  1. Hi everyone, i'm new to Serenes Forest but have been on the Cipher discord.I have been playing Heroes since release and f2p. So far I have 25 five star heroes, with one being a duplicate Ninian. I also have been using Camus and Xander as four stars on my horse team. Here's the list: Alfonse: Neutral Marth: +Spd -Res Saber: +Atk -Spd Zephiel: Neutral Young Tiki: +HP -Res Celica: +Res -Def Leo: +Res -Atk Sharena: Neutral Brave Lucina: Neutral Free Choice Azura: Neutral Effie: +Res -HP Clive: Neutral Mathilda: +HP -Res Tana: +Atk -Spd Hinoka: +Res -Def Ninian: +Atk -Spd and +HP -Res Delthea: +Atk -Def Raven: +Spd -Res Hawkeye: +Res -Atk Hector: +Res -Atk Nino: +Spd -HP Takumi: +Res -Def Brave Lyn: +Def -Atk Maria: +HP -Atk (really only good for grinding, as well as my 1st 5 star summon) Overall the only bad things about my selection is the number of blue units compared to others as well as some IV's. I'll throw out some of my ideas and see what everyone thinks: Quadstrike Infantry Buffed Raven, Brave Lucina, Delthea, Azura/Ninian Pros: High Damage, Brave Lucina and Delthea can be good in battle as well Cons: Low defense, someone will die in Arena Tana or Dancer Armor Emblem Tana or Ninian/Azura, Hector, Zephiel, Effie Never tried this team out but could work, though Tana could die due to needing to fly ahead for Guidance. Horse Emblem Brave Lyn, Leo, Xander 4 star, Camus 4 star I have the buffs they want, but upgrading them and getting Raurblade+ for Leo is 60k feathers though the regular version works fine. This team could survive with Xander and Leo defending, maybe Camus having Renewal and Reciprocal Aid for Quick Riposte Leo. I can level a Reinhardt but my 2 aren't +Atk. Dragon Emblem Young Tiki, 4 star Nowi, 4 star Fae, Ninian Fortify Dagons sadly doesn't stack, but Ninian doesn't need the buff herself. My dragons don't have optimal IV's but would work. Renewal and Reciprocal Aid/Ardent Sacrifice? Hone Nino Nino, Alfonse, Sharena, Rallier Focusing on Gronnblade+, Nino could be pretty impressive, but not a Cecelia on Horse Emblem My Old Arena Team Delthea, Hector, Azura, Yong Tiki, swap one for bonus unit I lose against some Horse Emblem, especially Brave Lyn. Overall i'm happy with my units and this has opened me up to choices I've never thought about. I've been wanting to use Leo since I got him early on but never did. Wish I got Summer Leo but Celica showed up instead. I'd love to hear everyone's suggestions and their own personal teams as well. :)
  2. It has been a while since we got some Healer Adjustments via some Passives Skills. However even through the addition of this Skills Healers lack tools in terms of Repositioning and/or Damage to varant/justify a Spot in an Arena Team and are still deemed worthless outside of Training Tower, Tempest Trial etc. The Lack of Legendary Weapons on the Healer/Stave user side, doesnt help this Term either. Stave users are currently the only Class without any form of Legendary Weapon as an Access. This is a List of Assists/Skills/Weapons i would like to see introduced to elevate this to some degree: Teleportation and Warp can be used on Units that havent suffered any DMG at all yet. Divine Veil Passive: This extends also the range of Cardinal Direction Debuffs from 1 tile/line to 3 in each direction In Addition to this new Skills the following Addition/Changes should be made: Assists: Martyr: Abolishment of the +1 Cooldown, increase of minimum HP Restored from +7HP to +10HP Mend: Increasing the Restored HP from 10 HP to 15 HP Physic: Increasing the Restored HP from 8 HP to 15 HP Reconcile: Increasing the Restored HP from 7 HP to 10 HP Recover: Increasing the Restored HP from 15HP to 20HP, Abolishment of the +1 Cooldown Rehabilitate: Abolishment of the +1 Cooldown, increase of minimum HP Restored form +7HP to +10 HP Specials: Heavenly Light: Increased the Restored HP from 10 HP to 20 HP Kindled Fire-Balm: grants all allies +6 ATK instead of 4 Solid Earth-Balm: grants all allies +6 DEF instead of 4 Still Water-Balm: grants all allies +6 RES instead of 4 Swift Winds-Balm: grant all allies +6 SPD instead of 4 Passives A-Slot: - Abolishment of the A-Slot Skill Inheritence Restriction, giving Stave Users the Ability Inherit all A-Slot Skills that Tome users can use too, with the Exeption to Triangle Adept not being inheritable still Passives B-Slot: - Abolishment of Seal-Skills Skill Inheritance Restriction (example Seal atk etc.) - Abolishment of Poison Strike Skill Inheritance Restriction - Introduction of Stave-Breaker Skill for All Units to inherit Passives C-Slot: 2 New Infantery Healer (not usable by Elise and Priscilla due to movement type restrictions) excklusive Passives: - Fortify Infantery, same as the other Emblem buffs - Hone Infantery, same as the other Emblem buffs Thoughts from you guys? Any other Ideas you guys have? I am just sick seeing Healers underperform so much and be basicly worthless for anything outside of Tempest Trial and Training Tower. Of course I am well aware that Infantery melee Units need help too
  3. Hey everyone, I'm back with another interview. This time it's Kyle McCarley, the voice of Alm in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia as well as Fire Emblem Heroes. He also did Soren's voice for Heroes. He gave some incredibly in depth answers about the process of auditioning and recording for Echoes and Heroes. He also had some really cool insights about Alm's character that he does without getting into any spoilers. I had a blast conducting it and hope you enjoy it too. https://comedyngaming.com/news/interview-kyle-mccarley-voice-alm-fire-emblem-echoes
  4. ...Celica has apparently been leaked onto the Japanese website. https://events.fire-emblem-heroes.com/omikuji#!/result/f79b284ae70afb0f No one seems to be aware of this, am I first?
