  1. I’m currently doing a (basically) blind LP of @Primefusion's TRTR , probably uploading once a week. that’s all bye oh and suggestions on improvements are welcome as I do not know what I’m doing also I'm still working on Fractured Realms lel
  2. A recurring feature of the FE games is a signature item named after the series itself. The Fire Emblem has come in all kinds of shapes and forms and has had many different uses: it's been a shield, a gem, a stone, a medallion; it's imprisoned maddened Earth Dragons, it's imprisoned evil beings, and it's imprisoned a supposedly evil being that turned out to not be evil after all. One time, it's also been a magic chainsaw Master Sword with a dark history that was barely touched on. Basically, the Fire Emblem has come in different forms, but there could always be more clever twists on the formula. Here is a topic for just that: post any ideas for a Fire Emblem that you think would be creative or a clever twist on the usual formula. Here's mine: in these games, the Fire Emblem has always been an object. How about an FE game where the player is led to believe at first that the Fire Emblem is an object, but it turns out to actually be a person. Perhaps, as a bit of foreshadowing, there's a scene where the villain interrogates an old sage character and the sage, with his dying breath, mocks the villain. But the villain notices the sage's choice of words and realizes out loud, "So, the Fire Emblem lives."
  3. Hey everyone! I’ve undertaken the relaunch of a project to provide high-quality half-card proxies for every Cipher card, in a format that overlays with the card and doesn’t cover the beautiful artwork that many of us love Cipher for. As of posting this, me and a small team of others have been able to provide proxies for all cards from series 1, 2 and 10. We also have a proxy for all promo cards from series 1 to 15. It doesn't stop there of course, as we've made many proxies for all the other series too! Like the ones below. I know I've made about 625 proxies myself, so as a team we must have made more than a 1000 proxies total by now!!!! You can find them all in our google drive. The link to the drive is pinned in our discord. We (Monnal, Zaziki and me) are trying to get more of the community involved into this project! As such; we've made a new discord server! Anyone that's interested is free to join us! We have a channel where we upload new proxies, and one that will provide you with updates every now and then. And ofcourse there's the other channels for FE discussions and cipher games. Also, the link to the google drive from before the relaunch still works, but that drive will no longer be updated. We now have a new google drive, it should be easier to find the proxy you want on this one. You can find the link to the Google Drive in our server! The link to the CPT discord server: https://discord.gg/8sdvFHH If you're willing to help us out, we would VERY much appreciate that!!! DM me on discord, I'm the owner of the server^^. Photoshop experience is NOT needed, I'd be happy to teach you how to make proxies! We do not have a schedule or watever, you're free to make any proxy you want at any time you want. No pressure. FAQ: Q: Ew, why do some of the proxies look so.. different? / A relaunch, why? Like I've said before this is a relaunch of an older project. A project started by Saiklex. The reason we're doing a relaunch is because the old project was dying, even Saiklex was not able to contribute for over half a year unfortunately. Questions asked to each other were often left unanswered. With the relaunch of this project, we continue only with members that still contibute to the project, and we're looking for new members along the way. The goal will be the same but the approach, different. We're trying to make these proxies WITH the cipher community. So we're now listening to your feedback! One of the things we heard the most about before the relaunch were the greyish quote boxes, and the class type bar showing the word 'Type' instead of 'Base' or 'Overclass' for example. (the pics above are updated to the format we're going to use from this point on). We're now going to change the things we want us to change! This is easy for the proxies that are yet to be made, but it's a lot of work for previously made proxies. For me, this means that I have to update 625 proxies... YIKES. We're not going to update the older proxies right away though, as our biggest priority is still to have a proxy for all cipher cards, but we're going to update the older ones eventually. Q: Why does this card have a solid box behind the skills when this one has a transparent box or none at all? A: This is dependant on whether the text-free art of the card itself is available online, and that is down to the artist to release on their preference. If the art is available, we can do some Photoshop magic and combine the Japanese card with the textless art to create a card with no Japanese text on which has to be covered up by opaque squares. Q: When will you do this set? Can you do this card? A: Some of us are trying to get a specific set (or color of a set) done! We’re not making these cards in any specific order. If you want to get a specific