  1. Warning: Before I say anything, you're probably going to have a difficult time using this if you have no experience in python, even though you don't need to code yourself. This is because this tool requires python, which you can simply download, but also requires Pandas. I use Pycharm and let it manage all my packages, but setting pycharm up or managing the packages yourself can be troublesome if you've never used it before. That's why it really helps if you already have a working Python environment with Pandas. You can ask questions, and I'll try to help, but I can't guarentee success. link This is a tool which I created mostly for myself, but I realised some other people may find enjoyment in it too. You can use it to either randomize the class (and character ranking) for Sacred Stones/Shadow Dragon/New Mystery/Awakening/Fates/Echoes/Three Houses or maximaze stat growths for kids in Genealogy/Awakening/Fates. How to do this I've explained in the readme.md, so just read it there and if it isn't clear, you can ask what I mean. If I were a better programmer (both in skill and in ethic) I would make my creation more user-friendly, by creating a gui or something, but I didn't, so now you have to install a couple of randomly strewn files from github. You need everything there except the readme (though you may want to read it), ui.py and main.py and just put it in a folder (probably an IDE project folder). From here you can follow the instructions in the readme. If you manage to make it work on you computer, I'd appreciate feedback if you encounter some mistakes. Some I know and I'm not planning to fix (You can use Gunter and Jakob both in Conquest and Revelations but they only have an A+ in Conquest), and one other I only just remembered during writing that it existed (the fates randomizer does not yet take into account child marriage), but there will probably be many I don't.
  2. Since Fire Emblem Gaiden's remake: Shadows of Valentia was released back in 2017, there have been rumors as to which Fire Emblem would be the next one to receive the Echoes treatment next. I've decided to pair up Fire Emblems that take place on the same continent since their stories, characters and setting are connected. Shadow Dragon & The Blade of Light and Mystery of the Emblem won't be included on the poll because they've technically already gotten remakes. I also won't be including any Fire Emblems from Awakening onwards since they aren't exactly in need of being remade anytime soon. My personal vote goes to the Jugdral games because: They're the oldest Fire Emblem games without a remake. Like Binding Blade and FE3, they haven't been officially released outside of Japan. I feel that the quality of life changes and upgrades could be the most beneficial to the Jugdral games compared to the others on the poll. So between Jugdral (FE4 + FE5), Elibe (FE6 + FE7), Magvel (FE8) and Tellius (FE9 + FE10), which Fire Emblem(s) would you like to see remade on the newest Nintendo system?
  3. Hello, I've been itching to play Echoes again for like... ever since it came out, to make sure it's still one of my favorite FEs or is just nostalgia, so I thought I'd try out a draft of it, if that's okay? But since it's my first one and I have not as much experience with the game, I think it should be a bit more relaxed, and well... less optimal, I guess~ But with all that said, here are the rules I've come up with~ Rules: Free Units: Alm, Celica, One Extra Unit of Your Choice Banned Units: None~ Player Count: 2-4 Players, preferably able to be talked with on platforms such as Discord and the like to share progress~ Grinding: If you can avoid it, great, but no penalty for doing so unless it actively ruins fun for the rest of us~ Mode: Classic, Hard Banned Stuff: No DLC, No Mila Turnwheel/Chapter Resets, No Invoke 'Winning' is defined simply by getting to the end, and since I tend to quit on lots of my playthroughs, I'd consider this a win personally lol~ But feel free to go for LTC or whatever, would love to learn some FE strats from you, if you'd like to help out your 'opponent' lol~ If you have any more questions, I'd be happy to answer, but as I'm new to this concept, I don't quite know how good I'll be at answering~ If you have any rules you'd like changed, feel free to inquire, and with all that said, would love to play with anyone who wants to also revisit Valentia again, peace~!
  4. Since all the Fire Emblem games in the Nintendo 3DS systems are rated T for Teen by ERSB in North America. I know that in Japan that Awakening is rated B by CERO while Fates was bumped to C by CERO and Echoes: Shadows of Valentia went back to CERO B. I'm just kinda cerious if anyone exactly knows how the CERO rating system works and what did Fates received a CERO C instead of CERO B? I know that CERO C is rated 15 and up while CERO B is rated 12 and up in Japan while we don't exactly have a ERSB rating around 15 and up between T for Teen (13 and up) and M for Mature (17 and up) in North America. Since I kinda looked at some plot stuff and content showed in Fates that pretty much did not have in Awakening nor Echoes: Shadows of Valentia that might have gotten bumped to CERO C. Would these type of stuff appeared in Fates might have bumped to CERO C?: or was it something else that might have got Fates bumped to CERO C?
