PoR Low turns

Tried it again. Provoke makes the Paladins at the top attack Ike instead of Marcia, but Ashnard still doesn't do anything but watch carefully. He probably has a weird AI like "do nothing for 1 turn and then PROFIT". So a 1 turn is most likely impossible.

Darn. I have one last idea, and if it does not work, I'm throwing in the towel:

Do my previous strategy, but instead of having Marcia drop off Ike, have her attack Ashnard with a javelin. This will most definitely kill her, and she should drop Ike where she was standing. It is possible that by attacking Ashnard, his "do not attack on turn 1" AI will be canceled, and he will therefore get himself killed on the enemy phase.

Ashnard is just too wise to get himself killed on turn 1. I tried it, but Ashnard still won't move at all during turn 1. What a lazy end boss.

Screw you IS! Why did they even take the time and effort to program Ashnard that way? Did they honestly expect players to reach him on the first turn and prevent the appearance of a Laguz Royal? I have looked at a lot of possibilities, and I'm quite confident this is impossible. Oh well.

Necessary Items:

Titania: Steel Lance Forge (Her base STR is enough to 2RKO the boss)

Ike: 2 Chest Keys with full uses (If you have less uses, you won't get all the treasure)

Oscar must also be promoted for the extra move and to be able to rescue Mordecai.

If a character isn't mentioned in a turn, then it must remain in the spot where he/she was in the turn before.

I'll do a HM version of this chapter later. Next week is a busy one for me so it most likely won't be ready by then.

Only in maniac mode. I'm actually going to try some time this summer to get all possible BEXP in this chapter, including getting 13 units to escape, while avoiding the chests. I intend to abuse my team for this, especially Mist and Marcia, who will need to promote in one chapter.

Should work on all modes. The turn by turn strategy is here:

Necessary Items/Stats/Etc:

Both Volke and Sothe need to be trained so they can survive the barrage of attacks they face during the chapter.

Marcia must be promoted and have at least 21 AS. She must have an UNEQUIPPED Laguz Lance and an equipped Laguzguard.

Jill needs to be promoted.

Also give a Vulnerary with full uses to all your characters, while giving Lethe an extra one.

If Lethe can ORKO the cat in the north-east (Near Stefan's hiding place), replace her with Mordecai.

About the thives, the one with the most durability has to take the left spot, while the weaker one will take the right route. For this example, Sothe will be assumed to be the stronger one while Volke is the weakest.

S: 6 up, Steal Vulnerary

As a final note, if a character is injured and he/she doesn't have to do anything else in that turn other than moving, have him/her use a Vulnerary after moving.

Result: 2190 BEXP in EM, 1460 BEXP in NM and 1360 BEXP in HM.

Well, I don't have access to Trial Maps 4, 5 and 6, and if I remember correctly Trial Map 2 can't be sped up. Trial Map 1 has been hard to crack due to half my team being useless (Generals, Paladins, Thieves, Mist and the Laguz) and that Marcia and Tanith have much trouble one-rounding with forged Javelins/Spears (Which are a must, since ~80% of the map has ranged weapons). Also the enemies prefer to throw down rocks rather than killing themselves agains my units.

It will probably take quite some time to finish, since I also want to unlock Ashnard because his 55atk/27 AS is probably going to be very useful.

Trial Map 3 is also a defend battle, but I could work on the others. Trial map 5 seems to be 1-turnable, but 4 will be a bit tougher. I'll have to see if an optimal turn-count requires use of Ashnard, since I'm 12 PT's away from him.

Hey, I'm new here, and I stumbled upon this thread from youtube, so I don't mean to necro, but is this still in progress? I know that there are still some maps that aren't quite finished yet. Are they just unrunnable, or has your attention been taken elsewhere?

I had a strat that gets a 3 turn for Chapter 7, but I didn't record it since it requires too much luck, and I don't have that specific save anymore. Maybe I'll try to get it through emulation, though that would probably be around mid-July or so.

Also, 10 move and flight.

And what of Chapters 5 and 8? I haven't booted the game in a while, so I don't quite remember their stipulations. Are they fixed-length chapters?

Does Oscar actually have any weapons to use when he runs out of Iron Lance uses? That is, before he even gets enough exp to promote and use Titania and Boyd's stuff.
