  1. Before we begin, I sincerely hope this is the right sub-forum to post this thread in. I wasn't sure where to put this text, so I'll try to post it here. If there is a better place to put this, please tell me. With that said, I've spent my free time these last months arranging the Fire Emblem 1 soundtrack with sounds from the GBA iterations of Fire Emblem. I've been uploading my music to YouTube but it's quite difficult for a new content creator to overwin the algorithms and find their audience, so I'm just leaving this here for those who would be interested to drop by and have a listen. The arrangements are not made for insertion into rom hacks, but are simply made for fun in an attempt to enhance the original soundtrack with better samples while still feeling nostalgic. If you're interested and decide to drop by, feel free to show your support by dropping a few likes or comments on my videos. That would really help out in reaching out to interested people and making it easier for them to stumble upon my arrangements. And feel free to subscribe if you're interested in future projects I've planned to create. I consider my work to be completely free to use by anyone in their own creative works; my only humble wish is to be credited if possible and also sending me a link to their finished work as I'm genuinely interested to see the fun things you can come up with. Finally, if you've got feedback, questions or comments of any kind, please post them right here or over in the comment sections on my videos. I welcome all respectful communication. I will be out-of-town for a few days after posting this, but I'll be sure to respond as soon as I get back home again. Thank you for reading and sticking with me. Without further ado, here is the link to the YouTube playlist. Enjoy! https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLbd_a-jOdW-oDNTKRu7Vy4IPu48xihVgm
  2. Pardon my tardiness, but as I was listening to Fire Emblem Awakening's soundtrack, I noticed a little bit of a leitmotif (?) in some of the soundtracks. Examples like Id Serenity, Id Purpose, Id Hope, Id Dilemma and Id Sorrow all have small pieces of melody shared between them. I happened to listen to the Fates soundtracks the other day, and I also noticed something similar, that many of the key soundtracks have leitmotifs from the line "You are the Ocean's Grey Waves" in Lost in Thoughts All Alone. Off the top of my head I can only list End of All as a soundtrack that definitely has the leitmotif but I'd like to know, is this a recurring thing in Fire Emblem? I'm listening through the Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn soundtrack rips right now and it's going to take a while to spot anything common so I thought I'd get the discussion started.
  3. There is really not much to say at the moment, except expect one track every week. This week there will be much progress, but do not expect it to go on this pace. Preview of latest track:
  4. I make FE music arrangements and just wanted to share what I've got with you all. New songs will be added as they come, and I hope you enjoy. Feedback and requests are welcome! [FE16] Trailer Theme (No SFX) [FE7] Reminiscence - Ninian and Nils' Theme (Cinematic Orchestral Arrangement) [FE7] Winds Across the Plains - Lyn Map BGM (Relaxing Orchestra Arrangement)
  5. So the port theme now has lyrics. It's really nice to listen to.
  6. I started a project not too long ago that I thought people would be interested in. I've mashed together all of the old and new versions of the Gaiden soundtrack and I plan going through the rest of the series' music to create as many mashups as possible. Here is the final map theme: And the rest of the playlist if you are interested: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL-RZL5fzjZMBjT6bsXWVSpvSTMj63aJv2
  7. So after listening to SOV soundtracks various times I've realized that all the lyrics are probably in Latin, and I really want to know what the translations are (and what the original lyrics, in Latin, are too). Does anybody know of any undertakings regarding the transcribing and translating of the lyrics of these songs, assuming (I hope), they're not just random gibberish? I don't know any Latin so I can't make anything of it.
  8. If anyone can tell me the name of this song, I'd really appreciate because it sounds so good and I just can't find out the name of it. Here is the video that plays it: P.S. The song plays at 7:38
  9. Hello. I was wondering if anyone knew of a download link for the Fire Emblem Fates/IF Soundtrack that released on the 27th. If you would please link it below, It would be much appreciated. Thank you.
  10. Wherever I look I can only find the calm and ablaze versions of each map themes fused together, I can't seem to find many map themes with the ablaze version on its own and its really frustrating. What I'm asking is does anyone know where to find the ablaze versions of the map themes that are not fused together with their calm/regular versions?
  11. My favorite soundtrack is New Mystery's, with my favorite tracks being Liberation, One Who Carves a new History and Endless Battle
  12. I've recently found a love for film and game music, and was wondering what games everyone thought had particularly exceptional soundtracks.
  13. I can't find the soundtrack that plays at 15:51 in this video. I also can't find the soundtrack that plays when Greil fights the Black Knight. What a disappointment, those are soundtracks I really enjoyed.
  14. Sort of self explanatory. What songs do you like most, out of each type? I'll give my opinion and a template. [spoiler=mine] Recruitment Theme: FE8's "Comrades". Map Theme: From FE10's "Dark Traveler" to FE8's "Companions", "Precious Things", and "Inescapable Fate" to FE9's " Change of Scenery" and "Greil Mercenaries" to FE13's "Conquest". I like 'em all. Preparations Theme: FE8's "Preparing to Advance" Battle Theme: FE9's "Decisive Attack". I also like FE8's "Attack". Arena Theme: FE8's "In the Colosseum" Final Map Theme: FE13's "ID Purpose" Enemy Phase: FE8's "Defense" and FE13's "Annihilation" are both good. Event Music: Not sure. Recruitment Theme: Map Theme: Preparations Theme: Battle Theme: Arena Theme: Final Map Theme: Enemy Phase: Event Music: Boss Theme: (If you want.)
