Since the database for Fire emblem games on this site are so helpful, i figured i would contribute. I would be glad to see this put up under the extras and other data section!

Chapter 10 Stealth Run

EDIT: This is for NORMAL mode only, there is a guide link on page 2 of this thread for HARD mode that gets the statue frag.

-This requires 2 mounted units, mordecai, ike and volke, the rest are extras and not used.

-Put the extra key from chapter 7 in the inventory of ike's rescuer(oscar for me)

-This will yield 1070 bonus exp and some combat exp(124 for me) but skips the statue frag.

-you only need to open the doors of brom and nephenee, talking isnt needed.

-character reposition does not matter, just follow step by step!

-have Ike equipped with the Regal Sword prior to starting

1.move extra characters up out of the way, end turn

2.rescue Ike with oscar, move to 3 squares south of sephiran's door

move marcia to the next to oscar's left

move volke below marcia

move mordecai below volke, end turn

3.move mordecai right 5, down 1

move volke down 1, right 3

move oscar down 3, right 3

move marcia down 2, right 4, end turn

4.move volke right 1, up 3, steal the door key

move marcia up 2, resue volke, down 2, right 4

move mordecai right 4, up 1, take volke, drop volke below

move oscar right 3, end turn

5.trade mordecai the door key with volke

move mordecai up 6, right 3, open the door

move marcia right 1, rescue volke, up 3, left 1

move oscar right 1, up 5, end turn

6.move mordecai down 3, shove bron

move oscar left 5

move marcia up 1, left 3, end turn

7.move mordecai up 3, left 4, down 2

move marcia right 2, trade mordecai key, move left 2, up 3, right 1

move oscar right 1, up 3, end turn

8.move oscar up 4, right 2

move marcia left 1, up 4, left 1

move mordecai left 9, end turn

9.move oscar left 4, up 3, left 1, drop ike to the left

move marcia left 4, up 3, drop volke to the right, up 1

move mordecai with the rest of the group out of the way, end turn

10.kill boss with ike

move oscar left 2, open chest

move marcia up 2, right 5

move volke left 5, up 1, open chest, end turn

11.move ike down 1

move volke right 1, open chest

move marcia right 2, down 4, end turn

12.move marcia down 2, right 3, open door

move volke left 2, open chest

move oscar right 3, up 3, escape

move ike up 1, right 2, up 3, escape

Sorry if this has been posted already, I did not find it in the database, and i figured many people could use this info.

This won't work on Maniac mode because the NPC's actually have to escape on that difficulty to be recruited. And I'm not sure if this helps, but it is possible to have 2 uses of keys ready for this battle. In chapter 7, have the enemy thief open one of the chests and kill him so that he drops his item. That way, you will only have to use two keys to open up the remaining chests. Since there is still a mounted unit left over, maybe you can give him or her that key to get to the statue frag.

There is only space for the 2 mounted units on turn 7 and 8 to get past undetected.

I wish we could have been able to get maniac mode, i would have loved to play on it.

I might actually have to fire up the old Game Cube and try this.

I had always assumed such a feet was beyond the realm of possibility, and IS was trolling with such a requirement.

It's extremely easy if you don't care about turns. Getting it done in 12 turns is what makes it hard.

I have a 20+ turn set up where I have max deployment and get Neph, Kieran, Brom to escape with every single unit I deployed. I think it's under 30 turns, but I don't remember. I would think that 12 turns while getting Neph, Brom, Kieran to all escape is rather difficult, if not impossible. I suppose I haven't looked at that chapter in so long that I wouldn't remember. Also, it might be easier to cut turns while still getting all 3 of the partners out if I ignore Sephiran and don't use full deployment. I just like going up, talking to Sephiran, then getting him out of sight with either shoving or rescue + take + drop. I forget which.

Here is an alternate guide, which gets all the items and characters that can be recruited. The only variable here that can go wrong is if your Oscar sucks. This was NOT made by me. I found it Here

10.1 Chapter 10 Turn-By-Turn Strategy [FE10.1]:

This strategy uses Ike, Volke, Marcia, Titania, Oscar and one character of

your choosing. It does not bother with Sephiran or Kieran as it has been

pointed out that talking to either of them is unnecessary. If you saw the old

version then you know it needed a promoted Oscar, this version does not. It

takes a couple more turns as a result but the bonus experience in the end

will be the same.

