  1. I finished a warpless playthrough of FE5: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjiK2hBPwZdHvibQIPyoURi__sViJ_QB5 The playthrough struck a balance between turncounts and reliability. It's a very fun way to play the game and I highly recommend it. I went B route which is likely slightly inefficient. I might do an improved version someday and I will do A route next time. Last year I did a theoretical LTC run that ignored reliability and used a hacked rom for 100% growths: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjiK2hBPwZdFEixfqS5UTqQLIvUr0qaax This is a dumb gimmick run and not nearly as fun but is a lot easier to plan out. I haven't gotten around to attempting a full recruitment LTC run with or without warp but I predict the turncounts would be something like this: And this is what a warpskip SSS run would look like with a similar level of reliability as the warpless run I just completed: I'm mainly looking for ideas to improve the warpless route but if you have any ideas that would save turns in any of these playthroughs I'd like to hear those as well. Also if anyone want to try one of these LTC runs please do so.
  2. I'm in chapter 23 of Thracia and Saias is just not appearing in the map or in the unit list. I don't care if Ced is the better unit, he's already in Genealogy! This may have something to do with the fact that I have used a few cheats and I may also have a few units i'm not supposed to get in the same playthrough. But is there any way to fix this?
  3. This is my first time posting here so I don't know if I'm doing this right. So, I'm playing the Lil' Manster translation of Thracia and in chapter 15 I picked the B route, which I don't regret, but I really wanted to have Sleuf, Misha and Amalda. Is there any way this is possible, like with cheats? That is, if it doesn't break the game. *Update: I'm in chapter 23 and I got all the characters I wanted so far but Saias is not appearing!
  4. I did another 0% growths warpless low turn count playthrough of FE5. The tactics are much improved from my previous run and it should be much easier to watch due to less wasted time. "0% growths" means I play on a ROM edited so characters do not gain stats on level-up (both character and scroll growths set to zero). I like playing 0% growths because it eliminates the randomness that growths cause and improves the game's balance by reducing player strength relative to the enemy; in a normal run, I find that characters become too powerful and diminish the need for tactical maneuvers. Also, movement stars are also not used when they activate. By "warpless" I mean that I do not use the warp staff (rescue staves and the self-targeting rewarp staff are permitted). I've done runs with the warp staff before and they're plenty of fun, but this warpless route involves a lot of varied and interesting tactics in chapters that the warp staff would trivialize. "Low turn count" means that I aim to complete chapters as quickly as possible. In Fire Emblem games, there are often boring and time-consuming tactics than lead to victory with little effort, but it is far more fun and entertaining to use complex tactics that lead to a faster completion. Furthermore, the game ranks you based upon the number of turns you take, so a lower turncount can be considered a better result. However, in some cases I will sacrifice speed for reliability. This is a segmented run but in the future I hope to complete a SS rank warpless ironman run; I think it is more fun to consider contingency plans and adapt tactics during a playthrough than it is to map out a singular path through the game and reset until the RNG rolls in your favour. My idea of a good tactic is as follows: if all goes well a very low turncount will be achieved, if some things go wrong a fairly low turncount will still be achieved, and in the case of extreme bad luck several turns may be lost but a game over would be avoided. However there are several chapters in this playthrough where this ideal is not achieved. One day I will improve upon this run so please suggest any improvements that come to mind. I do not attempt to recruit all characters in this playthrough. This run is played on normal mode (without increased exp gain), so EXP distribution must be considered. This does not affect turncounts. There are several chapters for which I don't have a really good plan and I could really use some suggestions. I probably won't redo this anytime soon but someday I will. Here is the youtube playlist:
