Now, how can i change a class or a character when the PIDS or the JID is too short ? For example, I wanna replace Heather by Zelgius. Heather = 7 letters and Zelgius = 7 letters. Ok, good. But for the class ROGUE_F is 7 letters and MARSHAL_Z is 9 letters. Is it impossible or there is a way to avoid this problem ? Thanks !

Either add it to the bottom or replace classes or weapons not being used in that chapter.

Add it to the bottom of the data file. It's easier to replace something that isn't being used, like override steel knife with the class you want.

Well, I got a new problem now. I did the change for Soren. He is now a Dark Sage, with his own map model and even during the battle. But when he get promoted to Dark Archsage, he get the model of Pelleas during the battle and not in the map. How can I fix that ?

Every character has a battle animation set for their class, so i'm guessing you would have to change what animation is set for him. Not 100% sure on how this works, though.

I think that only applies to the CPU, as far as I could tell, anyways. I could be wrong, but it doesn't affect the player.

1) How to increase how units to bring with you in the map 
2) How to make the convoy for everyone since the beginning
3) How to make a unit recruitable (not a priority, but I have an idea, can we add characters in the battle map data ? what do you think about it ?) or how to add more characters when you have to do the three teams of the fourth part (more important)

This means in theory one could create extra base convo's for every single support pair in the game and have these convo's set in certain chapters. An example:

Leo and Edward's C support could trigger in 1-7, if you have a C support at that point the convo shows, otherwise it does not.

Their B support can be viewed during chapter 3-6. 

Their A support would trigger on the silver route in 4-1. 

If you do not have the appropriate support rank it just doesn't show up. Some support convo's might only show in the Greil army, or the Hawk army. Even gareth and Nasir would be able to get an extra convo in with every other character. 

 

Now that sounds amazing right? Sadly, i got massively stuck on the actual conversation. Mist / Boyd in 3-F. I tried to determine what references what, but haven't made much progress. 

So if anyone knows what certain symbols reference, or point to, please let me know. If this nut can be cracked, the implementation would not be that hard, it would be the same thing replicated over and over. It's just a matter of understanding how to do so.

So what do i know so far;

It is rather clear where sentences are being cut off to have them not go outside of the dialogue border, also, the W's in between words are the amount of times portraits wink during that specific sentences. You'll also notice a lot of  letters like "ec" and "mc", these stand for "eyes open" and "mouth closed" etc

The numbers at the start of every sentence adress which character is talking and is being highlighted on screen. 

At the very beginning, the arrows and R's and L's determine where on the screen portraits spawn.

And sadly that is where I currently am. Most of the important information is in the beginning with all the weird letters and symbols. These must determine when the base convo is a go or not, depending on who is alive, in this specific case the support level between both units, if they're on the same team (amy convo on hawy route comes to mind) and more. 

If anyone has any idea's I would greatly appreciate the insights. Expanding Radiant Dawn's supports is to me, one of the best ways to improve the overal quality of the game. It would also offer immense replayability since every time you match units with other units, new base convo's would pop up. So let me know, I'm curious to see if this nut can be cracked! I'll be going back into the files now, see if I can find anything worth of note!

So weirdly... Pelleas alive and dead is the same... So maybe the triggers are stored elsewhere...?

OK, some more digging, I have found where the event checks are stored. They're found in the Script folder, and i have found the corresponding maps. This is 3-F's Ready check for mist and boyd:

What I do not know now, however, is what part of the random garble of text surrounding it is needed for the convo to trigger. The last part can be left out since these supports don't require items to be given in game. What I also do not know for sure now is whether or not it is possible to have convo's for every support level. It could be that there is only a trigger for the A support. 

Since others are active here again, anyone able shed some light on this maybe? ALL help is appreciated!

I'm truly sorry but it's far from my abilities what you are talking about. Did you try to open your file in HxD ? It will be easier to recognize the value, no?

I am going to be crazy xD, I was looking to put some new items in the shop, but I don't understand what I have to do. I understand everything explained in the first post, but there isn't an explication to know how to do the modification. Did I have to replace the pointer only ? I did it, but it wasn't working.

The base is available in 01/04 only, after the third chapter, so did the data begins with this chapter after the debug map, or did he begins directly with the prologue of the first part?

What are you trying to do? Trying to decompress files, edit files?

The normal armory upgrade as you progress in the game I think, but the special shop is per chapter.

I have a question, maybe the most important for me right now. I succeeded to put Zelgius, Kezhda and Levail as playable characters for the part 3. (P3-3, P3-4 and P3-10) But I had the same problem as the NTSC-US version of the game when I played with gecko codes. The characters disappear when we have to make the three teams.

I was thinking to modify emap0401a.bin file if the "e" before the map is for event as bmap with b for battle. But now, I really need to know the method of adding characters. I know that every PID and JID need 104 bytes but I do not know how to do to add something without corrupting the file. I just want to add three more characters and when you have the board to make your teams, you have 2 free places in Micaiah's team, 3 in Ike's and 2 in Tibarn's team. 

And I was wondering if I can modify the highlighted values without corrupt the game ?

And how can I find the last 104 bytes of the last character of the data ? Thank you to telling me how to add new characters . ^^

I thought it was pretty obvious from my post,  but what I am trying to accomplish is the following:

Narrow down the checks in the base convo files that look for a certain support level. With these, i can build my own base conversations that trigger when certain characters gain a support rank with each other. 

Currently there are two base convo's that do this, one of them is MistxBoyd base convo in 3-E. this only triggers when they have an A support. 

I want to use this mechanic to add base conversations that would act out as support conversations, thus allowing characters to be more fleshed out while also encouraging replayablity. Since everyone can support anyone, every single pairing could have at least an A support convo. However, for that, I need to find the "switch" that checks whether or not the required support level is met.