card or two done, don’t be shy to DM me on discord! (I deserve this #5776) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Retranslations Retranslations are being done by Project Hero-King. They're also interested in working on a translation for the original Fire Emblem TCG, of Which Cipher is a “sequel” to. However, very little information on it is readily available; if anyone has info on it, especially any manuals, official rulesets, etc., that would be extremely appreciated. If you have any of said information or any questions at all for the translation team, feel free to PM one of the members of Project Hero-King: @TriforceP Custom Cards Our discord server / google drive also supports making / uploading custom cards. These custom cards should be in a cipher-like format though, although they don't have to be limited to the fire emblem franchise. Feel free to make your favourite smash brothers characters into a cipher deck. Perhaps making custom cipher cards is what gets you into making half-card proxies every now and then for the community! Feedback Feedback is very important to us. Be sure to leave us your feedback, good or bad, when you get the chance. We appreaciate your opinion! -I deserve this
  4. The land of Eldrahgo is home to stories of might, magic, and valor. After centuries of war, its five kingdoms have managed secure peace that, so far, has endured even longer. Yet nothing lasts forever. In the blink of an eye, the whole continent is thrown into war again. Its only hope is a young man not of this world. A traveler who must learn to navigate this land if he has any hope of ever getting back home. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Foreword I've always been fascinated about the universe, space, other dimensions, the multi-verse theory, and other related topics generally considered the next frontier/final frontier. I believe in the multi-verse theory and wanted to create some sort of story based around that. And seeing as how there are a bunch of hacks out there set in what I consider parallel universes to the 'official' universes, I decided to go with using this multi-verse idea. Book of Eden is about a traveler from another dimension that whines up in one of those fire emblem universes. I known and talked to many people and one thing that intrigued me was how people always wanted or likes to either put self inserts, or create an alter ego of themselves, or even personal characters and put them into their favorite games/anime/universe. So I'm taking that concept and exploring how someone with little or no prior knowledge end up in one of my favorite universes. I love cross over between characters of different stories and finding out that in the official fire games, the dragon gate is an actual thing, I just might have an easier time bringing in other characters from different universes. So, in addition to the cast of Book of Eden, there will also be characters such as Ike from FE9&10 and Felix from Golden Sun TLA, just to name a few. Most will just be cameos but others will have both major and minor roles in the story. There's a saying that goes a little something like: "Born too late to explore the seas, but born too early to explore the stars." that perfectly captures how I feel about the current state of our world. Nothing beats the feeling of exploring new places and having adventures with those closest to you. Maybe the only exception to this, is having your heroes alongside you for the ride. So, I hope to convey this feeling through Book of Eden. If you would like to help with the creation of this hack, feel free to message me either here or on FEUniverse. Download Version 1.25 is out. Download Prologue to Ch.12, no gaiden chapters, totaling 13 chapters. Screenshots Patch Notes Known Bugs Credits
  5. Right now, OJ PlayerEssence is answering questions about FE16 from what he played right now on Twitch. Also, there's gonna be a Lunatic mode so...yay. I'll just leave the link here.
  6. Seriously, the game was far too easy, and there are unanswered questions in the game, I think this game needs a remake, and a new story added into it.
  7. So I've been searching the internet for a good Fire Emblem Soundfont, however i can't seem to find any. Does anyone here have a soundfont that they are willing to share with me?
  8. Something that has seen changes in various games would be the designs of the classes such as the mercenary, lord, myramidon, mage, cleric, etc etc... what do you thing of the looks for classes present in echoes? what are your favs, what do you not like, any thoughts you have on their looks at all! for me I dont have much that i dont like about the design for the classes... exept for the dread fighter. to be honest its that... not sure what it is but the thing on their backs the big ol' mega chakram fire doodad I can see how it would add to them (makes them less bland or somtin like that) but it looks so weird! it really bothers me, but I'm no good at designing. As for a class I do like the design of would be the bow knight, if I have to choose one to talk about its bow knight. not much reasoning but I just find the armor and sleeve really pleasing to look at, doubly on Kliff and his victory animation!
