  3. How to remove FE7 tutorials? I need to remove this because since I am making my hack, the location of my characters are in different area but the tutorial is keep working(For example, the location of my character is far away to the place where should I place lyn in tutorial. the cursor where tutorial is telling, conversation of tutorial etc.) I need to remove this so i can make my fire emblem hack well. please help me. Also how to remove Lyn illustration and other illustration appearing in FE7(ex death of eliwood father, nergal removing hood etc) Fire Emblem(U)(Venom) is my version (just incase you need to know or needed to know) I check a certain video at youtube for making text using Eventiel, but eventiel is really not working to me and other say it was down in somepart.
  4. I randomly deicided to make this rebalance patch for FE7, Here's what it does - It changes all stat caps to 30. - Some characters have been reclassed. - The Final boss is more challenging.
  5. Hello, fellow members of the FE community! I am proud to be announcing a large new up-and-coming Fire Emblem project. As you may be able to tell, it is a fandub of FE7 where we hope to voice a large chunk of supports as well as eventually the campaign. What you can do now is audition here: https://www.castingcall.club/projects/fire-emblem-7-the-voiceactening/. Auditions are submitted via sound files of all the audition lines recorded through a voice recorder like Audacity or a built-in one on your phone or PC. Auditioning for multiple to many characters is definitely recommended if not strongly advised. Should we pick you for one or more roles, you shall earn a spot in our private discord, where matters will be discussed further.   6. k so in fe7 in the dorcas chapter with natalie, she's an npc. Thing is, she doesn't have a unit window like every (most?) other units do. It seems directly tied to her character, not her class, and I just wanted to know how or why or whut for possible duplication. My guess is it's hardcoded unless I'm missing something obvious. Thanks

Hello guys i'm searching for people to make a custom sprite sheet of a paladin wielding Durandal, right now all I have is Fire Emblem 6 Eliwood Paladin wielding Durandal, but I am not the best Sprite modder here's a sprite I made myself it's exactly what I envision from a paladin, how I did this was quite simple, I took photo from FE6 gameplay then cut out the background stuff then went ahead took a photo from FE7 gameplay at the right time sliced the background stuff out yet again then I deleted the lance mirrored the paladin image then copied the photo with eliwood wielding the durandal at the right angle and Deleted Eliwood keeping only the Durandal intact, it turns out that Eliwood's colour palette in Fire Emblem 7 is the same as his Fire Emblem 6 Paladin Colour Palette. If you read this Then I don't really care if you credit me for the idea just don't go claiming it was your idea, I already made the first frame to show what I'm aiming to accomplish EDIT: I'm going to continue making the look of the sprite as one frame isn't good enough

I'm pretty proud of these ideas, feel free to add on so I can pester someone to add them!.
  9. I have decided to use the program Nightmare recently on Fire Emblem:Blazing Sword to create a new, unique experience for me within the game. However, I have a few questions regarding it and I am having some problems with the program that I would like to get resolved asap. 1.Every time I edit the map music, after an animation is started, the music is cut out and won't come back until the next phase. How do I fix this? 2.I was using a randomized rom of FE7 because I saw my base class for Lowen was archer and I wanted to make him a mercenary. If I want to do this, do I have to use a regular rom for FE7 without messing with it or there another way? 3.How do I increase the enemy growth rate's of characters without using the Randomizer and how do I activate Hard Mode Bonuses on Eliwood Hard Mode? Thank you for taking your time for reading this and helping me out with these Nightmare problems. Its just that this is quite a "nightmare" for me! lol

  11. I just want to say that I was looking for this type of document for 30 minutes before deciding it'll be a better use of my time to go onto Nightmare and put all the offsets onto a document. I then thought that I can share this for lazy people like me so I did. Notes: 1. Every offset starts with 0x8 but that's not needed in most programs you'll use this stuff in. 2. There's no organization to this because I just copied this straight out of Nightmare and how the program had these values organized. They go from 0x01 to 0x78. 3.   13. Hi, I´m interested in hacking/modding (correct me please) fire emblem 7, but... I have a huge problem, I don't know how to hack/mod, I downloaded "GBA Nightmare Modules", "FEditor ADV" and "Advance Pallete Editor", I don't know how to use any of these, so I ask. Could anybody give me an explanation on how to change animations, portraits and text (descriptions for my characters) please? Thank you.
  14. So, I've finally understood how to edit the portraits and load them into the game, but I've noticed every character has a different possition for the blinking and the talking animations. How do I program this?

