  1. Not only did She abandoned him when he was just a Newborn , leaving him under Shannan's Care (he was just a kid back then) , disobeying Sigurd's Words, when he didn't even know how to take care of himself at that age just because she was so thirsty about Sigurd's Jeigan conqueror of castles Dick and she couldn't wait anymore for him, ditching Seliph like shit and forgetting all about of him just because her lust for Sigurd, not only that - But She never tried to Seek after him when is heavily implied that at some point she Learned about his marriage with Sigurd even tho she never regained back her memories She DID know about having another Son but she never tried to seek after him, Leaving Seliph Dread Alone under Oifey and Shannan's care with 0 Inherited Money from her or even Good Stats, heck, he wasn't even a Pure Blood Naga. The only time than Deirdre acted like a mother to Seliph was in the After Life being a Ghost, but that probably was Seliph Daydreaming about his parents and how he avenged them after all and fulfilled Sigurd's Dreams Deirdre got what she deserved for being such a bad mother and this is the root of Sigurd's tragedy and eventually Demise.
  2. Hello! I would like some help/a tutorial about how to edit texts in Fire Emblem 4. I tried to use the script dumper and inserter from the link with that post but I can't find how to make it work :/ Thanks in advance for your help!
  3. Now that Shadows of Valentia has been released and has found success in Japan and all over the world, it seems like IS wants to continue the "Echoes" sub-series. For now it seems like they're leaning toward remaking Binding Blade but I can still hope that Genealogy of the Holy War will get a glorious and proper remake. Assuming that a Genealogy Echoes will be released, what kind of things do you want to see in it? I have a few ideas: Lots and lots of animated cut scenes. GotHW has the best story in FE so I would love to see as much of it developed as possible. Side-stories, flashbacks, all that good stuff. Breaks during the chapters. It not news to anyone that the maps are huge and have a lot of empty space, so breaking them up with cut scenes and a camp or something will make the maps less overwhelming. Add the possibility to get ALL holy weapons. Make it so Lex's kids can inherit Helswath and Azel's kids can get Valflame, etc. Return of the Turnwheel mechanic but obviously with some other lore-friendly gimmick More lovers(support) conversations for all the characters Bonus chapters for other scenarios like Ares retaking Agustria Excellent orchestrations of the OST and new music Fully voice acted(or mostly like SoV) Being able to pair Seliph and Julia without a glitch Adapt that sweet, sweet Eldigan arc from the Oosawa manga That's what I had in mind, anyone have other thoughts? Ideas? I want to know what other people expect for a game like this.
  4. Is it possible to make 3rd tier classes for Fire Emblem 4? If so how? I thought it could work well since levels don't reset in FE4 so the issue of having to gain extra exp in shorter games wouldn't be an issue it could work something like one of these: 1 to 2: Lv10, 2 to 3: Lv20 1 to 2: Lv15, 2 to 3: Lv25 1 to 2: Lv20, 2 to 3: Lv30 if anyone has any info at all on this please inform me
  5. It came to my attention that the Fire Emblem 4 manual has not been uploaded online.. so I decided to scan it and upload it for you guys. PDF Raw TIF Images There's some pretty cool artwork at the end. Also, I'm very poor at Japanese (can only read Hiragana, and some Katakana and very little Kanji) so that would be cool if someone could translate the thing. edit: of course just realized I missed a page... one minute while I fix this. Should be all good now!
  6. Hello, i am learning how to hack FE4, but i wanna change the enemy grow rathes, maybe it's a first grade thing but i really don't find any clue, is just a question. How do i change the enemy grow rathes??
  7. Below I have compiled a list of almost all the etymologies of the person/place/weapon names that are in Genealogy of the Holy War. I would like to point out that I came up with the majority of these etymologies myself but I did not shy away from checking my findings with other sources such as the two Fire Emblem Wikis and some Serenes Forest posts as well. With that out of the way I would like to point out how well researched and inspired this, and by extension all other Fire Emblem games, are in terms of the names used for people/places/objects. Genealogy of the Holy War seems to draw extensively from Norse and Celtic/Irish mythology, and the use of some lesser known names is even more astounding. As a note, the list is not totally complete and it would be great if some of you well informed fans can fill in some of the remaining blanks for the names I have listed. 8. Hopefully this isn't in the wrong place. Stupid question, if you use the glitch according to this guide, does it let you use infinite movement even after ending the turn a few times? According to the guide, it still does on the second turn but I'm confused as to whether it goes on further. I'm asking because I accidentally performed this in the last chapter of the game (on altena) but I don't remember using a dancer. I was able to use Altena (with inf movement) over the course of many turns. If this is abnormal, maybe there's a chance it's my emulator's fault. I'm using SNES 9x2005 on my N3DS to play. I have a save state as well. I should add that while I said I don't remember having used a dancer (I don't remember because I wasn't trying to use the glitch on purpose), I did use two staffs. Altena was out on the field, so I used return on her, and then Hawke was in the home castle (long story) and he used a staff to teleport Altena out to a different castle, then later I noticed I was able to continually use "Return" with Altena.
