  1. Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light is the first game in the Fire Emblem series, developed by Intelligent Systems and published by Nintendo. It was first released on the Famicom (known internationally as the Nintendo Entertainment System) on April 20, 1990. It takes place on the continent of Archanea. Hello everyone. My name is Ricey and I am here to announce my new online reality game, or ORG, that I will be hosting in the next coming months. I am from another forum that plays these games religiously. They are several different games that span different formats and different genres. This is actually going to be my sixth game that I have hosted so far and the first from the Fire Emblem series. I am actually a huge fan of the Fire Emblem franchise, which is why I am here in the first place. I though that the best thing that I could do for this series is put all of my love and passion into a game. There is nothing more exciting than finding a cast who is dedicated and really put their souls into making the performances come to life. On top of that, a great host that puts so much effort into it too can really bring things to life. I thought that there would be nothing better than to ask some hardcore fans of the series to play in this. The community that I host regularly from has a few Fire Emblem fans sprinkled in, but nothing that would really bring a Fire Emblem ORG, especially one that is dedicated to FE1, to life. That's why I thought that it would be great to ask if anyone wanted to join here. If this game goes well, I plan to make a game for every single Fire Emblem game. Possibly barring possibly making the Tellius games into one big game since Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn have the same cast for the most part. I actually have never even played FE1, but I thought that it would be foolish to start a series and not start with the game that started it all. Though, don't get me wrong. I am not going to be doing Gaiden. I am going to go use Shadows of Valentia for my next game. Better graphics to work with. The avatars that I have made for this are rough enough looking. That's for sure. In the simpliest terms, an ORG is an online reality game. What that means is that it is an online game, usually hosted on another site, that is somewhat related to reality shows. The most common reality game that it is based on is Survivor. Which is when two teams face off each other. They have challenges and the team that loses the challenge has to vote someone out of the game. ORGs have evolved a lot in the last decade that I have been playing them. Most games now have formats that host themselves have made up, but they usually do have at least some similarities to the simpler formats like Survivor that I mentioned. These games are completely anonymous. You have no idea who is playing in these. In these games, you will be playing a character. In this game's case, you will be playing as someone from Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light. In a sense, you are roleplaying as that character. It doesn't really matter if you are in-character or not. I have seen some people completely be out of character. Like imagine Bowser from the Mario series be played like a effeminate paranoid queen. It does not matter how you act. You can even act just like yourself if you wanted. You just have to make sure that you never tell anyone who you are outside of the game. Communication is based through the PM system. In most games, you can talk to everyone on the main forum like this forum right here, but then you can talk privately to people on your team through private messaging. Usually, there are rounds every night from between Sunday and Thursday with Friday and Saturday being days off. There will sometimes be days off on the weekdays, but that is up to the host. Most hosts are forgiving and will do a day off if a lot of the cast begs hard enough. Not all games are Sunday through Thursday though. That's just the most common. Some have rounds that are a few days a part. This game will not be one of those though. 🙂 We are all familiar with Fire Emblem games. We know how they work. There is a war going on. Good verses evil. Then we end up finding out that the evil people have a dragon or is a dragon or made the dragons mad. You know. We always have to defeat a dragon in the end. I don't know why I am mentioning dragons so much. Basically, the main premise of Fire Emblem, at least in the beginning, was about combat. That is why the format of this game is going to be all about defeating your enemies in battle. Gotta make sure that you don't have your HP go down to zero before your enemies. That's for sure. The format of this game is Arena format. I am sure that none of you know what that even is so I will explain it to make it a little bit easier. In the arena format, there will be two teams. These teams will be made at the start of the game by the players themselves. Every round, every single person in the game is going to do a challenge. This challenge will basically be your life or death. Challenges in these games are usually the same mainstays. Mazes, word searches, crossword puzzles, and a few other ones that basically are in every other game that have challenges. The person who finishes the challenge first on each team will be immune from the vote and can not be voted out. Then, each team will vote out a single person from their team. Then, the people that have been voted off each tribe will go against each other in the arena. The player who did the