  1. Transporting a modern day country to another world, more particularly a fantasy world, may sound like a very interesting and fun idea, however I heard that an isekai'd modern country would more likely suffer a major crisis if it were to be sent to a Fire Emblem world. Once a modern country gets isekai'd to a FE world, it would not be able to contact its trading partners, causing the stock market to crash and burn since most modern countries rely heavily on international trade. And if the country isn't self-sufficient on food or other natural resources, many people would starve to death. Protests would be happening everywhere around the country due to the many problems the country is facing due to being isekai'd into another world. There are probably more, but those are the only terrible consequences that I could think of. One thing is for sure that there is a high chance that the modern nation would just collapse within a week after arriving in the FE World. All of you guys are probably not economic experts, but I still want to know what you think a modern country should do in order to prevent itself from collapsing after being isekai'd and losing allies and trading partners? Additional Questions: If a modern country were to be placed beside an FE continent, which country on Earth would you choose? And which FE continent would you like for your chosen modern country to neighbour with? And why? And how would the government and citizens of the isekai'd country would react to their new neighbours in the FE world and vice versa? How would the modern country's appearance affect the events of each FE game depending on which FE continent the modern country is located next to?
  2. What if instead of the usual square-based grid, the new game used hexagonal spaces?
  3. I tried a run where i reclassed instantly robin as myrmidon, and if you want my opinion, it wasnt that bad! He is still a myrmidon, im planning on making him a sword master. Tell me what you think! (and maybe let him marry WHO and WHY) DONT SAY TO ME TO CHANGE CLASS XD
  4. I hope I'm putting this in the right place. I've been looking at other's art, and I thought I'd like to give it a go. First post. Okay, here goes! Here's a sketch I did of Female Corrin and Male Kana. I tried my best :P. Any feedback would be appreciated.
  5. I'm kinda running low on motivation given that I'm playing the game simultaneously. So I'd be glad if you would be kind enough to give me a hand. I've already created a poll so I'll just link it here. If you actually do vote then many thanks https://strawpoll.com/ppsaf87fp

  7. Hello! As anyone following me on social media (likely no on reading this thread, I don't have a terribly large following) knows, Navarre is my favorite FE character. Since he's not an overly popular character, I decided about two years ago to start collecting all of the official merchandise featuring him- TCG, artbooks, ect. There aren't really scans for most of these books online (Which is fine, people should buy the books themselves for the text imo but I do wish there were scans of all the artwork available) - a lot of them only have shaky phone pictures. Still, I think I know for the most part which images are from which books. However, upon buying Fire Emblem - The Complete, I found to my surprise, a short manga! (Two, actually, but I haven't scanned the second one yet. The second one is about the whitewings, I think?) I've never seen anyone mention this before... so I'm assuming most people haven't heard of it. I mean, I was doing digging for artwork for two years and didn't find it until I bought the book myself! I've scanned the whole thing and put it in my Google Drive- I also attempted a rough translation, but my Japanese is entirely self taught and not very extensive so I had to rely on Google Translate quite a bit... if anyone who actually can read Japanese sees this, I'd be super happy if you'd give this a quick look and see if I got anything horribly wrong! Here's the raw scans And here's my attempt at an English translation I also don't read enough to know who the artist actually is. If anyone in the know could tell me, that'd be great!
  8. So I made this little meme vid where GBA Fire emblem had Xenoblade style chain attacks and I would love if you could check it out! 🙂 If Fire Emblem had Xenoblade style chain attacks Does anyone here play Xenoblade? If yes which one is your favorite? I'd love to know 🙂
  9. Fire Emblem has changed... And whether for better or for worse (or those who don't care either way) will be a discussion until the end of time. FE13, 14, and 16 have a massive amount of support convos as well as fe16 having tons of activities for characters showcasing one of the bigger changes, which has been the emphasis on supports and interactions unlike previous entries. This means that if a character catches your eye, you have a ton of content to dive into in regards to their personality and such things, and that sheer amount of content is why a lot of people love characters from those games. Now lets talk about older FE's, or to be more specific, characters that have very few lines and few/no supports convos. Some have a few quotes, join your army and then never speak again, and some (in the unfortunate case of my favorite game) even only have a death quote. So what is the appeal of some of these characters? Why do so many of us here at SF like characters from older games just as much, if not more than the more recent ones? There are quite a few reasons but 2 I want to give is..... 1. That character makes really good use out of the few lines they are given. Like Shadow Dragon Cain when he speaks to Marth about Cornelius in the prologue, and how his death quote tragically ties in with that. This is basically all of Cain's content throughout the whole game, besides the fact that Marth has a flashback if you are playing normal mode to that convo with Cain in the final chapter. It is of my opinion that with loads of more line and voice acting Cain's really good lines would have been muddied. Imagine if he had all these crit/victory quotes where he repeatedly reminded us of his desire to never back down, I don't think these lines would have the same effect that they do if that were the case, instead whenever I think of Cain, I think of this scene and his death quote. 2. Said character told a story through gameplay, I am sure we all have experiences like this. Cain is my pick for the reasons stated above, I have plenty more I could share but I am more curious to see what SF has to say on this subject. So who do you like that doesn't have a lot of content and why? Just a reminder that this isn't supposed to be a huge critique of newer games, instead mainly highlighting the appeal that previous entries still hold in their characters today.