  5. Fe Echoes SOV has weirdly caught my eye’s attention these past few days, since I have been craving something of an Fe based game that has different gameplay style and combat mechanics as opposed to Fates and Awakening which I have already beaten more than twice, and since I find the item finding or the quests to be a bit tedious to complete in 3H, I wanted to check out whether how good or how amazing is Echoes SOV really is in terms of combat mechanics, battle system. I have already heard that the story, music and graphics are god-like, thankfully without spoilers, which is harder to come by lol. Is it a good idea to pick up Echoes SOV alongside with the DLC packs that it offers and possibly extra amiibo features that it has included for better grinding and gold farming or is it better to just get the game by itself and then buy the DLC after I beat Echoes and the story mode of it? Some help would be super appreciated for a Fe semi-noob like me. Also by any chance does this game have any online battle modes or street pass functions or has that also been disabled as well?
  6. Hello FE Fans! I've been having a lot of fun lately hacking FE games and mostly adjusting Fates growths for some pretty fun results (Kana having 125% in all stats may have been overkill...) but I want to make a more balanced one for Echoes and release it to the public so I'll need a small bit of help. Firstly I will require two rules to start renovating this game. 1. The amount I should tamper with. Echoes can be broken just like all FE games but if I give everyone 127% (The max) in all stats, it wouldn't be that fun, would it? So I'd like to hear your thoughts on where my limits should be. I should have a set percent I can buff (50%, 100%, 150%, etc...) so I'd like your thoughts on that. 2. Should I make characters more balanced or give the same level of buff to everyone? This is the main issue I have right now. I know there's a tier list for FE: SOV so I've come up with a personal problem. Should Alm be as strong as Forsyth? And if I did only give small buffs to high tiers, what is a small buff? And what tier list would I even use? This issue has been driving me nuts and I'd like to know if the imbalance should stay or if I should give higher buffs to low tiers. Yeah that's all I got for now. Depending on feedback time, the patch should come out in two to five days. I hope I can make this game something fun and maybe have this be a series where I'll update and balance my old personal hacks on FE6, FE7, FE8, Awakening, and Fates. But yeah I hope to hear from you all with what you may want from a buff patch to FE15. Thanks and good day to you all!
  7. Figured I'd repost this here as I saw the Shadows of Valentia Forum was looking pretty dead and this one seems like it will help me out more. If this is against the Serene Forest rules, I'm sorry (I'm new if that means anything), and I hope you can forgive me. Here's the original post I made. Hello FE Fans! 8. Does anyone got all three in less than 100 hours? Been playing my file for more than 90 and haven’t got even one... have had farmed inner sanctum for a long time and Thabes and still nothing. On Thabes I usually get a few rusted weapons but they are normally venim weapons. Do you have any tips?
