  1. In this file, I am gathering all information I can find about the game . All credit to Serenesforest and people from other sites. Most are from here so I want to contribute something. This is still a WIP though because Ive just began to play. I guess I will finish this after completing all three routes in hardest difficulty. You need basic Excel skill to use this, you can sort everything by numbers and colors. I used colors a lot so it looks messy in the first place. Cell colors are used to rate how good the stat, ability or a character is. For example, red means the best, orange is great, yellow is good and white is bad. The darker the color, the better it is.. Except the stats, all the ratings are my opinion and can change. All builds also are not optimal, just what I want to use in current playthrough. I have not cared about DLC stuff just yet. I used every character average stats at level 41 (without class growth) to rate them. You can change the formula to find their stats at other level, (for example D2+N2*0.4 to D2+N2*0.6 to find that stat at level 61). All opinions are welcome. I did this for FE games I played recently (3ds games and Radiant Dawn), if anyone need file for other games, just ask. FE 3H.xlsx
  2. I’ve been wondering about a 5th potential path in CF where it’s a variation of CF. What if Byleth after fusing with Sothis would have went to a doctor on a weekend after Edelgard coronation as Adrestian Empire and got their Crestone in their heart Remove and Destroyed. And the Holy Tomb after the Battle they are forced to choose but gives a smile to Edelgard and fakes a sword whipped swing but kills Rhea Instead how would things change in the Timeskip. Here are the Rules 1 # Byleth Heart starts beat after destroying the crestone and Rhea dies at the Holy Tomb. Byleth destroys the SotC afterward and doesn’t go to sleep since early Sothis Removal. I’m curious about you guys takes on this hypothesis. How would you write this what if ?
  3. I'm on my first go at Maddening on Verdant Wind, (NG, Classic) and I'm finding Maddening to be rather punishing right now. My greatest fear for the playthrough is getting softlocked on ch. 13, so I'm trying not to mess around anywhere. I'm also trying to avoid grinding, since I don't wanna wreck the difficulty curve of the game. That said, I feel that already at ch. 4, I've sorta hit a wall stat and skill wise, particularly with having no actual way to deal with the DK. I can deal with it now, but I don't know if I will be if there are any difficulty spikes. So I suppose the question is: Is Maddening feasibly possible without any auxillary battles, or should I start getting them now rather than having to backtrack later to get past a softlock?
  4. i’m looking for someone (especially @Anacybele) to rpg some sylvain stuff/sperg about sylvain crap. i have a lot to spare and i hope to find some fellow sylvain enthusiasts to have fun with the joys of sylvain. thanks!!! ike edit: i have no idea what to do with this thread but member feedback is the wrong place for it so i'm putting it here i guess
  5. So this took a hot minute. I took the statement by the creators to do some calculations about area and distances (drew a circle approximately the same area as the map, calculated the diameter based on the stated area of 2/3rds the size of Europe, and then transferred that diameter into distance across the continent) and came up with a roughly to-scale map of Fodlan for distance and travel calculations. Who doesn't like to do math for fun? The actual calculations led to a scale of 1in. = 500km rather than 300km, but that would mean a 30 day journey from Garreg Mach to Fort Merceus. So I made it 40% smaller. It's a wonder we're able to get anywhere at all. Based on the fact that thru-hikers typically travel 10 mi (16km) a day, each small box (1/10in) is equal to approximately 2 days of travel on foot or 1 day of travel on walking horseback. (I also fiddled with the rivers to make them geographically probable.) I'm also including a version with the approximate locations of different settlements and landmarks. I will update as I add more details and refine the project.
  6. So my brother and I are playing Three Houses together, and we've already played Verdant Wind and Azure Moon, but we're debating over whether to go for Crimson Flower or Silver Snow next. We'd like to finish on the most canonical ending, which I think is Crimson Flower based on the promotional material and Edelgard being the featured Lord of the game and stuff, but my brother thinks Silver Snow is the more canon ending since it's sort of a "secret ending." Any input from those of you who have played both CF and SS? Which one seemed more final?
