  1. Since I did play much of Xenoblade Chronicles 3 around for 3 hours during at launch day and I was looking up for some ideas down for Noah what fits in the next SSB installment after Ultimate as a newcomer fighter. I had some couple of ideas down what I think Noah might have. I haven't checked out what the other classes special moves to pick for Noah's alternate special moves. Here's the list that I came up with so far: Special Moves Neutral: Changing Classes (Since Shulk uses the Monado Artes as his Neutral, what about this Neutral Special for Noah switches the classes and the weapons based on what he uses, he can also change to his main allies' classes and the Guardian Commander class as well) Kirby Copy Ability: Kirby would use the Changing Class, but it uses the Side Specials as the attacks depending on what Kirby uses. Side: Ground Beat for Swordfighter Class Back: Sword Strike for Swordfighter Class Up: Air Slash (He does have Air Slash like Shulk, but it felt it very different from Shulk's version) for Swordfighter Class Down: Edge Thrust for Swordfighter Class Shield + B: Overclocked Buster for Swordfighter Class Final Smash: Ouroboros (The Final Smash Helper would be Mio helping Noah be making the Fusion together in the Final Smash similar to like Dunban, Riki, & Fiora helping Shulk & Rex helping Pyra & Mythra) Costumes: Adventure & Soldier Off-Seer Outfit C1: Red Adventure Outfit (Default) C2: Black Soldier Off-Seer Outfit (Alternate Outfit) C3: Grey Adventure Outfit (Based on Mio's colors) C4: Gold Soldier Off-Seer Outfit (Based on one of the XC3 Antagonists N's Color) C5: Black Adventure Outfit (Based on Sena's colors) C6: Blue Soldier Off-Seer Outfit (Based on Lanz's colors) C7: White Adventure Outfit (Based on Taion's colors) C8: Green Soldier Off-Seer Outfit (Based on Mio's colors) Stage Nations of Keves & Agnus (this would change locations similar to like how Castle Siege handles) Spirits (or Trophies depending on which comes back in the next installment) If you had any ideas about Noah from Xenoblade Chronicles 3 for the next installment after Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, just post your ideas down.
  2. https://www.deviantart.com/enlightened-titan/art/Tokyo-2020-or-2021-Nintendolympics-Collaboration-888328848 It was a long road, like the actual Tokyo 2020, but we eventually made it. Note that there are 282 characters, counting the horses.
  3. Hello everyone! I just finished my first playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicle 2's Torna DLC, and was wondering if any of you have played it and what you thought! Overall I was very impressed by it. I loved that it really felt like a fleshed out game, and I was really hooked by the community system. Seeing those little stories intertwine was really satisfying. I've got just a few more to do in the post-game, with hunting down all the named monsters a particularly big task I'm looking forward to. As for plot stuff: All that said, I'm pretty sure this might be some of the best DLC content I've ever played. Perhaps only rivaled by BOTW. If any of you all have played it, what did you think? I'd love to discuss!
  4. Xenoblade Chronicles X was released in North America on December 4th 2015. To this day it is still my favorite game of all time. The vast alien world of Mira, imaginative monsters, refined combat system, pulse pounding soundtrack, excellent voice cast, and so much more create a wonderful experience filled with adventure around every corner. The game isn't a masterpiece, but what it does well, it does REALLY well. Xenoblade is definitely more well known for it's more story driven games like XC and XC2, but the exploration focused XCX captivated me in a way few other games have. Tell me what you think of Xenoblade Chronicles X and where you think the series can go next.