  5. A century after the fabled 12 Crusaders liberated the continent of Jugdral, a man and his trusted companions moved on to their destiny. The man was turned into barbecue, but his tale inspired many to come… Quan and Ethlyn were both dumbasses who thought it was a good idea to bring a baby to a desert… The protagonist’s (grand)father was betrayed and killed by his allies, an event never seen before in this series… Finn, being a badass, saved Prince Leif when his country fell… He stood there, watching their home burn before their very eyes… Leif didn’t know what the hell was going on, but he would understand in time… And as the years went by, a new light was starting to shine across Jugdral… Ladies and gentleman, from this day I’ll be liberating Jugdral in Kaga’s magnum opus, Thracia 776! Since everything in life has its first time, this is the first time that I do a Let’s Play, an Ironman and play an FE blind! Here you can see firsthand someone's first impression of the game, complete with bad strategies, silly mistakes, mood whiplash and bad humor! I'm not a funny person, see the intro. Here’s some information about me and rules set for this Let’s Play: And that's it. Carry on. Well, now that you guys know a little about me, I’m going to introduce the rules of this Let’s Play: This is an Ironman - I don't intend to reset if any of my units die. This is a (mostly) blind playthrough - the only things I know are that Leif must escape last, Staves can miss and that I must capture like crazy if I want money. Spoilers are counterproductive, as they go against the purpose of this playthrough (which is to play blind). These are the 3 main rules. If I remember anything else, I’ll add some more rules. Expect lots of deaths.
  6. This is a crosspost from FEU. While working on my FE5 project I had figured it'd be nice to rip the map sprites, because I can't find a unified sheet of them anywhere. Although the data is ripped using the class data table, there might be errors. If anything's odd about these, let me know. FE5 Map Sprites Here's an example: Each class gets its own sheet. Some sheets have some strange things going on, such as: Some mage classes have incorrect sprites, probably due to the correct sprites being set in character data Some mage classes have other mages in their battle sprites The High Priest and Priest have some strange things going on There's that weird Baron class More stuff, probably Unused sprites and stuff may be added later, but any sprites that aren't referenced are not included yet.
  7. Fire emblem has been straying further and further away from the "strategy" part of SRPG and more into the RPG direction. Before I start ranting and raving I want to get my biases out of the way first. My favorite games in the series are Mystery of the Emblem and Thracia 776. and the reasons I love those games so much more then the rest of the series is for 2 reasons. Meaningful class differences and a 20 stat cap. When I say "Meaningful class differences" what I mean is, for specific maps/parts of maps some classes have better tools then others that would better fit the task you're trying to do causing you to use a valuable deployment slot in order to field a unit of that class. For example take Mystery of the Emblem chapter 14, most of the chapter takes place indoors (meaning mounted units can't use there mounts) so you would generally want to bring foot units, but there are ice dragons inside who ignore defense so you'll you want to bring a unit with a lot of hp as well. Also there is a thief running away outside with a warp staff so you'll want to bring at least 1 high movement mounted unit to get that high value item. this Is why I love the fact that mounted units can't be indoors, not because it nerfs mounted unit, but because it adds another layer of strategy and consideration for the player to decide who to bring along for the chapter. Now some people might be hesitant to bench a unit they're "training" for a chapter, but luckily having stats cap at 20 across the board compliments this aspect of the game. By having a stat cap of 20, it doesn't matter if some units miss a chapter, or maybe even a few chapters! first off enemies are usually very bad in these games, but also training units 20/20 to cap their stats yields little reward to the amount of time you put in. also having super high stats are meaningless if whatever class a unit is in is unfit to deal with the level design. in fe4 there are tons of foot locked units with 10/10 combat that will clear the arena without fail 100% of the time, but that doesn't change the fact that it's very hard for them to see combat in the first place since the maps are so vast and spread out. In new games there is very little consideration on who to bring with you because of the level design. In 3 houses i'm never "oh a desert map, better not field any of my cavs" its more like "oh a desert map, sucks my cavs aren't going to see much combat but might as well bring them cause everyone else who I don't use regularly is to under leveled to use even if they would be useful otherwise." don't mean to sound elitist, but I think the pushing of RPG mechanics over strategy mechanics has made the series lose some of what made it unique in the first place. what do you guys think?
