  1. I remember trying a long time ago but I can't seem to get it correctly now. I go to FEditor -> Click Spell Animation Inserter -> Load From Script -> Press Quit -> Press Save. I then check but nothing shows up, just the same hand axe animation. Oops I was pressing the wrong button. Hee-hee I figured it out. (Press Terminate and not Quit)
  2. I know I just uploaded, but I really need help with this. I think I did everything right for my custom battle animation, but for some reason, it keeps saying error. Here's my script and animation. Is there something I'm missing? Okay, so, I've been hacking for a pretty long time, but I've only done minor stuff (to fire emblem atleast) and I've found a lot of amazing custom animations I'd like to try adding to my game, and while I've read the tutorials and understand how, my current problem is that I want to start with a pre-hacked base rom, specifically: http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=58795 why, because this hack fixes every problem I had with fire emblem 8. What I'd like to do is add some custom animations to add some new weapons to specific classes to make the game a bit more challenging.(I'd be giving the enemy these new weapons also) My problem is however that I tried opening the rom in Feditor and it wouldnt let me access the animations at all, but I opened a clean rom of FE8, and it did allow me. So my main question is: is there a way for me to add the animations to this hack, or is there no way for me to do so. If you need more information I'm happy to provide it.
  4. Hi there, as you might remember i said i would make an Idoun and a Fomortis for FE7. Here is the deal, when i just finished pasting Idouns head on her Body, and tried to make a test in Feditor, i get an error: "IllegalArgumentException That image uses too many tiles!" Is there anyway to boost Feditor for bigger images? The version i am using is 20110104.1, and another thing, is there a way to bypass the OAM overflow??. Thanks, and thats that, Idoun is a as big as in FE7, i know perfectly that she uses background, but im triying to make one for FEDITOR and to be portable. And i think there will be the same issue with Fomortis
  5. So, I changed Amelia's Recruit promotions to Soldier and Female Mercenary, just for shiggles. I also added the Female Mercenary custom animation to the appropriate class through FEditor. When I go to promote Amelia, the screen goes black. Did I do something wrong, or is FEditor being funny with me? Yet another question: How do I create a custom class in FE8? I want to have the Halberdier available as a promotion for the soldier class, but I can't figure out how to make the class and put it into the game's files.
  6. All right. I have a bit of a problem to deal with. Basically I imported the animations of a female Hero from FE6 to FE8 and the animations worked fine. Next, I changed the female Mercenary's promotion path into just the female Hero via the Promotion Branch Editor module. And again, it worked fine. However, the issue comes into play when I branched the promotion paths of the female Mercenary; to the standard options of female Ranger and female Hero. When I tried to promote the class, the game stalls at a black screen as it gets to the choosing part.The music continues to play but the game itself freezes. I tested again, but with the male Hero as an option instead of the female one, and it worked. Finally, I tested it with another class with a custom animation and the game freezes once again. I figured out that it was the custom animations that was causing the problem, but I just can't get a solution for it. (The indices of the imported and custom animations are CA and beyond fyi so does it have to do something with it?) I'm a complete n00b when it comes to hex editing but does it have to do something with it? Sorry if this is long-winded but I tried to give as much detail as I could. Do I have to resort to single-path promotions with custom animations or is there a way to have branched promotions with them?
  7. I think something is wrong with my script, the frames are fine, but it wont load it, if someone could give me 5 minutes of their time to help that would be great.