  7. Rules - Ratings are assumed to be on Hard or Maddening Mode. Also, they should be based on when the unit is first available. (When rating a unit, please specify whether you are rating assuming Hard or Maddening.) - Votes need some explanation regarding their gameplay performance to be counted (unless they fall into the general parameters of the average rating, but reasoning is still strongly encouraged on those even if you just wanna quote people) — incredibly low scores or high scores without proper justification will not be counted. Don't put in some random text thinking it'd count as justification. Put in at least a little thought and give REAL reasoning. - Numbers for votes, please - not something like "Marcus/10", etc. Proper Justification will be determined by me and whoever decides to help. +/- ≤1 point extra regarding personality/appearance is okay, but no more. - Votes out of 10, or something proportional to it. Makes it easy to calculate, please and thank you~! -The rating you give to a unit assumes a good build for said unit-nothing among the lines of, "Dedue is 2/10 because he's a bad mage." -The ranking assumes no grinding of any form, no DLC and minor, (one or two stat boosters per month) use of the Greenhouse. - Make votes easily visible, please! "[Explanation text]: So, overall, I think X unit is a 7.5/10, with a +1 bias included for being hawt/cute/funny/etc.." - Every ranking phase ends approximately at 20:00 PST. Do the math for your timezone, please! -We will ask you to not use the "Not X unit" reason. Because it will be used a lot. I.E, do not say "Linhardt bad because not Lysithea." -The Black Eagles may be assessed based on their performances in either Silver Snow or Crimson Flower, other than when not applicable. Scores: Edelgard: 9 Day 2: Hubert

  9. A while back on SF, these used to be a thing, and I realized we didn't yet have one for Three Houses. So, welp, I decided to make one! This is a bit more of an interest check/feedback regarding which difficulty that units should be based on. I really liked these threads, so here we goo! Rules - Ratings are assumed to be on Hard/Maddening Mode. Also, they should be based on when the unit is first available. I plan to start this probably on Friday or something! Suggestions and feedback are welcome.
  10. I thought this would be fun... So, let's say there was a 10+ years later DLC for Three Houses, featuring a child unit system. What are your ideas for this system? What would the child of each character be like? How would the system function? (Basically, describe a child unit system including how it would work: passing on "traits", crests, etc., and some ideas for child units.) You can post your artwork if you would like.
  11. The entire narrative doesn't support them much. It hurts a lot that I adore what they did with Yuri's writing but because he was thrown in through DLC, he doesn't feel as explored as he could've been. He had everything going for him to be a really compelling interesting lord with a concept of an underground society having a lot of potential than just an afterthought. Constance, Balthus and Hapi felt a little smoother even if they could've used more. Yuri had so much potential though. Now he's just left with an implied hefty arc that we don't get to witness since he's DLC, having to be an afterthought to a game with jank graphics and system, a tiny amount of supports, a conflict that blatantly doesn't involve Yuri, stuck having to shine in Cindered Shadows only (ugh), and left with so much potential without reaching half of it. He was blatant lord/major plot character material... What a waste. Abyss is just all over the place and that goes without saying.
  12. Keeping up with the Three Houses content, we have a new Bound Hero Battle. Map Hard & Lunatic Infernal Infernal Enemy Data Tibarn Caineghis Blue Fafnir Red Mage Green Fafnir Troubadour
  13. I been streaming a Three Houses Maddening Mode playthrough (no new game+) but with a twist. I restricted myself from using any divine pulses and it has made the game incredibly harder on top of Maddening being already super difficult. Its my first time playing Maddening too. (Yes im crazy, I know) Everything is going surprisingly well so far and I am currently a few chapters in at the timeskip so far!! Here is how my team is lookimg so far. Byleth (Enlightened One) Claude (Wyvern Lord) Hilda (Preist [about to promote to War Cleric soon]) Lorenz (Warlock [about to promote to Dark Knight]) Lysithea (Dark Flier) Ignatz (Sniper [about to promote to Bow Knight]) Raphael (War Master) Leonie (Bow Knight) Marianne (Holy Knight) Anna (Theif [about to promote to Trickster) Yuri (Trickster) Hapi (Dancer) I gave all of the girls (save Marianne because she is super slow) Darting blow so they can double more reliably by making them all Peg Knights. I also made every physical unit a Brigand for Death Blow. And then all my magic units get Fiendish Blow. So I have a Death Blow, Fiendish Blow, Darting Blow combo on everyone respectively and its awesome!! I made Hapi a dancer because she is the waifu heh heh. And she came out incredibly powerful!! Amazing gambit, amazing damage output, amazing avoid and a solid resistance tank!! And she doubles and crits often!! If you want to check out my run. I been streaming it on Youtube. There is 17 episodes episodes out currently at the time of posting this!! Come check it out if you are interested!! It was quite amazing so far!!

