  1. https://store.steampowered.com/app/898750/Super_Robot_Wars_30/ I still can't believe this is happening. As a longtime fan of the series, this is... I can't even, it's practically a miracle. Seems to be the Steam version only. Then again, the PS4 and Switch versions can already be bought internationally via region-appropiate accounts, so I guess it makes sense. Although, I have my suspicions there could be some tweaks to at least the script. I already spot one thing that's changed from the English PV1 to the screenshots displayed on Steam. It could just be just a correction or for better display, but it makes me wonder. Regardless... A non OG SRW game is getting an official worldwide release!!! Come on, let's us fans celebrate this! And for nonfans, take this chance to learn about this SRPG game series.
  2. A world stolen The year is 2150. An alien empire, The Grieks, invaded that year, hoping to take the earth and all her bountiful resources for themselves. With their mechanical monstrosities, they crushed Earth security forces and military. Soon, they established a powerful and cruel government, controlling the Earth like a puppet. But all hope was not lost... Twin flames Two different but united forces seek liberation! A series of off-Earth bases across the Solar System have united into a larger force to rebuke the Grieks, known as the GEF (Griek Eradication Force)! The other is a rebel group situated on Earth, know as the Terran Liberation Squadron (TLS). The two groups, while having the same general goals, have separate actions and ways of accomplishing their goals: The GEF are more military, with larger, atmospheric battles and advanced strategies. They also collect destroyed Griek mechs for study, meaning they have a scientific advantage. Their mecha are more standardized and formulaic, with set "classes" and builds. They're usually, by specs alone, stronger than the average TLS mech. However, military protocols mean that they have less freedom to think up on-the-fly, and space provides it's own challenges with battles. Their soldiers are usually older and more experienced, but less creative and adept. Meanwhile, the TLS are more guerilla, using stealth and ambushes on ground battles. They tend to steal and recycle Griek mechs to make their own, letting them have a production advantage. Their mecha are more individualized and personalized, with extra details and features unique to each one. While, by specs alone, they're weaker than a GEF mech, they might have secondary modes, special abilities or multiple weapons to make up for it. They're allowed more freedom, and are often are quite adept on their feet, but a smaller group and less available resources presents its own challenges. While they do have less hiring standards in regards to age, meaning quite a few teenage soldiers, their more creative and adaptive brains mean they often find creative ways out of a problem. tl;dr: Pick GEF if you like real robot anime, pick TLS if you like super robot anime. Sign-up sheet! Name: Obvious. Age: Also obvious. If you pick GEF, unless your character is a prodigy or very skilled, you have to be older than 19. Gender: Again, obvious. Sexual orientation: Still obvious. Appearance: Describe how they look. Backstory: What was their life like before the story began? Employ: GEF or TLS? Mecha name: If you're going for a GEF, it's name should be something like "Myrmidon-type F3X", or "Paladin-type 2K". TLS has no restrictions. Mecha appearance: Describe what the mecha looks like. Mecha abilities: Weapons, armor, and abilities should be described here. TLS mecha can have super modes, secondary forms, and/or multiple weapons, but GEF mecha are, specs-wise, more powerful.
  3. For reals this time! I haven't wrote the intro for this but if someone can provide me with one then please do! Here are the series that we are using: Space Route: Zeta, ZZ, CCA, Space Runaway Ideon, SEED, Compact 2 Originals (Excellen Browning), Classic Originals (Ring Mao), A Originals (Idiot!Axel). Earth Route: NGE, Mazinkaiser, Code Geass R2, Gundam 00, Megas XLR, Compact 2 Originals (Kyosuke Nambu), Classic Originals (Irmgard Kazehara) Alpha Originals (Sanger and Touma!) and A Originals (Lamia Loveless.). Template: <b>Character Name</b>: (Uh... yeah) <b>Notes</b>: (While this is positioned at the top of the app for our convenience, feel free to add things to it as you go along.) <b>Background</b>: *REQUIRED* (This is a description of your character's background as per canon. This can be a wiki link for a translated canon, or a full text description for anyone. If you are writing it up and want to avoid spoilers you can send it to the mod account. If you do so title the message “[Character's Name]'s Background” and note here that you sent it to the mod account.) <b>Personality</b>: *REQUIRED* (Show us you know the character. At least 1 or 2 paragraphs is a good length for this section.) <b>Capabilities and Resources</b>: (We know your character has something to do with robots, otherwise you wouldn't be here. But what else does s/he do? Newtype? Geass powers? Own a company? Member of a military in good standing? That all goes here.) (*REQUIRED* if you have a robot. Power armor/transformed forms also belong to this section) <b>Robot Name</b>: (Uh... yeah) <b>Robot Description</b>: (What weapons does it have and what can they do? Is your mecha a super (superhero-y) robot or a real (military-ish) robot? Does it have any special armor or forcefields? Magical powers? Traits? Can it fly? How? Feel free to link to a wiki or fansite to give an overview, but write the details down here.) <b>Terrain Stats</b>: (This is optional, but for those who have played SRW, this is a good way to give us a quick judge of how good your mech is overall. For those of you who haven't played the games, they are measured: --, D, C, B, A, S, with -- or D meaning it can't fight there at all and S being the best. Note that only upgrades tend to have an S unless they are entirely gimped or unusable in other areas.) <i>Land</i>: <i>Air</i>: <i>Sea</i>: <i>Space</i>: (*REQUIRED* if you captain a flagship) <b>Flagship Name</b>: (Uh... yeah) <b>Flagship Description</b>: (Essentially the same as a robot description... except for a flagship instead. What abilities does it have? Does it have any special support capabilities? Is it intended to be used with specific units or kinds of units?) <b>Terrain Stats</b>: (Same as above.) <i>Land</i>: <i>Air</i>: <i>Sea</i>: <i>Space</i>: Upgrades: (if any) <b>Job</b>: (if any) <b>Suggested Event List</b>: (The event list should consist of important combat actions that would make good material for missions, or special events and logs that require mod or NPC intervention. At this point, canons should not have more than 10/15 events.) You are allowed to use any Banpresto mecha if you don't want to make your own robot. If some people want to RP the SEED cast then they need to PM me.
