  2. The S support was cute but I want to see what it's like not censored due to him apparently being 17
  3. Here it is! I was really glad that my previously made "Friendship Seal Chart" was positively received, and I hinted to the possibility of me making a "Partner Seal Chart" as well... Well, after countless hours, I finally managed to make a complete chart of all possible marriages in Fire Emblem Fates! (Yes all 817 of them!, at least when counted in one direction. In reality marriages work in both ways, so some information will be displayed twice.) Here is the result: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1EoYvI1FUNqZ3dpcjZwdU9CX0E/view?usp=sharing&resourcekey=0-zq0JMUw2kAIcBfIeCmCR-A This chart shows all the possible marriages, the classes and skills that are gained from said marriage for both the parent and the child, the support bonuses from both the guard and attack stance that the unit in question would gain from a S support, and last but not least, this chart also shows the stat modifiers from the parents that determine the maxium stat caps of their children. I believe this chart provides a nice overview of several important factors, which can assist you in your final decision of what pair you should give that Partner seal to. Here is a quick recap of the inner workings of the Partner Seals: Partner Seals are used between two characters of the opposite sex that can support with eachother, (although there are two exceptions, Niles and Rhajat can have a same sex marriage with the Avatar) in order to gain the base class of the supporting unit in question, or a secondary class if the base class is already known to the supported unit. Special classes can not be gained in this way. (but you gain a secondary or tertiary class instead) In contrast to the Friendship Seal, the Partner seal works in both ways. This means that when unit A has a S support with unit B, unit B also has a S support with unit A. From most marriages one or possibly two children are born, with one base class and two classes that are inherited from each of the parents. The parents also determine the possible maximum stats the child can reach in each attribute. Special thanks to serenesforest.net for the information needed, and spriters-resource.com for the used sprites. I hope this chart will prove somewhat useful to you guys! I you would like to check out my previously made "Friendship Seal Chart", click here. With thunderous ambition, Masterthunderblade P.S. Feel free to point out the mistakes or errors I made, there is bound to be a copy-paste mistake somewhere or another kind of error. Fire Emblem Fates - Partner Seal Chart.pdf
  4. Hello! I've never posted on the forums before but I didn't quite know where to ask this, and I couldn't find an answer online. Does anybody know if there is a word limit to the supports in Awakening? I've been working on a few and I got a bit into writing the S Support of Lissa/Sumia, and it equaled out to about 2k words all together. However the game seems to suddenly line wrap and end the Support after about 700 words, or about 80 A presses(Counted them manually) Does anybody know if the game has a limit? or am I doing something wrong in the script? I've attached it for anybody interested. Thank you for your time! スミア_リズ.bin.lz
  5. I want to know if we cleared all support character each other in each route without recruit. What happened in the ending (Byleth is excluded) : Crimson Flower (Not sure) : - Edelgard and Hubert - Ferdinand and Bernadetta - Linhardt and Caspar - Dorothea and Petra - Jeritza Azure Moon (Not sure) : - Dimitri and Dedue - Felix and Sylvain - Ashe and Ingrid - Mercedes and Annette - Seteth and Flayn - Gilbert Verdant Wind : - Claude and Lorenz - Raphael and Ignatz - Marianne and Hilda - Leonie and Seteth - Lysithea - Flayn Silver Snow (Not sure) : - Ferdinand and Bernadetta - Linhardt and Caspar - Dorothea and Petra - Seteth and Flayn - Catherine and Shamir - Cyril
  6. For me, character love each other : - Byleth and Lord - Byleth and Seteth - Byleth and Flayn - Edelgard and Hubert - Dimitri and Dedue - Claude and Hilda (Not sure) - Linhardt and Caspar - Dorothea and Petra (Not sure) - Mercedes and Annette - Raphael and Ignatz - Marianne and Hilda - Catherine and Shamir - Catherine and Rhea - Cyril and Rhea - Constance and Hapi (Not sure)
  7. - Seteth and Cyril - Flayn and Manuela - Manuela and Alois - Alois and Shamir
  8. I want to recruit all the kids in Conquest (or as many as I can). Trouble is, I've made it to Chapter 18, and the only paralogues I've unlocked are Fight or Flight (Dwyer), Dragon Blood (Kana), and Great Heroism (Percy), so I still have ten kids left and about a third of the game left to get them. I still haven't done Kana or Percy's paralogues since I want to save them for later for the purposes of grinding supports. The only reason I recruited Dwyer early was so I could have him to heal in Chapter 12 while keeping Jakob a Wyvern Lord. So, is it feasible to pair up my remaining couples in two paralogues and approximately ten main story chapters? Also, how do I build supports? I know you can do it by healing, attacking while in Pair Up or Tag Team, or having Azura sing, but can you also build supports just by standing next to each other like in the GBA Fire Emblem games? I also know that the Before Awakening DLC map is infinitely repeatable and can be used to grind supports, but that's not an option since I have no money. I could use other people's castles, but I want to keep my first playthrough as isolated as possible, so I'll only do that if I have no other options. I appreciate your guidance.
