  1. Currently I'm playing FE6 and, almost reaching chapter 17, I heard about the route split to Sacae or Illia ("you go to Sacae if Sue and Shin combined EXP is higher than Tate and Shanna EXP, otherwise you go to Illia), so I started to wonder: If, before that chapter, Shin, Sue, Tate and Shanna die, all of them, what will happen? Will I go to Sacae or Illia? Or someway those chapters will be skipped and then ? And how does the game decides to which route I will go? I know it calculates the total EXP earned by the nomads and by the pegasus knights, and if Shanna and Tate's is higher than Shin and Sue's you go to Illia (otherwise, you go to sacae). But if some of them gain some EXP and then died (before chapter 17) will it count? For example, if Shin reached level 20 and then die, will his EXP be counted or does it count as 0, so to go to Sacae only Sue's EXP will count vs Tate and Shanna's to decide to which contry I will go in the route split ? And if the EXP is acounted even if the character die, then that would mean that if I kill everyone before any of them can get any EXP (somehow making sure that each of the four die in one hit, so they wont gain that 1 EXP for surviving battles) then I will go to Illia, since Tate and Shanna have higher base levels than Shin and Sue? Or the base levels doesn't count? (I think they don't, as I seen someone asking here why did they went to Sacae instead of illia since them Pegasus knight had higher level than the nomads, and someone answered that it wasn't about the base levels but only the EXP gained in game) Also, does the game prioritizes one route over the other? Like, if Both the pegasus knights and the nomads have Equal gained EXP (Or died, if dead units EXP doesn't count, because then all their EXPs would be 0), the game would have to send you to a route anyway, right? So would it be random (based in the RGN, with a 50/50 chance). or they prioritize one route over the other (kinda like like they do with Chrom potential wives in Awakening)? Before anyone starts advising on what I should do, I want to say that this is not the case for me, none of my nomads or pegasus knights had died yet. I just want to know this out of curiosity or if this had happened with anyone here (though I dont think this could happen if it wasnt on porpouse or iron man runs) Also, I want to state that English is not my first language so let me know if I wrote something in a weirdly indunderstandably way (the "inunderstandably" was on porpouse).
  2. Welcome, ladies and gentleman! I have a great pleasure to inform you that I am working on a new hack: Fire Emblem: The New Dawn! The story picks up where FE6 leaves us (Bern being defeated, Idun unsealed, Roy learning the 'truth' about the Scouring) and tells the story after ten year,s when the allied occupation (Lycia and Eturia) of Bern ends. Meanwhile new disorder erupts in Lycia, as some of the nobles are displeased of Roy's new kingdom (which he formed after the war). Unrest raises on the Western Isles due to lack of competece of the new Eturian king. Isles, despite gaining partial independence are still owned by Eturia in some parts. A young sacean girl named Sarnai is passing her final trails before becoming a true sacean huntress. All these three stories are connected by a sinister cult, worshiping that what used to be... FEATURES: a) Reworked promotions. I added some new classes and made the already existing not to double. For examble, the armor knight now promotes to (of course) General or Vanguard (heavy knight with lances, bows and magic), archer has 'hunter' and the second chosable class, etc; b) Compeling, epic story with a darker overall tune comparable to FE4; c) Fates of many characters revealed at once (many are dead, though :D); d) Custom animations for most characters; e) Epic and moving end to some stories unfinished in the previous games. RETURNING CAST: - Roy, king of Lycia - married Sue (not Lilina and this is a plot device!) - uniter of Lycia, most do not understand his dream. Believes in humankind; - Sue, queen-consort and true heir to the Caelinian throne. Mother of prince Hector of house Pherae; - Lilina, marquesses of Ostia. Has some doubts about Roy's monarchy, but supports him nonetheless. Still has hots for him; - Priscilla, marquesses of Cornwell - the house was rebuilded by Roy; - Echidna - Queen-regent of the Wester Union. Tries everything in her power to stabilize her homeland and cease any hostilities with Eturia; - Milidain - new king of Eturia. He is bad at being king and relies on his trusted advisors do rain in his name; - Klein - helps Milidain with his work. Is often sent as the embassy of the king; - Danyan, the Silver Wolf - raises the new generation of famed sacean nomads; - ??? - the defender of Sacae, known as the Beast (can't reveal this one, it's too hilarious); - Nino - the new archsage; (-ish? not really, very powerful. Speaks with ghosts); - Lugh, Raigh, Jaffar - Nino's family. Along with her try to avert the inevitable fate; - Gwynevere - the new queen of Bern; - Idun - snapped out of it. Finally. - and many more... NEW CAST: - Theodore - marquess Arphen; - Daria - daughter of Erik; - Darius, son of Erik - Hector - son of Roy (yes, he has THE NAME) - all the others marquesses; - Gren, knight of Arphen; - Gerard, illian merc; - Jeff, very bad spy thief; - Elizabeth - cleric; - Thorne, new marquess Thiria, Roy's trusted advisor; - Sarnai - young huntress from Sacae; - Big chuck of characters that are in a way spoilerish. If anybody wants to help, I would welcome it openly. You can contact me eaisly. I should reply the same day. Progress info: ACT I: - Lycian arc: 5/5 chapters made! - Interlougue 1: done! - Sacean arc : 0.5/5 chapters made - Interlougue 2: done! - Eturian/Islander arc: 0/5 chapters made ACT II: - Mid arc: 0/3 chapters made - War of the Sun God arc: 0/6 chapters made ACT III: - Return of the Old Gods: 0/5 chapters made - Final arc: 0/3 chapters made Total: 5.5/32 chapters made Credits: Credits.txt Regarding the potential hype: Don't. I know that there are people that will hype my hack. I firmly believe that it will be good, very good. But I don't want enybody to expect more than can be done with the limited human resources (ie. me) and the engine I work on (ie. FE8). If you believe that it will be revolutionary - you'll be disappointed. Just - don't hype.