best in the challenge will survive and the person who did the challenge slowest will be eliminated from the game. The person who survived the duel will then be able to pick if they would like to go back to their original tribe or mutiny to the other tribe. This will be the only format in this game. If this game goes well and a lot of people are interested in it, then I would love to add different formats to future games in this series, but I really do want to have people in this format actually try these ORGs. I would hate for people to get overwhelmed because I added too much in this game. I know that even this might be a little too much to new players, but I promise that it won't be that bad! I know that I literally JUST in the last paragraph mentioned that this would be a simple game, but there is going to be one small twist in this game. The twist of this game is going to be the standard money twist that has become somewhat of a staple of the ORG community that I am from. I know that none of you know what that is either so I will explain it a little bit. I haven't explained everything to the other forum either, but I will basically give a small rundown just to make it easier. Anna's shop is going to be opening up in my game. In this shop, you can buy a few items and weapons that can help you along your travels through this game. The things that you could buy are advantages in the challenge that will cut down on your time. Say that a steel sword takes ten seconds off your challenge time. That means that whenever you play that, you will have ten second taken off the challenge that you did for that round. You could also buy a shield. This would block a vote against you whenever you play the vote. That is basically a small rundown. There will be a lot of different items in this game. The whole shop will be shown from the start of the game and won't be shown until then. How do you get the items though? You will have to spend your hard earned money, duh! How do you get money? You get money through a few different ways. This will also be explained more once the game starts, but I will tell you a few of the easier ways. You get money for surviving each round. You get money for each vote cast against you. You get money for surviving the arena. The arena loser will give their money to someone of their choosing. You can also do a few different tasks throughout the day that will be explained as well. Money is important and could change the tides of the game in your favor! Here comes the fun part. This is probably the part that would entice you guys the most? I don't really know, if I am being honest. I don't even know if anyone is going to read this thread or care about this in the slightest. All I can do is post this thread and bump it periodically to hope that people can get involved with it that way. I made all of these avatars myself. Honestly, someone else usually does them for me and they look a LOT better, but... I decided that I would be a big boy and make my own. They look rough, but I am planning on updating them throughout the game. These won't be their final look. This game was made in 1990 and the sources from the game are ROUGH. Honestly, I am going to probably continue through this game and update it. We will start in FE1 and then probably move into F11 so we can have some updated sources, but for now... these are the sources that we have to work with. God... don't we LOVE how ugly Abel used to be? He has such a glow-up in Heroes compared to that bucktooth. Above are the eighteen people that I initially selected to be in this game. This was based on who actually had sources from Shadow Dragon and the Blade of Light, but some of these like Navarre and Lena are actually from FE3.... so I already failed at keeping all of the sources from the same game. That means that if you would like to play as someone like Jeorge or Ogma that have FE3 sources, but didn't have FE1 sources then let me know and I will gladly add them to the cast. I am very accommodating because I need a cast. There are so many random females like Nyna in the cast because the community that I play in love to play as females so that is why I padded the cast with them. In hopes that some people would join that way. CAEDA AND MERRIC ARE ALREADY TAKEN. To sign up for this game: PM me a few people that you would like to play as. This is just in case that two people sign up as the same person. Got to be fair and all of that. Like I mentioned in the last paragraph, if you would like to play as someone that I did not post then you can. Just let me know and I will see if they have a good enough source to use. The only rule is that they HAVE to be from FE1 or FE3. That means no Mystery of the Emblem only characters. The only reason for that is that they would not mix well with the rest of the game in terms of style. Those dark DS sources against the bright and silly NES ones... iconic. PLEASE DO NOT ASK TO PLAY IN THIS THREAD. Like I mentioned before, if you read the massive wall of text that this already is, this is an ANONYMOUS game. Do not tell anyone that you signed up. Do not say that you are signing up in this thread. I mean, sure. You can talk about this and I would LOVE to explain more about these in the thread if you have questions. You can also ask question in PM too. I know that these are foreign as can be to some people so I would love to break it down as much as I can for people. I am not the best at explaining so if something didn't make sense in this thread, let me know. Right. I forgot about this. Probably