  1. I was thinking of this for a while for something Fire Emblem Awakening and I did saw a YouTuber Unassuming Venusaur managed to post videos of custom Awakening Same Gender S Support Conversations that gave me an idea for this topic. I know that the next Fire Emblem games after Awakening such as Fates and Three Houses managed to add LGTB support conversation for Corrin and Byleth since both of them are Avatars as well. So if Awakening had LGTB S Support Conversation for both genders of Robin happened, which characters do you think one of the Male and Female Characters do you think will might get the Same Gender S Support Conversation? I still think Tharja might get one since her incarnation Rhajat had one in Fates and she does have an attachment for Robin (Tharja would have to lose Noire since you need a father of Tharja's child), but I don't know which Male Character in Awakening might get one since they don't seemed to be have a lot of Male attachments? I know that in Fates that Male Corrin can't get Female Kana nor Nina if he had S Support with Niles and Female Corrin can't get Male Kana if she had S Support with Rhajat in Fates, that would technically means Robin can't get Morgan if he/she get the same S Support with one of the same gender characters. If I have to pick a male character that would might get a S Support with Male Robin, my guess for one of the male characters might be Lon'qu or Brady. So if your opinion on which male and female characters from Awakening that might can get a Same Gender S Support for Robin, which one do you think might get?
  2. Hello everyone! I'm new to this site so sorry if I mess anything up in advance. Anyways I've been playing a lot of Heroes recently and I've noticed that in later challenges like hard/infernal hero battles, squad assault, higher level chain battles and etc I've been not doing so well. I have a lot of five stars with competitive skills but I didn't have the sp to get them all the skills so I've been grinding for xp. I was hoping that some of you could help me with a team comp based off of My units listed below. Thank you all so much. -M Eldigan, Xander, Camus, Priscilla, Caeda, Tharja, Cordelia, Nowi, Hecor, Sonya, Merric, Nino, Faye and Bridal Cordelia are all five stars. Also please recommend other units that I should summon for to go with these units. Anywhere from 1 to 3 teams would be greatly appreciated for squad assault and chain challenges. Thanks
  3. Hi all, Still a relatively fresh player, and for the most part I only play casual games with a couple local friends. Most of what we have to work with are B08 series cards and a few others, but I had a few questions come up on rules/errata surrounding certain cards. A couple easy ones and few head-scratchers. Easy: B08-085R - Maiden of Purifying Lightning, Tinni - Do bonds that are consumed for the "critical hit" effect need to be face up to be sent to retreat, or can face-down bonds be used as long as they're tome cards? B08-038N - Serious Manakete, Nah - For a stone support to trigger Nah's effect it has to be a successful support, right? So a failed support with Nah herself wouldn't trigger the effect? And the head-scratchers: B08-096R - Emperor of Grannvale, Arvis - For the bond skill effect, which sends an opponent's unit into their bonds, how does this work with class changed or levelled up units? Does the top card go to the bond area or do all individual cards in the stack go into the bond area? Just curious because this could really throw the viability/non-viability of this ability. B08-026R - Searing Envy, Tharja - This one's confusing specifically because I'm seeing different translation on Lackey and on the wiki here concerning this card. Lackey's translation is that the card that is selected and possibly discarded is a random selection, where the wiki translation is that the player gets to select. Again, curious because this affects how viable the card is. B08-079SR - The Just Master Thief, Patty - This one's got me really confused. The third ability in the chain that Patty gets specifies that if the card in the opponent's hand is the same name as the main character, the main character is destroyed. If your opponent still has orbs left, does that mean you would just take an orb, or does that mean that the main character is destroyed regardless of orbs? If anyone knows any of the answers/rulings/translations or would be able to help me out on this I'd greatly appreciate it.
  4. Hi all! Just finished a fic earlier today that I posted on AO3 and so I thought I'd provide a link if anyone wants to check it out: http://archiveofourown.org/works/10962279/chapters/24403257 It's a four-parter, which is my take on the C, B, A, and S support conversations that Hector and Tharja would have in the Heroes mobile game if supports were a thing. I'm hoping to do a ton more of these fics down the road with different crack pairs, but went with my fave Heroes crack pairing first because I wanted to start off strong. Would love to hear any feedback on content, writing style, etc., or any other thoughts that y'all have. It's been ages since I've done any actual fanfiction so the help would be much appreciated. Thanks!
  5. Okay, so while I'm waiting on my set 8 boxes to come in, I've been reading up on how the game works, and deck building tutorials and basics and such, and I'm hoping to eventually get a few local friends of mine in on building decks and just doing some casual games together. What I kind of want to try is build a deck that will either use Tharja (specifically Dark Knight from Series 8) as my main character. I know that I'll definitely need a bunch of support cards, but...past that I'm really not sure what card abilities work really well with her abilities, or what cards would help to make her viable as an MC. Specifically, I feel like I want to try and do something that will play off of or exploit the "Spiteful Flame" ability: "Select a card from your opponent's hand and reveal it. If the revealed card has a deployment cost of 3 or less, send that card to your opponent's Retreat Area." Offhand, can anyone think of cards that would synergize well with this or...ways of going about building a deck that might allow me to make use of this card? I figure like in general this means that I can more or less force out cards onto the field, reduce my opponent's hand, pick off weaker units with more powerful ones, but...I really don't know how to make that happen or how to go from there. Ideally, suggestions from Series 8 or cards from Series 8 would be great, but I'm definitely willing to invest or look into other series if there's something that would work well. Anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? Any help would be hugely appreciated!
