  1. Hello, I was going to create custom supports for FE: Fates, but each time I try to compress GameData.bin into GameData.bin.lz, but each time I drop the GameData.bin file into FEAT, it does nothing. I tried Batch LZ77, but I don't have .NET 3.5 (This is another person's computer). Also, I cannot turn the .txt support file into a .bin.lz in FEAT. It just gives the same result. Also, when I put the custom supports into the "@U" folder (I have the European Special Edition), the supports don't show up. Here's my folder structure: SD/luma/titles/[titleid]/gamedata/m/@U I've heard that you need to hex edit on @UnassumingVenusaur's website, but I cannot open it (I don't want my family to think stuff)
  2. I recently started making custom animations for classes following the ultimate tutorial. I already managed to make and replace a few of them successfully. Yesterday I was making another one, I loaded the script with Feditor, but when I tried to save it it gave me the following error: Model.PortableClassAnimation.writeToFile: Exception PCA: Stream error in call to dump (File) and it only creates the Frame Data.dmp file. Now it happens even with the previous animations I made, which worked before, so it isn't the new script's fault. I tried closing, opening and saving feditor, loading an idle animation script from the ultimate tutorial, using an unmodified rom, downloading feditor again, and resetting the computer; but none of these changed the problem. Any ideas?
  3. Yup, I know i shouldn't mix melee waepons and magic in one class. Is there a way for the unit to display melee (axes) animations propely? It uses ranged ones (for obvious reasons -it thinks that the unit is a magic user). Replacing the ranged animations doesn't fix the problem - since ranged weapons have no dodge animations, these break. Does anybody know if it is a way to fix that? Or,at least circumvent it? If yes, how?
  4. My Birthright cartridge will just give me an error message whenever I try to progress through a map at random moments. I've already eliminated other things that could cause an error (different SD card didn't help, different 3DS didn't, other games work just fine, cleaning cartridge didn't work, praying, slamming it, stomping it, and cursing it have all failed). If I buy a new cartridge, will the games I've purchased through the "Explore Fates" option still be accessible with the new cartridge or am I just fucked out of more money?
  5. Okay...So, first things first: English is not my main language, so...be ready for some erros, ok? Now, to the main question: Why's my Merlinus don't getting any type of Battle Animation? I'm trying to make a hack room where he's going to be a cavalier, but I already tried everything: Changed his class to cavalier, tried to make the wager into a cavalier, put freaking cavalier animations on the wager, also tried with others classes, etc. but nothing of those worked! What's his problem anyway? I need to change a specific ''number''? By the way, I'm using FEditor.

    weird glitch, need help

    hey so I'm emultating FE7 and for some reason, when Lyn attacks an enemy her sprite just raises her sword and doesn't attack, is this a glitch?
  7. Hey all, so I've been modding Fire Emblem 6 and everything is going as I've planned expect one thing. When a character levels up, instead of an arrow pointing up with a 1 next to it, the 1 is some glitchy looking blob. Anyone have any idea what I did do make this happen and how I can fix it?
  8. So, I'm using the Ultimate Tutorial v2, and I got to the part to assemble the MAKE HACK.cmd file. Instead of doing what it should and allow me to type in the Command Prompt, it tells me that the files don't exist. Is it operator error? Also, I can't take a screenshot because everytime I try to, it closes the program. If I could get a screenshot off, it would definitely help me explain my problem.

  10. I don't know if this is just my game personally but I've noticed that no matter how much I increase the skill cap with statues, my amiibos skill cap doesn't go up. However, any other statues will increase other stat caps. Anybody else having this happen?