  9. Since starting Fire Emblem: Three Houses, I've been noticing small details ranging from gameplay to presentation from the 3DS games at least that were either retained or absent in this one. Some of the exclusions were understandable, while others were less so. One of the things I observed was that characters in Three Houses tended to speak less in battle when compared to the 3DS games. I can think of a few reasons for why this may be the case, although I am curious if other's share a similar opinion and/or if I simply haven't encountered many situations where the units do speak up in battle. Now, in Shadows of Valentia may have the most chatty Fire Emblem cast that doesn't include written dialogue. They comment on enemies missing, failing to hit themselves, their allies doing well or needing healing, and there are a number of unique quotes between units that were close to each other, such as Forsyth and Python, Mae and Boey, Luthier and Delthea, and so on. I wouldn't be surprised if the increased battle quotes were a way of compensating for the lower quantity of support conversations in Echoes, as well as how not every character would be active in the story after a certain point. In contrast, characters in Three Houses speak up a lot more in both the story and in side conversations such as during exploration, support conversations, group activities, and so on. Players can still get an idea of what characters are like even if they are outside of their class. Because of this, perhaps the developers though that having units talk a lot in battle would be redundant or unnecessary, and/or that there was enough dialogue in this game and they didn't want to risk going over-budget with the voice acting (which may or may not have been a reason why the support conversations in Echoes were so short. There are several potential explanations for that). From a different angle, while the characters may not have commented upon the enemy or themselves missing an attack, Awakening and Fates did have the pair-up system. This allowed units to say something before the battle, when defending their ally or attacking in a dual strike, and characters had a different set of quotes if their partner defeated the enemy. Meanwhile, the adjutant system in Three Houses rarely activates and I'm not certain if there even is any unique quotes for when it does occur. It is small, but it does result in there being less potential things for units to say, which becomes more noticeable when making comparisons. With that said, I am still on my first playthrough of Three Houses, and while there are several things about the game I can say for certain that I like or don't like, I am largely taking a "wait-and-see" approach towards the game. I don't know all the ins and outs yet, so perhaps the characters in Three Houses do pipe up more often in battle that I initially thought, and I quite simply haven't encountered situations where they would often do so. Again, I'm curious about what other peoples have to say regarding the topic.
  10. I’ve been starting up a YouTube channel where I post footage of my art process. My goal is to draw every single Fire Emblem character. Check out my art and videos! For commissions please contact me via email: joojishibuki@gmail.com
  11. So BASICALLY im in act 4, Rigel Castle, and earlier I randomly started wondering "huh, i never DID get palla and catria in Celica's route" so I googled and realized I completely missed them so tl;dr im just a complete moron
  12. Something that has seen changes in various games would be the designs of the classes such as the mercenary, lord, myramidon, mage, cleric, etc etc... what do you thing of the looks for classes present in echoes? what are your favs, what do you not like, any thoughts you have on their looks at all! for me I dont have much that i dont like about the design for the classes... exept for the dread fighter. to be honest its that... not sure what it is but the thing on their backs the big ol' mega chakram fire doodad I can see how it would add to them (makes them less bland or somtin like that) but it looks so weird! it really bothers me, but I'm no good at designing. As for a class I do like the design of would be the bow knight, if I have to choose one to talk about its bow knight. not much reasoning but I just find the armor and sleeve really pleasing to look at, doubly on Kliff and his victory animation!
  13. Hey everyone, Kobazco (just call me Kobe tho) here, bringing you my first screenshot lp! I've always really liked reading these, but never had a good excuse to start one of my own. I'm gonna keep commentary and such basic I think though, I don't see much of a reason to do anything over the top. Somethings to establish about this run/lp. Yes, this is Shadows of Valentia randomized. I randomize above level 1 units via a save editor. I randomize level 1 units by reclassing them via cheats. All randomization choices are done via a list randomizer including all classes. Sadly, I can't use the arcanist/cantor class as much as I want to due to magic lists not working (units won't learn spells) Additionally, the only gender specific class that I will abide to is the Cleric, as male Clerics will not learn heal/nosferatu for the above reason. All villager characters will be randomized upon their class change from villager, as there is no villager equivalent to random to. To make things.... interesting, no mila gear is allowed and this is an ironman run. I assume if you're reading this, you've already seen/played SoV, so I'll be skipping all story elements. Without further ado, let's begin.
  14. What is the best hacks or cheats for Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia? I’m mainly looking for hacks or cheats to get the rare weapons, Astra, Sol, Luna and also easy level promotions, maxed stats, learned all weapon skills, and after all that, if it’s possible, save the file and not continuing the hacks or cheats. My OCD is killing me. Those items are way too hard to find and I don’t have the time to grind for them. :( Any help would be great!
  15. Hello everyone, If I were to make a fire emblem copycat game but with different characters, story and dialogue and but only keep the gameplay mechanics. Specifically of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, would I get into trouble with Nintendo over copyright disputes? because from what I can gather they can copyright the game, characters even aesthetics. but not gameplay. The reason I'm asking this here is does anyone have any experience with making their own FE inspired turn-based strategy game? and if so what would be the do's and don'ts? to ensure the project, myself and the team do not fall under any lawsuits by Nintendo. I know it may seem shallow to want to copy the mechanics of a game, but I'd rather make a really good copycat than a really bad original game. My other (more personal) objective with the project is to promote cultural awareness of my father country, it's language, dialects, scripture history and culture. there is a lot of media out there in surrounding it like books, movies, and music. But no video games. So that's my motivation for this project, I even found the perfect historic event to take inspiration from, one that would really fit the "FE" archetype I think. So, any thoughts or tips?
