  1. Greetings. I'm Roderick, a generally decent enough guy with a bizarre attitude at times. I've been thinking of joining the Forest of Serenes for a good while now, and I guess this is my attempt at tiptoeing onto the waters. What will I do in this not-so-shallow pond? I'll probably lurk around the hacking community. I've had some hack ideas for a while, and have even (secretly) tried to execute some of them. Other than that, I was thinking of doing some Screenshot LP's, just for the hell of it. Seems like fun. Plus it gets me exposure, which is always kind of a nice thing. So... The question some of you might have pondered... How do I fit in the FE-fandom? Well, I started with Awakening, but as I ventured into the """""Elitist""""" grounds, I learned I enjoyed the GBA titles (specifically Blazing Sword) a LOT more than Awakening, so I turned from a newbie, to a newbie with an oldie mind... Or, something like that. I prefer the older games, but the newer ones are still great, even if they have... glaring, issues at places... cough cough, Fates's Story, cough cough, Echoes Gameplay, cough cough... So yeah, good to be here, and I'm ecstatic for any and all encounters in this Jungle of Herons and Crows... And some other bird analogy I can't think of right now.
  2. Hello! I just joined, I am quite surprised I didn't know of this site before. Someone told me about it, so here I am. I am pretty excited on being here, if I'm being honest. I do have a OC, in which that's can't be no surprise since people tend to make an OC of fandoms they heavily enjoy and want to more part of it. I have no shame in it, and I might be when I'm old and realize what a nerd I was, but right now; No regrets.
  3. Hey there, serenesforest. Figured I should at least start the process towards posting in ere. So I only started playing FE in 2016 with Fates Birthright, but I didn't really get hooked. But then I played FE7. And now I like this series too much. I know this is very typical but my favorite of the series is FE7. I can't explain it, but it just feels right, y'know? So far I've beaten FE7, FE8, FE13, all paths of FE14, and FE15. I'm working on finishing all of em though. Someday... I'm currently working on an FEXP project (yeah I know it's not a good but it's the best I got right now) , but it's just a little game for a group of friends, not really anything special. Favorite characters in the series so far are Eliwood, Joshua, Dozla, Marcia, Henry, Gregor, Jesse, and Deen. Outside of FE I love Zelda, Pokemon, Kirby and Splatoon the most. Was that too much? I dunno. Might as well be thorough
  4. Known about Serenes Forest for years, and finally decided to make an account. I really enjoy the Fire Emblem series, and got into the series with Radiant Dawn. Played most games in the series, and enjoy the Tellius games the most out of the series. I do apologize for keeping it short, not too sure on what else to say.
  5. Hello internet users! I'm new to this forum, I joined because I like reading let's plays and opinions about fire emblem units. I may do topics about pokemon nuzlockes (when I get the chance to make topics in other forums, seriously how what do I do to be able to?), as this is a game I'm actually good at. I'm pretty awful at FE, the only game I completed was FE7 on Eliwood normal mode ;-;
  6. Yaw everyone im kinda new on serenesforest cuz i was watching this forum few years before but i decide to make an account and planning to do something. And i am planning to translate an japanese romhack. But i don't know how everything works i've read the code of conducts but i don't know how to create other topics then ''introduction'' so i hope someone will answer it.
  7. Hello everyone, a bit about myself quickly. I got into Fire Emblem through the Sacred Stones on the 3DS, since it was part of the ambassador program. That said, the first game I beat like many others was Awakening. Since then I've been going back to the series as much as possible, playing almost every game released in the west (Radiant Dawn being the only one I haven't played) though I've still have yet to beat all of them, seeing as I'm currently very busy in life. I do at some point want to experience the Japan only games, but that will come at some other time. I also am in college to seek a writing career, and have written some things such as poetry, short stories, and am currently writing a novel. That said, I'm always up for discussion, whether that be Fire Emblem or gaming in general, writing whether that be feedback or advice, or just generally chatting.