  5. So i have to ask what is a good unit to counter takumi with he's way to op.

  7. So apologies if your not supposed to start a thread this way still knew still getiing used to it. Anyway I have a question about the voting gauntlet and Ill try and make this as clear as possible cause I am horrible with explanations. Its just a real general question so sorry if it sounds stupid. So when you pick your teams how do you know whats going on with them winning or losing; besides the obvious. Is it because so many people have picked that team. Or is it in reality 6 people decided to play the voting gauntlet that have picked a side and it comes down to 2 people at the end leading the army. I read that you get friends and random people put into your army but just, how does it all go? Is it everyone online or really just 6 people is what Im trying to say I guess.
  8. This one's probably going to be an odd question and I don't know if someone's already done this, but thought I might throw this out as a question to any math/probability nerds around (and all glory and honor to thee, math nerds, because even though I'm a university history major most high school math lies far beyond my grasp) but I was trying to work this out for a friend of mine who's been stockpiling her orbs. She's waiting on some of her faves (one blue and one green both in the 4*-5* group specifically) and I'm trying to figure out if it works out better from a probability point of view for her to just stick to summoning blue and green or if it works out better from a probability vs. cost point of view to just keep doing a full summon each time. So, trying to work it out myself, I started with identifying the number of each unit in-game by color and star: 5* - Red 18, Blue 12, Green 9, Colorless 9 4* - Red 26, Blue 19, Green 15, Colorless 20 3* - Red 15, Blue 12, Green 9, Colorless 13 And then I tried to break each down to a percentage chance per unit by color: Red Orb: 3% for Focus (if applicable) 3% for 5*, 1/18 of 3% which would basically work out to 0.167% per character 36% for 4*, 1/26 of 36% which would basically work out to 1.38% per character 61% for 3*, 1/15 of 61% which would basically work out to 4.07% per character Blue Orb: 3% for Focus (if applicable) 3% for 5*, 1/12 of 3% which would basically work out to 0.25% per character 36% for 4*, 1/19 of 36% which would basically work out to 1.89% per character 61% for 3*, 1/12 of 61% which would basically work out to 5.08% per character Green Orb: 3% for Focus (if applicable) 3% for 5*, 1/9 of 3% which would basically work out to 0.33% per character 36% for 4*, 1/15 of 36% which would basically work out to 2.4% per character 61% for 3*, 1/9 of 61% which would basically work out to 6.78% per character Colorless: 3% for Focus (if applicable) 3% for 5*, 1/9 of 3% which would basically work out to 0.33% per character 36% for 4*, 1/20 of 36% which would basically work out to 1.8% per character 61% for 3*, 1/13 of 61% which would basically work out to 4.69% per character But this leaves me with a few questions that I was hoping anyone who's been working with stats for the game so far would be able to clarify: If the color isn't in focus, does that 3% just not apply? Is there an equal chance of getting the four different colors in a five-summon group or is it distributed based on the number of units in each category? (With higher chance for example of red showing up in a summoning block than, say, green?) And if one could work out an overage or a percentage of the number of times that a color would appear in the summoning group, could one then use this to more or less predict, if dumping a set number of orbs in (say 100 orbs in one batch for example), what the probability would be of coming up with certain characters? Most of what I'm managing to accomplish with this is hurting my brain at this point, lol, but I'm wondering if anyone could either fill in some blanks or make corrections to where I'm making any wrong assumptions or guesswork on this.