He's trying to slowly progress, though it seems every recruited character before the chapter you recruit Lyn in is dead except for Oswin and it's progressing slowly.   16. I recently came to the conclusion that I've been overwriting stuff on my ROM. Long story short, I did not repoint my spell association nightmare module properly and ended up writing over parts of the ROM. I tried to fix this by repointing the original section plus the additional bottom portion. This did not seem to fix my problem as my game still freezes up and random black patches appear on maps that normally don't have them. Is there anyway to fix this? I'd prefer it if I didn't have to start over as I put a lot of work into this. I can't revert back to old backups as I repointed the spell association module about a year ago when I originally started on this project thinking I did it correct, until recently when it was brought to my attention that I did not. I don't have backups that far back. I did try to copy vanilla hex from a fresh copy of FE7 to my edited ROM in an attempt to fix it but that didn't work out, hence the freezes and black patches still happening.
  17. Hello, my name is Salvius. I was recently inspired to begin work on a brand new hack for Fire Emblem 7 since it is on the Gameboy making it well within my means to mod and because I personally enjoyed that iteration in the franchise. I was however severely deterred by the sheer amount of work that must go into modding a new game. I attempted to look for tutorials on what I needed to do to get started and though I found several, many wished for me to have such and such knowledge in advance or even worse to have payed for programs like RPG maker. I understand the merits of such a program, however I didn't wish to pay cash just to show off a fun hack I made to some friends. I digress. If you came to this topic expecting an expert breakdown of what must be done to create your very own project, this isn't the place and I'm telling you now I don't believe such a thing exists. If you think I'm being wasteful or not very efficient in my work, your probably correct (I do appreciate any feedback or questions you may have though). This topic is to catalogue everything I've done in my journey to create my very first hack. I write this log in the hopes that it will motivate me to act and that it can connect others who are in a similar predicament to myself. This log is written by the ignorant and is dedicated to everyone frustrated with how making a new fire emblem hack from scratch without any prior experience can seem near impossible. So without any further delay let's begin my Let's Mod Log of Fire Emblem 7.
  18. Hey all I had some quick questions since im with a friend and we are trying to figure out rom hacking together. 1) How do you change a FE7 Class ability? and what are the Hex values on FE7? [ We are wanting to add mounted units the ability to move again after attacking. ] ----------------------------------------------------------- On a side note, is it possible to remove the ability to move around on the main map of FE8? Thus making it more linear and disallowing grinding?

