoint the standing sprite, does this have any impact on how nightmare associates the peer with it's repointed standing sprite, or no?(as in, does night, mare still point to where the old sprite is, or where I repointed it to using GBAGE when I imported a Bitmap) 3. when I open nightmare(specifically the Class editor) and scroll down to my custom Class (0x65) I notice that there is a option for choosing the standing map sprite of the custom class, but none for choosing the moving map sprites, how should I go about associating the moving sprites with a new class? That should be it for now, I will add more questions relating to this topic whenever I get the chance. Note, Currently, problem number one is the one Im trying to solve the most, as I know ignoring it now will lead to me beating my head against the keyboard at a later date(though that is not to say that my head has not already made contact with the desk multiple times) Thanks in advance!