  9. I was playing Civ 5 today and I was shocked to see there were no completed Fire Emblem mods for the game. Since I just completed(and loves) Genealogy of the Holy War, I was thinking of starting a little mod based on the Grannvale Empire. I'm totally new to Civ 5 modding but I got far enough to change the opening screen, the name of the civ and its cities, and I changed the unique units. Grannvale Empire Leader: Seliph The leader icon still shows Bismarck and it still has the Iron Cross icon. Still trying to figure out how to change that Trait: Together We Ride (renamed version of Germany's ability to recruit barbarians) Unique Units: Winged Hussar(trying to rename it to Lanzenritter) and Mongol Keshik(also to be renamed into Beigenritter) Of the 50 or so cities you can make, the first 46(I believe) are named after all of the cities present in FE4, not just the seven in Grannvale. These are the basics I have, if anyone knows how to mod Civ, please help out because there really needs to be a Fire Emblem mod. Edit: Here's the link to the Steam Workshop page: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=808580802&searchtext=
  10. I have been recently playing Genealogy of the Holy War and I finally reached Chapter 6. I had some of the game spoiled to me before, so I was aware of the whole second generation thing and I heard about the glitch where you can pair Seliph and Julia. I have been playing the Project Naga translation of the game and I found that the glitch is not working for me. In addition to this, all of the information I found online about this glitch is based on speculation and guesses as to what affects it, leaving me more lost. I wanted to make this thread not only to help me, but to have one central place to consolidate all of the information relating to the glitch and how to do it. Now, all morals and reasons for making this pair aside, I want to know how it works and what specifically causes it to happen. I dug through the hex values but editing them did not give me reliable results especially when it came to locating where "love points" are stored. Please, anyone with any knowledge on this subject please post so we can gather and test all we know so we have a reliable source of information. I just need this glitch to work!
  11. I recently downloaded all the tools required to start hacking. I am a total n00b so I don't know anything about this subject. I'm using Nightmare 1.0, and tried Nightmare 2.0 but 1.0 is way more user friendly, and I have no idea what they changed from 1 to 2. I want to start doing my stuff with Seisen no Keifu. Nightmare works fine saving the modified data into a GBA ROM, and I had a ton of fun changing the text using Fe Editor. However, for FE4 I have several big issues. -No matter what I do, I fail to save on the ROM (I'm using the Japanese one, and it is compatible). When I reset the game, may it be restarting the Chap or the whole game, everything remains unchanged. -How do I change the characters' names and the text? Btw I am using SNES9X emulator Thanks for the advices ... and Glory to Thracia
  12. So I was thinking, with Lucas back in smash, and the announcement of the Mother 1 translation being released worldwide as Earthbound Beginnings, many are predicting Mother 3 to follow suit. And since Roy has been added back in as well, at the same time no less, could this mean that FE6, or even the whole japanese exclusive Fire Emblem library, will receive the same treatment? Itoi's himself mentioned that Mother 1 was being translated and re-released as part of the 20th anniversary of Earthbound's release, and with it being the 25th anniversary of FE as a series, and the music concert on the way I could think of worse times to make such an announcement. Of course I may be looking into this too much, and as someone who's accustomed to the fan translations (the use of memes aside) I'd rather see these games remade rather than translated and redistributed, FE6 in particular due to its sameness and lack of polish, but I'd be excited if this turned out to be true. Penny for you thoughts, anyone?
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAkIeH1RR00 This is my first time seeing this. [spoiler=If you don't know what this is and don't want to figure it out on your own.] This must be the Japanese trailer for Seisen no Keifu.
  14. Hello again everyone! So I`m curious who here has had the luck to obtain those sweet rare FE4 figures?? heh I`ve always wanted them oh man I love FE4 and having atleast 1 would really be sweet so if anyone actually owns one how is it having one? ah and the trading card game too not any downloads of the TCG though I`m talking like physical collections of the cards if I`m not mistaken those are pretty darn rare too I also hope to obtain those one day (actually I saw a FE4 booster pack on ebay awhile back for only 10$ should have gotten that sooner) But yeah... It must be pretty fun having them I wonder if they will ever release anymore in the future? they are not finished yet from what I saw it is only set #1 ah!!! now I remember it is called exceed a generation yeah that figure set so yeah who has some?
  15. Well...umm I wanted to share something with you guys I`m sure you will enjoy its my FE4 playlist I made all the videos in it all FE4 stuff heh but with some twists I used many cheats on it so its sorta a broken plathrough Lol. I thought maybe this would be neat to share here is how it goes, first generation has more changes to classes Alec as a master knight and noish a sword master? sweet right? and the second generation is where its better as it focuses more on holy blood and holy weapons (if you mix a bunch of holy blood together growth rates sky rocket! I don`t even know how high they are) anyhow the playthrougs are meant for fun so I hope any who come across enjoy there is plenty of stuff for you to sit back to and relax while seeing have fun :) here:http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLnvW8GIFkQA2ntvUJEYnSpyeL3kDlix5S
  16. Hey everyone its me again the new guy around here..I`m curious whats your favorite holy weapon? including the enemy ones because well heheh I used cheats once on my FE4 to get all holy weapons lets just say it was fun having Tinny run around with Thor Hammer. Anyhow back on subject my favorites would have to be Fala Flame its very powerful and Alvis shows that very clearly but problem is its so heavy but it makes up for that by giving +10 def and + 10 res to protect from attacks. The other would be Loptosu who would not like it? it cuts all damage down and gives +5 res only thing that can break through are Naga and critical hits I also like the sound Loptosu makes when used for some reason it sounds so cool. Next in line is Holsety very powerful that +20 speed really helps with it Sety and Levin become untouchable except from bosses. My other would be Gungnir really like that lance because unlike the Gae Bolg it gives +10 speed and it looks cooler ever took a close look at it in battle? it looks like a trident. Last in my line up is Thor Hammer it gives best skill boost a nice +20 its rare for it to miss and thats pretty much it for me.
  17. So I don't know if this is a legitmate question or if it's been answered already(which is beyond me, because I already googled it and found nothing), but if I don't get Fin a lover in the 1st generation, when he comes back in generation 2 will he still have the equipment he had before he left, or just start with an iron lance again?