  9. Starting roughly half a year ago, I started doing a playthrough of Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon. Originally, it was just gameplay with subtitled commentary I made for a friend who hadn't played the game, but as I learned more about how to use my editing program, I had more ideas for my project. Starting with chapter 24, I started making some visual novel-like scenes from scratch, to add a more humorous and dynamic aspect to my playthrough (though in retrospect, some of it is a little too silly). I started calling this series OVERpLAY, partly because of the use of overlays and that I'm doing more than just playing a game. I read somewhere that at least part of Kaga's vision for Fire Emblem was for players to make their own stories, and that's sort of what I'm trying to do with this now; have some more character interactions, show some ways the deaths of some characters have affected surviving ones... ... and also play some things for laughs. Here is Chapter 24, where I started doing stuff in the "OVERpLAY" style: I was, admittedly, still trying to find some direction when I made this, and some of the humor, particularly early on with external references, which even I find a little cringy now. Also, in case you're wondering why the dead unit list is so long when the Aum staff is used, when when this was still an LP I made for a friend, I deliberately sacrificed my guys to access the gaiden chapters so I could show as much of the game as possible. Here is the Endgame: This is where I started doing stuff the way I currently am: while still mostly comedic, there are some serious moments too, and I used my additional scenes for the sake of some extra character depth, like Marth feeling the pressure of living up to Anri's legend. Lastly, here is the Shadow Dragon Epilogue: I bring everyone back to life for the sequel in an unapologetically contrived way, and make shoutouts to what's to come in Echoes and New Mystery. The very end also lays some groundwork for some of my plans for NMotE, but I'm not saying where that is. ? Here is the full playlist: As I said, Chapter 24 is where I started doing stuff in the OVERpLAY style, but here you go if you're interested in seeing how things got to that point. If you're interested in seeing an expert playthrough, though, you won't find it here. I'm planning on doing a New Mystery of the Emblem OVERpLAY in the not-too-distant future, building a story around the results of an Iron Man run, but for this, I deliberately killed off units for the gaiden chapters and I wasn't above stuff like arena grinding. Here is an unfinished video showing the progress of my current project, where I set up a little competition between my units: Here are some screenshots: Anyway, I really hope you enjoy these videos, and if you do, please leave a like and comment for the videos, and maybe consider subscribing to my channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC47MYIuECuL7-mLMDIf403Q It would mean a lot.

  11. As a part of an upcoming story rewrite patch a friend and I decided that one of the issues that needs to be fixed is the map. So he made a political map that a kind person from the 3dsFE hacking discord made into a patchable file. To instal, simply make a file in romfs named field and remove the -1 from the patch file's name. hope you all enjoy! 12. Was contemplating creating a character who has an ancestry of Dragon Laguz in their bloodline that managed to make their way into Fire Emblem Awakening's Realm such as Priam had. My question in this regard is... What would happen if a Laguz's descendant was descended purely from Laguz and Taguel ancestors? Would they still become a Branded or would they evolve to be more like the Taguel of today? Would something else happen entirely? We know the following in regards to Laguz interbreeding. Beorc+Beorc= Beorc Laguz+Laguz= Laguz Laguz+Beorc= Branded Taguel+Beorc= Taguel But what would Laguz+Taguel equal? Can't wait for some responses here as I'm genuinely curious :3 Laguz+Taguel= ???