  8. You know what? Sure, why not. I'm Kedata. I like frogs. I like to call myself a frog. aaaaaaaaaaaand I'm introducing myself here too. Because I can. Top quality introducing right here that is.... totally not influenced by me being tired right now. But I can talk about where I come from in terms of liking Fire Emblem a lot! I actually first learned of Fire Emblem through Super Smash Bros Brawl since Marth (and Ike) were playable characters in that game. One random day I saw Shadow Dragon as a game on sale and decided to purchase it since, hey, it's that one game that had that Marth guy in it. And, sure, Shadow Dragon is pretty lacking compared to most of the other games, but it was still my first game and I enjoyed it! From there, I've also played PoR, RD, Awakening, Fates (beat Conquest on Lunatic after... a while), and SoV. SoV is actually my current favorite FE just because of it's generally high quality overall. The voice actor was great and Lukas is one of my favorite characters in that game. Python is pretty cool too. I'd play Genealogy and Thracia 776 but they sound like they'd be less user-friendly to play and access due to them being older games (for instance having danger zones on without focusing the tile on one enemy not being a thing, I think). I also tend to be rather sarcastic at times. Shocking, I know, given my tone so far, right? Well, anyways, yeah, I guess I introduced a little about myself. So... mission accomplished? Rambling successful. I could also say that I play HaruFE too (if you know what that is, but it's a fire emblem bot thing on various discord servers) and that my userID on Discord is 151458597962776577. My DiscordID is Kedata ♧#7881. My HaruFE character is named Kei. Oh, and hello to anyone who looks at this and/or says hi to the me that is saying hi to random onlookers like you!
  9. So I realized I was a little late on doing this, and my first topic wasn't my introduction despite intending it to be... Phew. Anyway, I'm excited to be here and excited to introduce myself officially to the Community, I'm Rook. I'm a giant Fire Emblem Nerd, and a long-time lurker of the forums, I love most things Fire Emblem, and I appreciate both the New and Older Games. (Though if I were told to have a preference the Older Games still have my heart a bit for the sake of nostalgia.) I love music, anime, and brewing ideas for Fire Emblem (What kind of Game I'd make, changes I'd want to a game to make it better for me, etc.) as well as discussion topics that border on the controversial such as differences in localization to features and their (un)necessary addition to the games in which they appear. I'm also a giant Survivor TV show nerd but I don't expect to talk much about that on these forums. Anyway, I'm a generally nice guy (at least I try to be), I'm a member of the US Air Force (though that's also not too relevant), and I'm excited to be here and talk with all of you. (If anyone has any questions they'd like to ask feel free, I'm an open book.) I'm very hype for the new Fire Emblem for the Switch, albeit a little quizzical of some of the features. (I'll definitely need more gameplay and another trailer to decide if it's likely to be a good game for me though. Since it's Fire Emblem though, I'm likely to get it anyway.) Nice to be here, and meet you all.
  10. Hello everyone! After two (very busy) weeks since my registration, I finally get to introduce myself to you all. My name is Auramaster, and I'm from East Coast USA. I've seen this fascinating website several times while searching for Fire Emblem information, and I finally decided to join in on the fun. I hope to talk with many fellow fans and participate in community discussions, because FE is one of my favorite series. The main reason I like Fire Emblem is its ability to weave strategic, challenging, and fun gameplay in with interesting characters. That type of narrative and action is what I look for in a video game. I also like delving into the lore of the FE world and learning about how all the royals and dragons are connected. I've been playing Fire Emblem since Awakening came out (Wow, its been over 5 years). I played the demo and immediately knew it was the type of game for me. Along with FE13, I've played FE14 Conquest and Revelation Routes. Up next on my list is Shadows of Valentia, but I am interested in the older games as well, especially the ones from the GBA era with their stunning battle animations. Any recommendations are certainly welcome. Overall, Awakening is my favorite so far. And while my opinions may come from a small pool of games, my favorite lord is probably Lucina, for her courage in the face of the apocalypse. The other video games/series that I enjoy are Persona, Overwatch, and a bit of Pokemon. Of course, I am up to talking about them here as well. I hope I get to get to know everyone over the coming days and share my love of Fire Emblem with you all! All of the best, Auramaster
  11. Hey everyone, my name is lawrence(or larry, your preference). I'm from the States(west coast bay area.) Started the fire emblem franchise fairly late. First game was Awakening, only played through the Birthright path, and now playing Fire Emblem Heroes. My favorite characters are Nino, Takumi, and Lucina. Nino, cause she's pretty strong in Fire Emblem Heroes and my first and only +10 so far. Takumi, cause he carried me through my playthrough of Birthright. He also was my first 5-star in Fire Emblem Heroes, and helped carry me through the early stages of FEH. Lucina has pretty gorgeous artwork. I visited Japan and I went to Akihabara and was able to find some spectacular art of Fire Emblem Cipher. After buying some singles and booster packs for my friends and myself, I wanted to get into the game. I joined this forum, so I can get a better understanding of Fire Emblem Cipher. Regarding Fire Emblem Cipher, I wanted to invest in some top tier tournament decks so I can play with my friends and others. Although I have other ambitions in mind, this is my priority. If someone can help me or point me in the right direction of getting started, I would gladly appreciate it. Other than that, thanks for welcoming me, and I hope to make your acquaintance soon!