important to discuss, right? This game is actually not until a few months from now. We like to talk about things months in advance because it can be a hassle casting these. Plus, honestly, these can take a bit of your time if you want them to so it is good to know exactly when this is going to start just so you have some time to prepare for everything. This game is scheduled to start sometime in early November. I do not have a set date scheduled yet for this. I am probably going to announce that in late September. If I had to guess, this would start probably November 6th? I don't know for sure. It will either be November 6th or November 13th. Just having settled on the exact idea. This game is going to last around two weeks. The rounds are probably going to be around 9-10PM EST time. You can do the arena challenge anytime during the day. The only requirement is that you have to do the challenge before the round begins. If you can't make it to the round, you can always do the challenge whenever you have time and you can vote someone out of the game earlier in the day too. It is not required to be here during the round. Basically all you need to do is the challenge and vote every round. It is as simple as that. The live results each round will probably last about thirty minutes each round. You will have a fifteen minute period to vote, the votes will be revealed, and then the duel results will be posted. It won't take long at all. I think that I explained everything as best as I could? I might have missed something though. PM me here or ask in the thread if you have any questions. I really hope that I get some sort of response for this because I really do think that this could be a lot of fun for people here. Imaging bringing your favorite Fire Emblem character to life. 😮
  2. Sadly no pictures because quality reasons Well, I've encountered a total of 3 hackers on online matches. These were the hacks they did: 1.) Changing everyone's Mov to 20. I don't even think it is possible to get over 11, let alone 20! The thing that really made me surrender was the warp skill that EVERYONE had. It basically made it so they could move wherever they wanted in a short amount of time. They also had replicate but that's different. 2.) Takumi with Point Blank. I don't know if it is DLC in Japan but I know it is impossible to get in America at the moment. 3.) All Stats at 70 without pairing or skills. Most of the skills that their units had were the skills that can be activated or aren't active at the start of the game. These type of units are basically invisible. It is possible to get a hit or two on them but that is mainly it. Post some of the hackers you have encountered and/or the ones to look out for. Thankfully there is no punishment in online battles but it is very annoying to see someone just hack there way through battles. Here's some pictures of Fates Hackers that I found on the internet. Thank you!
  3. Back when fates first released, I was super excited to hear that wifi battles were finally making a return from Shadow Dragon. They might be a bit janky, but I love this kind of stuff. Well, one thing turned to another, and I didn't really get a chance to try it out. Now that the game's been out a few years (and presumably the meta has settled), I'm really curious to hear what's really considered meta. Stuff like team compositions, skill builds, weapons, all that juicy stuff. For that matter, is online really a thriving thing at this point? I'm kinda surprised not to see much discussion on it.
  4. There's an online save editor as WIP which can already duplicate, delete and share units online with other users online. It doesn't need FEAST and duplicating units doesn't wipe out your convoy.
  5. I was battling online earlier tonight with a new - and first - team I had built, and right away started taking notes on what could be improved. When I was looking over Xander's set, I ran into a conflict between Skills... The set: Hero!Xander Skills: Wary Fighter / Swordfaire / Trample / Aggressor / Luna Stat Caps: Str 34 / Mag x / Skl 34 / Spd 31 / Lck 33 / Def 31 (+4) / Res 25 The problem: The set actually packs quite a punch, but my problem comes in when my highest hit rate was from Siegfried at around 84% on average. I do want to correct this by replacing a Skill with Certain Blow, but I'm not sure what to replace. I could replace Luna, except the whole point of the build is to be a Str/Skl-based psychically defensive wallbreaker; Luna, while it only procs 34% of the time, is still excellent for those build types. I could replace Swordfaire or Trample (more likely to be Swordfaire for consistency's sake), except then I'm ditching a more consistent option when compared to Luna. Lastly, given the nature of the set, Aggressor should probably stay, and Wary Fighter also needs to stay unless I have a death wish with Xander's low 31 Spd stat.
  6. I am looking for experienced players to play Splatoon Ranked Battles online. I am an A- rank so I'll mostly be looking for people B+ to A+, but if you have skill and know how to work together than I will definitely make exceptions. If you want to play, PM me or kik me @keensimpson03

Did my first PvP battle today. Got gangbanged by a bunch of flying chickens. Is this common?
  8. How would people feel about if there is enough interest and discussion. Piggybacking off Icy Toasts thread here If we were to set up tournaments or like a semi competitive metagame around this concept? Like we usually make a meta around the LTC aspects, but how about this as well? Thoughts?
