Yo, so first I'm going to start off by saying the usual thing that most people say in their introduction. I have been a lurker on these forums for 2 1/2years. Last year, February of 2013 I made an account but forgot to click the confirmation link, so there goes that. Anyways... Here I am today. What I should've did was post my introduction on the first day right? No, you're wrong there. You see, I have a ritual (lol) where I introduce myself 1 to 2 months after joining a forum. Now, going back on track I noticed a template which can be used for introductions, and since I'm lazy right now I've decided to use it rather than throw a barrage of text at everyone like I usually do. Otherwise, it's September. Favourite FE Game: I did enjoy Genealogy of the holy war, but I like Blazing sword better. Favorite Game (other than FE): I can't decide. It's currently tied between Asura's Wrath, Tales of Symphonia, and Shadow of the Colossus. Favourite FE Character: Denning, because most people I know dislike him. Least Favourite game: The call of duty franchise, Puzzle games. Sports: I used to play Volleyball competitively. Online friends: I don't have any irl friends that go on the same forums I do, but I have a lot of online friends. Favourite music: I don't listen to music really much. Favourite artist/band: ... 'Sup, everyone? I made my debut here last night hanging out with some lovely folks on the chat. The name's Banryu; no need to capitalize it when addressing me, I just capsed it because it looks cool. I'm a big FE fan and I've known about SFF for a while now, so I suppose me joining is a bit late in coming, but better late than never I suppose? I'm in the US and thus my first introduction to the series was SSB Melee, as well as the followup US release of Blazing Sword. I've also played a bit of Sacred Stones and own Radiant Dawn and of course Awakening. I love both the strategy and the relationships, and I particularly like how most of the games up until the Shadow Dragon remake don't oversexualize their character designs, a simple design choice that I've always approved of. Eh, but maybe I'm going a bit overboard on introductions. Sorry, tendency to ramble and all that. Any other relevant information...? Well, I like to have intelligent conversations and debates with people, and I try to keep it respectful, though I do sometimes get a little heated / blunt / rude-- though usually I try to do it for comedic effect, I typically mean no offense. I might try to do some RP on here, or more likely just confer mad strats for Awakening Streetpass stuff. I suppose that just about does it…? Oh yeah, one more thing. I'm Batman.

I play tons of video games in my free time, draw, and play with my cat. My absolute favorite Fire Emblem is currently awakening. Umm... not sure what else to say... Nice to meet you all!

Okay, uh, hi there. I'm Glaceon Mage, though most Internet folk call me Glac. Some tack an 'e' on the end and call me Glace, some just write out Glaceon, and one very specific person calls me GM. Maybe others will in the future. I dunno. Okay so, moving past Pokémon and Fire Emblem, which I obviously like based on my screenname and my presence here, respectively, I enjoy Legend of Zelda, Kore wa Zombie Desu Ka?, Fairy Tail, The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Shadow Children, Smash Bros., and most Mario RPGs. I don't like the platformers nearly as much since I can't platform to save my life. As far as Fire Emblem goes, I've beaten 7, 8, 10, and 13 and have played at least a bit of 2, 6, 9, 11, and 12. My favorite lords are Micaiah and Roy, and my least favorite lords are Chrom and Ike. At least Ike has gameplay godhood to save him. Chrom doesn't even have that. I'm probably the most lenient shipper in existence. I ship almost everybody except Ninian with around ten bazillion other characters. What does erk me, however, is any ship involving Mark, Chris, or Robin shipped for any reason other than gameplay. This is probably because I stereotype the supporters of those ships as obsessive fanboys/girls, and I know I should really stop doing so. It's kind of hard, but I'll get out of that habit with time. Overall, the only 'ship I ever show preference toward is Eliwood/Ninian, even then, I have no problems with Eliwood/Fiora and I just prefer to ignore Eliwood/Lyn since Lyn isn't Illian. My username comes from the fact that my two favorite characters of all time are Luigi and Shadow the Hedgehog. Please just call me Alison~ I'm a Fire Emblem noob, since I only started getting into the series the beginning of 2013 (thank Fire Emblem: Awakening). I've known what Fire Emblem is, thanks to Marth and other FE characters appearing in Super Smash Bros, but never had the thought to try it. That was a big mistake. Anyways, I thought I'd join because I could learn about the series more from veterans, and talk with others about videogames. Series I like include Super Mario Bros, Sonic the Hedgehog, Pokemon, Hetalia, The Legend of Zelda, Super Smash Bros, Fire Emblem: Awakening, and various others. My favorite FE:A characters include Chrom, Lon'qu, Gaius, Stahl, Lissa, Olivia, Nowi, and various others. I love to draw pictures, write stories, read books, and of course play videogames in my free time. Anyway, pleased to meet you!

I know I stirred up a lot of controversy in how I quit these forums, especially since I made an alt account shortly after which eventually got banned. The best explanation I can give was that I was in a dark place in my life and turned to videogames as a way to escape life's pressures, which eventually spiralled out of control. That's behind me now. I'm in good health, have a job, going to university in a program I like and while I'm not necessarily brimming with happiness, I am level headed and focused on what I want out of life. That being said, there's something about FE: Radiant Dawn that has me always coming back for more, no matter how hard I've tried to stay away from the game. So I figured I might as well give in and there isn't any harm in playing the game a couple of hours a day so long as I don't neglect my other responsibilities. There's nothing wrong with having a hobby, even if that hobby is playing a strategy RPG. It makes me forget about time, I just love and crave planning out chapters and exhibiting my strategies through speedrunning. I couldn't think of a better way to unwind after a hard day's work, and I don't care how strange that sounds. I can't say I miss debating tier lists since that always seems to devolve into an unresolvable philosophical shitstorm about how units are actually compared. Hence the wealth of alternate & experimental tier lists, and topics like this and this. Thus, I probably won't even be logging in here that much, but rather spending time actually making videos and streaming my attempts. Speaking of which, I am pretty angry at myself about deleting my original "Vykan12" youtube and am vigilantly working to restore all the videos I deleted (at least the ones I cared about). So far I've restored most of it, with the following remaining: -Some FE6 warpskip videos (about halfway done) -FE10 low turn count videos -Some special FE10 videos (eg/ Kill Hetzel in 1 turn, 11 triangle attacks in 1 turn) In addition to that, I will be working on an FE10 TAS as soon as I get my capture card working and 2 new FE10 speedruns (hard mode 43 segment run & easy mode single segment). Tl;dr, I hope I didn't tarnish my reputation too much with my ragequitting antics. I've given so much to this community, the topics I have stickied alone should be evidence of that. It would be a pity if some lapse of judgment I had a long time ago would make people remember me with contempt. Though if that's the case, there's nothing I can really do.

Hello everyone, I've been playing fire emblem games since they have been released In English. It is probably my favorite series. I haven't played Awakening yet since I lack a 3DS. (I can't wait to play it) So a little about me: I'm a college student. My intended major is history I'll likely double in psychology or philosophy. After lurking around on these forums for awhile due to my purchase of FE Awakening I decided to make an account. I First played FE 7 and then went on to Sacred Stones but eventually lost interest until Awakening so now I'm aiming to play the rest of the games in the series for fun. So in summary...yo.

Just played Fire Emblem: Awakening for a whopping 70 hour+ as my first official experience with the Fire Emblem franchise. It was phenomenal, looking forward to participating to the forum discussions and possibly find more gamers to connect with and game with as well (got a PS3).
