  1. So, we all know Raven, right? Mercenary, redhead, kinda weird, but a really good unit. Well, I was playing recently, grinding arenas with him, and when he hit level 20 I thought his defense was rather low. Sitting at a 6 (see picture) and starting at a 5 at level 5, I thought he must surely have bad odds for gaining it, but never thought this bad. He has a 25% chance at a defense gain each level, and across 15 levels, that would be (1/4)^15 chance for only one point to be gained. That's a 0.0000000093% chance of happening! Literally lower odds than winning the lottery. Am I that unlucky or has anyone else gotten super stat screwed?
  2. So I think I just discovered something that no one else has ever witnessed. I'm doing a playthrough of Heroes of Light and Shadow on Lunatic Reverse and when I got to chapter 15, the one from Shadow Dragon where you can only visit one of two villages to get either a Dracoshield or Energy Drop, something incredibly odd happened. I had save the villages from the initial Thieves and were farming the reinforcements coming from the center forts and right fort. The first turn of reinforcements were Thieves from the center and a Paladin from the right. The next turn Horsemen spawned from the center forts and a Paladin again from the right one (and this wave repeats for another turn). At one point two Horsemen and a Paladin were coming towards my army which I had set up at the island with the villages. I left a unit to take on the closest Horseman (and forgot the Paladin could attack him) and when the enemy phase began, instead of attacking me, the Horseman went to the village and destroyed it. A Horseman. Destroyed. A village. What the actual hell? Only Thieves are supposed to have that ability, so what the hell happened here? I only have a theory that I have no way of testing, so if anyone can confirm or deny feel free to do so, but this is what I think happened. On Normal through Maniac, the reinforcements from the center forts are two rounds of Thieves, but on Lunatic above, the second round of Thieves are replaced by Horsemen, so what I think happened is that when the Thieves were replaced by Horsemen, the AI programming remained the same as if they were still Thieves and since he could have gone for the village, he did.
  3. Title is self-explanatory, whats your weirdest/oddest experience? Make sure the experience is SFW though, don't want this tread to turn into a mess.. I swear if this is in the wrong category I'm gonna have a f*cking fit...
  4. I recently bought Revelation, and ive been having fun with it so far. Revelation being my second path bought (conquest being 1, havent gotten birthright yet) I got myself the Dread Fighter class. So I jumped at the chance to make Xander an unmounted ninja who can also axe things. And I must say, Sigfried on a ninja does not dissapoing. Seeing Xander zip around the screen with a sword the length of his body left me in stiches, I loved it. It also reminded me of the time I made Mozu a Merchant, and how silly the merchant animations looked completely conflicting with her personality as a hardy but humble country girl. So it got me wondering, what characters did you class change/promote only to be left in stitches/weirded out by the result?
  5. So I had a dream last night... It was set in no particular chapter of FE10, probably closest to an unseen portion of Part I, but the Crimean Royal Knights were teamed with the Liberators, and Laguz enemies (including Black Dragons for whatever reason) were plenty. But that's unimportant context. The enemies were affected by "noise" so to speak. As in, they would only move from their positions around the dinner table/etc. if they heard a lot of player units. So if you had several units grouped together passing through their area, they would notice you and attack. Not only that, they would call for backup, from nearby rooms that the player could enter if they chose, a sort of mini map in a map, complete with its own chests, enemies who could also switch maps via the entrance/exit, and terrain. They would also move slightly in the PPhrase if they were not bothered, though the difference is negligible. (Attacking also got their attention btw.) Personally, I'm not sure what to think of what my subconscious cooked up. On one hand, it does add the decision "charge recklessly for fewer possible turns" or "Sneak by a few units at a time at turn count and EXP's expanse, favoring saftey from the hoards?" Not sure how the mini maps would change anything, since it is kinda similar to opening doors on GBA, but there arepotential fights on the roofs.