  9. I have never once seen a forum on this, but I'm trying to get into online matches in Fire Emblem Fates (Yes, I know about all the bullsh*t hacking and what not, so please don't just post that). Aside from obvious OP skills and weapons: 1) What classes are particularly good online? 2) Is diversity in a team of 5 important? 3) What would be some good teams? (Just list classes and not actual units please)
  10. So I've been having this problem for about a week now. There is one particular friend's castle that I've been trying to get to. However, I've been getting a persistent "try again tomorrow" message. This happens to a few different people I've gotten the calling cards of, and some who I haven't. Trying to find a fix for this, I went online and found this person who had a similar issue: http://techforums.nintendo.com/message/207232#207232 I found that my clock was off, both time wise and date wise, so i fixed both two days ago. I've been able to visit other castles that I visited before, but still not this particular friend (plus a few others). I was just wondering if anyone else has been having this issue, of only being able to revisit some people but not others even though more than 24 hours have passed. Oh, and for reference sake I'm on a physical copy of Conquest on a 3ds XL. I think it MIGHT have something to with their castles being not updated, but I would like confirmation if possible. (also apologies if this thread exists elsewhere, I didn't see it when i looked)
  11. Me and my friend have decided to see how we could break Fates metagame, because all characters can get almost any skill through streetpass tutoring(children characters can get every non dlc skill in game i believe). So this is what we have come up with so far: Galeforce Copycat Puppet Warp Household Cure Breaking Sky Galeforce-after killing, move again Copycat Puppet-you split your unit, basically meaning you attack twice per turn until you die Warp-you can teleport and move again to any ally on the map(if you kill an enemy after warping, galeforce procs and you can move again) Household Cure-if you survive an attack, you can move than use elixir to heal then attack again Breaking Sky-skillx3/2 to add half of enemies Str/Mag to your attack(most 20/20 units have about a 30-50% activation rate for this) some strats for this skill set Warp>Heal Heal>Kill enemy>Galeforce>Warp>Staff Kill enemy>Galeforce>Staff clone Warps unit>9 units Warp in Kill enemy>Galeforce>Warp you have 4 inventory slots for weapons/staff because of elixir but anything else is customizable and only females can get warp, others need to find another skill any ideas for improvement or comments?
  12. Hey guys, I'm looking for some members to join a small, dedicated guild in ESO on the PC. We're looking for people wanting to PvE or PvP together and just have a good time! If you're at all interested just shoot me a message or reply here and I'll message you.
  13. I just ordered a copy of FE:If (Hosido), and should be getting it within a few days. I was a big fan of online battles back with Shadow Dragon, and I'm hoping to jump right into preparing a competitive team. Keeping in mind that I'll only have Hosido access, I'm very curious to hear what classes/characters/skills/weapons are recommended for online play. As a side note, I'm thinking of making my Avatar a magic class. Is there any suggestions for what magic classes work well online?
  14. HELLO SERENES FOREST! TacticsEmblem here to give you guys an introduction to a project I have been working on all summer. Dungeons & Emblems is a multiplayer Fire Emblem I crafted in Excel and Google Sheets. It has been no easy task, but I finally wrote enough information to actually play the game! New features are often being added, so expect expansion packs. Here are some of the features in this game so far: 56 jobs, each with three ranks, distributed between 7 classes: Soldier, Mercenary, Occultist, Mystic, Outlaw, Performer, and Noble. 7 types of physical arms: Sword, Lance, Axe, Bow, Knife, and new Caestus and Staff (for healers to bonk their enemies with). 8 types of magic spells: Staff, Fire, Wind, Water, Thunder, Light, Darkness, and Geomancy. 2 types of performance: Song and Dance Many Heavy Armors, Light Armors, Shields, Boots, and Accessories 20 personality types, each offering a unique set of bonuses for support units 175 Skills 17 status ailments, more ways to inflict them, and RNG rolls to do so Neat experience table 50 levels of character growth Features coming soon (once I recover the info from my HDD): Monsters, some actually original, most borrowed from myth, legend, literature, and other games. An original world map Some mostly original characters 2 types of crafting, Alchemy and Enchantment 4 types of summon spells: Necromancy, Demonology, Hagiology, and Animation Changes and Omissions (based on features found in GBA and GC versions of Fire Emblem): No character constitution or weight, and therefore no rescuing or shoving No biorhythm No Laguz Magic stat renamed to Intelligence, Skill stat renamed to Dexterity, Resistance shortened to Resist Items like Vulnerary can be used on units, rather than used BY them (think Final Fantasy Tactics) Spell tomes don't degrade if they miss. Difference in experience award between mere survival/missing and avoiding, and between killing and one-hit killing Physical damage weapons with elemental attributes That's all I can think of right now. I'm interested in questions, comments, and concerns anyone might have about this project. I have been working pretty hard on it, and it's still being tested and developed, so any volunteers would be appreciated. I'll post some files later, maybe in an hour so hang tight.
  15. This game has the best MMO experience out of any game I've ever played before. The servers rarely ever lag and the combat system was really well put together. Skills are extraordinarily useful and items never cease to surprise me.