  8. Hi, I wanted to talk about challenge runs, but any of them in any FE game. I had the idea of GBA/3DS FE without using supply and trading only during the chapters (no battle prep trading), maybe even no armory in battle preps (completely skip prep), maybe no supports along that (I never really used supports in FE and never needed them so far before FE 13 and the pair up mechanic showed up, only to buff Colm/Neimi and sometimes Eirika, most of the time I didn't even click "support"). I think a run with the weakest available (repairable/buyable) weapons would be funny depending on the game (well that's basically how I play FE8 most of the time ^^ with iron, fire, light and flux except for endgame bosses with high def/res and hp who hit like a crashing plane in your face with 120-150 accuracy ouch). Swapping roles (physical units with magic and magical weapons, magical unit with physical weapons). No mobility (playing with 4 movement on everyone like you have an army of knights). No 1-2 range weapon (or use it like you use a 1 range or 2 range, no javelin/throwing axe ennemy phase army). Swords/Bows/Magic only run (Laguz/shapeshifters only run with only the necessary non shapeshifter stuff like Ike to defeat Burger King's terrible plan to raise obesity in the whole world, and you play some Amazonian tribe resisting the empire of Burger King and its' fat church leaders wth their panther transformation XD). Only the less accurate weapons run. Devil axe run (might need to hack an unbreakable devil axe though). This would be a hardcore Nuzlock challenge. Only poison weapons. Only effective weapons. Only the lowest level units available, maintain an average level (lol you can't even promote then). Only lowest speed/luck/strength/def/res/mag/hp...units. (funny to see a team of Arthur-like units get (nuz)locked out of the PT by a random crit: "Hi Knoll how's it goin'?" "Got crit killed by the first ennemy I fought, I should have instantly promoted to summoner and spam summons till I hit 20..." "Sad story bro, see you in the next PMU since no one plays you without farming"). Your ideas?
  9. I recorded an SSS rank playthrough of FE5. I took 163 turns, played on normal mode, and did not use movement growth or movement stars. I prioritized safety over turncount, but recorded best-case-scenarios. I know most people here just care about getting the lowest turncount so I have some notes on that as well. Here are the videos: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLjiK2hBPwZdHKtH-kd8TQegZrA8GsElEr Here are my turncounts: ch1 - 4 ch2 - 4 ch2x - 8 ch3 - 6 ch4 - 13 ch4x - 8 ch5 - 15 ch6 - 7 ch7 - 7 ch8 - 4 ch8x - 0 ch9 - 2 ch10 - 6 ch11 - 4 ch11x - 2 ch12 - 2 ch12x - 5 ch13 - 5 ch14 - 10 ch14x - 0 ch15 - 2 ch16a - 2 ch17a - 2 ch18 - 9 ch19 - 1 ch20 - 15 ch21 - 1 ch21x - 5 ch22 - 1 ch23 - 1 ch24 - 6 ch24x - 3 ch25 - 3 total - 163 As for an elite mode SSS route that prioritizes turns over reliability here are the turncounts I would expect: ch1 - 4 ch2 - 4 ch2x - 7 ch3 - 6 ch4 - 9 ch4x - 5 ch5 - 11 ch6 - 6 ch7 - 6 ch8 - 2 ch8x - 0 ch9 - 2 ch10 - 2 ch11 - 3 ch11x - 2 ch12 - 2 ch12x - 5 ch13 - 1 ch14 - 10 ch14x - 0 ch15 - 2 ch16a - 2 ch17a - 2 ch18 - 7 ch19 - 1 ch20 - 15 ch21 - 1 ch21x - 3 ch22 - 1 ch23 - 1 ch24 - 6 ch24x - 3 ch25 - 3 total - 134 I am looking for information on potential improvements to this run, either to increase reliability or to decrease turncount. Please let me know what I've missed. Edit: added turncounts for unreliable route
  10. Hiya! I'm Zane. You might know me from my FE5 Menu Translation. Although work on the menu translation has essentially ceased, I've been steadily working on a project that uses it as its base. So, I'd like to introduce Emblem Chronicle VII (henceforth called ECVII): ECVII is essentially a demake of FE7 within FE5. It's a proof-of-concept, learning tool, and showcase all in one. I'm currently planning on making all of Hector mode, skipping Lyn mode. This release has two chapters. This isn't 1-to-1, however. I'm not looking to write Elibe fanfiction, but this won't ever be a cut/paste job from 7 to 5. Classes, enemies, maps, and