Starting Positions (Ike's starting spot is always the same so just use that to

align everyone):

I V

M

T

E O

This may be hard to read, but their should be a square between Ike and Volke, Extra and Oscar, with Marcia being below Volke.

I = Ike

V = Volke

M = Marcia

T = Titania

O = Oscar

E = An extra character of your choosing. This character will be carried by

Oscar up to the boss. Therefore, this should be a strong character that can

help win the fight and you want them to get combat experience in this chapter.

Directions:

Up

Left Right

Down

And sometimes for positioning:

Above

Left Right

Below

Turn 1:

Move your extra character to the right of Titania. Then rescue him with

Oscar and move Oscar 2 up then 2 right then 2 up then 1 right (This should

be one space left of Sephiran's cell door). Have Marcia rescue Volke then move

to the left of Oscar. Now move Ike to the right of Titania. Have Titania

rescue Ike and move below Marcia.

Turn 2:

Move Oscar 4 right then 1 up. Move Marcia right below him. Move Titania 4

spaces right.

Turn 3:

Move Marcia down 5 then right 1 space. Move Titania to the left of Marcia.

Move Oscar down 2 then left 3.

Turn 4:

Move Marcia right 4 spaces then up 1. Move Titania right 5 spaces. Move

Oscar down 4 spaces.

Turn 5:

Move Marcia up 6 then 2 right and drop Volke to her right (this should be

right in front of Brom's cell). Move Titania up 5 spaces. Move Oscar right

4 spaces then up 1.

Turn 6:

Have Volke open the cell door. Have Marcia rescue Volke then move to the left

of Brom. Move Titania up 2 spaces then right 3 spaces then down 3 spaces (this

should be right above Brom) and have her drop Ike to her right. Move Oscar up

4 spaces.

Turn 7:

Move Ike down 1 space then have him talk to Brom and right after talking

choose Direct then Target and pick the spot in the bottom right corner of the

cell. Move Titania to the right of Ike and rescue him. Move Oscar up 3 spaces.

Leave Marcia alone.

Turn 8:

Move Oscar up 4 spaces then left 2. Move Titania up 1 space and leave Marcia

alone.

Turn 9:

Move Oscar left 4 then up 3 then left 1 (this should put him in the doorway

to the room with the boss) and have him drop whoever he's carrying to his

right. Leave Marcia and Titania where they are.

Turn 10:

This is where things get tricky around the boss. Depending on your Oscar's

stats he may have killed 1 or both of the myrmidon by now and you might be

able to take out the boss now. If you can, then move in and take him out. If

there is still another enemy in the way then you could have your other unit

finish him off from a distance. Or, Oscar could take him out and your other

unit could go after the boss. However you decide to do this, just make sure

that you get inside the room on the next turn and are out of the soldier's

range of sight. Leave Marcia and Titania where they are this turn.

Turn 11:

Finish off the boss and his lackeys if you can. Once you finish them off, your

extra character can escape whenever you want, just check that the character

stays out of the top soldier's range. Leave Marcia and Titania where they are.

Turn 12:

Move Marcia up 2 spaces. Move Titania up 1 and then left 1.

Turn 13:

Move Marcia right 1 space then up 2 spaces then left 3 spaces then down 2

spaces. Move Titania right below Marcia.

Turn 14:

Move Marcia 5 left then up 1. Move Titania right below Marcia.

Turn 15:

Move Marcia down 5 spaces. Move Titania down 5 then right 1.

Turn 16:

Move Marcia right 4 spaces. Move Titania right 4 then up 1.

Turn 17:

Move Marcia up 3 spaces. Move Titania up 4.

Turn 18:

Move Marcia left 4 then up 2. Move Titania left 4 spaces.

Turn 19:

Move Marcia up 2 then right 1. Move Titania to the right of Marcia. Make sure

that Oscar is to the right of the bottom chest.

Turn 20:

Move Marcia up 4 then left 2 and drop Volke to the right. Move Titania left 1

then up 4 then right 1. Move Oscar right 3 then down 3.

Turn 21:

Have Volke open Nephenee's cell door. Have Marcia go below Nephenee and rescue

her then move up 1 and left 1. Have Oscar move to the left of Volke, rescue

him then move Oscar 4 spaces left. Move Titania left 7 then up 2.

Turn 22:

Move Marcia up 1 space. Move Oscar up 3 then left 3 and drop Volke above

Oscar. Move Titania up 1 then left 2 then down 1 and drop Ike to the left.