  9. I don't know what character HATE each other. Other houses include. Not sure for me : - Byleth and Rhea (Crimson Flower) - Byleth and Dimitri (Azure Moon Chapter 13 to 17) - Caspar and Petra - Dimitri and Felix - Felix and Sylvain - Felix and Annette - Sylvain and Ingrid - Claude and Lorenz - Claude and Lysithea - Lorenz and Leonie - Dorothea and Lorenz - Linhardt and Lysithea - Seteth and Flayn - Hanneman and Manuela
  10. Some support Hapi explain her past and her story ? If yes precise C,B or A.
  11. I am new to both the Fire Emblem series (not really, been curious since Shadow Dragon, but never really been able to play one until recently) and this forum by extension, i have started Awakening 2 weeks ago, and i took it upon myself to understand the Class and Skills mechanics by reading other boards (which led me to this place.) Going off on that, i know that Supports are needed to optimize the army and the children to your playstyle, however i am curious: What are your favorite Support Pairings for all characters, based purely on the conversations, completely disregarding the benefits and child optimization? :D
  12. I'm using Dolphin and trying to set up supports a little late. Are there any codes that work with the emulator? It seems most of the codes meant for gamecube don't run on dolphin.
  13. So, I started with a Crimson Flower playthrough, now I'm doing a Golden Deer playthrough, and, after that, I'll be doing a Blue Lions playthrough. I don't have any DLC, and I try to recruit at most two students in each playthrough. I try to make sure everyone can get a good paired ending if I can, but I mainly have chosen recruits based on either usefulness or what part 2 paralogues they unlocked. In my Crimson Flower playthrough, I recruited Lysithea (for beating the Death Knight), Leonie (for the paralogue with Linhardt), and Ashe because I felt sorry for him after Lonato's death. This meant I accidentally left Hubert without a paired ending. For my Golden Deer playthrough, I recruited Linhardt for Leonie's paralogue, and Ferdinand for Lysithea's paralogue, with no intent to actually use Ferdinand. For this playthrough, the only person without a paired ending is Ferdinand, but I only recruited him for the paralogue, so that doesn't count. With planning out my Blue Lions playthrough, however, I've run into a problem: I have to recruit Caspar for Mercedes' playthrough (though I'm more than happy to have him end up alone as I'm only recruiting him because I have to), and the Blue Lions team comes with enough lance-wielders (and therefore knight-kneeler) that I might not even need Lysithea to bring down the Death Knight, nor am I really sure who I would even use the Dark Seals on once I beat him. So, I could go the whole playthrough without recruiting anyone (except Caspar). However, I currently plan to pair Byleth with Ingrid, and Sylvain with Mercedes. This leaves four guys (Dimitri, Dedue, Felix and Ashe) and two girls (Annette and Flayn). Who should I recruit?
  14. Does anyone know what chapter Dimitri's C support unlocks in. I am in chapter 3 and the support is glowing but it says that it will take more time.
  15. I wrote something about support grinding in here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1Gb8MjaF8NgkuXYECwFJydqpi8gd5VD9Ge4wMqqtVCKE/edit?usp=sharing Here is a summary: During your first run, increasing professor level to A+ should be a top priority (gardening, fishing, meals, choir, etc.). Then, abuse your 3 battle points and 3 adjutants to farm easy support points between all your units. Aim to reach A-rank with all of your units, but continue to gain support points past this threshold. Use New Game+ with another gender to unlock S-supports for your original gender using renown. For units that can be S-supported with either gender, you must select them as an S-support first. Therefore, it is optimal to choose only bisexual characters as your S-support that you have not unlocked yet, as you can buy everything else without viewing them. Some units are route-exclusive; prioritize those units first. Your first S-supports should be Edelgard in CF, Gilbert in AM, and Rhea in SS. Male Byleth is preferred for VW/CF/AM in order to purchase S-supports for Claude, Hubert, Dimitri and Dedue with New Game+; female Byleth for SS route. Sothis must be S-supported twice. In order to complete the support log, you must play through final missions at a minimum of 9 times. VW/SS final mission is best for this due to one map, as opposed to two in CF/AM. Every route must be played through at least once. The game automatically unlocks the support in the event log as soon as it is purchased, no need to save your file. If you wish to unlock all Goddess Tower scenes, you must play through all three routes in part 1 up to chapter 9 as female Byleth. For male Byleth, simply recruiting everyone during the Black Eagles route will work. Two music tracks are only unlockable with Japanese voiceover - one vocal song in chapter 9, and the end credits theme. Any feedback is appreciated. I may be missing essential information here and there. Thank you to all the resources that currently exist.