  16. After finishing Echoes, one of the cutscenes in particular moved me so much, I felt compelled to write it out myself, as a sort of writing warm-up. That's why I'm calling it a semi-fic. I have added some dialogue and small actions to the cutscene, but not much else in the way of extras. I'm not a hundred percent sure content like this would be accepted on fanfiction.net or AO3, so I figured this was the ideal place for feedback. I'm most interested in how I did on a technical level- things like do I have a good range of vocabulary, are my descriptions effective, can you visualize what's going on? So, if anyone wants to give this a read, I would be very grateful and also probably willing to read something of yours in exchange (provided it's roughly the same length). Two warnings here. First one is for spoilers, if you haven't finished Echoes and think you may want to play it someday, don't read this. It's one of the best moments of the game, possibly objectively, and knowing what happens beforehand will spoil your experience. And second, I am warning for some violence, but nothing too graphic, so I'd say 13+ is appropriate (though if you're under 13 you're probably too young to be on this website afaik). Anyway, click below for the piece. Word count is 1336.
  17. Anyone know how I could get a hold of the empty versions of the battle maps for Echoes? If you don't know what I mean this picture is what I am looking for the only difference is that this is the Gaiden version and not the echoes version. If Anyone could tell me how I could get a hold of the Echoes version I would appreciate it, I haven't been able to find them anywhere.
  18. I went with Gray being a Mercenary, Tobin being an Archer, Kliff being a Mage, Faye being a Cleric, and Atlas being a Mercenary/Cavalier. Well what are the best options?
  19. Need some players to do a beta test on my chapter 1 for ragefest echoes. Need as much data as possible as soon as possible. I am sad to say I have been playing Fire Emblem Heroes for too long and I can't trust my judgement in the testing phase at the moment. Have some images to make you curious What I am looking for: - This hack is suppose to be brutal, if you can't beat it please tell me why. - If you can beat it tell me how you did it and in how many turns. - Opinions and criticism on the overall difficulty and suggestions. - Names have not been edited so bear with it Patch is attached, please get back to me as soon as possible. Preferably before monday. Going to spend the rest of the day coding chapter 2. RFV Chapter 1 Demo.ups
  20. ... how do you think it would work? What plot elements or mechanics do you think will remain or change? This is just for fun! So, I honestly believe there will be a Jugdral remake in a few years from now. I didn't think it possible at first but then the Gaiden remake came, and if a Gaiden remake is possible, more so a Jugdral one; Seisen no Keifu is a lot of people's favorite entry in the series as well as one of my personal favorites too, and I'm sure IntSys is aware of the former. That being said, there are certain elements I don't think will make it in this time and age, but that are nonetheless of critical importance to the plot of the game (mostly the incest bit). So this is how I think (or hope?) the remake could make it: Genealogy and Thracia chapters will be all in one game. FE4 and FE5 are games that complement each other, so much so it would be hard to sell them separately, as opposed to when they first came out, since Thracia was released 3 years later. Also, they're not really that long because of the limitations of the console back then, and this time the remake would be in the Switch. This is something I've seen done in other games, or like in the remake for Devil Survivor 2 in which they added a whole new arc where there was originally just one, so it is possible. I don't think the maps will be as big, although I actually liked that and would prefer it to stay. But generally speaking, people didn't seem to like that, so they'll probably make the maps smaller (I don't think they can divide them). This would also fit well with my two-games-in-one idea . They'll tone down the incest thing, maybe turning them into cousins instead of siblings, since the important part is the blood more than how closely related they are. Although, I know the cousins deal is taken differently according to the country and culture. Where I come from, it's whatever, kinda weird but not considered incest. There will be no mention of sacrificing babies. They'll probably change it to older children or teens. Nintendo isn't ready to mention babies or toddlers; otherwise, if we were to be realistic, Garon would have tried to kill Corrin off since the beginning instead of locking them up . As for the game mechanics, I think they'll stay the same and they'll blend some from both games, like adding that mechanic in FE5 about mounted units being on foot when inside a castle or similar. But how do you guys think it would go? would you like a FE4/FE5 remake? Or maybe you think it would never make it into existence?