  3. This is the feedback thread for "Fire Emblem Heroes: House of Sues". Please keep all feedback to this thread so as to not clutter the main story. This story was unspooled as originally written at varying intervals between roughly 9:40 PM Central to 1:10 AM Central on the evening of May 4, 2019 (going into May 5 based on strict adherence to dates changing over at midnight). My thoughts as to the project were posted below once the last chapter finished; as I did not want my vision to be influenced by comments as I was unspooling it, I would have not read any comments posted in the interim until after the project was finished. As the opening spiel at the start of the story implies, bringing my vision to life involved opening a few small cans of worms unavoidably (as not everybody's going to agree with how I've handled some of the quirks), but opening major cans of worms--or worse, Pandora's Box--was not my intent. I want people to enjoy the story for what it is as a whole, not being majorly irked by minor choices in character quirks.
  4. DISCLAIMER: The experience portrayed in this fanfic is not intended to be representative of any particular player of Fire Emblem Heroes, and the character quirks of any Fire Emblem series character therein is not intended to be representative of any canonical depiction of said character. Full-on adherence to canonical depictions has been set aside in favor of entertainment value. Even if you personally disagree with any portrayal of said character quirks--and there is a fairly large chance that you may indeed personally disagree with at least one of these quirks--it is best to accept this difference of opinion and simply enjoy the fanfic on its own merits. My material, by my own admission, has been known to be quite lame among those that have experienced it, and I make no guarantee that this fanfic will be a high-quality masterpiece; odds are it will come across as cheesy D-list material at best. I hope you enjoy "House of Sues". Contains suggestive themes and "inventive" allusions to foul language. Parental discretion is advised. If you wish to comment about this story, use the feedback thread. ---- Chapter 1: Meet the Sues [A Summoner enters the summoning chamber] [SUMMONER] Selecting banner..."Colored Bows". [SUMMONER] Summon! [Summoning circle appears; five green orbs appear] [SUMMONER] Select upper right! [Summoning process; summons 5-star "Sue: Doe of the Plains"] [SUE #2] I am Sue of the Kutolah tribe. The blood of the Hero of the Plains, Dayan, runs in my veins. (The reason why this particular Sue is stated to be "Sue #2" will be explained shortly.) [SUMMONER] Select again. Lower left! [Summoning process; summons 5-star "Sue: Doe of the Plains"] [SUE #3] I am Sue of the Kutolah tribe. The blood of-- [SUMMONER] Yeah, blood of Dayan in my veins, I know, I know! Next! Lower right! [Summoning process; summons 5-star "Sue: Doe of the Plains"] [SUE #4] I am Sue of the-- [SUMMONER] Yeah, yeah, Kutolah, blood of Dayan, yada, yada, yada. Next! Upper left! [Summoning process; summons 5-star "Sue: Doe of the Plains"] [SUE #5] I am-- [SUMMONER] Yeah, I know, Sue, Kutolah, blood of Dayan, not my first rodeo! Final selection, topmost! [Summoning process; summons 5-star "Sue: Doe of the Plains"] [SUE #6] I-- [SUMMONER] Yeah, I know, I've heard it plenty already! [Summoning circle shows results: All five positions show a five-star "Sue: Doe of the Plains"] [A short time later, in the Barracks] [Sues #2-#6 walk onto the scene, into a room wherein Sue #1 is already seated. Further in the background are a number of other characters, most notably eight different Lilinas (six normal-variation, two Valentine's-variation).] [SUE #1] What? That summoner summoned five more of me?! Just what are the odds? [SUE #2] Yeah, now that's six Dayans who are worried sick! Six grandfathers forced into worry! Six more people who are having to go through having a loved one plucked by that summoning ritual! [SUE #3] Not sure about the rest of you, but I'm not sure my Dayan would even survive the shock of finding out about my disappearance. [SUE #4] Eh, I'm sure your Dayan would be just fine. Surely he can take care of himself, and if not, he's got his son Rath and daughter-in-law Lyn to help! [Six of the Lilinas in the background sneer at Sue #4] [SUE #2] Wait, "his daughter-in-law Lyn"? That's news to me! Last I checked, Lyn had been the Marchioness of Ostia when she died! [LILINA #3] Yeah, you tell her! [LILINA #6] For Mom! [LILINAS #1, #3, #4, #6, & #V1] Yeah, for Mom! (For the record, these are five of the Lilinas who had sneered at Sue #4 upon mentioning Lyn. Lilina #V2 also sneered at Sue #4, but did not chime in on this line.) [SUE #2] And Lyn surely never married Uncle Rath... [SUE #4] UNCLE Rath? You take that back! If my father, Rath, heard us calling him uncle, he'd go ballistic! [SUE #1] Hold it, everybody! You [pointing to Sue #2] say that Rath's your uncle and Lyn married Hector? While you [pointing to Sue #4] say that Rath's your father and