  1. Maybe some users now Yume Nikki from 2003. A game which is not really known, but has it's small fan base which also reached outside of japan. The last days as a fan I was pretty happy to hear that we will be introduced to the new work of Kikiyama as you can see on this side. https://promo.kadokawa.co.jp/gamecountdown/ Yume Nikki came also out on steam a few days ago, the publisher is also proof that this is about the true work and not just a fan game. http://store.steampowered.com/app/650700/Yume_Nikki/ Yume Nikki is about the Girl which is called Madotsuki (fan made name). I don't know if it will be her true name. In this game she refuses to go outside, so the only thing you can do is play a game or go dreaming. If you go dreaming which this game is about, you get into a nexus from which you can visit many strange places from her dream world. So it's like a lucid dream you can explore and get effects, like turning into a walking ample which can stop anything. As there is no dialog in this game, the game leaves all about Madotsuki's to the imagination of the player. Some people might find Yume Nikki boring, because the original is all about exploring a vast dream world without true hints. There is something like an end you can reach, but without any guides it will take countless time. But as a fan I sure recommend waiting for the new work an see how it will turn out. Maybe it will answer questions fans had all these years, or it does not answer anything. I'm hyped now and at least I want to introduce this game here.
  2. Evander's Tale: Chapter 1b I am a person who loves Fire Emblem and used to really want to make a hack. As it turns out, I didn't have the willpower to ever do it, but I did have the willpower to write a story about someone who did--a 15 year old kid named Evan. I've got a current blog series going on where weekly I release a "chapter" of his Fire Emblem tale. Really, each chapter is an explanation of one of a series of vivid dreams he has about his world and his plot, with his real life--sometimes unfortunately--seeping into the story. This writing is meant to mimic the experience of dreaming--in intense detail, the sort that we don't remember when we wake up--but also to complicate it, and expand it into a full-fledged fantasy tale. And also to enjoy the thrill of and poke a little fun at Fire Emblem games! The first chapter isn't super Fire Emblem-esque, but later chapters will be, I promise! References, etc. will be on there way. It would mean a lot if you guys would check it out, and of course, any feedback is welcome. I also dig collaboration and collaborative writing, so if anyone is interested in that, hit me up.
  3. So I had a dream last night... It was set in no particular chapter of FE10, probably closest to an unseen portion of Part I, but the Crimean Royal Knights were teamed with the Liberators, and Laguz enemies (including Black Dragons for whatever reason) were plenty. But that's unimportant context. The enemies were affected by "noise" so to speak. As in, they would only move from their positions around the dinner table/etc. if they heard a lot of player units. So if you had several units grouped together passing through their area, they would notice you and attack. Not only that, they would call for backup, from nearby rooms that the player could enter if they chose, a sort of mini map in a map, complete with its own chests, enemies who could also switch maps via the entrance/exit, and terrain. They would also move slightly in the PPhrase if they were not bothered, though the difference is negligible. (Attacking also got their attention btw.) Personally, I'm not sure what to think of what my subconscious cooked up. On one hand, it does add the decision "charge recklessly for fewer possible turns" or "Sneak by a few units at a time at turn count and EXP's expanse, favoring saftey from the hoards?" Not sure how the mini maps would change anything, since it is kinda similar to opening doors on GBA, but there arepotential fights on the roofs.