  13. So I've been having this problem for about a week now. There is one particular friend's castle that I've been trying to get to. However, I've been getting a persistent "try again tomorrow" message. This happens to a few different people I've gotten the calling cards of, and some who I haven't. Trying to find a fix for this, I went online and found this person who had a similar issue: http://techforums.nintendo.com/message/207232#207232 I found that my clock was off, both time wise and date wise, so i fixed both two days ago. I've been able to visit other castles that I visited before, but still not this particular friend (plus a few others). I was just wondering if anyone else has been having this issue, of only being able to revisit some people but not others even though more than 24 hours have passed. Oh, and for reference sake I'm on a physical copy of Conquest on a 3ds XL. I think it MIGHT have something to with their castles being not updated, but I would like confirmation if possible. (also apologies if this thread exists elsewhere, I didn't see it when i looked)
  14. I wanted to refrain from becoming yet another problem thread, however the only fix I have found doesn't seem to work for me. I had recently begun modding when I finished my very first largely crappy map using Tiled. I of course went to insert it into my clean FE 7 Rom using Tile map inserter and markyjoe's tiled map inserter guide, however I got this error: Could not load file or assembly 'ROMhacking, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system could not find the file specified. No data written to ROM. A quick Serenes search brought me here: http://serenesforest.net/forums/index.phpshowtopic=32802&hl=%2Btiled+%2Bproblem#entry1992978 Lucky song had the same problem, but harmony had a solution. Harmony asked if the .dll files had been moved. Lucky replied that they moved the files back and their issues were fixed. I couldn't recall where my Tiled Map inserter had been originally, I still had the program in the zip folder together with the tilesets folder, the gba.dll, the readme file, the Romhacking.dll and the program itself all in the original zip folder in which I had downloaded them from Markyjoe's tiled map insertion tutorial. The only changes to the folder I had made was copy pasting the FE7 tile resource folder to another folder and possibly moving the entire zip folder containing all aforementioned downloaded materials once or twice as a whole to my desktop or other such movements. So then I sscrapped all of the Tile map Inserter zip file and everything in it and downloaded again from the same source. This time I opened the tile map inserter program from inside my downloads folder and thus avoided ever moving the .dll files. However I was met by the same error yet again: Could not load file or assembly 'ROMhacking, Version=1.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=null' or one of its dependencies. The system could not find the file specified. No data written to ROM. I have become obsessed with finding a solution. To myself it appears that the GBA.dll file is not being read or else can't be found for some reason. I tried to do as Marky joe said and I tried to follow the solution presented to lucky by harmony, by deleting my tile map inserter zip file and downloading agian for a fresh start so that the .dll files couldn't have been moved. Neither have worked for me. Tomorrow I may get an opportunity to work on a separate computer, that may be my best solution. If it can help at all my map was made in Tiled, my Rom was clean (I downloaded a fresh one that hadn't even been touched), I included no map changes so that the first map would be easy to insert and I wrote the offset at D0D000 (again this is a clean rom of FE 7 so this should be free space) and I set the map pointer to Lyn's tutorial level C9C9D8. Hopefully the solution is simple, I can't find anyone else who has experienced this error besides lucky (aptly named for having such a seemingly simple fix) Thanks in advance for anyone trying to make sense of what the hell is happening here.
  15. Hey! I'm new to FE Universe but not completely new to modding FE8. I'm getting this error where I can't get the Text Editor tool to open. All of the other tools open fine for most of my ROMs, but in the one i'm trying to open, I added another text entry, increasing the total number of entries from 0xD4B to 0xD4C. I understand that when FEditor Adv adds something like that it places it at the end of the ROM, (which is where I found the data, so i know it's there). Is it possible to have more than the original number of text entries in a single FE8 ROM? If so, how can I change it so I can use FEditor Adv correctly?

Hey there guys, I know that I'm more than likely gonna have to shell out for another copy but I wanted to know if anybody had experienced similar problems and maybe had a solution or two I could try before I drop nearly a hundred dollars on a replacement. I've gotten to the Endgame of the first portion of Radiant Dawn and at the base I can do just about everything. That is everything except get Edward promoted with a Master Seal. When I try I immediately get a disc read error. There are a couple slight scratches on the disc but it's not all that damaged. I've tried cleaning it a couple different ways and still nothing helps. I can start the chapter and play through it, but I have not been able to get Edward to promote in the field so I haven't been able to check whether or not its just his promotion data that's been corrupted by a scratch or if using the Master Seal has something to do with it. That being said I can and have used a Master Seal on Nolan and he promoted just fine. So yeah, if anybody has any thoughts let me know.
  17. When trying to insert my events into an FE7 ROM, I get this error. I've been trying to figure it out for a while now but I'm still lost. Can anybody explain what this means (as in what it's saying I screwed up?)   18. I'm not sure if this has already been done on a different forum, but if so, I'm sorry. But anyhow, If you go to Chapter 9, and hit "View map" (You MUST hit "View Map", or else he won't show up) in the preparations menu, go to Gangrel, and hit his name's description (Touch "Gangrel" on the touch screen). It will say that he is the "Former" king of Plegia. But if you go to Chapter 11, and hit his name's description, it will say that he is the mad king of Plegia. My friend tried this on his game, and he said that the same thing happened.