Lyn's your mother? I suspect we're not as similar as I thought we'd be. I'm thinking that each one of us came from worlds where certain things played out differently. [SUE #5] How differently? [SUE #1] That, I'm not entirely sure right now. From what I've read from our libraries here, summoning rituals have been known to tap into quite a many different realities, with quite a number of different combinations possibly taking place between them. For all we know, the only thing we know for sure we all have in common is that we've got a grandfather named Dayan, and we know he's got a son named Rath. Now, we know that in your [pointing to Sue #4] case as well as mine, Rath is our father, but our mothers are not the same. But in your [pointing to Sue #2] case, you're the daughter of some other child of Dayan's and in turn Rath's your uncle, but you're also like me in a respect in that my world's Lyn was also the Marchioness of Ostia at the time of her death. [SUE #2] So you're suggesting that we're not identical? [SUE #1] Precisely! We're all clearly as different as night and day. Given my experience here, we're far from the only ones from being dissimilar from their counterparts. I'm familiar with a number of different Roys and Lilinas, and not every Roy is a son of Ninian's nor every Lilina a daughter of Lyn's like from back where I came from. And god forbid I even outright assume any given Lucina is the daughter of any given possibility! [pointing to Lilina #V2] I noticed you sneered at that Sue who stated Lyn was her mother, but I didn't see your mouth move with the other five. May I ask, what's your mother's name? [LILINA #V2] Florina. Lyn was a very good friend of my mother's, and in my case Lyn died in Pherae as its marchioness. [SUE #1] [pointing to Lilina #2] And your mother's name? [LILINA #2] I don't know for sure, I never knew my mother. I do know for sure that Lyn never married in my case, and I also know that I do not have any Ilian heritage. [SUE #1] Anyway, I don't think we should be trying to get at each other's throats. There's six of us Sues here now, and we're going to need to get along if we hope to survive this journey in the long term. We really should get to know each other for who we really are, no matter how similar and different we are from one another. [SUE #6] As proud nomads of Sacae, we really do need to stick together. I'm sure my Uncle Rath and Aunt Lyn wouldn't appreciate it if we stayed at each other's throats. [SUE #4] ...Aunt Lyn? As in, your world's Rath and Lyn also married, yet you're not their daughter? [SUE #6] Yep, I'm a daughter of Rath's brother, and Rath and Lyn's own daughter is my cousin. [SUE #1] Well, I see we have a lot to learn about one another. Why don't we get situated somewhere, perhaps a room just for us, and I'll start off? [SUE #3] Good idea.

    Tough choice

Hello guys, So here's my situation, I'm playing for the first time Fire Emblem 6 in hard mode directly and it was kinda difficult to get where I am (at chapter 9 at the moment and it took about 10 + hours) The thing is I let Sue die in a very stupid way where I put her in a risky situation without any reasons, but sinceI restarted the chapter twice already I said fck it because bow units aren't really good in Fire Emblem anyway and I think I get get a similar one later on. But now (at chapter 9) I realize that I need Sue to recruit that Shin guy... who looks really good. And from my researchs FE 6 is one of the best game for bow units. And the fact that I screwed up almost all the Sacae line kinda annoys me.. (I still can have Fir tho) So I just wanted to have your opinion on this guys.. Is it worth restarting a new game in order to not let Sue die and get Shin ? It's 10 hours.. If it was a chapter I'd have do it instantly but I didn't know back then so a new game is a bit more annoying x) Oh and I guess there is NO way to get Shin on the current game whatever I do right ? sigh
  6. So right now I'm at the beginning of chapter 15 with Thany at level 20/5, Shin at 20 unpromoted and Sue at 1 unpromoted, and I killed Klein and Tate as enemies because I didn't want to use them. Apparently, I need the total exp of Thany and Tate to be lower than the total exp of Sue and Shin in order to access the Sacae route (and enable me to get the legendary bow), so my question is this: If Sue and Shin's total exp is lower than that of Thany, does that mean I'll automatically go to Ilia's route, or am I shunted to the Sacae route due to Tate's death? If Ilia's route happens, it's my understanding that as Tate is dead I won't be able to access the ice spear gaiden chapter and thus the good ending. I want to access the good ending so if possible I'd like to go on the Sacae path, but Sue is too weak to train (gets one-shotted by everyone) and I have no Orion's Bolts for Shin. Is the only way to get the good ending at this point to go through the arduous process of baiting last hits with Sue and rescuing her until she reaches level 8-9-ish in the next couple of chapters?