  12. Hello! You can call me Sylvi! I'm new to these forums, what's it like here? As far as Fire Emblem goes, I got into the series with Awakening, and have been playing Shadows of Valentia lately, as well as Heroes on my phone! I actually got really into the series a few years ago, kinda fell out of it for a bit since I didn't play Fates, but recently got into it again full force! Outside of Fire Emblem, I really like drawing! I also like to watch anime, and read a bit of manga! I would love to make friends on here, feel free to message me on Discord as well! I'm SleepySylvi#0444 That's about all I have to say for an introduction I guess! I'd love to meet you all!
  13. Hi! To summarize my rambly profile, I'm Katrov. I like OCs, learning about OCs, making my own OCs, drawing them etc, my main is Katrov, my Nohrian butler/fates avatar :') (here's his toyhou.se profile if anyone wants to read more about him etc :") ) I really like Fates although I've only finished Conquest(and like 2/3ish through Revelations but stopped after marrying my ultimate Wolfssenger Shigure haha) and don't have any desire to play Birthright. Awakening was my first game and I will always fondly remember how Chrom forcibly married me because I didn't know how S-Supports worked LOL I just wanted to marry angsty Lon'qu- I spend a lot of time playing Heroes and am always salty over my horrible RNG luck on there sob Also Gregor is under-rated even though my friend thinks he's creepy smh he's a good man and those crit lines //thumbs up May your emblems stay fire and have a pleasant day!
  14. Hey all been lurking around on forums for a little while so I figured I would finally make an account and introduce myself. So you can call me Raz been into fire emblem for awhile now and recently started playing cipher.
  15. Hey everyone, I'm Milanor, or Mila, whichever you want to refer to me as. Anyways, here is some background info about me. I'm a graduate student studying software engineering and I've first been introduced to the Fire Emblem series over a decade ago, back when Sacred Stones first came out. One of my friends told me about it and after seeing him play it, I got interested in learning how to play an RTS game or tactical strategy game of the kind. On my first time, I was really bad at the series and didn't really understand strategy or grasped the concept itself. I remember sending Seth, the main pre-promo unit just slaughtering all the enemies including the boss and not training my lords (Eirika and Ephraim) at all. I couldn't finish the run at all, and it wasn't until I've played Fire Emblem - Blazing Sword that I've learned how to properly play an RTS. Over the years, I've watched LPers, tried strategies all around, as well hints and tips from all over the Internet and became proficient at the Fire Emblem series. I consider myself a highly experienced player of the Fire Emblem series, but not somewhere around the expert level (I tend to avoid hard mode mainly because it's quite tedious and of course, difficult.) - in other words, I'm more of a casual player. Anyways, I found out about Serenes Forest many years ago (probably as far back as 2010), but never really thought about joining until now. I've played through many fire emblem games, mainly the GBA series and Geneology of the Holy War (FE4). My favorite FE game based on the ones I've played is Sacred Stones, mainly because of the usefulness of almost all the characters, the difficulty is friendly to newcomers (at least in Normal Mode), has a overworld map (really like that), has places to grind (newbie friendly) such as the Tower and Ruins, and finally, lots of usability between character classes (each character can choose to promote to either one of two classes), pairings, and gives you a lot of leeway in the late game. As of now, apart from school and IRL stuff, I'm interested in getting my foot in the door towards fire emblem rom hacking, starting from the most basic level. I've played Blazer's FE rom hack "The Last Promise" and it was very enjoyable indeed. After playing through his rom hack, and seeing the additional part of the Fire Emblem community here, I'm inspired to create an easier mode for FE6, which would be me gateway into the FE rom hacking world. Feel free to ask me anything else you want to know about me. -Milanor
  16. Wait, What? that's a mundane phrase, and also my name. Any confusion between the two is entirely intentional, or at least expected. I joined because I like Fire Emblem (it would be troublesome if I didn't) and because a forum that is entirely the colour green is very stylish indeed. I've played Awakening, an easy game with a simple story, and Conquest, a difficult game with a... contentious story. I may had played earlier games if they weren't currently largely (virtual) console exclusive. still fun to discuss (or laugh at.) And now I will be mocked relentlessly because I play bad games. At least awakening lets you field an army of 12 wyvern lords, or something equally silly.
