  1. Greetings, fellow Fire Emblem enthusiasts! First time posting as someone who has been enjoying messing around with FEBuilder to create some interesting changes for myself and a friend to enjoy casually. I am mainly using it as a way to learn, but have run into a few issues which I have not been able to find a solution for. I don't wish for anyone to work themselves to the bone to fix them, but if anyone happens to know what the cause and solution is I'd very much appreciate the help. Right. Onto the issues I've been unable to resolve. At the end of this post I will list some of the bigger changes I do recall making. I do not know if these issues are related. Issue number 1: I've found myself getting some strange text-bugs where the game vomits the letter s on a screen repeatedly, and ends it with the word "broke!", which does not seem to be taken from text adress 3, as changing the text "broke!" in that adress does not change the text in the bug. This bug occurs when I examine an item without a 'use' description, or level up my weapon skill. From what little reference I've seen to these types of issues online, it seems like there may have been a change to some ID that shouldn't have been changed waaaaay back - so I'm afraid I can't remember what I've changed. I have not been able to find any instructions on what to do about it. I wasn't very careful with what I was doing at the start, since I didn't think I'd be putting in the many hours I have into this. Here's what the issue looks like. Item Use description Weapon Rank-up text Issue number 2: My second, more gamebreaking issue is one that does not just affect graphics. It stems from the SkillSystem patch, as I've been trying to assign characters with interesting and useful skills. Specifically, the issue lies in all skills that affect combat range. Point Blank for letting archers attack adjacent enemies, as well as +1 range on both bows and spells are a problem. Whenever I use the added range to attack an enemy capable of attacking back, my character with the skill has their attack skipped and the game proceeds directly to the enemy attack. I deal no damage, and my character doesn't move. It just acts as if the enemy attacked me and I was unable to counter. What's even worse is when I attack an enemy that can't attack back. At that point, the combat-screen opens and both models just stand there until I close the game. What's weird to me is that changing the range of the weapons themselves lets me attack at at 3x range or with bows at 1x range, so it's not an animation issue. The only issue is when the skills are what should allow me to attack, rather than the weapons default range. What I can recall doing: One obvious big change is the skill system patch. Another is the fact that I used the YUNE randomizer before I started modifying the game, swapping around characters and classes, as well as weapon stats. At the very start, I recall copying and pasting things like palettes, before finding that doing so causes the palettes to use the same ID and changing one therefore changes both. I've been much more careful with what I copy where since, but it is possible something like that is behind the issues I'm having. Finally, I'll provide a list of my installed patches. Thanks in advance. - Noel Woodsoul

  3. Hello Again everyone, since now my last LP/Challenge Run is over, I decided to take a break between games in order to not get frustrated and leave everything on the floor (Especially since the 3rd can be rage inducing if not careful). So instead I decided to do an side-series, which is.... Yeah, I'm going to start playing these babies randomized to see if things get too hectic (spoiler: they got really stupid as soon as the prologue). Since I'm using one of the best utility programs out there (Yune is a fantastic thing), here are the settings I choose: Growths & Bases: Going here full random since I want units really different from the original cast (especially when it comes to parenting). Assign Holy Blood: I like this mechanics, so I went full yolo and gave everyone holy blood to see if wild things happen later down the line while also messing up the bonuses for more options later down the line Skills: This is really important because I want actual options when it comes to choose pairings, so everyone has the same chances to get really wacky stuff (outside of pursuit with a really nice 50% chance per skill roll). I turn off Charge, Renewal, Paragon and Bargain because those are either too useful, powerful or an actual nuisance to deal with (I'm looking at you charge). Classes: Everyone's outside of dancers is in the blender so of course there's a good chance I need to deal with Julius without Narga. Children Options: Since the 2nd Generation will have it easy with all the inheritance I decided to have them randomized too in order to reduce my advantage (this option just only check if the kid have a weapon that share his parent, so people with a parent in the master knight class can be whatever). Holy Blood: I went shuffle because getting the same holy weapons is a bummer (Also, the legendary weapons have random bonuses so that's a thing to watch out too). Shops/Conversation Gifts: I went ahead and tailor that depending of the party since I want to actually beat this game. Enemies Table: Everything is randomized, so I can be ambushed by the whole church or assault a kingdom of princesses at the drop of a hat, so be prepared for some weird stuff. Promotions: Everyone can be anything, so expect shit like Noish tossing his horse in order to ride a dragon or Fury chopping her ride's wing since she has nausea. Buff Enemies: 50% growths for every enemies and a 25% chance for each enemy to spawn something outright painful....I'm feeling good about this one (Famous Last Words - 2019). Forced Holy Weapon: I hope I don't get something as dumb as Thorhammer frying my team as soon as CH2 pops in. I went against randomized the rings just because I don't want something as dumb as having two bargain/pursuit rings to abuse. With these out of the way, let's start our journey into the alternate Jugdral: Prologue, Part 1 - Jungby
  4. People have complained that Ike is the only one who can finish off Ashera. Lately, I've been of the same opinion and my argument was this: 1. Ike has a lesser connection to Ashera compared to several other characters so it might be more fitting to see someone like Micaiah also get the final kill as well since she's the Apostle and the other main character. 2. Most bosses in other FE games can be killed by any unit you desire which is more fun because it can allow an underdog unit to get the kill. After all this is an RPG so you should be able to play the game in the way you desire. However after thinking about it logically, it makes perfect sense that Ike is the one who gets the kill. Portrayal wise, Ike is the strongest forced deployed character in the tower. There is a reason why Ike is known as the Strongest Hero. Power is basically his shtick, more so than the other FE lords, especially Micaiah. Yune recognizes this and gives Ike her full power so that he can deliver the final blow because the one who has the highest chance of victory is the one who is strongest. One can argue why doesn't she just distribute her power evenly. The problem with this idea is that she's splitting her power which diminishes the gains each character gets and it makes more logical sense to enhance the strongest character power than to enhance everyone unless Ike can do a fancy collaboration attack with the others but its unlikely everyone can hit Ashera at the exact same time for this to work.
  5. Right before Radiant Dawn ends, it gives Ike credit for various heroic deeds but one thing I don't understand is the following. Final words In days long past, a young man strode the lands of Tellius. He was simple yet true, his deeds brave and noble. He reunited two races long at war, and healed the heart of a goddess long gone mad. Ask any you meet be they young or old, beorc or laguz, of a hero named Ike and you’ll receive a warm smile and a tale or two of faith, courage, and honesty. Fin Is it talking about Ashera, Ashunera or Yune? He doesn't change Ashera other than defeating her. Ashunera's heart is only healed because Yune merges with Ashera, not because Ike healed her. Also, Yune didn't change as a result of Ike's actions unless I'm missing something. Anyhow, it is ironic that the apostle, who has an actual connection with Yune, and by extension Ashera and Ashunera, doesn't get credit for this.