  13. So, I got my fancy forum game set up that is built like an old Fire Emblem game. It's mostly similar to games in Elibe and Magvel. I'm looking to improve the design of it and make sure that it has well-balanced features. We're playing on Casual Mode, by the way. Now, in short, the mechanics of it are like the standard, but with several differences. The damage, hit, and crit formulas are the same. Movement stats and costs are multiplied by 4. Your standard class would have 20 Move, and plains would take 4 Move to traverse. Nothing to it. Classes are different. Every class can only wield a single weapon type, and most promoted classes are capable of equipping a second weapon type. They also have the skill system from the DS titles. The Staff class is capable of both healing and combat. Promotion is done with an item at Level 10, and gives the usual stat boosts and maybe a new weapon, as well as an extra skill. Also, the main classes(Merc, Archer, Warrior, Cavalier, Mage, Dark Mage, and Thief) have three different choices when it comes to promotion. They all have different weapons, skills, and movement. Weapons are mostly the same, but there's a few different ones. Swords, "Spears", Axes, and Bows haven't changed, but Staves and Magic are different. Oh, and there's Daggers. Staves are like in Heroes; they can heal or be used for a weak but accurate attack at a Range of 2. Magic weapons are called Gemstones, and they only have a Range of 2. Daggers have low might, but all of them have a critical bonus and a special effect. They can also be thrown, but this cuts their Might in half. Tomes exist, but are functionally the same as gemstones. Weapon Rank Bonuses are also a thing. Starting from Rank C, ranks will increase the statistics of an equipped weapon. Swords get Mt, Axes get Hit, and everything else gets a little bit of both. There's also the +5 Crit at S-Rank. Stats are the same, don't worry about that. Supports are the same; they're affinity based. They also give +2.5% Crit and Crit Evade per rank. By the way, here's a picture of one of my maps. Those were the mechanics for gameplay, now I'll go into what I do in Character Creation and Options. First, everyone gets a Personal Skill. These give characters a bit more uniqueness. A list of Personal Skills is nearby if anyone can't make one up. They are also able to change their bases and growths slightly, to give them a role. There's a limit on how much can be changed, so we don't get crazy stats. At the end of Character Creation, all players are given +5 HP and +3 Luck to help them survive. When it comes to deployment for a battle, usually only 6 people are able to join at one time, due to me not wanting to manage so many players at once. By the way, there's a capacity of 9 Players and 2 NPCs. Gameplay Options are preference-based things that affect the gameplay. I ask them to players while they're getting ready. The options include: 1. When rolling d100s, should Lower or Higher rolls be better? 2. Should there be a penalty for being defeated in battle? 3. Would you like a Lord(me) to join you? 4. Should potions heal more, or last longer? 5. Would you like the HP cap to be increased from 60 to 80? 6. Should all Promotion items be replaced with Master Seals? Gaiden Chapters, or Paralogues exist. There is no hidden condition needed to unlock them; they're just automatically presented to the players. Should the option for a Lord to join the party be picked, they will never be present during a Gaiden Chapter, as they aren't related to the main story at all. There's no Rescue option. There just isn't. Now aside from you all giving possible feedback to my system, there's a couple of questions I would like answered: 1) Magic has 2 Range, but my brother says it should be 1-2. I believe that it should be locked to 2 because of how hard it hits but now i'm unsure... what should I do? 2) How do I come up with the passive abilities for S-Rank weapons? They've got like, +5 in a stat, but i'm not sure what to give each weapon. 3) The main lord has 9 Con and wields a "Heavy Rapier", which functions like a standard Rapier. The Might of it is currently 8. Is that alright?
  14. So here's my thread for every LP that isn't my primary LP (currently Valkyria Chronicles 4, go ahead and check it out by clicking that link). Here, you can expect to see video LPs of various games. Anyway, I'll try to post videos for three games over the course of each week. So with that, my first vid will be Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, Book 1. And in this part, Ogma and Caeda show off just how awesome they are while Cain and Abel also are total one-crit wonders.