  9. Who should I unlock potential on? All of these characters that are eligible would be good units. What would compliment my team the most? Right now, my team is Eldigan, Nino, Sakura, and Hinoka. Any ideas?
  10. Pretty much everybody agrees that the promotion cost from 4* to 5* is steep. After a month, most people have barely enough Feathers to promote a single unit. Nintendo seemed to have partly heard out pleas, with the 10K feather giveaway and the Arena quests last month, but the giveaway was not a viable long term source of Feathers, and the Arena Quests have strangely not returned this month. To put that into perspective, if you get max Offense and Defense scores in the Arena for a week, as well as Rank in the top 100,000, it would take you over 7 weeks just to promote one unit from 4* to 5*. Almost two months for one unit seems way too long. Sure, you might eek out a few more Feathers by ranking higher, but that's not a sure thing, and getting any Defense Wins at all isn't either, so it might take even longer to accumulate 20K. Dropping the cost down to 5K seems a lot more fair, since that would mean a couple decent weeks in the Arena could give you enough Feathers to raise a character to 5*. What are other people's thoughts?
  11. As the post title says, let's talk about our current active/main teams!People like me are total noobs in this game, so a bit of help from the Fire Emble veterans would be great!Right now i am using Camilla,Cain,Marth and Linde all 5stars.Maybe in the future Sakura will take a place in my team as a healer.Gunter 4stars was my forth till i got Cain that took his place...I miss his defense though! (Chapter 9 Normal - Chapter 6 Hard - Arena 2406)
  12. After hearing a good amount of the Fire Emblem Heroes cast's VAs, older characters now have new voices to represent them. But some aren't as fitting as others. For example I think they really nailed Cecilia's VA. Nice and Mature, mostly how I imagined it. But some, like Lilina, aren't how I pictured them at all. Lilina was supposed to have a kind soft voice, but in Heroes she has a high squeaky voice. Maybe I am the only one who feels this way... but if anyone does feel similarly, which character do you feel this about and why? Also, is it me, or is Travis Willingham doing a MUCH deeper voice for Lon'qu than he did in Awakening? Cause whatever he is doing I don't like it either. Same goes for Karen Strassmen and Olivia. She delivers her voice more like she did with Nanako in P4, which is a great voice, just not Olivia's semi maturish voice.
  13. We all know what people have been getting, but know we're going to talk about which units we want to get. For me, as many people know by know I really want to get Leo, but he's only got a 0.08% chance of dropping, so I'll likely never get him, unless they make a way for him to appear otherwise or they implement trading. I'd like to get the lordly FE7 trio, but have had no luck, thus far. I've been pretty lucky getting some of my other favorites, like Est and Nino, even if they were only 3 Stars. I don't know when Tellius characters will get released, but their absence has made me realize what a high percentage of my favorite units come from there. I'll definitely want Soren, Ike, Micaiah, Titania, Kieran, Jill, and Elincia once they get released, plus maybe a few others I'm forgetting at the moment. So, who else really wants that one unit that just won't drop or hasn't been released yet?
  14. So far, my team has: Tiki (Young) - High damage and physically tanky, however, she's pretty slow. Probably the most useful team member Julia - Extremely high damage and dragon killer, also kind of a res tank. For a while I was using Florina for my blue, but she fell behind and can barely do any damage, along with being killed easily. I decided to replace her, so my other five-star blues are Cordelia and Abel. I saw a lot of people saying that Abel is great in the current meta for arena, since he's blue and has Swordbreaker. On the other hand, Cordelia is already pretty great because of Galeforce. Which of them is better for my team? I also have Kagero, but I don't know if I should keep her. She's great at annihilating infantry units and mages, but kind of feel like my team already has too many squishy units. I also have Clarine, but healers don't seem to be that important in this game. Olivia seems like she could be good, thanks to her dancing and attack buffs. So, I'm mostly debating over her or Kagero. Which of them would be better? By the way, everyone I'm talking about is a 5* unit, including Kagero. Thanks!
  15. So, after looking through the full results of the Fire Emblem Heroes poll results, I found of a lot of unique placements of the FE4(Ishtar scored more than most of the cast. Which is interesting.) and 5 characters(Carrion and Olwen scored absurdly high compared to the rest of the FE5 cast.). Also, some characters I thought would score higher than others didn't.(I think Dew scored higher than Lewyn.) SO I have decided to see where the cast lies since so many of the placements were surprising to me. Vote for your Favorite Female Characters in Fire Emblem 4! 16. Anyone have any ideas on who I should train up to beat chapter 9-5 on Lunatic? Would be good to finish it before summoning again.