  5. So I got bored in APUSH and thought I'd share this tatoo I drew. It's the symbol for Monado Purge.
  6. Now, i know we already have a Xenoblade Chronicles thread. However, i'm making this thread to share my thoughts about the direct and hopefully you can too. So, let's begin. We got some backstory on the world of Alrest. Everyone lived on Elysium but then they got banished and sent to live on the Titans. However, even the Titans don't live forever and it looks like the main objective of the game is find a way back to Elysium. Living in paradise and then banished, where i have i heard this story before... Japanese voice pack confirmed. So, for those of you who complained about the English dub, you're saved. Personally, i lik the English dub but now there's an option for everyone. Story trailer. It looks very cool and there may have been a spoiler there but putting spoilers in their trailers is a Xenoblade thing appearntly. They did it with XC1, they did it with X, and now they're doing it with XC2. Zeke and his Blade, Pandoria are the newly revealed playable characters. Zeke definitely has my favorite design of the party. He's the black-clothed, eyepatch guy seen in the trailers and wallpapers. They also showed off some of the villains. Whenever a unique monster is defeated, a tombstone will appear when they fell. By visiting these tombstones, you can challenge them again. I think that's a really neat touch and it's better than having to wait for the unique monster to respawn like in previous games. Map in your way? Art names in your way? You can customize the UI to remove these to take in more of the scenery. As Poppi is an artifical Blade, she can be customized with special parts. You ca acquire these parts by playing a special retro Nopon mingame. My only worry is that Poppi will be to customization to the point where Tora never has to switch out. Three different types of combos: Driver Combos, Blade Combos, and Fusion Combos. I'm loving this combat system more and more. DLC confirmed. I can already hear the salt but i will say, it's basically following Breath of the Wild's DLC. The game will be supported with DLC all the way up to Fall of next year. It contains: Some new items New quests New Rare Blade (i actually don't like this part) New Challenge Mode Brand new story. The brand new story has me really hyped. Biggest surprise though is that on Nov.9th, Breath of the Wild will receive a free update. It contains a quest and, upon completing it, you'll recive Rex's clothes for Link to wear. This cross-promotion is really cool. So for those of you who watched, what are your thoughts? Are you more interested in the game now? I'm personally buying this at launch and having it be supported via DLC all the way up to Fall of next year is amazing.
  7. So we got a look at a new area in the game, as well as learning more about the battle system. Here's what we know Arts are now more streamlined. Instead of having to scroll through a bar just to select an Art, they are now available at the touch of a fingertip. Each Art will correspond to a button on the right Joy-Con. At first glance, a character has only four Arts. But that changes when the Blades come in. Each Blade comes with three normal Arts and one Elemental Art (so four Arts in total). Each character can have up to three Blades equipped and can switch between them during battle. If each Blade has four Arts and a character can have three Blades, then that's 12 Arts in total for each character. The Break and Topple system from the original game has been expanded upon. Now, there are four stages: Break, Topple, Launch, and Smash. Break and Topple work the same as they did in the original. Launch sends the opponent into the air and Smash sends them smashing back down into the ground. I don't know if Daze is still a thing or not. I'm leaning towards no, since Launch and Smash probably replaced it. There's an Element system. Chain Attacks are back. You can no longer see which enemies attack at sight and which don't. This was a conscious decision by the developers to make the world feel more alive. They want you to learn about these creatures as you explore. You can't attack while moving. Arts buildup every time you auto-attack. Then, whenever you use an Art, the Elemental Art charges up. It sounds slow but the Arts charge up pretty fast. Having certain Blades on you will let you do specific things on the field. They didn't show it but they used an example of how because Rex had Pyra with him, they were able to burn away logs that were blocking the water flow, allowing them to access new areas of the map. Fall damage is back. How wonderful. It seems there are no healing Arts. However, when attacking an enemy, they will occasionally drop healing potions that you can pick up. Picking one up instantly restores HP. Oh, and the enemy drops multiple of them. Still confused as to how this works exactly tho. Just like how you and your party consists of Drivers and Blades, there are enemy Drivers and Blades as well. And they can do the things you can do. There are even unique variants of these Drivers; the commentators noted how that Driver would've wiped them out in three hits. Environment and music is looking and sounding as amazing as ever. Heard some voice acting but i couldn't really judge it because the commentators talked over it. The battle system seems to have an emphasis on trade-offs, at least when it comes to more powerful attacks. This was noticeable in a battle with a Unique Monster. What happened was, a powerful elemental attack was used against the monster. It did a lot of damage but the monster than gained a resistance to it. So it comes down to using these powerful attacks at the right time. Oh btw, Chain Attacks will reset a monster's elemental resistance. I may have missed some stuff so be sure to watch the video when you can. Btw, if you notice any framerate drops, take note that the stream's quality was a bit bad. Of course, most framerate drops that are in the game will likely be gone by the time it releases (i say most because i'm sure there'll be a few rare ones in the final product. A game this big can't run smoothly 100% of the time Just look at Breath of the Wild).