dialogue, along with some other things, will likely be changed. Unit stats, skills, and classes are not final. This is partially due to the WIP nature of the hack, but is mainly just me figuring out how to play with FE5. Have some screenshots: Here's a patch: ECVII [12-1-17] This is for an unheadered, unedited FE5 ROM. I'm not responsible for anything past chapter 2. Please don't ask me why it's vanilla. I'd also like to reiterate that essentially none of this is final--if you have a suggestion, I'd like to hear it. If you've got a complaint about stats/levels, be thankful that they'll be getting smoothed out later. I'd like to thank everyone involved--I certainly couldn't do it without you: There are plenty of bugs in the current build. If you find one not listed here, let me know. I'll probably be releasing more tools, doc, and whatnot sometime soon. More info, plans, and screenshots are likely to be appended to this post shortly.
  11. I'm at the end of Chapter 19 in Thracia 776, which I understand is the last escape chapter before the Gaiden that requires me to have let someone get captured to access it. I was thinking of leaving MIranda behind to teach her a lesson for being so rude to me when I rescued her the first time. I used her to recruit Conomer this chapter already. I won't miss anything by putting her in time-out for a few maps, will I? If she's needed for something, my next choice would be Shiva, and if he's needed for something, I've got other possible candidates, but Miranda is my first choice.
  12. Why Nanna is a Bad Unit by A Boy Nanna cannot be mounted indoors which means she cannot look cool while indoors. Cool is also used for temperature. Temperature is measured by a thermometer. Thermometers are made out of mercury. Mercury is the first planet from the sun. 1st can be directed towards things like a race or something like that. What kind of races are there? Mario kart. What is in mario kart? Ditches that you can fall into. What else can you fall into? Pitfalls. Nanna is confirmed a pitfall. Pitfalls are generally things that most newbs do that are discouraged. Most newbs like Nanna but actually she's bad. The pitfall sign is yellow just like Nanna's hair. The sun is red and yellow. Using Nanna may result in the sun exploding and killing us all. This is why nanna is a bad unit. There’s more though. Nanna has the Earth Sword. Obviously the Earth is related to the Earth we're on rn. What does the Earth have? Oxygen. We breath oxygen. Oxygen makes water. H20. H20 can be related to a hose because close enough plus hose makes water. Hoses are green. the Earth is green. Clearly a sign of another flood coming to wipe out Earth if you use Nanna. Mercury is 1st. Earth is 3rd. Venus is between. What does Venus have to do with anything? Well if you think about it, Earth can be turned into heart and Mercury in a therometer has that big red circle at the bottom. Clearly this is the top half of a person with the Mercury being the brain that has everything. The mercury is trying to transfer to Earth but Venus is blocking the way. Venus is veing extremely not understanding super to Mercury rn and is being rood. so how can Mercury stop venus? Well he cant. But Earth can. When people die, ghostly forms of themselves come up with those little harps and onion rings on top of them. Clearly they're moving like air. Air is in wind. Wind can push things. We can use wind to push venus away. But we need to kill Nannas to do this. Mars is the place where people are like aliens are there. Well they are and they want shit from you. What kind of shit? They want the Earth Sword to suck life out of everything. We have to make sure no Nannas survive in order to prevent these aliens from taking over the universe because killing Nannas will result in losing the Earth Sword. Jupiter has a big red spot on it. That big red spot is actually a 3 headed Clifford who's ready to come and pounce on us anything. But we have our nukes to stop him. The 3 headed Clifford has made an alliance with the aliens on mars to get the Earth Swords in order to take over and absorb our nukes. But there's more