  15. So, If you don't know what FE Recolor is,1) Why are you here, and 2) It is a program made by BwdYeti. (Link Right here) It's a very cool program that lets you recolor sprites from the GBA era of Fire Emblem. However, it is missing a lot of sprites, and while the Pirate one is easy to find, the rest, like the FE6 exclusive Sprites and ESPECIALLY the monsters from FE8, are really hard to find, to the point where through all my digging, I could only scrape up a tutorial on how to make sprites compatible. So I made pretty much all the sprites I could, and they're all here: Missing Sprites Here, Ta Daaaaaa These include all the Monster sprites, Most, if not all FE6 Exclusive Sprites, and some missing sprites from FE7. I also did some work on some already existing Sprites, so that it shows more versions that use it's palette. For Example, the Female Druid sprite uses the same Palette as the Male Druid, however the original FE Recolor Sprite image only showed the male, so I put in the female. I marked the ones I worked on under revised so that you don't have to change anything, its just so that you can see it for an example. Directions Step 1: Extract all to a safe Location where it wont cause any hassle for you Step 2: Go into Missing Sprites>Sprites and Copy all the Pictures there into FE Recolor>sprites>battle_sprites Step 3: Go into Missing Sprites>Data and Copy all the .dat files into FE Recolor>data>sprites, This makes it so that you don't have to manually re position all the Palette indexes. For the Revised Sprites: Same steps as 2 and 3 except be sure to delete/move the previous .png and .dat files before adding them. UPDATE I've added The FE7 Female Theif Sprite, It could be the FE6 Sprite, but It was just easier to make an all new one. Notes So I have tested all the sprites I could with BS Palette assembler, however, I could not test the Monster sprites, Zephiel's sprite, or the Manakete-transformed sprites. Please tell me if they don't work too well in-game and please provide screenshots. Also make sure its correct on your end. Also, If I missed any sprites, please tell me, as I'll make it and add it on. Thank you in advance! And I hope I was of help. FE Recolor Missing Sprites.zip
  16. Has anybody seen the two episode fire emblem anime/OVA? well my question is if they were to make a sequel of sorts, which game would be best suited to a television/film interpretation, I think a "radiant" movie would be cool, that game has real cinematic edge, and a pretty strong plot, while awakening would make a better television series as it feels more episodically written, Fire Emblem 7 is so dramatic it reminds me of a Wagnerian opera (Is that a word?) I've also heard people compare the dark and complex plot of Geneology to that of game of thrones, though that one might have to come in at least two separate parts with possibly a third for thracia 776, i dunno anyone have thoughts on this?
  17. SPOILERS LAY AHEAD! (Used to explain idea process) Hey there everyone, so to sum things up I'm a little new to Fire Emblem. I've played some of the games in the past and have just started getting into the lore but I enjoy the role playing aspect as well. My specific question is based on looking into the creation of an OC who is descended from a Laguz line of dragons or a Wolf Laguz. I wasn't sure how to go about this and was wondering if it could fit into the timeline of Awakening or if I should base my OC on something else. I kind of wanted the OC to be a descendant of Rajaion and/or Ena's line since they were the only canon Laguz dragons to have an Unnamed Child which could lead to a Descendant but the likelihood of any of them surviving to Awakening's point is slim to none (As shown with Panne's supports and the persecution of Taguel) at the same time the Dragon Laguz bear enough resemblance to humans/Beorc to pass as one in a human/Beorc form so I believe there could be a slim, if somewhat far fetch'd, possibility of this working out. Priam was another source I looked at since he is a descendant from Ike, a character from Rajaion and Ena's time, as well. This isn't really based on game play mechanics (As I don't believe Robin can class into a Taguel or Manakeet form) but rather on the idea of creating a fun OC to play as in Fire Emblem Awakening Role Plays. I'm willing to make a different character of course which is more human/Beorc based but I enjoyed poking at this idea and was wondering what you guys thought :3 Would it work out? Why or why not? How would I manage such a character to fit into Awakening's story and lore without making it a Mary Sue or Gary Sue? Other questions I worried about was whether or not Laguz could be considered as the ancestor of Taguel and if the character should be a Taguel instead. Manakeets and Dragon Laguz aren't related as far as I know so I didn't see that idea working out to well. But again, I'm open to all sorts of ideas and or interpretations of this :3
  18. Hey so I'm creating a new Fire Emblem game by using the SRPG studio, I know this is probably the wrong topic feed or whatever, but I've currently finished most of the first chapter, and about 25% of the maps. If anyone is further intrested or can offer advice I'd really appricate it. You can get in contact through - Discord - ethanb2309#5114 Or just message me on here directly.
  19. So, I plan on making some written works here, and I decided to make his so you can understand who I have paired up with who. All of these stories will take place in the same universe... sort of. Basically, in this universe, there are: -2 separate Awakening timelines -2 separate Fates: Revelation timelines -1 Smash World that brings them together. This accommodates for each Corrin and Robin of each gender. Before we get to the pairings, a few notes in the spoiler below. Anyways, the pairings: Awakening: Robin timeline Awakening: Reflet Timeline Fates Revelation: Corrin timeline Fates Revelation: Kamui timeline If there are any thoughts and concerns about the details here, let me know.