  8. http://nintendoeverything.com/monolith-soft-on-xenoblade-x-western-changes-nintendo-europe-handling-xenoblade-2-nintendos-localization-process/ If you don't have time to read it, to summarize, Tetsuya Takahashi, the CEO of Monolith Soft, gave his views on the western localization of Xenoblade Chronicles X. He said that he doesn't really mind the localization changes that were made to the western versions of Xenoblade Chronicles X. He also goes on to state that during localization, the developers of the game are always involved in it, and there is constant communication between Nintendo of America, Europe, and Japan during localization. The Treehouse also travels to Japan every two months to speak with the developers who are bringing their games overseas. There's also mention of how basically some changes are done to keep a game from avoiding an M rating, as an M rating could negatively affect sales. Other than that, the interview also confirms that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is being localized by Nintendo of Europe (hence the British voice acting and i think i heard a Scottish accent in the trailer too) and that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will launch in Japan, North America, and Europe on the same day. What day that is, we don't know, but it's surprising they are aiming for a global release date. In fact, big Switch games in general seem to be having global release dates. This is good, because now Japan can't spoil Xenoblade Chronicles 2 for me.
  9. So apparently there is a well-documented playthrough of Xenoblade Chronicles that beats the game (final boss) at a ridiculously low level of 45. I didn't believe this when I first heard it, since mandatory EXP gains from locations/landmarks alone take you to level 57 or so, but apparently using some resetting glitch you can avoid this. In any case, I would like to watch these videos, but my Japanese skills are pretty mediocre, and I can't seem to find the thing on nico nico. If someone here who is more proficient at Japanese can help me find these videos, I would very much appreciate it.
  10. my favorites are Xenoblade and Undertale They're really wonderfully well rounded. I also really enjoy Wind Waker, Awakening, and Epic Yarn. actually any game I love tends to have a superb soundtrack because that's like the first criteria
  11. So it seems this game has no topic on the front page. This is unacceptable. So as many people already know, this game came out yesterday. I'm only about four hours in on Chapter 4. My avatar's name is Emily and she has blue hair and the Christina Vee voice option, although I'll likely switch between her and Carina Reeves throughout the game. I'm planning on going Galactic Knight. I mean, I already switched to Enforcer. Loving it so far. The music is great. I especially like Uncontrollable, THEMEX, and NLA - Day so far, as well as The Key We've Lost off of the Japanese website, although I know that it plays a bit later than where I am. So what about you? What are your impressions so far.
  12. I can't understand the extreme Japanese fixation people have. There are those who'd rather have just Japanese with subs than just an English dub. I can't even see why. People say the English voices are annoying, but those people must have terribly thin skin. People complain about games like Persona, but why? Persona has some of the best dubs I've ever seen. Why are people so obsessed with the Japanese dub? I think the only examples that infuriates me are games with British accents. My specific examples are Xenoblade. The only time I ever get insanely mad is when someone disses the dub of Xenoblade and trashes the voice actors. Yeah, no. The terrible Japanese actors are nothing compared to the amazing British voice cast. I'd even go as far as wanting to meet Adam Howden, Carina Reeves, or Jenna Coleman to complement their work. I can't believe anyone would dislike a perfect British dub. British voices are the best in the entire world, and it angers me that anyone could be that intolerant. rant over
  13. http://www.amazon.com/Xenoblade-Chronicles-X-Special-Wii-U/dp/B014LNTVGK/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1440891060&sr=8-2&keywords=xenoblade%20chronicles%20x%20special%20edition&tag=viglink24327-20 For $90. It includes the following (c/p'd from siliconera): The Xenoblade Chronicles X gameA gorgeous book of concept art with more than 100 pages, featuring select art for the very first timeA unique USB drive modeled after the game’s “Lifehold Unit,” pre-loaded with a selection of 10 music tracks from the game’s memorable soundtrackA limited-edition matted 5×7 art card of a painting done for the game by illustrator Takashi KojoI don't have a Wii U currently, so I'll be skipping out on this game for now. Though if you want the Special Edition, you should probably get it now: it's no secret that the special editions of Nintendo games sell out very quickly.