It's small but I made a promise to have this out by early August and I plan to commit to that promise. What Is This? Clash of Fates is a fan-made League of Legends themed mod centering on a war started between Noxus and its allies and the fall of the Institute of War. In the wake of the League Championship series final matches the City-States of Noxus and Zaun launched a devastating attacking upon the Institute of War. A potent weapon known only as spell blight cut those on sight of the Institute of War off from their magic while their aggressors were fully prepared for battle. For now, the story turns to Riven, an exile of her country who opposes the brutal nature of this attack. My ultimate goal for this mod is to produce something that will cater to fans of the League of Legends game but will also satisfy Fire Emblem fans. This is a mod I dont want to make about difficulty, but rather something different and more memorable. Expect the game to offer more beyond a main story. How much is done right now? What I have in the patch right now is a complete chapter but I formerly had two playable chapters and one structured but not playable. Music? I plan on eventually getting around to edits to the OST. Don't ask me for a ROM. I won't give you one. 7/30/15: So I have some explaining. I realized that I didn't like the direction I was heading in so I opted to do some restructuring. I decided I wanted to focus a little bit more on other Champions so I wanted to branch out and explore that. With the Lore of the game finally making a come back I decided that hey, I should put forth a little more effort while dealing with one hundred different projects. The following patch v.0.2 contains 3 Chapters. Two that follow Sion and Fiora and a "Trial" that follows Ashe. Hopefully this is worth posting.
  20. I was wondering how I can use the character banner and character forcer patches on a ROM that I've been working on for quite some time? Apart from already testing it out and finding out that it doesn't work on non fresh ROMs. How do I get those two "effects" onto my hack? Do I really need to start over in order to the effects from the two patches?
  21. Okay, so I replayed Sacred Stones for the 50th time and had a couple of ideas running through my mind. How about this; a hack that imports mechanics from FE8 straight into FE7? And I don't mean literally everything hence my idea's already a bold enough statement, but think about it. -Multiple promotion options. -Rebalanced stat caps for classes. (assuming FE7's were flawed in any way) -Eliwood and Hector's stories crammed into one giant adventure, with the Gaidens about a whole other perspective. (much like Chapter 5x in FE8 where you get to play as Ephraim while Eirika's on her way to his aid) -Trainee classes for FE7 units that needed babying in the original. (Nino... uh, who else again?) -Nerfed weapons/tomes. (I highly doubt it; Luna sucks in FE8 as it does lol) -The freaking option to promote the main lords at any point and not in a cutscene. I'm kind of running out of ideas. I'll leave it up to you amazingly talented hackers to decide whether or not this'd be a hoot to work on.
  22. Hello everyone, long time lurker here starting on a new project. Usurper* plans to be a hack following Desmond* and his young band of thieves as he travels in exile. As of yet I have 3 maps done and 1 in progress. With no eventing or anything else done yet. I hope to be able to use some new sprites and get things worked out with new classes.   23. I am modding my Fire Emblem 7 game for an enhanced experienced. I added a few difficult maps as well as 4 new characters to recruit. Otherwise, the game remains pretty much the same. Because of the added characters, I had to rejigger some of the supports conversations. This is where I am having problems. I have noticed that certain support conversations (the textual part) will not load during battle. Basically the characters trigger the support, the support successfully increases in rank; however, the text is missing entirely. I noticed this happening with several character such as Sain and Kent's support, which I didn't think I touched. I also confirmed that Lyn and Kent's support triggered normally as well as Lyn and Florina. At this point, I am not sure what the problem is or where it is happening. I am wondering if anyone ran into a similar issue and could point me in the right direction. Thanks!

Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, did something that I always thought was brilliant: it included two "books," a remake of the first game and then a full on sequel, while the whole package was a refinement of the systems already established in the first game and (to a lesser extent) Gaiden. The idea of having the prequel and the sequel together in one place always delighted me, and, so, for someone looking to get his start with ROMHacking, a thought a neat idea would be doing the same treatment for Fire Emblem 6 and 7, where, instead of Hector's Story, you played Roy's Story, which was Fire Emblem 6. Mapping out the Chapters (including trimming Lyn's story down to 7+1 Gaiden chapter, 30 Eliwood Chapters in a mix of main, Gaiden, and A/B Route splits, and trimming off just one Chapter of FE6), not only is there enough room for all the Chapters from 6, there's room enough for one more chapter in FE7 to better tie the two together. However, there are other limitation concerns I was wondering about: 1. Character limitations. Counting Wallace/Geitz, Nils/Ninian, and Harken/Karel as one unit each, Fire Emblem 7 has 46 available characters by the Finale (45 if we consider Merlinus's lack of deployment and Athos's ability to deploy as them exchanging character limit positions). Applying the same to Lalum/Elphin, Echidna/Bartre, and Dayan/Yuno, Fire Emblem 6 has 50 available characters (51 if we count Merlinus). Is there room enough in Fire Emblem 7's ROM to accommodate 50/51 available, deployable characters? What's the hard cap for available characters? 2. Speaking of Character Limitations, while you'd never have them all in one room, that is still 103 individual recruitable characters, not to mention all the new bosses (even if we trimmed out all the Monke's down to 1 in the Sacae Route Gaiden Chapter). Can the ROM support all that character, unit, and portrait data, let alone potentially 7 new playable characters (5 NPC's and Bosses promoted to playable in FE7, 2 NPC's/Bosses in FE6)? 3. Support Limits. Restoration Queen ran into technical problems with FE8's ROM, working around new paired endings, that some of the originals had to be cut. A potential "Elibe Book 1, Book 2" project would have all the supports from 7, AND from 6, AND all the endings from both (the shortened endings would obviously be cut, but that's still all the full character endings). What are the hard and fast limits on new supports and new paired endings (if, say, one of the new playable characters had a support and paired ending with one of the original characters?) 4. Would it just be easier to remake both FE7 and 6 in Microsoft XNA like FE7x is doing? It'd technically be more work but there would be so much hardware room to work with?