  21. As the title says, who would die? I have a few ideas, which are the following: Kliff: Dies during the battle at the Southern Outpost, to introduce to the audience the idea that anyone can die Faye: Dies in the aftermath of the defeat of Desaix, having been wounded in the battle and dying after the fact to make the battle seem less victorious. Tobin: Dies during the final battle against Duma, as more fuel for Alm to attack Duma with more power and anger. What do you think? Any bad ideas on mine or any you would add/change?
  22. Rules: 1. Game will be attempted in 400 turns (500 for the medal, but I'd like to challenge myself) 2. Normal/Classic 3. All deaths are permanent 4. No more than 9 characters + lords for each route 5. Pitchforks and Deliverance DLC's (if the former is specifically requested) will be permitted 6. After completing the main campaign I will be playing through Act 6, please keep this in mind for the viability of certain picks 7. I enjoy having units who support one another when possible Thank you for any picks you provide! Alm: - Faye (Mage - Kliff (any class) - Clive (Mercenary) Celica: - Leon (default class) - Catria (default class)
  23. Hello guys! I found a lot of information regarding the raw growth rate stats but had trouble finding any comparative data, thus decided to try to form my own charts. I have thus far inputted all the growth rates and then formed an average and compared each character's growth rates to the average. I totalled them all up and this allows some really good comparisons: I will work on a proper document with even more info like this including charts and graphs, so stay tuned! If you would like to help just DM me :) I have many plans and will probs do this for each game! The excel document should be ready soon with ordering too! If this all exists already please tell me, but thus far I haven't found anything like it! 24. Since the latest Nintendo Direct shown that there is an upcoming Super Smash Bros. title happened today and the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch system on 2018. But, we haven't seen any footages nor any characters revealed for the upcoming Fire Emblem Switch title and they haven't shown the Fire Emblem Switch title in today's Direct. I'm guessing that we could see Alm (he does use a bow since he does use a bow in his Hero class on Gaiden and Echoes: Shadows of Valentia and it would avoid use the Plain Swordsman category since what happened to Chrom when he was going to be planned during at Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U) or probably add Celica since Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia was released last year and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia did managed to sold well outside of Japan and it did managed to outsold Pokemon Sun and Moon's numbers since May as one of the Top 10 Best Selling Nintendo 3DS games. However, since the upcoming Fire Emblem Switch title is coming to the same year as the upcoming Super Smash Bros. title, but we have no idea which games is going to be coming out first. I totally think the Fire Emblem Switch protagonist is probably going to be showing up either as an Unlockable Newcomer similar to like Roy in Super Smash Bros. Melee since Roy's game The Binding Blade did released after Super Smash Bros. Melee or he/she will might show up as a DLC Newcomer similar to like Corrin since Fire Emblem Fates did released after Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U. I don't think it would make any sense and we don't exactly know if he/she will show up as a default fighter since his/her game is going to be coming this year if the Fire Emblem Switch title as well as the Super Smash Bros. Switch title and we still don't have a single release date confirmed other than confirmed 2018 for both of these titles. I know that Sakurai did add Roy and Corrin to the roster as Unlockable, DLC, vice versa since Sakurai did said he's a big fan of the Fire Emblem series and I totally think we could see the upcoming Fire Emblem Switch protagonist being appearing for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. Switch title sometime during at the development. What do you guys think how will the protagonist of the upcoming Fire Emblem Switch title will show up for the upcoming Nintendo Switch title of Super Smash Bros.? I'm pretty sure we could see some or a few Nintendo related characters (like any ARMS characters, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, etc.) who debut from the Nintendo Switch games that were released around 2017 through early or mid 2018 will might show up for upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo Switch either as default, unlockable, or even DLC newcomers. Edit: The E3 Presentation and the latest Nintendo Direct confirms the new title for both games revealed to be as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for December 9, 2018 and Fire Emblem: Three Houses is now set to Spring 2019 instead of 2018.
