Zkirsche
Oh please. That fight came out of nowhere, and ended without much explanation in like two chapters. It's one thing for you to have the opinion that this is good (that's not that crazy, even though the fight is anti-climactic bullshit that has been coming for the entire fucking manga), but to then take this and follow it up with: Kisame vs Gai, and Kisame's backstory, is also farly interesting. In any case, it's a vast improvement over "lolsasuke". Sure, it needs more kabuto plot, but whatever. is just insulting. One Piece built up to the biggest, baddest motherfucking armageddon cage-match from hell with everyone and their goddamn mothers battling left and right. There is no way --no way-- that you can find Naruto's recent plot developments to be better than the last one hundred chapters of One Piece and not be crazy. Oh yes, Impel Down and the Royal Rumble were interesting, but take the last few weeks. It's virtually an advertisement for the next saga in the new world, with subtitles telling you of all the names of the major people (like we didn't know that already) and just a bunch of monolouge about what they're going to be doing. No action, no plot twists, just the same old crap. Excuse me for not jumping for joy. Moreover, if you think One Piece is boring, you either haven't read very much One Piece, or you have objectively bad taste. PICK WISELY. I think one piece recently is boring. Esau of Isaac
Kisame vs Gai, and Kisame's backstory, is also farly interesting. Somewhat. In any case, it's a vast improvement over "lolsasuke". Sure, it needs more kabuto plot, but whatever. Well yeah, but that's akin to saying that losing a leg is a vast improvement over losing everything below your hips. Everything has to start back up again. If he just barreled forward and had constant battling and action every chapter, shit wouldn't get done. Bleach has consistent action, and it's been sucking dick for years now.

Zkirsche
Well yeah, but that's akin to saying that losing a leg is a vast improvement over losing everything below your hips. But that's an exaggeration, it wasn't THAT bad. Sure, we knew Naruto would make it in the end, and that is was an obvious power-up, but that's the same wit ha lot of powers. Of course there isn't going to be very much action; the world's largest battle just got done. Everything has to start back up again. It could be done in a much more interesting way, moreso than exposition central. Why is it that in most movies/series' exposition is moaned about, yet when there's like, 10 chapters of it in One piece, it's better Maito Guy? Bleach has consistent action, and it's been sucking dick for years now. Because the whole point of bleach is to overcome the limits are defeat everyone, and it worked in SS. Consistent action isn't teh problem: teh action just sucks. Edited August 29, 2010 by Zwiebel
