  1. Setsuna, Absent Archer Setsuna is THE Brave Bow Desperation archer. She is not likely to kill everything in four hits, but she (and YS!Gaius) is the most likely out of all the archers to land all four hits. Unlike Blade mages, Brave Bow archers can operate more independently from their teammates. Additionally, being colorless means that Brave Bow archers are equally effective against all types units and are not hindered by the Weapon Triangle. However, as far as archers go, Setsuna has one of the weakest Attack, beaten only by Niles. Sestuna is pretty reliant on her Special to deal damage. While Brave Bow archers are a little more versatile than Blade mages in terms of coverage, they have problems dealing with certain units that Blade mages can easily deal with. Bulky Distant Counter units are quite common in the upper tiers of the Arena and they are dangerous for Brave Bow archers to take down, and Setsuna's pitiful Attack and flimsy bulk makes this extremely apparent. Raven mages are less frequently encountered, but they still appear often enough that players should be cautious and double check enemies' skills; some mages that usually run Blade builds may occasionally run Raven builds, as the sole purpose of those builds is to make Brave Bow archers disappear under unsuspecting players' fingers. Like all other Player Phase nukes, the greatest threat comes from ranged cavalry who can cover large distances quickly and take advantage of Player Phase nukes' weak Enemy Phase performance. As a nuke, Sestuna will do fine against fliers and other flimsy glass cannons. Just make sure she avoids anything bulky that can counter attack. 2. Hello Serene Forest! So im almost done with optimization of my game for Revelations, about to go to chapter 13 to get the next wave of characters. (and Keaton) (and Kaden) But I have 8 units left and i'm not sure how to configure them... Heres who I have left paired with who: Odin X Orochi Niles X Setsuna Lazlow X Oboro Takumi X Elise People say its better to put Odin X Elise and Takumi X Oboro, but im not sure since ive been marrying all the royals together... What do you guys thing?
  3. And this is what she had to say to me in my room. I'm not sure how to feel about this.
  4. This thread is Exactly What It Says On The Tin. Now, while the Fire Emblem wikia is a good source of information, it's not exactly something you'd call reliable as it can be edited freely and this is about a game that's not out in English yet. However, on said wikia, Setsuna's profile goes a little something like this, and I'm itching to find out if this has some actual merit. This seems to imply that Setsuna deliberately seeks out the traps she constantly falls into for the thrill of it. The problem is, though, that she often can't get herself out of them, which adds a whole new aspect to her personality that isn't just "complete and utter space case who is somehow competent enough to not die". So basically I'm just wondering if there's actual in-game proof of her intent to fall into this traps and what y'all think about this, really. Discourse away, friends.
  5. Setsuna. A Hoshidan bowman; Hinoka’s subordinate. She lived a carefree life of nobility and serves the capital, somewhat. Absent-minded with nerves of steel; she’s a happy person who’s oblivious to sarcasm. Has the most flexible body. [spoiler=Marriage/Buddy Seals] Spoiler (Marriage/Buddy Seals) A Marriage/Buddy seal allows a unit to reclass into one of the select class trees of his spouse (S support) or buddy (A+ support). A unit may only achieve an S support with units of the opposite gender (exc. Kamui, Syalla, Zero), and may only achieve an A+ support with units of the same gender. (The credit for the following information goes to Gayserbeam, as I copied the wording of his explanation. Check out the Class Changing and Inheritance Thread for more information. If the users Primary Class is different than their Spouses/Buddy's Primary Class, then the Marriage/Buddy Seal will reclass them to the Spouses/Buddy's Primary Class, even if the user has that class as a Secondary Class already. If the users Primary Class is the same as their Spouses/Buddy's Primary Class, then the Marriage/Buddy Seal will reclass them to the Spouses/Buddy's Secondary Class. If the user is married or buddied with a unit who has an unlearnable class, then the Marriage/Buddy Seal will reclass them to the Spouses/Buddy's Secondary Class. An unlearnable class is a class that may be unique to a character or their children. The following units have unlearnable classes: Nishiki (Fox Spirit), Flannel (Garou), Azura (Singer), Mozume (Villager). If the user is married or buddied with a unit who has an unlearnable class, and their Primary Class is the same as their Spouses/Buddy's Secondary Class, then the Marriage/Buddy Seal will reclass them to the Spouses/Buddy's Substitute Class. A Substitute Class is simply a select class a character with an unlearnable class passes down under certain circumstances. The following units have Substitute Classes: Nishiki (Herb Merchant), Flannel (Outlaw), Azura (Rod Knight), Mozume (Herb Merchant). If you're still confused, let me use Setsuna as an example to try and clarify matters! Setsuna/Asama: Setsuna's Primary Class is Bowman, and Asama's is Priest. Therefore, Setsuna would Marriage Seal into Priestess.Setsuna/Kaze: Setsuna's Primary Class is Bowman, and Kaze's is Ninja. Therefore, Setsuna would Buddy Seal into Ninja. As Setsuna's Secondary Class is Ninja, he would not receive a new class tree from Kaze. Setsuna/Takumi: Setsuna's Primary Class is Bowman, and Takumi's is Bowman. Therefore, Setsuna would Marriage Seal into Takumi's Secondary Class-- Lance Fighter. Setsuna/Nishiki: As Nishiki's Primary Class is Fox Spirit, an unlearnable class, Setsuna would Marriage Seal into his Secondary Class-- Spellcaster. Setsuna/Bowman!Avatar: Avatar's Primary Class is Nohr Prince, an unlearnable class. Setsuna's Primary Class is Bowman, and Avatar's Secondary Class is Bowman. Therefore, Setsuna would Marriage Seal into his Substitute Class-- Outlaw. [spoiler=Possible Classes] Classes in red are ones Setsuna can only achieve in either the Birthright or the Revelation campaign. Therefore, Effie, Nishiki, Jakob and Belka would get 3 votes each. Flora received only two (2) votes, Flannel received one, and Tsukuyomi and Saizou received none. Therefore, Flora, Tsukuyomi and Saizou will be out for 2 polls (returns poll 22) and Flannel will be out for 4 (poll 24).
