Zelgius
I wanted to forge a Steel Lance. I saved first. I had a coin, so I used it. Damn, vine. Reset. I try a Steel Axe. Coin... again, vine. Am I cursed to get the vine card until the coin is used?! x_x; EDIT : I forged an axe with a coin, got a vine card. I forged again with a coin, ANOTHER vine card. Should I just give it up and hope I can get through the chapter normally? Edited January 11, 2008 by VincentASM
Ranulf
Thats because the card you pick is predetermined! So you really have no choice but to stick with the vine.
Fore
^ | | Ranulf nailed it. It's just like how you can't reset when your character dies in the GBA games.
Zelgius
Ah, snap. Guess I'll have to waste two coins then.
Aurion_Emblem
it's not so much wasting as much as it's using something that's useless (for the vine) LoL, using a useless thing, that's funny
Allan's Aokage
Ranulf nailed it. It's just like how you can't reset when your character dies in the GBA games. Lol, Restart Chapters.
Florete
That vine thing got me too. I even decided to wait until the next chapter and STILL got the vine.
CGV
I know I know... I revived another post, but I found a... SOLUTION! If you get the vine, just forge and Iron axe without any modifications and the vine will go on that. If you want you can sell the axe for half and overall you only lost 200 gold. Using the axe is not bad either cuz it has 50 shots

Feaw
Yupz, happened to me too. As people said, it's pre-determined. Just ehh, follow the tips the guys here said. :3 And btw, you get like 30 coins in the game anyway so why a problem wasting a coin. <__< It's not like you're gonna forge 30 weapons. You don't even have money for that (maybe only in part 4). 2 to 5 of them will suffice.
Camus The Dark Knight
I normally make a crap weapon that costs like 200G and see what I get... if it's good I reset and make my actual weapon. If not, move on and try again. Then again I don't forge very much anyway.