to this. Saturn doesnt like Mars or Jupiter blocking the sun so he and FDR met in the British Charter during WW2 in order to create an alliance. Saturn wants our help to get rid of the 3 headed Clifford and the aliens from mars. He needs our credit card number, the 3 numbers on the back, the expiration date, and lots of fuel for the ring to create a plasma cannon to blast the 2 planets. But where would we get such fuel? From the ghostly people with little harps and onion rings of course. Nanna is the best candidate for this because we need to kill the Nannas anyway to prevent the aliens from Mars from taking the Earth Swords. Earth obviously wants all the help it can get so president Truman teleported behind Uranus and Neptune asking them to help fight the aliens from mars and the 3 headed Clifford. They say they would but they're so depressed from being so far away from the sun and action that they need some encouragement to fight. This is why we use those Nanna souls to help them feel better with their little harps. With your help, we can kill as many Nannas as possible to prevent the aliens from Mars and the 3 headed Clifford from attacking us and destroy them instead with the help of Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. Also Pluto doesnt count. Cause it aint a planet. And this is why Nanna is a bad unit. Thank you for listening.
  13. Hey Folks! So I've been running through Thracia for the first time using the Translation patch and have hit something of a roadblock on Chapter 23 Cyas is Recruited at the beginning of the chapter and every guide says if you don't choose Sety then Cyas joins you (if you choose Cety Cyas leaves at the end of the chapter). Sety Enters the map and kills the boss when someone from your army enters the green square; however, if you kill the boss guarding the castle before the NPC turn he doesn't appear at all. Heres what I tried, Killed boss on the first turn and seized the castle. Cyas left at the End of the chapter for the Tower of Blagi rather than joining my army signifying that I'd recruited Sety Instead (though I didn't). When that didn't work I baited the green square with a Dracoknight and Sety appeared. I brought him to the upper right corner with a Draco later on, but didn't recruit him. I finished the chapter without recruiting Sety and Cyas still left. Am I missing a detail to his recruitment here? Has anyone else had this problem? Is this perhaps a glitch?
  14. By far the most important version of threads inspired by GrandeRampel I bring you that most ignored, least beloved of IS's fire emblems in the eyes of FEH, Thracia 776. With a grand total of 8 characters in Heroes attributed to Thracia, with 3 of them featured prominently in Genealogy (Leaf, Nanna, and Finn) and two alts bloating the count one could even argue there are only really 3 truly Thracian characters in heroes. Now it is time to defy the odds and dream big, worry not about how realistic the banners be (realism leaves when we imagine a Thracia banner even occurs) shot for the stars and create whatever wild and crazy banners you fancy. The rules: 3-4 in the banner itself plus TT and GHB, No alts for pete's sake Let me start with three amusing Banners: The Father-Daughter Banner with: Dagda, Tania, Galzus and Mareeta, with Sara as TT and Manfloy as GHB (yeah I know Manfloy is Sara grandfather not father, close enough) The unique weapons banner: Orsin and the Pugi, Tina and the Thief Staff, Dean and the Dragon Lance, Asvel and the Grafcalibur with Fergus and the Beo Sword as TT and Reidric and the Lopto sword as GHB Plus the Memeiest banner of all: the Marty Party, Ronan the Mage Killer, Shanam the sham, with five star Xavier as the TT's 50,000 pt prize, and Kempf as the the memeiest GHB...IN AMERICA
  15. So um, I was trying to patch a Thracia ROM earlier, and I had tested it beforehand to make sure it played fine and didn't have any problems. After I had done that, I applied the patch (It was the NP patch on an NP ROM) after the opening story scroll ends I just get a black screen and the title doesn't load. Does anyone know why this is occuring?