  15. So, you know those roster cards everyone but Byleth has? The ones with the likes, dislikes, and interests? Well, we are going to make some for our Byleths. I’ll start. Byleth (Male): Interests: •Fishing •Light Socializing •Teaching (developed after a while) Likes: Sweets, fishing, rest, walking, pets, his students (developed after a while) Dislikes: Hiding thoughts, lost items, failure, flirts
  16. am i the only one that gets lelouch lamperouge vibes from yuri in fe3h? maybe its the purple eyes or his calculating nature but I can just imagine him viewing fighting just like chess lol.
  17. This deals with a support conversation between Lysithea from Fire Emblem Three Houses and Musse Egret from Trails of Cold Steel III. I assume you don't know who Musse is, so check this out. Both share traits, differences and also fates. Both like to practice, like sweets and also are wise. Musse has some mysteries whose aren't all revealed yet, but let it aside right now. Musse has an incredible tense affection to the professor, and her trademark is to use teehee in like each third line in her conversations. Musse Egret joined the Golden Deers and get taught by the best Professor, aka Byleth Eisner. Of course she's touched by his lessons. On one afternoon after the last lesson... C-support How will it end? B and A support are yet to come in a bit. Please give me some feedback and / or improvement suggestions!
  18. Fire emblem has been straying further and further away from the "strategy" part of SRPG and more into the RPG direction. Before I start ranting and raving I want to get my biases out of the way first. My favorite games in the series are Mystery of the Emblem and Thracia 776. and the reasons I love those games so much more then the rest of the series is for 2 reasons. Meaningful class differences and a 20 stat cap. When I say "Meaningful class differences" what I mean is, for specific maps/parts of maps some classes have better tools then others that would better fit the task you're trying to do causing you to use a valuable deployment slot in order to field a unit of that class. For example take Mystery of the Emblem chapter 14, most of the chapter takes place indoors (meaning mounted units can't use there mounts) so you would generally want to bring foot units, but there are ice dragons inside who ignore defense so you'll you want to bring a unit with a lot of hp as well. Also there is a thief running away outside with a warp staff so you'll want to bring at least 1 high movement mounted unit to get that high value item. this Is why I love the fact that mounted units can't be indoors, not because it nerfs mounted unit, but because it adds another layer of strategy and consideration for the player to decide who to bring along for the chapter. Now some people might be hesitant to bench a unit they're "training" for a chapter, but luckily having stats cap at 20 across the board compliments this aspect of the game. By having a stat cap of 20, it doesn't matter if some units miss a chapter, or maybe even a few chapters! first off enemies are usually very bad in these games, but also training units 20/20 to cap their stats yields little reward to the amount of time you put in. also having super high stats are meaningless if whatever class a unit is in is unfit to deal with the level design. in fe4 there are tons of foot locked units with 10/10 combat that will clear the arena without fail 100% of the time, but that doesn't change the fact that it's very hard for them to see combat in the first place since the maps are so vast and spread out. In new games there is very little consideration on who to bring with you because of the level design. In 3 houses i'm never "oh a desert map, better not field any of my cavs" its more like "oh a desert map, sucks my cavs aren't going to see much combat but might as well bring them cause everyone else who I don't use regularly is to under leveled to use even if they would be useful otherwise." don't mean to sound elitist, but I think the pushing of RPG mechanics over strategy mechanics has made the series lose some of what made it unique in the first place. what do you guys think?