  16. Just as it says on the tin. Weekly, I will prompt discussion of a certain pair and their supports (whether or not they are of the same gender). Whether you like the pairing, what details there are that possibly change things, etc. If SoV is wanted, I will change this up. I’ll give my thoughts on a pairing later on in the week, after reading up on the support myself. First one up is a favorite of mine, Robin (M) x Tiki in Awakening. Edit: Now note that we will talk about one person from now on each week. As of this writing, that is Male Robin.
  17. Inspired by Support Science series by Ghast, I created this thread so that we can analyse Character Supports in context of the following: Their role in the main story, Their paralogues, and Their ending titles and Epilogues These will help us make a full story of the character. Let's see how the thread goes PS. If ghast has an account for this site please tag him.
  18. Lucina/Laurent: My favorite pairing in Awakening. The two have similar personalities in a "No Fun Club" kinda way. The S-Support was written well in an attachment to the A and flows nicely. This pair clearly could rewrite fate with Laurent's smarts and Lucina's wits. F!Morgan/Laurent: Tomestackers! I love these two, and the support is cute and playful and shows Laurent in a less serious light. My M!MU approves of his daughter's husband. Brady/Cynthia: I found all of Brady's gestures toward keeping Cynthia safe adorable. Sure, it may have been fueled by a crush, but I find the dynamic so cute. A scary priest and a bubbly flier? Also, their ending was cute. Nah/Yarne: Nah's best support hands down. M!Morgan's with her's is fantastic, but I feel like this one always shines for me. Nah is the root of some pretty bad supports (Inigo, Laurent, Gerome S-Support, while the rest of the supports are humorous), and she really shines in this one. Not to mention how it really has Yarne get one leg over the fence that is his anxieties, unlike most of the others which just has Yarne's wife vow to protect him. Stahl/Cordelia: Makes a fantastic Severa, born out of fantastic love. Cordelia finally isn't just a Chrom obsessor, and it shows a musical side to her. Stahl trying to impress Cordelia since the C and B support really hammers this support down as one of my absolute favorite pairs, since it flows so well into the S Support. Lon'qu/Panne: Two serious people. Lon'qu is afraid of women, and Panne has a distaste toward humans. The dynamic and chemistry they have due to matching personalities hindered only due to fear/dislike, made for a really interesting conversation. Lon'qu promising to make Panne Feroxi tea every morning really got me........... Frederick/Lissa: Such an interesting and lighthearted support, but done so well. These two didn't need to improve their relationship that much. They've known each other for a while, unlike how most supports are between people who only met because they're Shepherds. They didn't really need a serious support, and I couldn't imagine a better support for this couple. - Lucina/SIBLING: Really world-building and throws a lot at us with Chrom's lines at the end of the A support. The fact that the dialogue can really match M!Morgan/Inigo/Cynthia's personalities works so well since everyone finds these three to be the best pairings. The B support is really sweet and tear-jerking. Laurent/FATHER: Expands upon Laurent's past and shows why he's so much older than the others and why he watches out for his father and friends even more now. I used to not do the sibling/parent supports, but after completing all of them, I found this one to be high up there. Inigo/FATHER: Almost the same as Laurent's. Explains why he's such a happy-go-lucky flirt and gives us serious Inigo. Nowi/Tharja: Shows how Tharja can actually be a very nice person. Very basic "both people improve themselves from this support". Tiki/Say'ri: I'm glad that these two got to support each other, due to how much they can impact the story in Awakening's latter half. Very basic support where Say'ri watches over Tiki and confesses to her how much she respects her.... The A support............. girlfriends
  19. Howdy! I was wondering if it was possible to "freeze" a character's support point gains in FE8, until a certain threshold is reached (namely, beating a certain chapter)? So that, take Seth for example, he would be unable to access any support conversations, or even gain any support points at all, until chapter 8, or whenever.