  17. How's it hangin everyone. Name's MuricanPope, (or Pope either or), and I'm here to basically give the low down about me. I'm not the greatest when it comes to editing things like sprites and maps(lol this is my bane). I've played a majority of the FE games from Gaiden/SoV,all of Geno but 1/2 of Thracia 776, 6-8, 11-15/Warriors and have now started doing some stupid randomizers. My favorite person who kinda got me into doing all this was a YouTuber by the name of GhastStation which has been nothing but an inspiration and helped me through all the GBA FE stuff and I can't thank him enough. Also Mangs but he's all comedy. But otherwise I hope to meet up with some cool peeps and maybe even do some collab stuff if you're interested. It's been weird doin this "Get to know me" but I hope to see/meet some dank peeps out here. Peace out and have a nice day/afternoon/evening/night.
  18. Hello there fellow FE fans! Thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. My name's Des, and I figured I'd make an account since I lurk here so much. I got into the series a few years ago when a friend saw me playing Lord of the Rings: The Third Age on my Game Boy Advance. She was so right when she said I would like Fire Emblem; since then I've beat Awakening and started both Sacred Stones and Birthright. I'm waiting for my download of Conquest to finish as I type this. I play the games for the story, but I find few things in life as satisfying as cooking up a crazy strategies and seeing if they work out the way I imagine. Some of my FE Favorites (based on the games I've played thus far): Game: FE 13 Character: Donnel (but Eirika is a close second) Boss: Candace Class: Kinshi Knight Weapon: Levin Sword Item: Boots I've been playing video games since before I could read, so they're kind of part of my identity at this point. In terms of favorite series, Fire Emblem is second only to the Elder Scrolls. As for real life...I recently graduated from college with a BA in economics and am eager to start my new job as a data analyst in the next month or so. Happy Holidays everybody! I can't wait to get involved in the forums here!