  16. Hey guys! So I finally got my Thracia 776 patch working and I've been playing it for a while now and enjoying it quite a bit. I am currently on Chapter 7 (wow that Manster escape was fun but difficult!) I just wanted the opinion of some of the veterans of Thracia: how many units do you recommend I train throughout the game? In most FE's I usually end up with a team of 12-15, but I know this game has the whole fatigue factor to take in. So, would you recommend more units than that? I was thinking maybe more like 18-20? Thanks for any help you can offer!
  17. 'Ello everyone! So, a while back I made a post explaining that I had beaten every single Fire Emblem except for Fire Emblem Thracia 776 by now. I've really wanted to play this game, but I haven't been able to properly get it working. Lemme explain... So I use the following: - SNES9x version 1.54. - This base-game ROM: (snip) - This menu patch: https://serenesforest.net/forums/index.php?/topic/80126-fe5-unified-thracia-prototype-menu-and-script-translation-through-ch-3/ - Not relevant, but I will be using an online script from SF as well... Okay... so here's my issue. The ROM works fine, I can run it perfectly after downloading it. When I apply the patch, I am informed that it was successfully patched. Then I go to run the patched ROM on SNES9x and it simply does not open. It gives me the yellow error message... something along the lines of "bad_checksum." If anyone can please help me on this matter I would greatly appreciate it. Please just allow for another crazed Fire Emblem fan to finally beat the series... It's all I want.
  18. I hacked thracia to check the unused content and i found that the class lord knight (the class of sigurd in Fe4) have an incomplete staff animation (this class can use staves when is dismounted) and cause a softlock when i tried to use a staff with that class the next images are the selection of the staff, leif using the staff with animation and leif using the staff without animation (looks like he is attacking) i wanted to make leif promote to master knight or lord knight at the end of chapter 18 (i don't know how to do that) but the animations are imcomplete and cause glitches and bugs
  19. I'll start this off with a message to the mods: If this isn't in the right place, apologies! I couldn't really locate a perfect spot, so I figured since this involved most games the "General" section was a safe bet! ^-^ I have all the games that would probably be a recommendation, so that is already a start. I seem to be having difficulty really starting and committing to a single game though. At first I wanted to play the games chronologically, but since I've been in Archenea (sp?) overload as of late I wanted to play with some new characters. Not that I'm opposed to playing New Mystery if that is the best choice. I'm pretty open to any title, and as the topic name says: not even Thracia, Xavier, and some guy named Cyrus who I'm supposed to fear make me err from it. Games that are challenging make me want to stay and see it through a lot more, and coupled with Fire Emblems' permadeath feature that makes me care about the characters a lot more on top of that. That being said, if Sacred Stones - which I know from a second hand experience is the most "watered down" in terms of the older games' difficulty - would be a better choice, that's also fine. I'm not perfect, I may wipe or lose a chapter last minute on an easy setting, but I'm always fine with finding a better strategy. Standalone titles being axed first is also a fine notion. I'd prefer to save the Tellius games for a bit later, as my "Wii" needs to be gotten up to a more passable speed before I can enjoyably play those two. Basically, I can't choose! They all seem like fun, interesting titles to me. Like seriously, I'm so glad I picked up Birthright and Awakening, which led to Echoes, then Warriors, and now all of these wonderful gems. It's nice to have that "in love" type of enthusiasm for a whole series again. ^-^ So yeah, any suggestions or opinions on why "X game is the best" are welcome. I want to hear 'em all. Danke!
  20. Hello fellow FE mates! So, I just recently beat Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War. Now the only remaining game in the series that I have yet to play is Thracia 776, but I am having some serious issues finding a working ROM for it. So far I've downloaded four ROMs and all of them have either only been one part of the game translated. All I want is to finally say I've beaten the whole series. Can anyone guide this poor boy to a translation that at least has translated story/dialogue, items, options/moves, and character names? Some translations even mess up on the intro. The very first screen of text introducing the game will have a sentence that starts with gibberish letters like "rn." Anyway, it'd be greatly appreciated. Seeyaround!
