  1. I recently watched a Lets Play of Hector Hard Mode where the player lamented that effective weapons suck in this game. I decided to see if anyone had made a patch to fix this and other gameplay changes made to the U.S. version of the game, and to my surprise, no one had! So I did it myself. This patch is meant to be applied to the U.S. version of the game. I used febuilder and Event Assembler to make this hack. I'd also like to thank Venno, as I used his FE7 Effectiveness Rework assembly hack to change the effective weapon multipliers (found here). (If I need to seek permission to use it, please let me know and I'll take this down until I have obtained permission.) This hack has only received minimal testing, but the alterations were mostly simple ones, so it should work alright. If you find any bugs or differences that haven't been corrected, though, please let me know. UPDATE: I have just completed version 1.1 of this hack. The only change made was slightly altering the inventories of four enemies whose items were slightly different in the Japanese version. This will most likely be my last and only revision. Version 1.1 is available here. Here is a list of things that have been changed in this hack: What Has Been Changed The "Gate" and "Throne" terrain types grant 30 Avoid instead of 20. (The "Castle Gate" terrain type still only grants 20 Avoid--it was like this in the Japanese version.) The "Gate," "Castle Gate," and "Throne" terrain types grant 3 Defense instead of 2. The effective damage multiplier was raised from 2 to 3 for Aureola and all non dragon-slaying weapons. Bosses that had their stats reduced in the U.S. version of the game have had them restored to their Japanese stats. In Chapter 27: Cog of Destiny, Lloyd and Linus each carry a Runesword rather than a Light Brand. In the first part of Final Chapter: Light, two doors open at the start of the map, after which two doors open every two turns. (By contrast, the U.S. version starts with one door open, and one door opens each turn.) The Fire Dragon's max stats have been increased (even though they don't hit those caps). Some enemies have had their inventories tweaked to match the Japanese version. (There were only four of these.) What Hasn't Been Changed: The "Blood Type" option is still absent from the Tactician creation screen. I'm not a good enough hacker to put it in, and since it only alters Affinity as far as I can tell, there is no significant gameplay change. Correct me if I'm wrong on this. Lyn mode cannot be skipped, and the extended epilogue plays by default. None of the text has been changed. This means translation errors and the glitchy text on the Wind Sword and Dragon Axe is still present. Old versions: Version 1.0
  2. What is the most efficient way to complete the support log in fe7? I’m just talking the set of 3 chapters that allows for the easiest support grinding, even if you can’t get every support then (For example, I know I’m gonna have to replay the final three chapters specifically a million times for Renault and Karla’s supports). Or other than that, those of you who have completed the support log, how did you do it? Thanks in advance!

  4. Hi, I wanted to talk about challenge runs, but any of them in any FE game. I had the idea of GBA/3DS FE without using supply and trading only during the chapters (no battle prep trading), maybe even no armory in battle preps (completely skip prep), maybe no supports along that (I never really used supports in FE and never needed them so far before FE 13 and the pair up mechanic showed up, only to buff Colm/Neimi and sometimes Eirika, most of the time I didn't even click "support"). I think a run with the weakest available (repairable/buyable) weapons would be funny depending on the game (well that's basically how I play FE8 most of the time ^^ with iron, fire, light and flux except for endgame bosses with high def/res and hp who hit like a crashing plane in your face with 120-150 accuracy ouch). Swapping roles (physical units with magic and magical weapons, magical unit with physical weapons). No mobility (playing with 4 movement on everyone like you have an army of knights). No 1-2 range weapon (or use it like you use a 1 range or 2 range, no javelin/throwing axe ennemy phase army). Swords/Bows/Magic only run (Laguz/shapeshifters only run with only the necessary non shapeshifter stuff like Ike to defeat Burger King's terrible plan to raise obesity in the whole world, and you play some Amazonian tribe resisting the empire of Burger King and its' fat church leaders wth their panther transformation XD). Only the less accurate weapons run. Devil axe run (might need to hack an unbreakable devil axe though). This would be a hardcore Nuzlock challenge. Only poison weapons. Only effective weapons. Only the lowest level units available, maintain an average level (lol you can't even promote then). Only lowest speed/luck/strength/def/res/mag/hp...units. (funny to see a team of Arthur-like units get (nuz)locked out of the PT by a random crit: "Hi Knoll how's it goin'?" "Got crit killed by the first ennemy I fought, I should have instantly promoted to summoner and spam summons till I hit 20..." "Sad story bro, see you in the next PMU since no one plays you without farming"). Your ideas?
  5. Hi there! So, I finally was able to make an op blazing blade hack! Changes: Maxed out stats and op weapons from the start bosses are upgraded with stats, stronger weapons, and some hold sacred weapons, which is sometimes quite a pain Some class changes, such as ninian(ninian's palette looks good on her new class surprisingly) and nils Excepting ninian, nils, lords, and some others, all ally characters are base class(can't have it too easy) vulneraries and elixirs with 30 uses rienfleche has 2-3 range now Douglas is an npc, not an enemy(playtested 25 times and he kept dying by attacking the boss or an ally) chests have sacred weapons,so get to them quickly some characters carry promoting items Easy as walking through a field of lv1 fighters with a maxed out swordmaster Things to work out: small glitch involving the accidental recruitment of numerous Douglases(almost worked out) finding a way to make the fire dragon a harder boss; it's almost always a OHK with a lord character and a crit weird glitch where promoting a character can give them multiple S ranks in weapons. The first weapon you attack with after promoting is demoted to A-rank, until only 1 S-rank remains. (e.g. Promote florina, then have her attack with a sword to keep S-rank in lances) Here's the patch:Improved OP Blazing Blade.ups Have fun :D
  6. I had a crazy headcanon the other day and wanted to see what SF thought about it. Occasionally, I find myself wondering what the other side of the Dragon's Gate looks like. We never actually get to see the other side of it. BUT there is one other location in the series that we know of called the Dragon's Gate: The one in Fateslandia. What if Fates is set in the future on the other side of Elibe's Dragon's Gate. We do know that both Dragons and Humans lived past the Dragon's Gate which matches up with Fates' world. The Dragon's Gate exists in both Elibe and Fateslandia, and Fateslandia - as far as we know - lacks any other ties to other places (save for dimensional travel). Does anyone have any opinions on this? Thoughts they could add to this? This possibility blew my mind when I thought of it, even if it is just strung together by a few coincidences. I really wasn't sure which section to put this in, but figured I'd put it here given that there are two distinct Elibean games to pull from vs Fate's three variations.