  19. Hello all, I've been lurking at SF for a while and decided to make an account today. I'm 19 years old and I'm currently in my 2nd year of college (back story, I started school early) and I'm an aspiring Media & Comms major. Other than FE, I like Pokemon (I'm also on Smogon too, maybe some of y'all have seen me if you go there?), Legend of Zelda, and any game released by Atlus (especially SMT and Persona). I also enjoy drawing, graphic design, exploring new places, and staring into space while thinking about life : ]. Anyways I hope we can all be friends, if not, then that's ok too Favorite Game - Radiant Dawn FE10 Least Favorite Game - Shadow Dragon FE12 Favorite Characters - L'Arachel, Nils, Oboro, Genny, Fae, Kieran, Charlotte, Serra Least Favorite Characters - Meg, any character with a boring personality Favorite Class - Troubadours, Pegasus Knights, Mages, and Wyvern Riders Least Favorite Class - Knights (except Effie) Favorite Quotes - "I. Don't. LIKE YOU" (Genny), "I'm gonna tear you in half" (Charlotte), "...disgusting..." (incest twins)
  20. Hey there everyone! My name is Lucas and I've been around Serenes Forest for a while, typically just using it as a resource for the games, as well as a resource for finding other Fire Emblem related content, but now I figure is as good a time as any to start trying to be a part of the community in some way, shape, or form. As for a little bit about me, I'm a 24 year old Canadian currently living in the U.K. trying to give my career a kick start and have a little fun while I'm here. As for my Fire Emblem experience, I'm by no means a total expert in the intricacies of the games, but I enjoy them nonetheless and I'd say I'm at least somewhat tactically savvy. My first Fire Emblem game was FE7 from back in middle school, which still remains my favourite installment to date. Not to say I haven't enjoyed the others. I also really like the Tellius games and Echoes. And Heroes, for a different kind of gameplay. I like to challenge myself with different kinds of challenges, but usually ones that get me to use characters that I wouldn't normally use or leave out ones that I would. I'm not one to jump straight into Lunatic mode. Maybe one day lol. I also like to write and have an Awakening fanfiction on the go which I've kind of lost a bit of motivation to continue but hopefully posting on the appropriate forum for that will spark my creative juices again. Look out for it. Hope to hear from some of you on here soon. Lucas
  21. Just dropping in to introduce myself and say hello... I joined a few minutes ago. I've anonymously stalked these forums for a while but it looks like a fun place so here I am. I'm Sarah! Hi.
  22. Hi all ! I'm a tacticals and fire emblem aficionado, enthusiast about drawing, casually making pixelart ans more generaly creating stuff including small games. Learned about emulation a few weeks ago, so I'll probably give a try to the bunch of rom hacks that are hanging on this site, and likely try to sprite some more custom gba FE in order to make a lil' fire emblem-like thingy when a certain engine will come out one day. What's more to say, a quarter of century old, living in the land of baguettes and croissans, so my english might be potato sometimes.
  23. LukerGamerz

    Hiya

Let's see, what can I say about myself... If you recognize my profile image, that's because I once was a frequent user of the chaotic mess that was Miiverse. I have to thank that site for really helping me get comfortable with social media. I have a firey passion for writing and storytelling, along with a good ear for music. I wish I could say I'm also great with pixel art, but I'm not amazing in any way... I come up with far too many ideas for my own good, usually being dropped way too soon. Thankfully, two ideas of mine have really stuck, one of them being (surprise surprise) a Fire Emblem fangame. The second one is a fanfiction currently in the works, but I don't want to look like I'm advertising, so I won't go deeper into that... Anyway, I hope I'll be able to contribute to the site and share my ideas!
  24. Hey, everyone, I'm CandycaneRay! I've actually known about Serene's Forest for a while now, usually coming here to look up good builds for Fates/Awakening characters, etc. This would be the second forum community I've joined, the first being Smash Domain. (which is now, unfortunately, defunct) I've been playing Fire Emblem for at least over 8 years now, with the Shadow Dragon remake being my first, and favorite, game in the series. I've played pretty much all of the Fire Emblem games, including the Japanese-only ones. (courtesy of emulation) It's a pleasure to be here! I hope I get to know you all!
  25. Greetings Friends! I've been using Serenes Forest for strategies and advice ever since my first Fire Emblem Game (Fuuin no Tsurugi on a VBA Emulator). After a long haitus from FE I decided to buy a DS from my bonus money and pick up Fates: Conquest. The game is a lot to take in and there are so much more new things I need to learn compared to my last game (as well as relearning some of the basics), which is why I finally decided to create an account. People on here seem friendly and willing to help; and I hope one day to pay it forward and assist others with questions they might have. Feel free to say hi and answer the questions below. I'll start! Favorite FE Game? - Fire Emblem: The Binding Blide (FE6) - HARD MODE is the only way to play this game as far as I'm concerned. Favorite Character? - Clarine, which is why I have taken an instant liking to Elise Favorite Pairing (storywise, gameplay wise, or both)? - Clarine x Rutger, Elise x Odin (tried to recreate CxR, but Odin can't compare to Rutger as a Swordmaster. They make an amazing Ophelia though!)