  21. This is a sort of crosspost from FEU. I've been interested in learning about Thracia 776 recently, so I've put together some notes and I figured that it'd be nice to share them. I'll continue to update the file with as much as I find. Thracia 776 Doc I was working on an entry for MAFC using what I've learned, but the amount of knowledge required outran the research I had done, so I ran out of time. Here's a screenshot of my progress, if you're interested: Info on inserting maps will come soon. I'm still transferring notes into the stackedit document, and certainly still researching things. Anyway, if you have anything to add, please let me know.
  22. After roughly 9 months there were many main series additions that aren't event-related. Almost every series got more faces to its roster ... but almost is almost. I'm pretty one of the banners for November is going to be a special one, so it leaves space for another main series entry. The progression so far from launch: - Sacred Stones/Genealogy - Genealogy/Thracia/Binding Blade/Radiant Dawn - Blazing Blade - Shadows of Valentia - Path of Radiance - Shadows of Valentia - Mystery of the Emblem - Shadows of Valentia - Sacred Stones - Path of Radiance - Genealogy of the Holy War So far the only main series that didn't get any more faces are the newer entries, Awakening and Fates. Fates kinda cheats in that regard since we got Charlotte and Shigure in their event forms before the actual incarnation. Both games are, of course, represented often in special banners though there are some rather important characters missing. Awakening has still a lot of the original shepherds (Sumia, Maribelle, Vaike, Miriel, Ricken ... no I didn't forget someone), while Fates is missing pretty much everyone who isn't a retainer to a royal (most notably Kaze, Silas, maybe Rinkah and Flora). The ones that didn't get 'proper' banner presentation are the participants from the Sibling Bonds banner; Thracia, Binding Blade and Radiant Dawn. Noticeably, Leif and Micaiah, the protagonist of their respective games, are still missing. The latter is also quite high in CYL which begs the question of her whereabouts. What do you guys think about this? What game is going to get the spotlight?
  23. I feel like you all have been waiting enough. If you happen to frequent FEU or you've been vigilant here on Serenes Forest, you might have seen some Thracia notes or screenshots. I'd like to give you all a taste of what I've been up to. Zane's Thracia 776 Menu Translation More information and a download link is provided here Patch is for an unheadered, unedited FE5 ROM. Please, as always, reply soon
  24. Hello everyone! I'm new here so I'm not sure if a thread has been open about this. So I bought a new SNES Classic Edition from Gamestop, and have modded it to run a few extra games. One came to mind is both Genealogy of Holy War and Thracia 776. I looked online to see if it has ever been done before. So I did some research. since I do have the North American version of the SNES Classic, the emulator built-in will not be able to play PAL or Japanese games. But there's still a way to play Fire Emblem games for those that don't want to pay an import fee for a Super Famicom Mini Classic (even though the console still looks cooler than the lame NA look). So far, I'm stuggling trying to find a proper patched Genealogy of Holy War (w/Project Narga translation patch) and unable to play the game on the Classic. However, I was able to run Thracia 776 w/ the english patch (although an old patch) and was able to get a close enough real SNES experience to play the game. What you need to do this A SNES Classic Edition (either PAL or North America models) Hakchi mod tool for your desktop Retroarch w/cores Thracia 776 Rom w/English Patch I'll be updating this thread with more as I'm at work right now. Will post pictures, and if you're an owner of a SNES Classic and was able to add both Fire Emblem games, please contribute here. Here's a video demo https://youtu.be/NzfKzb7E1fA
  25. It seems that many people's favorite game is FE4, and is one of the most beloved in the franchise, but the sequel, and last game on the SNES, Thracia 776 is rather obscure. Not that many people talk about it and even most people I have encountered that have played Genealogy has not even touched FE5 which is weird. How come? Is it becuase of the menu's still being untranslated?