  10. Royal Sword really had an increase in memorability and identity from Gaiden. It correlates incredibly well to the themes and Celica's new prf sword: Beloved Zofia. It also helps give Alm a different standout weapon than being another Falchion user among Falchion users. Alm's Falchion is easily the least standout, has the least screentime and completely vanishes off the face of the earth, . With his amiibo completely locking Alm in future games with compatibility or just general spinoffs featuring FE characters. I really hope we don't have another Heroes where Royal Sword was completely shafted.
  11. Figured I'd repost this here as I saw the Shadows of Valentia Forum was looking pretty dead and this one seems like it will help me out more. If this is against the Serene Forest rules, I'm sorry (I'm new if that means anything), and I hope you can forgive me. Here's the original post I made. Hello FE Fans! I've been having a lot of fun lately hacking FE games and mostly adjusting Fates growths for some pretty fun results (Kana having 125% in all stats may have been overkill...) but I want to make a more balanced one for Echoes and release it to the public so I'll need a small bit of help. Firstly I will require two rules to start renovating this game. 1. The amount I should tamper with. Echoes can be broken just like all FE games but if I give everyone 127% (The max) in all stats, it wouldn't be that fun, would it? So I'd like to hear your thoughts on where my limits should be. I should have a set percent I can buff (50%, 100%, 150%, etc...) so I'd like your thoughts on that. 2. Should I make characters more balanced or give the same level of buff to everyone? This is the main issue I have right now. I know there's a tier list for FE: SOV so I've come up with a personal problem. Should Alm be as strong as Forsyth? And if I did only give small buffs to high tiers, what is a small buff? And what tier list would I even use? This issue has been driving me nuts and I'd like to know if the imbalance should stay or if I should give higher buffs to low tiers. Yeah that's all I got for now. Depending on feedback time, the patch should come out in two to five days. I hope I can make this game something fun and maybe have this be a series where I'll update and balance my old personal hacks on FE6, FE7, FE8, Awakening, and Fates. But yeah I hope to hear from you all with what you may want from a buff patch to FE15. Thanks and good day to you all!
  12. Let's revive the GBA rom hacking! Submit your entries here so that we can make a collection of these Fire Emblem GBA rom hacks
  13. Not the best Artist around here, but definitely trying her best to show the work :3 (The character with Xander is my Self-Insert OC hoo hoo) - /Also the FE 3H Portrait is my Fatesona/
  14. I recently bought a new sketchbook and I decided to use this opportunity to get back to drawing since I've been out-of-practice for quite some time. I'll start off with one I drew just now. Back in 2015-2017, I would have immediately pulled my pen out and outline then use the color pencils I had back in high school. But since I'm out-of-practice, I'm a bit reluctant to do so. It's a bit of a shame since a lot of people said I was good at coloring. I do have photoshop, but I'm not good at coloring on there. I'm open to any suggestions and ideas 😄 Tumblr: https://www.tumblr.com/blog/erinyesisbestknight Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/tardigrademasterrace/
  15. Describe your favorite FE moment from your past. (Cutscenes, Quotes, etc.)
  16. So I love Fire Emblem of course and I love sacred stones so what' your guy's favorite supports based on story and character development
  17. Aight so I have been playing FE4 and god damn are these levels longggggg. So I was thinking if there was ever a remake of the game what are your thoughts if there was a saving system in the game similar to Shadow Dragon and Heroes of Light and Shadow? For those who don't know in SD you could find save point in the map so you could save half way through a level. This was great since the levels in SD could drag on sometimes and would often make you traverse the entire map of go around a mountain. This took some time so the save states were very helpful. So what would you think about having a similar system on Genealogy? I would love it since some levels make you back track a lot and getting Jamke was a nightmare.