Turn 23:

Start opening chests with Volke but leave the chest on the right in this room

for last. Leave everyone else where they are.

Turn 24:

Open another chest with Volke. Move Marcia right 1 space then down 4 then

left 1.

Turn 25:

Open another chest with Volke. Move Marcia left 4 spaces then up 3 then left

1 and drop Nephenee to the left. Have Ike move above Nephenee and talk with

her. Have Oscar rescue Nephenee then move right 3 and then up 3.

Turn 26:

Have Oscar escape. Move Ike down a space. Have Marcia rescue Ike and move left

2 spaces. Have Volke open the last chest. Move Titania up a space and rescue

Volke then move her right 4 then up 3 then right 1.

Turn 27:

Move Titania 6 spaces right then down 3 and drop Volke to the right.

Turn 28:

Have Volke open the top right cell. Move Titania down 3 then left 5.

Turn 29:

Have Volke open the chest. Have Titania move left 3 then up 6 and have her

escape. Move Marcia right 3 then up 3 and have her escape to win.

Now go enjoy your bonus experience :D .

Note: The extra unit isn't needed if you think your Oscar is good enough to kill the boss and the two units next to him.

Hey Core, I haven't seen you in a while. Though these guides are impressive, they still don't do as much as I did last time I did chapter 10. When I did chapter 10, I had the maximum amount of people escape (including Sephiran and the NPC's), I had all of the talk conversations, I opened all of the chests, I stole all of the items (including the boss' steel lance and the watches' keys), killed the boss and the two archers, and all without being caught. It took like 40 turnssweatdrop.gif.

I have seen that guide as well, however it takes 29 turns and the only difference is the 1 statue frag. I wanted the 300 bonus exp for completing it in 12 turns, so i spent alot of time trying to figure out if it were possible. To my surprise it did, after figuring out that you only need to open the 2 cell doors to get the characters to join.

That is a bit overkill to what is needed lol. What makes that easy is the fact of having infinite turns to do so.

True, but the required patience is what makes it hard. And while overkill, I had to do this as part of a challenge I'm working on.

Yeah i read the perfect playthrough thread, it is quite the task in which requires more patience than i have. I just want 1 really good playthrough before i get into Radiant Dawn.

You should try the Elven Legacy games, they are insanely challenging to get gold on every map, but im sure you would like them.

This wouldn't work in MM either. It doesn't get Brom to escape, for example.

I think mine was around the same number of turns but I actually got Brom, Kieran, and Nephenee to excape.

Hi. I'm no expert at this, but how the hell did you steal from the watches, my only guess is you stole the stuff, then rescued and went out of range? Also, for the allies, did you rescue them, or direct them to where they needed to be to escape?

Link to comment

Yup, put Volke and Marcia at the edge of a watch's range, and on the next turn, I did the stealing. Retards, they don't seem to realize that a thief just stole their keys, or that the prisoner doors have opened. I rescued Brom, Neph, and Seph, while directing Kieran. The problem was if I tried directing more than one of the units, they can't both move exactly the way I want.

I didn't realise you could just open the doors to recruit Brom/Nephenee/Kieran.

Also, I hope it isn't absolutely necessary for Ike to 2-round Danomill. Even with the Regal Sword, Ike needs to be level 17 in Fixed Mode to 2-round, which is pretty high.

Uhm if i remember right, ike sat around for a turn or 2, while volke was opening chests and marcia went to open neph's door. So you should be okay.

Actually, now that I think about it, Danomill has 27ATK with his Steel Lance, so he 2HKOes any Ike below level 19. And there are archers as well to kill...

I think Ike would need some help to clear out the boss room. Well, you can always just forget about the chests and use Oscar, since it's not like what's in them is super valuable.

Oscar also stands around for 1 turn after grabbing the chest, so you could use him once. But he does have 2 turns to kill if you skip say the Javelin in the upper left chest.

When i did it oscar 2 shotted him with his counter attack, but im doing a transfer run on normal mode(random) and my oscar was lvl 20.

A while ago, I found a guide on another forum that does the same thing, only it gets the statue frag as well. I can't seem to find it though...

I would like to see it, to see what i did differently. I honestly think its impossible to get within 12 turns though.

I see, I forgot that the archer's in hard mode dropped chest keys, since in normal mode the 2 soldiers don't, so i only had the 1 spare key from ch.7. He was able to send volke off to the right for the statue frag. He even talked to all of prisoners, impressive.

That is a great guide for hard mode thanks for posting it!