  20. Hey Guys, This is probably a stupid question but this is the first time i have played a GBA Game for more than 1 Hour and i can't find anything on Google. Is it possible for a Unit to gain multiple A Supports or is it like the Awakening/Fates S Support?
  21. Without further ado, allow me to present to you my gift everyone. It is in the form 100+ hours of my labor. Okay so joking aside let’s get straight to it since you clicked on this for a reason. After doing some searches and not really finding much concrete information I decided to take on the grand task of answering all the questions that we could have about this topic’s subject line. I will list the key information to answer the questions right away here in this thread and will also respond but you’ll find a greater amount of information in the following Microsoft word document I’m attaching. Keep in mind a few things here though. I had every intention to share this information once I nailed it down so you’ll see my banter in the document. I tried pretty hard to make the document look organized since I knew people would be reading it. I created Introduction section followed by the actual questions I’d be putting to the test plus the research section and finally at the bottom the theories section and my monologue as I was testing. Keep in mind that prior to this I already had almost 198 hours on my save file. Meaning I had quite a few of the supports done. Since w/o DLC there are only 23 play-able characters (which I refer to as test subjects) my “resources” started to disappear once I began some testing. So in my document I very strongly emphasize who was clean and who was dirty (in the sense that maybe they had a few rogue points already saved off to the side before I even tested them) There are a few things I have left unanswered myself so I have to leave those parts up to the community to solve. But at least with my ground work done you can quickly read over what I already tested and theorized then go from there. If you’re wondering why I didn’t start a new file then I say to you…..NO! I’m already a little anxious to share all this with you but also I want to finish playing this game casually and enjoy the rest. So this bit right here is to the mods who I was DM-ing before i posted this as well as to anyone to finds this information and wants to re-locate it in any way/form/fashion. Now without further ado the key information. (btw I checked, I’m at 328 hours in my save file now. I really love SF to give it 120+ hours right?) An officer is an individual i refer to that is not a common solider and can be killed with one hit (unless you're really powerful and over-leveled). These people are the ones with icons on the map, can drop weapons, and are actually represented by names. Examples include the Knight, Wyvern Rider, Manakete, Solider, Swordmaster, Fighter, Thief, Fort Captain, and additionally anyone that has a special name but is still the same thing (examples include messenger, awakening tonic supplier, ruffians that sabotage bases, etc) You can earn 16 Support Points per battle based off of officer kills (in other words, each officer is worth 1 point) Once the sound effect changes, you gain NO MORE support points. It is equal to 0 To go from no support rank to C is 21 support points (2 battles) To go from C rank to B is 33 support points (3 battles) To go from B rank to A is 59 support points (4 battles) Sub-missions are worth 2 points Sub-missions are in the same pool with officer kills and max at 16. In other words, if you score 16 officer kills and then complete a sub-mission, you gain no points for it Unleashing a Dual Special is equal to 1 support point (officer kill) Dual Specials are in the same pool with officer kills and max at 16. So 14 officer kills + 2 dual specials = 16 points, any further gains are worth 0 Healing is equal to 1 support point Healing follows the same rules are dual specials Now this little tid-bit is regarding bringing out multiple people and how many pairs can you do. (Regarding #3 i only go up to testing 3 pairs. Didn't make it any further) One character can support as many people are you can deploy The points gained are neither diminished or reduce and follow the above rules Multiple people can hit the next support rank in 1 battle (Example: Chrom with Lucina, Chrom with Robin, Tiki with Marth, Caeda with Codelia) Witnessed thus far, up to 48 points (maybe more) can be earned in one battle. That is equivalent to 3 pairs of people Alright, more comprehensive information can be found in my follow Microsoft Word attachment that has 21 pages (i kept up with all my experimenting and research). If you have any questions you are free to ask. Also as stated in my paper, i started to run into some snags near the end so there will be undoubtedly some information i don't have. This includes me not having fully grasped and understood what the blessing in the Temple did, as well as getting access to the DLC support item (equipment) Research.docx
  22. You are the avatar. Support your Lord!
  23. I started playing FE5 for the first time, and I knew that units supported each other when they were nearby, and it bothered me that I couldn't find a diagram that shows what characters supported who. And I would have to look up each individual character to find out supports. So I just said screw it and made this for everyone's convenience. Might do it for other games like FE3 too.
  24. Hello, all! I'm currently wondering who makes a good S support for F!Corrin, as I do not know who to decide for! I like Ryoma and Saizo's design, and I honestly can't decide. What do you guys think? And who did you choose of all available characters?