  20. Hey, I'm making a ROM hack of FE6 and I was wondering how to edit the title screen where it says "Fire Emblem the Binding Blade"? If anyone knows how to edit the "Nintendo presents" part too that'd be helpful as well.
  21. So using a website called Brantsteele.net/hungergames , which is an online Hunger Games Simulator, I was able to create a Fire emblem-themed Hunger Games. Yeah. It's amazing. I will post my results here. feel free to make and show your own hunger games. This is gonna be great. A link to the characters + a chance for you to try it out with the same characters without having to set it up: http://brantsteele.net/hungergames/reaping.php For those who don't like clicking random links, I'll post the units here too :) Marth, Caeda, Corrin (M), Azura, Chrom, Lucina, Lyn, Eliwood, Alfonse, Sharena, Roy, Lilina, Eirika, Ephraim, Seliph, Julia, Ike, Elincia, Alm, Celica, Hector, Minerva, Anna, Ryoma Now, let's begin! The Bloodbath
  22. Discord Server----> https://discord.gg/ymvjf5J Download: http://www.mediafire.com/file/c6tuu5ttudvev8j/Genealogy+Remake.ups Patch to Fe8 (U) So, long-short story, this is my remake idea for Fire Emblem 4 - Genealogy of the Holy War. It won't be exactly like the source game was, because if it were to be a perfect copy of the source, then it would be better to go and play the original. So, what I mean is that I'm remaking it, and while I'm setting it to be as close to the source as possible, I'm also adding in some extra stuff, that I feel to be necessary to be a even better hack. For example: Thracia 776's characters, like Eyvel, Orsin, Olwen. As well as slightly altering some stuff. Some other examples include myself taking some events from the Manga version and altering it myself. I also plan to make Ishtar and Julius characters to be more relevant, and/or likable as well. So, what I mean is that, please don't tell me: "This is not a Fe4 remake." While I call it remake, all ROMHacking is actually a playable fanfiction. So, yeah, this is my version into Fe4's story. But don't worry, I'm not some edgy teenager creating a cringe-worthy story. I try to make this hack as close as possible from what's considered canon or not. And yeah, Arden is there, he's a joke, but the reason he's there is for the lack of armored units. Hanibal joins too late and giving Darsim/Xavier to the player would also make them come out too late. I hope you can enjoy this hack of mine and if possible give me feedback. And for those who played the source game: I hope you can enjoy it as well, even though it's not exactly the same plot/mechanics as the original. Credits:
  23. Hello there, I've began a playthrough of Blazing Sword, my goal is to achieve a S ranking for this run, doing so, while making sure to play the game as effectively as I possibly can, meaning that efficiency won't be the main priority in this run. If I can finish the game with only a couple turns to spare, that is my ideal goal. I have made my calculations and assuming things go smoothly, then I should be able to do this run under the 299 turns that I predicted to be my turn limit based on those calculations I've made: Chapter 11: (7 turns) Chapter 12: 8 turns = 8-7 = 1 Chapter 13: 12 turns = 1+ 12 = 13 Chapter 13x: 8 turns = 13 + 8 = 21 Chapter 14: 10 turns = 21 + 10 = 31 Chapter 15: (8 turns) 31 – 8 = 23 Chapter 16: 7 turns 23 + 7 = 30 Chapter 17: 18 turns 30 +18 = 48 Chapter 17x: 10 turns 48 + 10 = 58 Chapter 18: 11 turns 58 + 11 = 69 Chapter 19: 10 turns 69 + 10 = 79 Chapter 19x: 10 turns 79 + 10 = 89 Chapter 19xx: (7 turns) 89 – 7 = 82 Chapter 20: 16 turns 82 + 16 = 98 Chapter 21: 9 turns 98 + 9= 107 Chapter 22: 11 turns 107 + 11 = 118 Chapter 23: 9 turns 118 + 9 = 127 Chapter 23x: 25 turns 127 + 25 = 152 Chapter 24 Linus: 22 turns 152 + 22 = 174 Chapter 25: (8 turns) 174 – 8 = 166 Chapter 26: 12 turns 166 + 12 = 178 Chapter 27: 25 turns 178 + 25 = 203 Chapter 28: 16 turns 203 + 16 = 219 Chapter 28x: 28 turns 219 + 28 = 247 Chapter 29: 20 turns 247 + 20 = 267 Chapter 30: (8 turns) 267 – 8 = 259 Chapter 31: 12 turns 259 + 12 = 271 Chapter 31x: 6 turns 271 + 6 = 277 Chapter 32: 15 turns 277 + 15 = 292 Chapter 32x: (3 turns) 292 – 3 = 289 Chapter Final: 10 turns 289 + 10 = 299 In parenthesis assumes a minimum count number for the 0 turn chapters based on what might be possible for me to do. With this, I have a solid idea on which chapters I should rush and which I shouldn't bother and just aim for a close number. Thus allowing me to achieve a run that isn't more efficient than it needs to be for the rank. I hope with this playthrough to teach people how to get an S rank whitout caring much for LTC. Anyway to get rid of the black background? I pasted this from discord, and it seems it copied the color as well.
  24. Post ideas of villains you have. I made a similar topic in march but due to low activity and me generally running out of ideas to keep it going it kinda died (or not I don't know what the deadline for dead forums is). So let me make this thread so we can share our ideas. So here are some of my ideas: Name: Katsuo Class: Rogue Level: 17 HP: 40 ATK: 23 DEF: 17 SPD: 29 SKL: 26 RES: 15 LCK: 27 Bio: Katsuo, also called by "Alpha" and "Rogue King", is the leader of the Wolf Pack. He is the most successful and infamous rogue of his generation. Ruthless and devilishly handsome Katsuo is not afraid to get his hands dirty. Game Prescence: Katsuo is one of the three major antagonists of the first 11 chapters, not counting the prologues or possible paralogues, as he is fought in chapter 9. He is also one of your unit's archenemy as he killed and played with their mother when that unit was young. He and the other major antagonist of the first 11 chapters are also in numerous cutscences and often talked about in houses/villages you visit. Context before you face him: Well the final three chapters of the "first arc" is where the neighboring country makes a surprise attack on your home country's capitals. So Katsuo is outside the castle guarding the reinforcements, you, from joining in the battle. So there are two goals, defeat the boss and arrive. You are allowed to bring your lord and the unit who hates Katsuo plus 11 other units. Inventory: He has a Silver bow and a silver sword. He also has a droppable bullion (XL). Skills: Locktouch: Opens any lock without need of a key. Lucky 7: +20 Hit/Avoid for the first seven turns. Now you can post away!
  25. Honestly, I believe the old/new divide is New Mystery of the Emblem: Heroes of Light and Shadow (a game I've never played bc it's hard to emulate). Anything before is rooted in the old formula (the one I prefer). There's a Kaga/Anime subdivide in there, but I won't get into that. It has weapon durability, deep stories filled with war, politics, evil gods, etc., no waifus (Genealogy does have marriage, but there's no self-insert of yourself, so no waifus), and no phoenix mode (I know casual mode exists. I'm fine with it). Sorry to sound elitist, but it's all the really good stuff. The new stuff is anything after, and its differences pander to the casuals. That's not a bad thing. I honestly like how there's a huge aspect on reclassing and customization. I (though I don't use it) think casual mode is a good crutch if you're scared of losing units and don't want to reset every time a unit dies. It's stories are meh (Awakening's is rushed, Fates' is bad, and Echoes is a remake, but Berkut and Fernand are new, so they make the original parts of the story great). Weapon durability was dropped in this era, and was handled well. The avatar gained priority over time (much to my dismay), and waifus (or husbandos) and children units went from a good idea to a unnecessary one. This era was more... experimental. New Mystery splices these two eras. It has a story and gameplay rooted in the old formula, and an avatar and casual mode from the new. That is what I say is the old/new divide.
