Sage Byleth Anna... Broken
BloodRonin posted a topic in Fire Emblem: EngageSo we all know Anna has a chance to get gold on kill with her luck stat. Byleth gives magic speed and luck increases. And on a mage class gives the +2 magic range (which works with surge btw or thunder for massive range) My Sage Anna is one of my fastest units, has insane magic dex and luck. With Byleth giving her all her favorite stats on top of the range is just incredible. I'm almost done my rng maddening run and my God do I love Sage Anna. Skill wise I gave her vantage++. (I didn't give her a second skill yet, thinking speed taker). With the plus 2 range. I can easily attack a boss still and be in position(assuming my dancer is set) to dance Anna and have her aoe dance everyone. I haven't had this much fun on a magic class in a while.
fe recolor FE Recolor Missing Sprites Available Here!So, If you don't know what FE Recolor is,1) Why are you here, and 2) It is a program made by BwdYeti. (Link Right here) It's a very cool program that lets you recolor sprites from the GBA era of Fire Emblem. However, it is missing a lot of sprites, and while the Pirate one is easy to find, the rest, like the FE6 exclusive Sprites and ESPECIALLY the monsters from FE8, are really hard to find, to the point where through all my digging, I could only scrape up a tutorial on how to make sprites compatible. So I made pretty much all the sprites I could, and they're all here: Missing Sprites Here, Ta Daaaaaa These include all the Monster sprites, Most, if not all FE6 Exclusive Sprites, and some missing sprites from FE7. I also did some work on some already existing Sprites, so that it shows more versions that use it's palette. For Example, the Female Druid sprite uses the same Palette as the Male Druid, however the original FE Recolor Sprite image only showed the male, so I put in the female. I marked the ones I worked on under revised so that you don't have to change anything, its just so that you can see it for an example. Directions Step 1: Extract all to a safe Location where it wont cause any hassle for you Step 2: Go into Missing Sprites>Sprites and Copy all the Pictures there into FE Recolor>sprites>battle_sprites Step 3: Go into Missing Sprites>Data and Copy all the .dat files into FE Recolor>data>sprites, This makes it so that you don't have to manually re position all the Palette indexes. For the Revised Sprites: Same steps as 2 and 3 except be sure to delete/move the previous .png and .dat files before adding them. UPDATE I've added The FE7 Female Thief Sprite, It could be the FE6 Sprite, but It was just easier to make an all new one. -Added Berserker (Hawkeye) and a Lucius Sprite on the Bishop image. Notes So I have tested all the sprites I could with BS Palette assembler, however, I could not test the Monster sprites, Zephiel's sprite, or the Manakete-transformed sprites. Please tell me if they don't work too well in-game and please provide screenshots. Also make sure its correct on your end. Also, If I missed any sprites, please tell me, as I'll make it and add it on. Thank you in advance! And I hope I was of help.
Challenge: Axes Thunder Tiger run
mangasdeouf posted a topic in Fire Emblem: Radiant DawnHi, I'm starting a challenge for fun (not a try hard in normal/hard mode but a funny PT in easy mode). Axes, thunder tomes users and tigers are the only classes allowed with maybe an exception for Volug since the DB needs a few units for p3 defend chapters, and Sothe/Heather just for utility (as few combat involved as possible). I'm planning on using: Nolan (quite forced to anyway), Ilyana, Jill, Sothe (as told), Volug (as told, and in replacement of tiger Laguz), Muharim isn't worth the investment (sadly because I like him), because LOLavailability. /Haar (not like there are other axe users in his joining chapter anyway), Brom (same) and Mordecai (if I can make anything out of his crap bases and mediocre growths), Kieran (I'll try, don't blame me for the shit he could do because his accuracy and avoid are so bad and his personnal skill isn't made for him + paladins are really not that great in FE10 because of terrain), little heron will be used only if vital and kept in security. /Ike (forced if I intend to finish the run or the Burger King will OS him), not Boyd (please guys his bases for his level are awful and he's far from the promotion bonuses, he sucks in his joining chapter and takes forever to start paying off), Ilyana again, not Soren (1 sage is hard enough to protect and he doesn't even access to high level thunder tomes), Titania (she's nearly forced to finish 3-1 in time), and Gatrie only if his T2 has acess to axes, if not then sadly Gatrie won't be my guy (well Brom will join fast enough anyway), Mordecai (if he truned good enough), Haar (if I need him or else bye bye god tier flyer), Heather (utility), and I think that's it for axe/thunder/tigers. /The same ones + the new tiger (yes, the shitty one, but there's something about him I've always wanted to try, so I'll do it now), and I think that's it. Or are there other ones? Paragon will be given to the latest units exp-wise (notably said baby tiger who clearly has cat growths, at least he won't get doubled much ^^ unlike Mordecai). /Well now I won't change the cast for the tower, just keeping the best ones and benching the ones who couldn't survive. No POR boosts in case you ask. --- I did prologue with Micayah killing the mobs, then Nolan only until I get Ilyana. End of chapter 1: Micayah 5,14: 17 hp, 2 str, 11 mag, 9 skl, 8 spd, 13 lck, 2 def, 8 res. Nolan 13,59: 12 str, 1 mag, 15 skl, 14 spd, 7 lck, 13 def (I gave him the dracoshield), 4 res. Got unlucky on strength...I didn't modify my level ups, I didn't use Cheat Engine, everything legit. Maybe I'll use save/reload to maximize stats per level for the bad sarting characters (Jill, Volug whose exp gains suck, Brom at the beginning if he doesn't get good level ups from the get-go, Mordecai, the other tiger, Ike because he needs good stats to beat Fast Food) but not like resetting 30 times until I get a near-perfect level up like I like to do (just going for the stats they lack will be enough). Ike will be forced to use axes once he can, unless the boss attacks him from 2 range (forcing a 1-2 range legendary weapon named Ragnell). If he can be beaten with Urvan then Ike will use Urvan, but I highly doubt it (range, stats, WTD).
So, in the original Gaiden, Mages/Clerics learned spells at certain levels with different attributes. Additionally, different characters learned spells at different rates, and some were only available to certain characters. Do you think that they'll keep it mostly the same, just update it with modern sensibilities, or they'll change it to the Tomes/Staves we use today?
+Mag/-Def Fe!MU help
Ninian157 posted a topic in Fire Emblem: AwakeningYo people. I just started another Hard run and for the first time went with Fe!MU. I decided on going a magic route with her and chose +Mag/-Def for her asset/flaw and I plan on having her end up as a sage. Now, the problems I have are the skillset and who I would want to marry. First off, the skillset. I thought about running Tomefaire/Rally Spectrum/Ignis/Galeforce/Magic +2 but I'm not a huge fan of Ignis. Are any of the other offensive procs worth it? What would be a better option instead of Magic +2? Then comes the problem of who I want to marry. I've heard about Ricken!Owain being a good choice for getting a good Morgan out of it. If I would want Owain, what skills should he have and what does he want to pass down? Finally Morgan. Obviously I want him to get Galeforce and end up in a magic class. But I got nothing else planned really. Ideas? Thanks for the help in advance.
For Henry!Owain, I'm not sure what class to go for. Trickster- Skill and high magic, with not too bad strength. Also has ability to use staves Dread Fighter- High stats all around, swords and magic, useful as a support unit Sorcerer- Don't really think I need to say anything here. Sage- High magic, but loses swords and renders Henry's strength mod pointless. Use of staves EDIT: I added in dark knight. It has high magic and can be a really good mixed tank. While I'm at it, I'm going to add in a poll for Inigo's most optimal father. I'm leaning towards Virion at the moment.
