  1. I wrote a song about one of my favourite Three Houses characters, Sylvain Gautier, to the tune of Carly Simon's You're So Vain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHtGqEXPz1Y
  2. Sick of names being changed? Here's a patch that reverts everything back to the traditional FE4 names. Join Sigurd on his old-fashioned stomp! The dialogue might be a bit messed up, but that's nothing important. https://www.dropbox.com/s/qb77w9xps6qtax1/fe4v25.zip?dl=0
  3. Here's a joke thread where you can post what you think Fire Emblem means. Here's one to get you started! FE1: A 16 year old and his rag-tag army takes over an entire country (it's every anime ever!) FE2: Fire Emblem met Shin Megami Tensei long before your adventure, Ikutski-kun. Also, archers are OP #BlameTakumi FE3: How can one story have two sequels, but the sequels not be related? Also, more milking than Camilla's tits. FE4: The inspiration for Game of Thrones. FE5: Game of Thrones 2: Everyone dies. FE6: The origin story of the smash bros. OC. FE7: The origin story of the origin story of the smash bros. OC. FE8: Not more incest... FE9: The cool one on home consoles with more than one type of manakete. FE10: What happened to Ike? FE11: Remake the original, attempt 3. FE12: What is it with Marth and not coming to the west? FE13: Hello, cancerous fanbase! TMS: Not persona 4 dancing: so bad it's good. FE14(B): Incest Emblem III FE14(C): Sacrificing your family for fanservice. Also, #BlameTakumi. FE14(R): We will now charge you an extra $20 for a stupid story that no-one needed nor wanted. Heroes: What? Don't like RNG? Well now the enemies can't miss! RIP you. Also, #BlameTakumi. Well, let's see what hilarity you can come up with!
  4. So Jonin and Sven, avid FE fans two friends of mine, did what I can only describe as a "minimalist spoken text LP" of FE7 of sorts to compensate for multiple recording failures: https://youtu.be/U606qVCB2D4?t=48m20s At 48 mins 20 seconds they talk about the bosses Paul and Jasmine, a running joke since FE6 and one that has continued into FE10 and FE13. Simply put, they're sick of these characters, or more specifically the "Gay people are funny" joke that comes with them, not only on the grounds that they don't find the joke funny, which on those grounds I fully respect, but also that it's not progressive or appropriate for Fire Emblem or IS/Nintendo, especially with the possibly bisexual Legault being treated as a tragic character rather than a joke. This is what I wanted to make the talking point. Jonin and Sven have never made a statement on their own sexuality, and I'd say this ties into their desire to see Nintendo progress as an inclusive and accepting company more than anything else (In their most recent episode of their podcast "Monkey Broadcast" or "MB", they have a whole discussion on Nintendo and progression that you can listen to at your leisure). I will admit that I found Paul and Jasmine funny during my first play-through of FE7 just because of how surreal the characters were in comparison to everyone else, and while the joke feels childish now, I'd like to think that the inclusion of Legault, and later Heather, are IS's acknowledgement that "not all gays are like this". However, as a straight man, I admit that I'm likely not the best person to talk about this outside of what I've already said, and don't want to come off as insensitive or ignorant, and if I have I apologise. My bisexual friend thought that Jonin and Sven were making mountains out of mole hills, but he's just one guy. So with that, I pose a question to this forum; is the whole "Paul and Jasmine" joke appropriate considering nintendo's wide appeal and should they be cut from future entries in the series in the name of acceptance?
  5. What if. Those toys in the orginal Smash 64 intro and the trophies in Melee and so on were just Amiibos that Master Hand and Crazy Hand were playing with all along. More so who do the hands belong to? I venture to say Andy from Toy Story is behind it all. Thats right Andy. I mean how else do the toys/Amiibos come to life? I feel like I'm on the verge of a discovery.
  6. In Fire Emblem Awakening, the timeline Lucina and the other children characters were originally from saw the world being turned into an apocalyptic wasteland by Grima the Fell Dragon. In order to prevent such a future from happening again, Lucina and her group traveled back in time. However, in doing so, Lucina brought forth an even darker future even though the world has been saved -- a future that shall affect Fire Emblem games to come... by being waifu material in the eyes of much of the fandom! The franchise has been saved... but... will it ever be the same?