  16. It just started at 9 th July 2014 I am posting this since some people like to get early user id in the games :D The game is 100% free (no donation, no premium etc.) PokemonPets home page : http://www.pokemonpets.com/ Pokemon Pets register page : http://www.pokemonpets.com/Register PokemonPets gameplay screenshots page: http://www.pokemonpets.com/Screenshots 2 Screenshots :
  17. It is like Pokemon guys. You start game with picking up your overworld avatar and your starting monster. Then you can move on the map with using arrow keys or w,a,s,d keys. Then follow the markings on the map to navigate between maps. Also on the grass areas you can find wild monsters to battle. While battling reduce their hp and throw monster boxes to catch. You can have up to 6 monsters in your team and the future ones will be sent to your storage. Here few links for more details the game url : http://www.monstermmorpg.com/ the game register url : http://www.monstermmorpg.com/Register short tutorial : http://www.monstermmorpg.com/How-To-Play extended tutorial video : cons and pros cons : laggy movement, bad ui, the site interface need revamp, not complete yet, no music, very little graphical effects, it is very confusing at the beginning, no in game tutorial (step the step ones that is common in nowadays) pros : very detailed game mechanics, cheat free (yes extreme precautions), 1801 unique monsters (some of them bad and some of them are very good quality), 520 maps (massive area to explore well defined), pvp battles, trade/buy/sell Here few of the new monsters they added/updated
  18. Sad but true. May 20th of this year, we will lose the ability to play some quite amazing games online. This also includes the only 2 Fire Emblems with competitive multiplayer(FE11 and FE12). This is not Nintendo's fault. Nintendo outsourced server management to GameSpy for the Wii and NDS. GameSpy was recently purchased by a company and they don't seem to care about anything other than mobile gaming, so all of the old GameSpy servers are being shut down. But this doesn't have to be the end. Nintendo consoles have all been emulated, with the exception of the current gen(and we'll get there). If you look for NES games, or SNES games, you'll find that fans have painstakingly preserved these experiences so that they can be enjoyed far into the future. So, why don't we do the same thing with Nintendo WFC But how do you propose we do this? It's not going to be easy. I don't even know if we'll be able to write servers for every game in time. What we need to do is make sure that as much data is collected about each of the multiplayer games that are going offline as possible. There is an effort being lead by an emulator developer named ToadKing to reverse engineer each game and collect as much data as possible to do this. But how can I help? 1. Use the guides on ToadKing's website to capture packets of as many use-cases of online in any game that is going offline and send it to ToadKing. 2. Anyone with network protocol experience would be invaluable in extracting data and figuring out the encodings of data 3. Any information you can find relevant to the multiplayer. Most multiplayer games use Nintendo WFC's servers to find a match, and then from there everything is Peer2Peer. Please spread the word! May 20th is a few months away, but it'll be here before we know it
  19. Kid Icarus Uprising is a pretty popular 3DS game. While opinions on the game vary highly (especially on the note of controls), I'm sure most of us who like it can agree the vast amount of resources to use and the fast, on rails action are a blast. And the multiplayer is pretty popular to, which is why this thread exists! Here is a place for you to meet and challenge fellow players, organize tournaments and special battles, and seek out new opponents to sate your blood lust! So without further adieu, go out, battle, and have fun! CHALLENGERS BULLETIN: [spoiler=Rules/Introduction]Have no particular foe or challenge in mind, but would just like to battle? Then take your pick from the Challenger's Bulletin! Here is a list off all foes similarly just looking for a fight! Upon finding an opponent who you'd like to fight, simply ask them either in this thread, a PM, or some other convenient, non-disruptive means to battle, set up and have at it! To be put on the Challenger's Bulletin, simply make a post here or send me a PM requesting to be on and include times you should be available! Giving your Friend Code is not required to be put on*. If you ever wish to edit information on the Challenger's Bulletin, then simply do the same thing as you did to get on with the desire changed included. Should you decide you want to be taken off the Challenger's Bulletin, simply make a post here or send me a PM requesting to be put on. *- Note, if you do submit your Friend Code it will be put next to your name on the Bulletin unless otherwise is requested. 20. Talk! Discuss! Compare! 15 year iRO player (yea, I'm a Beater from beta iRO). 2 years as an Assassin and the rest as either FS-Tank PVE/MVP Priest (up to current Arch Bishop), and Taekwon Boy (for Ranking) pretty much sum up my entire existence.