  18. So I've been wondering lately, especially with the looming war between the 'Old' and the 'New' and Fire Emblem Warriors, what you guys think is the worst Lord in the series? I'm really curious of opinion, because I honestly love both Old and New games. So I would like your worst Lord, and why you think that he/she is at your bottom list. It could be unit wise, like stats, or character wise, like in-game story or supports, or you hate the design. (You can even throw in Heroes Gauntlet responses too, I don't mind.) Thank you guys, and hope to see some neat opinions!
  19. Seriously, Dart was actually useful to me, he can become a Berserker, if you get the Ocean Seal in Living Legend, hidden in the sand, and honestly, if you want a good Axe Wielder, I recommend Dart to be on your team, and I suggest you give him Basilikos in the Final Chapter when a Sword Wielder, or a simple Assassin takes Brendan Down.
  20. With the new announcement of smash it got me thinking of what characters I would want to see, specifically which Fire Emblem characters. I would love it if they added some fan favorite characters maybe some obscure stuff or just lords from other titles. I thought that maybe having Eliwood, Lyn, and Hector as one character would be kinda cool and you would be able to switch in and out from the three or maybe just Hector cause who doesn't love him.
  21. Hello everyone! After two (very busy) weeks since my registration, I finally get to introduce myself to you all. My name is Auramaster, and I'm from East Coast USA. I've seen this fascinating website several times while searching for Fire Emblem information, and I finally decided to join in on the fun. I hope to talk with many fellow fans and participate in community discussions, because FE is one of my favorite series. The main reason I like Fire Emblem is its ability to weave strategic, challenging, and fun gameplay in with interesting characters. That type of narrative and action is what I look for in a video game. I also like delving into the lore of the FE world and learning about how all the royals and dragons are connected. I've been playing Fire Emblem since Awakening came out (Wow, its been over 5 years). I played the demo and immediately knew it was the type of game for me. Along with FE13, I've played FE14 Conquest and Revelation Routes. Up next on my list is Shadows of Valentia, but I am interested in the older games as well, especially the ones from the GBA era with their stunning battle animations. Any recommendations are certainly welcome. Overall, Awakening is my favorite so far. And while my opinions may come from a small pool of games, my favorite lord is probably Lucina, for her courage in the face of the apocalypse. The other video games/series that I enjoy are Persona, Overwatch, and a bit of Pokemon. Of course, I am up to talking about them here as well. I hope I get to get to know everyone over the coming days and share my love of Fire Emblem with you all! All of the best, Auramaster
  22. I hacked thracia to check the unused content and i found that the class lord knight (the class of sigurd in Fe4) have an incomplete staff animation (this class can use staves when is dismounted) and cause a softlock when i tried to use a staff with that class the next images are the selection of the staff, leif using the staff with animation and leif using the staff without animation (looks like he is attacking) i wanted to make leif promote to master knight or lord knight at the end of chapter 18 (i don't know how to do that) but the animations are imcomplete and cause glitches and bugs
  23. would you want children units in Fire Emblem switch honestly I might but I want to know what you think

  25. Hello everyone. So I've decided to ask a question every week now. (Ok I did two this week I'm sorry...) I'm always seeking opinions on why this is good, or this is bad, and why, because we all don't share common interest/beliefs, but sometimes we do. Thus, I want to bring certain topics into the limelight every week and discuss why you think about the topic. This week, I want to ask a question, more or less the game that 'Saved the Franchise', Fire Emblem Awakening. What did you find enjoyable about the game? It could be everything, or it could only be the music, the sprites or a certain boss in the game. I don't mind, but I would like WHY (As backup evidence, it's always good to strengthen a claim.) Same thing with what you didn't like about the game. I would like One Pro, and One Con, if possible... even if it was the smallest detail. Please also keep 'arguing' to a minimum, the last question I asked, it got a little 'out of control', so please try not 'go to war' with each other. Thank you guys, and can't wait to see your opinions! (Also Sorry if I broke any rules again Mods.... I'm still not use to forum posting...)