  8. (This is for those who have finished or are doing a randomized run of Fe7) This is the first forum I started, so it might be kind of rough, but stick with me. So anyways, the way you do the logs is you say the chapter your on (please State if your on Hector or Eliwood mode. It might get kinda confusing other wise), the units your using and there classes and growth rates. For the units your not using, State there class and why your not using them wether it be you just dislike them, they have a bad growth rate, or something else. I'll do a log of my progress as an example: Current Chapter: Chapter 3 Units I'm using: Lyn (Mage): Growth rates are 10% Hp, 80% mag, 30% skl, 90% spd, 115% luck, 5% def and res Kent (Hector Lord): Growth rates are 65% Hp, 75% str, 40% skl, 30% spd, 10% luck, 70% def,5% res Sain (Thief): Growths are 5% hp, 60% str, 45% skl, 20% spd, 100% luck, 30% def, 35% res Florina (Dancer): Growths are 75% hp, 5% str/mag, 20% skl, 80% spd, 20% luck, 45% def, 65% res Units I'm not using: Wil: Everyone of his growths except spd, def and res are 15% and under Dorcas: Has a 5% in every growth rate except for str, skl, spd, and luck.

I'm hoping to do a ton more of these fics down the road with different crack pairs, but went with my fave Heroes crack pairing first because I wanted to start off strong. Would love to hear any feedback on content, writing style, etc., or any other thoughts that y'all have. It's been ages since I've done any actual fanfiction so the help would be much appreciated.   11. Hi there! My name is AMH9000 and I have created a mod for Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade. Changes were made only to character's starting stats and their growths. Some were drastic (compared to the other changes), others were small, and most of them probably changed nothing. I attempted to change the levels of some characters but it never wanted to work no matter how hard I tried. :( I guess some of you want to know what the big changes were, so I'll put 'em in a spoiler, but there's only 3 I can think of as "big" changes. Now for the part that'll probably send about 80% of you away... I only worked on the Lyn's Story characters so the only things that are different in this patch happen in Lyn's 10 chapter story. sucks, I know, but this is my first Fire Emblem patch ever and I worked "hard" on it. It took me about 4 hours to make this so... I'm slightly proud of me. So, to the 4% of you that clicked on this thread that aren't considering leaving down a hate comment, have fun. As for the 16%... try first, and then leave down a hate comment if you REALLY want to.
  12. Back at it again with hot content nobody cares about, I went and compiled a complete chart of the affinity yields of every possible birth month/blood type combination in FE7. And yeah, there's exactly one combination out of the possible 48 that actually yields Darkness. It's up to you if you actually wanna put this on the site or not, but uh, here it is, if you decide to.

I recently saw someone play Fire Emblem 6 and I saw Sages have animations for Dark and Light magic.I'm currently working on a Fire Emblem 7 ROM and I want to give Sages animations with Light and Dark animations in addition to their Anima animation. Does anyone know how I can do that or is their a code I can use to give Sages the animations for Light and Dark Magic
  14. So, I am doing a challenge run in FE7 (Blazing Blade). I am only allowed to use the following characters: Pricilla, Wallace, Jaffar, Oswin, Guy, Kent, Nino, Harken, Renault, Lowen, Serra, Raven, Pent, Ninian/Neils, Florina, Hector. I am in chapter 17 at the moment with 2 secret books 1 goddess icon and 1 Dragonshield, any tips in who to use each item? (PS: sorry for Grammar mistakes, english is not my primary language xD)