  14. Quite curious who you guys voted for. I tried to think of as many of the most popular choices that I most often hear, but let me know who it was I missed if he/she/it is not there. EDIT: Also explain why if you want.
  15. Okay so I just got Seven and am level 54 (Is that a good level for this point? I feel like I'm underleveled. Anyway, so I have questions about builds for characters, and I've gotten some opinions already, but I thought I'd spread my questions to a wider view. Shulk: His gems are all agility and strength plus, with blade armor and some brave equips. I feel like I should just keep going with this so eh. Arts: Back/Air Slash, Shaker/Stream/Slit Edge, Battle Soul, Shadow Eye, and Light Heal Reyn: I have mixed opinions about Reyn. I can't decide whether I want him to be an all-out heavy armour tank, or if I want him to be a combination of strength and agility like Shulk. I don't really have any ideas. Arts: Wild Down, Hammer Beat, Sword Drive, Berserker, War Swing, Bone Upper, Shield Bash Sharla: I generally put muscle up and ether defense, with some ether gems on Sharla. She doesn't do too much aside from keeping people from dying Arts: Head Shot, Thunder Bullet, Heal Blast, Heal Round, Shield Bullet, Cure Bullet, Heal Counter, Heal Bullet Dunban: I do generally thew same as Shulk, but with aggro generator. He has mostly agility and strength gems, with some double attack and haste, but I need help. Agility tanking doesn't really work because he keeps getting hit. I'm curious about how to do naked Dunban. Arts: Gale Slash, Worldly Slash, Tempest Kick, Electric Gutbuster, Steel Strike, Soaring Tempest, Spirit Breath, Peerless Melia: No matter how hard I try, I can't get her to be good. She attacks slowly and doesn't do much damage. I give her almost all ether gems and some ether defnese Arts: Summon Flare/Water/Bolt/Wind/Copy, Spear Break, Starlight Kick, Hypnosis Riki: I give him a lot of muscle and strength gems, but I'm not too sure where to go. I really like him though Arts: Tantrum, Burninate, Play Dead, Sneaky, Bitey, Happy Happy, You can do it, Roly Poly Seven: I would really like to do a tank build, but I have no idea how to do that. I don't know how to make her work or much about her arts. I need the most help here Also, I don't understand skills at all (Yeah, I'm pretty terrible at this game)
  16. So I finally got around to starting Wind Waker HD yesterday since I don't have to worry about school for a while, but now I just got new games so I don't know what to play. Because of this, I will ask you, the fine denizens of Far from the Forest, which game I should play! The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD (I've finished the GC WW several times, WW is/was my favorite Zelda) The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (LttP was my first Zelda, so I am really looking forward to this) Xenoblade (which I started at a friend's house and it's pretty fun, and I'm wondering what happens next) So, vote or something. Or suggest something else.
  17. Any of you who has tried to obtain Xenoblade in the past year or two is probably familiar with the vast array of problems with actually obtaining it. Some of you are aware that Gamestop is selling pre-owned copies for MSRP as a Black Friday sale online today (Thursday) and tomorrow, so, selling it for 39.99 USD, which is a far cry better than ~70 USD. So I go to order it. Get through all the steps: checkout, billing, shipping, confirmation... Fucking "Undefined: Order Submission Error" message. Sooo pissed. (Email sent to customer support, probably gonna try and go in to the physical store tomorrow, blah-blah-blah, but still, pisses me off). I'm not even sure why I'm telling you guys this. Meh. Well I guess there's a takeaway: tl;dr - Gamestop.com is selling Xenoblade at a reasonable price for Black Friday, have fun Success! Just got it at a physical store nearby today, yay~ tl;dr v2 - Buy it in a physical store if you still can today!