  6. In my opinion, Tharja and Cordelia seem canon no matter what, but if you had to choose who would it be.
  7. It was just announced that Syalla/ Shara from the upcoming game, Fire Emblem Fates, has received a name change for the North American release. Her new name is Rhajat. How do you feel about the name change? (Yes, I know I am a little late) Previous Name Changes: Kamui~Corrin Aqua~Azura Joker~Jakob Cyrus~Silas Marx~Xander Leon~Leo Ryouma~Ryoma (Not that big of change) Zero~Niles Beruka~Belka Suzukaze~Kaze Luna~Selena Harold~Arthur Elfie~Effie Mozume~Mozu Rinka~Rinkah (Another small change) Yatogami~Yato (Sword) If I missed any, tell me. What do you think about Syalla, now Rhajat's, and the other's name change?
  8. Okay, I'm really torn on this, I don't know who to marry to Cordelia, either Gaius or Lon'qu Also whoever does not marry Cordelia will probably marry Tharja Plus - I'm looking at this from a competitive standpoint and support conversations and hair colors. But, you tell me what I should do!
  9. This articles confirms some of the Mirage partners for our characters and introduces some tidbits of information on two new characters. From this article we learn that Tharja is Kiria's partner, Virion is Eleonora's partner and that Draug is the partner to a new character, Mamori Minamoto. Some information about a new character by the name of Barry Goodman was also introduced alongside information for Mamori. What are your thoughts on this new information?
  10. I'm almost through the main story for my 2nd Lunatic playthrough and am looking for a good father for Noire for postgame/DLC. Because I am undecided on whether I should make her a sniper/bow knight or a sorceror, I'd like input on who the best father is for either role. So far, the fathers that have been taken are: Donnel Gregor Vaike Stahl Frederick Henry (not married; planning to pair w/ Cherche)
  11. its true it makes like the best noire and its a cute pairing thumbs up if you agree!!
  12. Okay, I was reading through one of those "convince me to like X" threads, and an interesting point caught my eye; RangerJackWalker mentioned that if Tharja was a man, and retained the appropriate not blatantly sexualized dialogue, she would be even more controversial than before. Now, I have spent the last hour and a half reading through the supports, scripts, and the such, and it seems that as long as a few supports are tweaked and female S supports were added, it could be a fairly flawless transition. Virion's supports seem to show the most necessary change. The whole "avatar obsession" could simply switch the supports between the male and female and it could fit fairly well. So, in the end, I feel Tharja could be left mostly alone and could have been just as good a male character as a female one. The real thing that would hinder this from being done well is the fact that M!Tharja now exemplifies male sexuality, which I guess could lead to a bit more controversial subjects, seeing as m!Tharja's chest couldn't be a main point in some conversations anymore. Or perhaps M!Tharja could simply not be sexualized, and just be a really dark and stalkerish person, or is male Yandere not a thing? Anyway, that's it. Would you be fine if Tharja was a man? Would you hate her more, or less? Where on the husbando-meter would she rank?
  13. Usually I skip over Noire and bow classes but ultimately curiosity has taken over and now i'm presented with quite possibly the biggest mental debate I've had with this game. How on earth do you make a good bow user with just five skills? (This is for single player BTW) I've been aiming to use the Sniper class so I can take advantage of the Range 2-3 bows however the accompanying skill set has been a massive issue for me. With Gaius as Noires father she has access to the following notable skills: Pass Lucky Seven Luna Galeforce Lifetaker Pavise Bowfaire And from inheritance she can even gain either Sol or Counter. (I passed down counter) So being a bow user and having a weak enemy phase Galeforce is absolutely necessary so your turn will be optimal. Pass is a great skill to have as a bow user incase you get surrounded. That said your team should have a staff user with Rescue and on top of that another unit (potentially a paired up unit) can counter this problem by breaking a hole in the enemy formation. Despite being widely accepted as needed for a Sniper, based on previous points I feel it's a waste of a skill slot. Lifetaker is an excellent healing option, particularly on units with Galeforce. I can't see me dropping this skill anytime soon. Lucky Seven gives you a Hit/Avo +20 boost for seven turns. Since most rounds won't last much longer than 7 turns I feel this skill is excellent. Increasing dodge rate when you can't fight back seems incredibly useful and it helps counter Bowbreaker. I might use this. Counter is a very debatable skill. On one hand being able to damage enemy units on your turn is useful as a bow user however with Galeforce employing hit and run tactics might prove more viable. In my eyes the issue with counter is that you need to take damage for it to be useful however when the enemy team often triples your own numbers taking damage when you can run with Galeforce seems like a bad play to me. I'm very on the fence with this skill. Pavise on the other hand reduces incoming melee damage by 50% minimising the amount of damage you will be taking. This to me seems far more useful since you'll be healing with Lifetaker anyway thus vastly increasing the amount of attacks you can sponge. Using Bowfaire with a Brave Bow means you'll be doing 20 more damage with each hit. Thats really really good and means you'll have a high chance of being able to use Galeforce and Lifetaker. Luna is the best offensive skill when playing Lunatic but on such a crowded character it feels more like a luxury than a necessity. I'm not sure if i'll use this. Sorry for the wall but I really needed to put my thoughts into words. Now that I've gone through all that, the question still begs, what is the optimal skill set for a Sniper Noire?
