  1. I was thinking of this for a while. Since Ylisse and Valm are the future continent of Archanea and Valentia, I do noticed while playing Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon and Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia had some classes were completely absent in Awakening. I do know that Awakening doesn't use Third Tier class promotions since Valentia had them and this game does travel to Valm. I think the Third Tier class promotions were absent because Awakening uses the Class Branch Promotion. To my knowledge that I do know that Dread Fighter and Bow Knight were the only recurring classes in Awakening that were formerly Third Tiers to become as DLC for Dread Fighter and 2nd Promotion for Archer and Mercenary class. Does anyone know kinda wondered why some of these classes from Archanea and Valm where completely absent in Awakening? I do know that some games like Judgral, Elibe, and Tellius usually keep the classes that appeared in the first part later returned in the second part. I did seen some classes from Archanea were absent in Awakening were: Hunter -> Horseman (I definitely do know that Horseman class were definitely replaced by Bow Knight class since you need an archer riding a horse) Bishop (I definitely know that they were replaced by War Monks and War Clerics) Pirates Ballitician (But, we do know they did comeback in Fates) Freelancer (I definitely do know Freelancer is Xane's Exclusive Class since Xane is no where to be seen in Awakening) Rest of the Manakete classes except Divine Dragon and what Nowi's and Nah's Manakete as far as we know of (I think they might have been killed off sometime between Marth's/Alm's and Chrom's timeline) Emperor I did seen some classes from Valentia were absent in Awakening nor in seen in Valm as well: Fighter (not the Axe version of Fighter) Priestess Princess Rest of the Third Tier class except Dread Fighter and Bow Knight Brigand Arcanist (We don't know if they have relationships with Sorcerer class) -> Cantor Witch (We definitely know Duma was the one used Women in Valentia to become Witches, but they did made comeback in Fates) Rest of the Monster classes except Revenants and Emtombeds
  2. Mila has godlike powers while Bulma has technological innovation smarts, Bulma can transform into a dragon, but Mila is technically already a dragon, Bulma has a son, but Mila doesn't, Bulma married a meme, Mila married an edgelord, Mila has no father, Bulma has a father who has the exact same personality as Bulma, Mila's got the same voice actor as Bulma, but her performance as Mila is VASTLY different from Bulma, and finally, Mila has green hair, while Bulma has blue hair.
  3. So hear me out. When you played Echoes, and possibly also Gaiden, at any point, did any of you guys think like you were exploring a big open world once? When I played through other games that involved me roaming around the continent, I sort of felt like I was in the adventure, exploring the great open world, and seeing so many new things. Even Awakening offered some aspects, but there it was two continents explored. Valentia, and by extension Valm, really didn't feel that grand to me. It felt so small. Like it was a very small world, and it was only the act of dungeon crawling that ever gave it a big more bulk to it. What about you guys, did any of you guys think that you were at all exploring a continent when playing Gaiden/Echoes when compared to other Fire Emblem games?
  4. SOURCE: http://nintendoeverything.com/nintendo-q1-financial-results-fy32018-switch-at-4-7-million-shipped-total/ So during Nintendo's financial report, they highlighted some figures for the Switch and 3DS. Interestingly enough, they decided to mention the following: "For Nintendo 3DS, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia was released in Japan in April and overseas in May and has been a popular title." Could this be an indication that Shadows of Valentia sold much better than previously expected, or is this just Nintendo PR speak for the 3DS? Perhaps IS will be willing to remake other games in the series if this game was considered "popular" by Nintendo.
  5. Hi everybody! My name's Kyle McCarley, and I'm the new voice of Alm. If you're familiar with my work as 9S in NieR: Automata, you may be aware of the fact that I streamed my playthrough of the game on my Twitch channel. Starting on Tuesday 5/30 at 7:00pm Pacific, I'll be doing the same thing with Shadows of Valentia. Hope to see some of you then!
  6. I've been looking through the forging upgrades for weapons in preparation for post-game content and it seems as though it would be better to know about which things are more worth getting ahead of time, since gold/skills take a while to farm/grind. Of course it's best to go for variety, but what are the "must-haves" for this game for various types of units? Also, I personally went with rings and shields instead of weapons for healers and armored units, does that seem like a good strat, or maybe just confirmation bias? I made a small list of (imo) some of the best choices. I don't think I'm missing anything, though I haven't done as much research as others have, probably. [Spoiler: Weapon names listed below]
  7. So i was wondering, is it possible to get both Sonya and Deen in a single playthrough? Cause i though i heard in gaiden either one would join you later, but if not, then whatever
  8. Hey everyone, I'm back with another interview. This time it's Kyle McCarley, the voice of Alm in Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia as well as Fire Emblem Heroes. He also did Soren's voice for Heroes. He gave some incredibly in depth answers about the process of auditioning and recording for Echoes and Heroes. He also had some really cool insights about Alm's character that he does without getting into any spoilers. I had a blast conducting it and hope you enjoy it too. https://comedyngaming.com/news/interview-kyle-mccarley-voice-alm-fire-emblem-echoes
  9. Does anyone have any gameplay clips of Atlas in shadows of Valentia?
