  1. Since Leon is my favourite character in Echoes I looked up his wiki page, and found very few info about his Gaiden self. So, I know in Echoes he is gay, but I wasn't able to find anything about him being it or not in Gaiden. Somewhere I read that he was close to Valbar in Gaiden as well, but they were more like brothers there (not blood related of course). Do anyone know anything about it? I'm just simply curious.
  2. Why this guy's name was changed to Leon is beyond me. The extended range of Valentia archers is definitely welcome, and since he joins up pretty early, he's great for chipping enemies on Celica's route. . .wait, wrong game. In this game, Leon is a 4*-5* unit that comes with a nifty bow, and two perfectly serviceable skills. He has the second-highest base Attack of archers, only being beaten by Bride Cordelia and Trick or Defeat! Jakob, both of which are event units. He also has decent Defense, middling Speed, rather low Res, and a questionable HP pool. In other words, take Virion, give him a better bow, and dump his extra HP into Attack and Defense. Thanks to his stat spread, Leon's build is pretty flexible. +Atk and +Spd give him different builds. +Def opens up some silly options. +HP means he can take a bit more magic flak. +Res is a +4 bonus, and can be used as a ranged EP option (well, one EP). 5* max stats: HP: 35/39/42 Atk: 31/34/37 Spd: 27/30/33 Def: 26/30/33 Res: 12/15/19 Red indicates a higher bane. Blue is a higher boon. Builds: Fire and forget (+Atk) Firesweep (+Atk) Slaying Desperation (+Spd) Alternate Brave set (+Spd) Ranged Bait (+Def/+Res) TODO: Input from other people. I'm pretty sure I'm missing a bunch of things! Revision history: 1/6/18 - added non-breaker notes as well a couple of Heavy Blade options 1/16/18 - with Quick Riposte available in a different slot, the Ranged Bait build has a lot more options!
  3. Well, I decided to start this. Just last Christmas I bought Crusader Kings II, and pretty much almost all of its DLC. So, like with the cancelled Victoria II LP before it, I figured, why not narrate a playthrough? This shall be fun. On the time this thread was made, I owned almost all of the DLC that has been released at the time (Monk and Mystics was still as TBR), but I figured better to start now than to wait. Only DLC I was missing was a few music packs and the ebooks, so nothing that changed the gameplay. For this playthrough, I'm starting with the earliest start date (769AD), and choosing the Kingdom of Asturias. My main goals are these: Reenact the Reconquista, and expell the Muslims from Iberia. Form the Empire of Hispania. I'll also try to aim for some optional secondary goals in mind: Expand into North Africa. Obtain a high enough end score to beat the highest in-game records. And a wild goal unlikely to really be reached (maybe): Reform the Roman Empire. I'm starting right away with my next post being the first update. So anyone reading this before that happens, please refrain from posting until that first update is made. Thank you. So, when creating a new game, there are many settings to establish. I'm mostly with the "Historical" and "Default" options. And avoiding Ironman mode, since I want to manually save, thank you very much. And, oh yes, one main thing: No Sunset Invasion! Seriously, I'm all for going ahistorical in these kind of games... but an Aztec/Nahua invasion of Medieval Europe? Nope, the line must be drawn here! This far, no further! The game has a lots of mechanics, and I'll try my best to explain in the narrative as they become relevant. For anything I miss or don't explain right away, feel free to look it up or ask me and I'll explain. Anyway, this initial post will also host a table of contents with links to the respective posts. So without delay... let's begin, shall we? Table of Contents
  4. I am creating a sand box page that focuses on today's (different time period in North America) April Fools content that was shown in the Japanese website of Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. But, I might need some help with the translations from any translators that be willing to help out in this page for site that doesn't use Google Translation as a reliable translation and proof reading with the grammar with the description for Valbar, Leon, and Kamui and the rest of the info from the site. And probably going to show this to VincentASM (Avyen Knight) for the approval and ask where to put this at so that we can get the info and translations down. https://serenesforest.net/wiki/index.php/User:King_Marth_64/Sandbox/Fire_Emblem:_Battle_of_Revolution Incase if you haven't noticed or seen it yet from the April Fools content that was shown in the official Japanese website, this was founded here: https://www.nintendo.co.jp/3ds/ajjj/0401/index.html But, I am not exactly sure if we are going to get the same April Fools in the website in the North American, European, and other countries or this is going to be Japan exclusive April Fools?
  5. Hi! I´ve been looking for that skills but I can´t just find them. Does someone have they? If so , could you give your castle address to acquire they? Thanks!!
  6. Seeing how the game is soon coming out here in the West I'm starting to take notes on things, like who I want to marry and such. I plan on going with Conquest first, and eventually will marry Luna, Marx, Odin, Effie, Flora and Leon. I haven't looked up things like classes, stats and similar things so I would like some thoughts on those pairings, how to use the kids you get, classes for everybody etc.
  7. Bit different this week, couldn't do a poll, so choosing the most popular male character, the Avatar's little brother, Leon. Quite busy so I will put up the stats later, but discuss in the meantime.