  17. So, It seems like they nerfed most legendary weapons, so the lords don't overshadow other characters. But the balance bitween them is completely off. Roy's Sword of Seals, one of the most OP legendary weapons ever, got nerfed badly. It Lost a lot of the protection buffs( DEF and RES in smaller values and limited use), but more importantly, It Lost the iconic ranged flame atack. Ryoma got a ranged counter at the same power, but of course, doesn't have any buffs. Are you kidding me that small +2 DEF/RES is a Fair trade off for the lack of a ranged counter? Takumi has both close and ranged counters, and his weapon has the same power, with an added colorless advantage( although the Double ranged counter is from his skill). That only shows how completely off their balance is. I can only imagine the disapointment when Ike and his Ragnel comes with the lost ranged atack. Do you think they will rebalance this stuff? Takumi needs an emergency nerf, like seriously.

  19. So my first and final team in my line-up is. 5 Star Camilla 4 Star Cordellia 4 Star Setsuna 4 Star Eliwood Pretty good it kicks butt so what are some other teams out there that you guys are doing well with what are some of your teams.
  20. So I've compiled some information on the game, including - Playable Unit Data: character name, origin, weapon type, movement type, equippable weapons and skills (Complete) - Weapons: name, might, range, unlocked/defaulted star levels, upgrade cost, effect (99% Complete) - Commands: name, range, unlocked/defaulted star levels, upgrade cost, effect (90% Complete) - Triggers: name, range, turns, unlocked/defaulted star levels, upgrade cost, effect (In Progress) - Passives: name, skill-slot, upgrade cost, effect (99% Complete) The Google Sheet link is here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mdSdiBaT5btVGNg_TZSn9jXDl9xd3oWzhyomOrfPb9I/edit#gid=0 Maybe this can contribute to a future meta? Possible Additions for the future (though no guarantees: I'm actually hoping that someone else does this) - Story Map Data (map layout, starting locations, enemy stats and skill set for each difficulty) - Adding character-specific info on which star-levels they have passive skills - Detailed info on prerequisite weapons/command skills/special skills/passive skills Some Tidbits - As far as I can tell, all Rally commands seem to be unlocked at 3-stars and defaulted at 4-stars. The one exception is the player's starting Sharena (2-star) who has Rally Attack at base. - Michalis, Camus and Sheena has the Iote's Shield, Grani's Shield and Svalinn Shield passive skills, respectively, all of which negate effective damage dealt to said units. These three seem to be the only units in the game to have these particular passives. - Thoron+, Rexcalibur+, Blárwolf, Blárwolf+ are enemy-only. I'm pretty sure that Gronnwolf and Gronnwolf+ are as well, though I have yet to confirm enemies have this. (They are, however, included for the sake of completeness) - The same passive skill progressions (e.g. HP +3, HP +4, HP +5) may be unlocked at different star-levels for different units. This is the reason why I haven't added unlocked star-levels for Passives. However, an overwhelming number (all?) of them are available at 1 star-2 stars-4 stars OR 3 stars-4 stars-5 stars, apart from a few exceptions (e.g. Close Counter, Lunge) which don't progress in three. Note that no units come with Passive skills at base. - No playable unit so far has the Ward Flier or Goad Cavalry passive skills.
  21. Any minor things you'd like to see added to the game? For me, there's two I can think of. First: A way to swap units directly from the Battle Map Select Menu. Right now, we have to go to the Allies screen, then go to Edit teams, then go all the way back through the Battle menu again. A way to quickly swap out members would be appreciated. We have 5 "quick slots" or whatever they're called, but I have a core team of 10 members that I swap around, depending on the enemy makeup, and it seems like an unnecessary hassle. The only time I really have a "set team" is for Arena. Second: A Unit deployment screen before the battles. I'm not sure if it's intended, but I've been screwed over in several maps by having my units in the worst possible spots to start out in. Sure, Maria's going to start locked in a room with Ryoma. This will go well. Anybody else think of minor changes to game mechanic that would be nice?
  22. Fire Emblem Heroes is working fine on my phone, and I thought I would have an alt account (not linked or anything) on Bluestacks. Set it up, was working fine earlier but now I can't log in. I constantly get an error. Is it some kind of soft ban or something else? Been trying for the past 10 minutes while my stamina recharges on my phone. I used an apk as well.
  23. They have a map together!!!! Implied canonical relationship or just a coincidence? I would go with the prior.
  24. So about these special maps how do I go about getting them.
  25. Source: http://nintendoeverything.com/fire-emblem-heroes-receiving-new-special-maps-starting-tomorrow/ Also, found on: https://www.reddit.com/r/FireEmblemHeroes/ I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned already, but this connects to the topic on the news post: Starting in a few hours, we'll have new special maps each week for five weeks. Each one you beat gives three orbs, and there are two difficulty levels, meaning that's 6 orbs per week for 5 weeks - 30 total! I'm very happy to see this, since more orbs are always good, and they're not being too stingy with orb-giving events. Let's hope the trend continues and we get even more opportunities for free orbs in the future.