  19. what are the best classes from the abyss? and who should I give them to? Note: right now I'm training my ferdinand as a trickster (just for a goof) but who is really good for these classes? my female byleth is def going to be a war monk
  20. I was recently watching this video on Mental Illness in video games; ways in which games can be therapeutic for the mentally ill, ways in which games can be informative for those who aren't mentally ill, etc., and it got me thinking about Three Houses, and I thought I'd create a thread for discussing it. There is a lot of focus on mental illness in Three Houses, with a lot of characters suffering from different forms of it. I guess the question on my mind, as someone who has so far only played two routes of the game, was this: how well does the game handle this topic? Is it therapeutic? Is it informative? In case anyone's wondering, this is the video:
  21. Since FE: Three Houses made a lot of changes to the standard FE formula in terms of gameplay, it's highly unlikely they'll throw it all out when it comes time to make the next FE game. A staple of FE has been shapeshifter units; most notably Manaketes and Laguz. With that in mind, for the next FE game, should the next playable shapeshifters use the same mechanics as monster units from Three Houses? Regarding Question 3, if more than two people list the same balancing idea, I'll add it to the poll.
  22. Me and my friends which were played the FE3H has their own opinions about the character's class-features. Long story short, one side needs more freedom for any character-build and the other side needs more in-game uniqueness. In other words, one side needs the less genderlocked classes (as IF/Fates) while the others worshipping the genderlocked classes. All of us finally made the six main fanmade Master Classes for fun. All of these fanmade Master Classes are genderlocked and provides the various Mastery skills equally for any character regardless their gender. Regardless any stats base or builds, we tried to made them balanced and we still obligated to following the "rules" as the entire fanmade master classes should be: 1. Two kinds Proficiencies at minimum. 2. Four kinds of Proficiencies at maximum. 3. Three kinds of class Abilities at max. 4. Two or three kinds of the Certification Requirements at minimum. 5. Two kinds of Skill Masteries at max. 6. No unique abilities and masteries which exclusively possessed by the protagonist, any lord, and any enemy units (including "Counterattack") allowed. 7. Flying and Riding classes must have "Canto" on one of their three Abilities slot. This is the templates which only for easier to make the fanmade Master Class. So, no insisting for using it at all. [MASTER CLASS NAME] - (Optional. A small description of the class) Proficiencies: ▪ (Two kinds of at minimum, four kinds at maximum.) Certification Requirements: (Two or three kinds of expertise levels which obviously has something to do with the class) ▪ ▪ ▪ Abilities: (Three kinds at max. while the "Canto" skill would be taken one slot if the class is the Riding or Flying type.) ▪ ▪ ▪ ☆Mastery: (Optional. Two kinds at max.) Note: (Empty means the unisex class without it's own magical capability.) __________ [nb.: We aren't sure if this thread is really "qualified" for the General / FE3H thread or not. So, better if we just posting it here than sorry.]
  23. There has been a fair amount of talk recently about a golden ending in three houses where all of the lords survive and everybody huggs and doesn't die! Unfortunately, this golden route would be REALLY boring, since it would be more about politics than actually doing stuff. Describe what you think it should look like, the more implausible, the better! For example... The game would probably look something like this: To form an alliance, Dimitri and Edelgard get married, whether this is arranged or not. Meanwhile, Claude would probably have to marry someone high up in the Adrestian-Faerghus empire. In an attempt to gain more power/leverage in Fodlan and remove conflit beween the chruch and Edelgard, Claude would probably become a diplomat working to find common ground bewteen them. At some point, the church starts to suspect that the Sltherers are doing stuff, so they send someone to investigate. They'd probably discover some stuff, so while the Adrestia-Faerghus empire is busy looking for clues, the Slitheries come forward and blow up some people and derailing the peaceful empire that had been built. In this conflict, Edelgard and the church are forced to work together, where they gain a better understanding of each other To fight the Slitheries, united Fodlan/surrounding territories slap the slitherers. Rhea dies while fighting and/or comes to accept humanity. After the war, Claude becomes king of Almyra, and works with the Ardestia-Faerghus to build a better future. Dimitri gets hit by a stray dark spikes spell from Lysithea and dies So, what do you guys think good Implausible stories for a golden ending in Three houses would be like?
  24. If there is one FE I will beat on the highest difficulty, it will be Three Houses. Currently, my end goal is to beat all paths on Maddening NG after testing things out on NG+. As for units, here are my current plans for them. It is a WIP, as the Golden Deer is the only finished faction right now. https://docs.google.com/document/d/18EAi089k46UQ6640HEUtagbH-GYWQj3EE5Np1oMzO18 I am open to revisions and advice to be put on this thread.
