  1. I played through the game this past summer for the first time and one thing I walked away with was the feeling that the stat caps, especially on certain classes, seemed a bit too low. I know exactly why, this game is probably the longest in the series so you get more levels to compensate, and you typically don't get an extra 20 levels to grow in these games, but it seemed like my characters capped too easily and quickly. I never gave Titania a single stat booster yet by maybe the middle of Part 4 at the absolute latest she was getting empty levels due to there being no more stats she had a good growth in that wasn't already capped. My Nephenee had a similar problem, but I admit I gave her a few stat boosters and a strength, skill and speed transfer. This all wouldn't be that bad if the caps weren't so low on classes like Silver/Gold Knight and Archsage, where it seems like at peak performance they will still only match the enemies in the higher levels in the tower, Archsages especially have it bad due to there being so many enemies and bosses in the tower with high resistance, which in general also seems strangely high in this game specifically. Enemies get so fast that mages and paladins can't double in many instances, and so bulky that they might need at least 3 hits to kill. It just really seems like enemy stats are inflated to quite a high degree for this game. This is a small thing that doesn't really matter much, but it's also just kind of weird when you haven't even reached Endgame yet but your units aren't really getting much better anymore, just doesn't feel good. In a typical game, it feels really nice when you get a really meaty level right at the end of the penultimate chapter, but that doesn't really happen in RD.
  2. Hello everyone, some days ago an small article I wrote was finally published in Source Gaming. This article is about "How would work Micaiah in Smash Bros?". You can read it here: http://sourcegaming.info/2016/12/22/ds-micaiah/ What do you think? Do you like it? Do you have a question about the moveset or my reasons to write this article?
  3. Hey everyone! As much as I hate to, I'm selling my home consoles and games as I prepare for an apartment and a lifestyle of moving between two countries fairly often. I'm able to keep my handhelds just fine, but my consoles would be too much of a pain to move and use in the PAL region (as mine are NTSC). So! You guys luck out, because I have the following FE games for sale: Fire Emblem (Famicom) Gaiden (Famicom, has okay box & manual) Gaiden (English reproduction cart that works on NA NES) Mystery of the Emblem (Super Famicom, back plate is very yellow) Mystery of the Emblem (English reproduction cart that works on NA SNES) Genealogy (Complete in box, with manual and bloodline chart, very nice) Thracia 776 (Super Famicom, complete in box. Manual and cart are very nice, while box is decent) Thracia 776 (English reproduction cart that works on NA SNES; translation is iffy but playable. OK condition) Path of Radiance (Gamecube, complete in box - disc is great) Sold! Radiant Dawn (Wii, complete in box - disc is good but has been resurfaced, plays great) You'll notice that I haven't listed prices - I know that these games (especially the last two) can be quite pricey. I know what everything is worth, but I will listen to any and all offers as long as it is decent. It would make me much happier to see them go to a loving FE home, than have to sell them on E-bay. I don't have to pay E-bay fees if I sell them on Serenes, which I definitely have in mind. Although not FE, I also have for sale: NES console with all the works (has great pins and two controllers) Legend of Zelda (Gold cart) Zelda II (gray cart, has manual) City Connection Kid Icarus Little Nemo the Dream Master Crystalis SNES Console with all the works (clean pins and one controller) Earthbound A Link to the Past (has manual) sold! Terranigma reproduction cart (in great shape, has a custom cardboard box, plays on NTSC) Dracula XX (Super Famicom, compete in box - game and manual are very very nice, box is pretty good) White Wii Console with all the works (Has gamecube ports, black wiimotion plus wiimote with nunchuck) Okami (disc is in great shape) I also have a first print Game Boy Pocket, that doesn't have a battery light (first prints didn't have them) but is in great shape and works great! Also for sale is a Roy amiibo - I have an extra that's still in the package PLEASE NOTE: Most of the NES/SNES games come with universal game cases with custom covers. Just ask! They were owned with a collector's mindset and are in great shape unless otherwise noted. When you inquire, I would be happy to give a description and give photos. Again, just ask! Thanks for looking guys! It breaks my heart to sell any of it, but it's something that works best for me right now and I really want to see it go to a good home. I'll listen to any offers, and I also love Cipher cards! ;p (speaking of cipher cards, I have a pretty good reputation for trades and things there, and I take customer satisfaction very seriously)

    RD Edits dump

I did this for a non-FE related project of mine ( I make RPGs as a hobby ). Used to hack RD until I got bored. No, she is in NO way related to Ike. -_- Ellie+Laura obviously. I always thought Tibarn would make a cool Pirate/Berserker. I wouldn't really consider Mia/recoloured Lucy edits though. But since they form the basis/Expies for some of the characters in my game, why not. Will probably post the emotion-sets later on. Said project can be found at an off-site link over here. http://rpgmaker.net/games/5537/ Maybe I'll make a topic for it. Since it is FE-inspired.

  6. So I was talking with a friend the other day and I mentioned Petrine from PoR and by some chance I also looked at an image of Renning right after and I noticed something. They've got the same exact hair and eye color. Giving it a little bit more thought I also realized they share the same class. Now there's not a whole lot of information out on either of these characters save for one is branded and has a hatred of Laguz and the other was part of the royal family. Petrine is fighting with Daein and has a lance specialization while Renning is with Crimea and has a Sword specialization. Lances beat swords according to the weapon triangle. Renning for some reason was also sparred and was warped and twisted into a weapon for reasons unknown. I don't know if I'm pulling at strings but does anyone think there's more to these two than once thought or at least there there may be more going on?
