  1. I'm just curious. Does anyone have any guess/info regarding a western release and translation of the Fire Emblem Engage manga that they announced earlier or is it "cross fingers for a fan translation" as per usual? I know that all the previous ones haven't gotten a western release, but with the adaptation of Engage going so far to be published on the Shonen Jump+, I wondered if we maybe had some hope this time around.
  2. Hey guys. I just found this military isekai novel called Nihonkoku Shoukan (日本国召喚) or Japan Summons/Summoning Japan. It is basically like GATE, but instead of an interdimensional portal appearing in the middle of Japan, the entire country was apparently isekai'd to another world. It is written by someone named Minorou-san. The story is still not finished and is still ongoing to this day. SYPNOSIS In the Great Orient, lies the continent called Rodenius. One day, an unidentified flying object arrived at Qua-Toyne Principality’s airspace. The unidentified flying object defied the Principality’s common sense. But that unidentified flying object was just a harbinger of something even more shocking. Far to the eastern sea, a group of islands suddenly appeared. The country of the islands called itself: Japan. According to them, their nation had been transported to another world. Now finding themselves separated from their old world and must survive in the new one, how will Japan interact with the native countries of this world? Will they greet her as a friend or as an enemy? This is a story of the country called Japan as it was engulfed in the chaotic storm of the world. ENGLISH TRANSLATIONS Unfortunately, the story is Japanese only and it doesn't seem like it would be released overseas anytime soon. So unless you can travel to Japan and understand Japanese, you won't be able to read the novel. However there are some fan translations for this story that you can find on the internet which would help people understand the dialogues and story better. However, only most of the story was translated, so you would have to wait for the translators to finish the rest. You must take note that the story is told through the Web Novel, Light Novel, and Manga. Three of them already have some translations, but as I have mentioned, they still haven't translated the entire story yet. Here are some links to the Web Novel translations: Mob of Deer Hana Bara Hana AvianTL And here are some links to the Light Novel translations: Yukkuri Free Time Literature Service Hana Bara Hana (Light Novel Version) And lastly, here is the link to the Manga translation: Nihonkoku Shoukan - MangaDex NON-TRANSLATED STORY If you can understand Japanese just fine, then you can always check out the raw manga and web novel. Unfortunately, I don't have the Light Novel, so I cannot provide you the Japanese Version of the Light Novel. Raw Manga: ComicWalker Raw Web Novel: Syosetu FAN WIKI Alternatively, if you don't want to read the entire story to know about the places, characters, and events that takes place in the story, just browse to the fan wiki. Just note that some information on the Wiki are pretty inaccurate, but the wiki is your best bet if you want to know about the tiny bits of lore of Nihonkoku Shoukan without reading the entire story. Here is the link to the Fan Wiki: Nihonkoku Shoukan Wiki If you want to read this military isekai, just click on the links of the LN/WN/Manga of Nihonkoku Shoukan (either the translated story, or the raws.) Once you are done, please share your thoughts about it. I would like to hear your thoughts about this story. (Also sorry for my terrible English)
  3. So, I recently got my hands on the Invisible Kingdom/Revelation side manga released for Fates. I’ve been translating it with online translators so I can read it, as I cannot read or speak Japanese, but there’s a few lines of dialogue that either the AI cannot detect the characters used or the translation comes out borderline nonsensical. Can anyone help translate these? Just a quick note—for the first two, the lines I need translated are the ones in black with a white border, in a font that resembles messy/quick handwriting.
  4. Hello! As anyone following me on social media (likely no on reading this thread, I don't have a terribly large following) knows, Navarre is my favorite FE character. Since he's not an overly popular character, I decided about two years ago to start collecting all of the official merchandise featuring him- TCG, artbooks, ect. There aren't really scans for most of these books online (Which is fine, people should buy the books themselves for the text imo but I do wish there were scans of all the artwork available) - a lot of them only have shaky phone pictures. Still, I think I know for the most part which images are from which books. However, upon buying Fire Emblem - The Complete, I found to my surprise, a short manga! (Two, actually, but I haven't scanned the second one yet. The second one is about the whitewings, I think?) I've never seen anyone mention this before... so I'm assuming most people haven't heard of it. I mean, I was doing digging for artwork for two years and didn't find it until I bought the book myself! I've scanned the whole thing and put it in my Google Drive- I also attempted a rough translation, but my Japanese is entirely self taught and not very extensive so I had to rely on Google Translate quite a bit... if anyone who actually can read Japanese sees this, I'd be super happy if you'd give this a quick look and see if I got anything horribly wrong! Here's the raw scans And here's my attempt at an English translation I also don't read enough to know who the artist actually is. If anyone in the know could tell me, that'd be great!
  5. The past year has been an eventful one for Shonen Jump magazine, with the end of giants like Haikyuu, Demon Slayer, and The Promised Neverland, with Black Clover and My Hero Academia entering their final arcs. This has led to a vast number of new series to be greenlit for the magazine, so I was hoping to see what popular opinion is on these new weekly series in the West.
  6. As the title says, who would die? I have a few ideas, which are the following: Kliff: Dies during the battle at the Southern Outpost, to introduce to the audience the idea that anyone can die Faye: Dies in the aftermath of the defeat of Desaix, having been wounded in the battle and dying after the fact to make the battle seem less victorious. Tobin: Dies during the final battle against Duma, as more fuel for Alm to attack Duma with more power and anger. What do you think? Any bad ideas on mine or any you would add/change?
  7. Welcome to Fala Scans' work on the FE5 manga! This manga gets to around chapter nine character + event wise, give or take, with a lot of things excluded and replaced or simply left out due to the low volume count. These books are slightly short of 200 pages per book. Please enjoy! Edit: I do need to include the cover and stuff still. Forgot about that. As usual. Volume One: Chapter 0
  8. Welcome to more FE4 (and eventually FE5) manga translations! This time, Anthologies and 4Komas! How this is going to be set up: I'm working on these one at a time per book (choosing each new book at random), so each story will be zipped by itself. The file names will end after their page count with the abbreviations of their respective title, so if you plan to dump them all in the same folder, you'll still see where each new story begins and ends. Folders are numbered by the number story before the title so they stay in order and don't end up auto sorted by name and out of book order. Once we complete a book, they'll all be zipped together, and until then individually uploaded. Some of these are utter crack and just silly nonsense, others are completely (or mostly) serious stories, and some are a bit of both - so expect a little bit of everything! Enix Supercomic Gekijoh Vol. 7: My Personal Guardian (Noish/Aira) To Rally Courage (Sylvia centric, implied Alec/Sylvia) Please let us know of any mistakes so they can be fixed!
  9. I would like to hear everyone's thoughts and reactions to the American Live Action Deathnote on Netflix.
  10. The Fates manga Crown of Nibelungen has just gone on sale, in the newest issue of Comic Zero Sum. I doubt anyone has had the chance to read it yet, but the magazine did release a nice piece of promotional art for the series launch.
