Why don't people use Nino?
Sunshine posted a topic in Fire EmblemNino is a balanced magical unit with excellent growths and much room for growing. She can support with a variety of decent units! Nino can even support Merlinus, a unit who won't take any space up, and who can take the blows for her/dodge while she takes enemies down! Nino comes on levels that are filled with enemies that she is able to finish off after being weakened. Especially on cog of destiny, where the promoted generals will go down with a finishing blow of elfire after weakening themselves on your units during the enemy phase. Whereas Pent comes with great bases, his growths aren't that great; and he can be outclassed by more difficult enemies later on in the game. Erk is dependable and a classic middle road approach, however he can be RNG screwed very easily because of it. In my opinion, Nino has a very high output after a couple of levels. Her low con being trivialized by her high base speed and 60% growth, as well as her decent base magic (In comparison to enemy resistance) and her 50% Magic growth. Besides Merlinus, Nino can support with Canas to get an excellent boost to her attack and general survivability (Defense and evasion), or Erk, who increases her chance of criticals in exchange for no attack bonus. With this, Nino will be able to stay on the rear line and take out enemies from behind the walls of a chokepoint such as Hector or Oswin. At the same time, ranged units will not often be able to get to her with more than one unit unless she kills the ranged attacker or another one comes with something such as siege tomes or long bows. In my opinion, I find that Nino is a decent unit that can be trained very well, and I don't think that she's too much of a liability when compared to the pegasus knights which are almost completely outclassed by the Wyvern knights; Nino can hold her own as a magic unit and as a unit in general. I feel she should be used more often than I've seen. What do you think? Edit: Debating is fine, saying that she just isn't your style is fine. Just please don't argue.

You In Fire Emblem: Awakening

You can go as in-depth or as casual as you want. I, personally, are going to go HAM, but, please, DO NOT feel as if you have to go as in depth as I am about to go. I will post mine in a minute. Unit Name: Jael Recruited: Paralogue 4.5: Considering Oblivion Starting Class: Mage Starting Level: 12 Starting Skills: Magic+2, Focus, Shadowgift Starting Inventory: Superior Jolt, Nosferatu (The reason this unit has Shadowgift is supposed to be a reference to my IRL pseudo-pessimistic thinking and general cynicism. I think my soul is dark enough to handle Dark Magic even when not specifically trained for it. Magic+2 and Focus are standard Mage skills. The reason for Mage as a class is because I, IRL, have always felt especially connected with books and literature, so magical tomes would be a perfect weapon for me.) Critical Quotes: "Speak your last words!" "I'm sorry, what did you say?!" "Go to seek a Great Perhaps!" "I'll write this on your tombstone!" Jael, just as I am, is obsessed with last words and memorizes them almost compulsively. He's also very morbid, but also very accepting, casually referencing that all humans are fated for death. This does make others in the army uncomfortable, however, he either doesn't notice or doesn't care. Support Options: Cordelia, Sumia, Miriel, Lissa, Maribelle, Sully, Olivia, Cherche, Panne, FeMU (up to S-Support) Tiki, Nowi, MaMU (up to A-Support) His supports with Tiki would be him trying to help her remember Marth's last words, as they have been lost to history. However, he feels as if they are somewhere deep within her memory. His supports with Nowi would be him envious of her having a body that can never die of natural causes, while his supports with either MU would be them trying to convince him to stop being to morbid, while he tries to get them to accept the inevitability of death. Confession Quote: "While we only have a short time on this Earth, I'm glad I get to spend it with you." Reclass Options: Thief, Archer Jael prefers classes that serve uses outside of straight combat, or at least are not directly involved. The primary goal of a thief is to get the loot and get out, while an archer can stand far away and just shoot at their foes, both sticking with his "Limit physical combat as much as possible" mentality. Modifiers: -1 STR/+1 MAG/+3 SKL/0 SPD/0 LCK/-1 DEF/+2 RES

This: http://www.twitch.tv/twitchplayspokemon This is a livestream of Pokemon Red and Blue, the difference from a regular stream is that the comments influence the player's decisions. Input a GB command in the comments and if you're lucky, you'll see your action display on the screen, even if it's as mundane as moving right. Seriously, this as fun to watch as it is frustrating. I'm amazed they've made it so far in 5 days. A combination of hilarity and anger, but finally we have definite proof that humans can cooperate, sort of. I love watching this, I keep it as a tab open at all times now.
Weirdest draft ever[FE 13]

Eventually I came up with this the weirdest draft ever. Drafting: 1. This draft is for 4 players. 2. Great lord, Grandmaster,Dread fighter, bride, and Dancer are free for all to use. 3. The game will be played on Hard Mode Classic. 4. The last round of drafting is reversed. Rules: 1. Undrafted units may: pair up with undrafted units and trade with undrafted/drafted units (but must not be in range of a drafted unit when battling) 2. Undrafted units may not do anything not listed above, including but not limited to: pairing up with drafted units, meatshielding, healing and supporting with drafted units. 3. NPC units may do as they please without penalty. 4. Paralogues are optional and are free up to 10 turns. 5. Challenge battles are banned. You may have undrafted units clear a challenge battle to shop, though any items obtained must be discarded/cannot be used or sold. 6. Map shopping is allowed, excluding items sold from Anna Merchant shops. 7. Mothers are drafted with their children, but are drafted at the same time as the rest of the units. 8. Use of items obtained from event tiles, the barracks and renown items are banned. 9. Use of DLC and Spotpass (including Free Content) is strictly prohibited. (See below) 10. Forging is allowed. 11. Renown is allowed up to the large bullion. 12. Each DLC is optional with the exception of the golden pack and is free up to 10 turns Extra: 1. The Rescue staff can only be used once per turn. 2. A unit that activates Galeforce may not move. Taking another action with Galeforce other than using a healing item is worth a penalty of 10 turns. Penalties: 1. Undrafted units performing any disallowed action is worth a penalty of 4 turns, 2. Undrafted units pairing up with drafted units is worth a penalty of 20 turns instead. Exceptions: 1. Ricken and Maribelle are freein Ch.5. 2. Nowi and Gregor are free for Ch.8. Teams: Bearclaw: paladin, dark knight, battle cleric, swordmaster, bow knight, villager Dragon: Great Knight, wyvern lord, sage, manakete, berserker, sniper Horace: falcon knight, griffon rider, trickster, taguel, sorcerror, Valkyrie Randa: hero, warrior, dark flyer, lodestar, assassin, general Classes remaining Basically you draft a promoted class and any unit that is in a class that can promote into that clas or any unit that comes in that class can be used. (You can also use three second seals to get characters into those classes.
