This combined with potential stat boosts you may have given him in Lyn mode will give him significantly better atk and evade than Legault (lvl 12 Legault starts with like 9 str, while level 12 Matthew with B Guy and Hector averages with 10 str, make that 12 if you gave him the Energy Ring). Making Matthew overall more useful of course. If you're going for Assassins, Matthew also has a significant win here with those supports he has, while Legault basically has no support options at all. That, I can garantee, but Matthew's skill is so low for an assassin, even Dorcas has more skill than him, but then again, sword give extra accuracy. Leagult is better than Matthew when he's out on a solo mission. Matthew is better when supported with Guy and Hector. Since we're talking about the best Assassin, Matthew is CLEARLY the superior option because he gets moar crit from his supports. BTW, your premise about him having the worst affinity making him worse than Legault is also not well thought out because the main reason Wind sucks is because it doesn't give an evade boost on its end, but it sure as hell gives boost to Atk, Hit, and Crit.
